ronald4lif: Always try to digest a message and not the source. Did it occur to you that SR might have done it homework and discovered that the said doctorary degree was supposedly bestowed on him after the university was blacklisted in 2005?
His Bachelors degree and any other degree earned is baseless and he should be relieve off his new appointment if we're truly a nation that want change. I trust you wouldn't want someone with a fraudulent degree head a strategic commission as the FIR or would you? You and I know SR wouldn't have left out the most important fact if it was in their favour. |

This post take an extremist position on parents securing the future of their children. There are some parents who went to school barefooted and there are those who hawked wares for decade before having a breakthrough; does that mean the children have to experience these hardships in order to be "men/women". If such parents decide to sponsor their wards to attend Harvard some will still criticize them for "caring too much".

Politics › Re: Police Arrests Aregbesola's Aid Over Girlfriends Murder- Punch by neocortex: 9:26pm On Aug 18, 2015 |
cccxxiii: I'm seriously appalled at the descent journalism has assumed in this country. So much garbage most media houses present as news
There was no formal response from the Police authority, the PRO couldn't be reached to confirm the arrest and Yet Punch comes forward to tell Nigerians the Suspect was arrested... When?. The very substance of the headline is missing from the story itself.
Or I'm I missing something?
Again some points to note.
1. The suspect in question is a former aide. Rauf dissolved his Cabinet members and aides shortly before the twilight of his first term.
2. It is also on record that ever since Rauf assumed his 2nd term in office in November 2014, he is yet to announce/make any political appointment apart from that of the COS and SSG.
3.This case is not about the Governor. There's no point dragging his name into the private life of a former aide.
However, I'm an advocate of Justice. So, Justice must not only be done but must be seen by all to have been done. Do you mean what you just potsed ? Because I know how excited you would have been if the name "Aregbe" is replaced with "GEJ". |

whirlwind7: Huh.
Nollywood, bar imagination. Now, it's the season of artistes in school uniforms. mr Ibu, Mike Ezuruonye, Ronke Oshodi Oke (?) Chiwetalu Agu, Ime Bishop....the list goes on. I bet there are over 2 dozens of such school boy/girl movies in the pipiline before 2015 ends.
Was it Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola that sent them on this frenzy with his school uniform some time ago? That phenomenon is everywhere including Nollyhoods, there are always countless of copy catmovies who copies the theme of others. If you have time, just check out the number of movies been churned out by Hollyhood or Bollyhood per month , you will be surprised that a lot o them had similar plots and the only one everyone talks about are the successful ones, hence the erroneous believe that foreign movies and their producers are perfect. |
Politics › Re: Nigerians March In Support Of President Buhari's War Against Corruption by neocortex: 8:52am On Aug 18, 2015 |
This march is pointless and can only lead to evil, no human is trustworthy enough for people to declare their unhindered support for hin or her.
Is he god ?
This march will have been better if the organizers demanded for specific actions, merely stating "we are behind you" means the protesters don't even understand why they are marching in the first place.
Anybody can claim to "fight" corruption, but only the result matters at the end of the day. |

hinwazaka: They splashed figured on the newspapers without recourse to litigious investigations and you swallow it hook, line and sinker. You are just the right citizen needed in this new SS media run government FYI: Hillary Clinton was accused of leaking classified information through her emails. The FBI just took hold of her emails to peruse through for their investigations. She has not been tried by the media yet. The government didn't rush to try her, neither did her opposition rush to declare her guilt. Everyone is waiting for the proper thing to be done first before ascertaining if she is guilty or not. That is the way a system is run, not this media show we are witnessing called a government What an impressive response, we keep drumming it into their heads that media does not equate court of law and no one should celebrate media convictions but they won't listen, they believe that whoever is accused in the media is guilty. |
