Whoever gets the job done is OK for me. Even if all ministers and DG are born of thesame father !!

24/7 Light
24/7 Water
Good roads
Security
Qualitative Education
Assess to Building loans
Jobs / FDI

those are the things that concern me
Unfortunately your wish list can't be met by zoning key positions to a particular section of the country.
Nations movie forward only when competent individuals are placed in position of authority.
We all know that getting the job done is different from just occupying an office and this is why only qualified people should be appointed and from the writeup the opposite has been adopted for the selection process.
If you don't care about who occupies a position , you shouldn't complain about whatever result from that.
Family › Re: What Is Wrong With Being An Introvert? by neocortex: 8:41pm On Jun 21, 2015
@op
There is nothing wrong in being an introvert even though some people might not agree. That is their problem to deal with.
Your stories sound very familiar to me , it is always the same pattern of people close to you expecting you to behave
in a particular way and they get disappointed when you don't.

Note that those complaining about your behavior erroneously believes that they are trying to correct a "bad"
character because they don't understand how you feel or reason.

If you feel the pressure is becoming unbearable simply create a distraction with something unusual and everybody will see nothing to complain about.
e.g get more visits from your friend or make a new friend(preferably an introvert)

By the way , I do not believe in stereotyping because everybody has some level of introversy/extroversy in them.
Politics › Re: Chibok Principal Nominated As Borno Commissioner For Education by neocortex: 6:55pm On Jun 21, 2015
APC as usual showing how dunce they are , why celebrating failure by appointing a woman who failed to look after her student.
In another way maybe she succeeded by failing.

This is the typical reply of clueless ones , I don't blame you because it runs in APC family , like Buhari like his slaves.

One common thing about Babaonechance's slaves is that they always suspend logic whenever they are cornered.
Don't be surprised , it is their life game.

It is high time Nigeria police set up a special unit for rape and other related cases.
This story of foolish policewoman blaming an 11 yearn olkd child for the rape is sickening.
I wonder how such dangerous and unfeeling entity got into the police force in the first place.

All this stupid bloggers carrying unverified news should leave Tinubu alone and allow him to enjoy his life. They have been spreading all manners of unverified news on Tinubu and APC.

I guess you were very excited when these same "bloggers" were criticizing GEJ.
It is either you accept reality or stop reading "bloggers" articles.
Education › Re: 10 Nigerian Universities With The Best Graduates In The Work Place By (ajahexcel by neocortex:
The op based his list on what he "heard" rather than real fact-based sampling.
The bias in this list is clear since bosses who graduated from OAU will always ask if you are also from there because they assume anyone who is good in His field must have graduated from OAU.

Education › Re: Wole Soyinka Loses On Becoming Oxford's Next Professor Of Poetry. by neocortex: 12:48pm On Jun 20, 2015
cap28:
Can you please name just one of his works in which he criticises western powers, i am aware of the fact that he has had major conflict with successive Nigerian regimes but he always manages to stop short of criticising their puppet masters - the western powers.

The truth of the matter is that Soyinka will never bite the hand that feeds him, his main source of income comes from his various university appointments abroad, that's why he was even allowed to be in the running for this s.tupid oxford post which confers nothing of value on the average Nigerian.
I just referred you to his Nobel speech which you can easily google, if that isn't enough grab a copy of the deaths and the kings horseman.
Note though that most of his work are satires which some people fail to understand.
Lastly , criticizing western powers is meaningless if it achieved nothing so it is not a criteria for being the most patriotic citizen. Zimbabwe's Mugabe easily come to mind.
A wise general chooses his battles carefully.

Sorry, you ain't making any sense. Also try and behave ladylike because you behave like an aggrieved tout most times you post on threads.
Mumu , what do you mean by "ladylike" ?
Just because someone does not share your sentiment shouldn't resort to personal attacks.
From your post I think you behave like a child who just lost his sweet to a rival.

Was it not in dis same nairaland dat an article was written about hw noithing was wrong with d refineries dat was receiving budget & yet not put into effect 4 cynical reasons on d part of Mrs maduekwe & fellow importers huh So I wonder why GEJ's admin shld be praised 4 d reinaries dat were not used. huh
So because you read an article on Nairaland that makes it the ultimate truth right ?
Not everything you read online is true.
No wonder Nigeria is still where it is with people like you who are too lazy to ask questions accepting everything there are told. No nation which is full of naive and gullible people can move forward.
Politics › Re: Buhari, Not Jonathan, Responsible For Refineries Resuming Production by neocortex: 12:19pm On Jun 20, 2015
Passingshot , I pity you and your generation , it grieves me that a supposed future parent can reason this way , what legacy , hypocrisy and deceit ? , do you hope to leave for your children, with people like you Nigeria surely is hopeless.
A man labored day and night for the refineries to work. But because he is no longer in power he shouldn't be accorded the honor due to him.

Except the aim of this article is humor ( in which it fails miserably) , I see no reason why any Mod who read the supposed "opinion" will put this on front page because the whole writeup lack a single evidence backing the writer's claim.

Of what benefit is this post to the average Nigerian?
How many Nigerians actually understand Soyinka's literary style?
I find his writing to be very pretentious and inaccessible to about 90% of Nigerians so what is really the point of it?
Also Soyinka never criticises the western world which for me indicates that he is an imperialist puppet.
You must be a naive teenager to claim he is a western puppet.
Have you ever read any of his books and you can't find the ridicule he subjected the west to ?
Go and read a copy of his Nobel prize( the prize given to him by the west) acceptance speech and get a feeling of one of the true heroes of Africa.
Politics › Re: FG Appeals Orders On Kashamu’s Arrest, Extradition by neocortex: 12:00pm On Jun 20, 2015
Burger01:
I just wonder the kind of court and judges we have in this country. Just why hinder the agency from performing its statutory obligationhuh That Kashamu monkey must be extradited to the states to clear his name. Why is he even afraid of going to the states to clear his name?... if not that he is already guilty as charged.sad

Kashamu has no fundamental right here. He is accused and his only right is to clear himself from the accusations. What's wrong with that judge selfhuh

Our agencies must be independent and given the power to perform their statutory duties unhindered! Awwww c'mon!angry
You clearly lack the basic understanding of how government works.
Only in the jungle (where you probably reside) will someone be an accuser and the judge at same time.
NDLEA has no power to extradite any Nigerian , only the court can do that.
It is a foolish and shameful act for a government agency such as NDLEA to resort to extra judicial annd thuggish tactics just because someone is pressing their button.
You should comprehend before commenting because no where in that article did the judge stop NDLEA from performing their duty, the court only ask them not to act on the orders from above before the pending case is determined.

It pays to support due process even when your enemy is involved because you can one day be a victim.

This is a very silly and poor analysis that can only come from a potential or current abuser , you absolutely lacks human feeling to have manufactured an excuse for those scvourge of the world.
Let us even accept that the lady is courting one of them , does that give him the right to invite his friends over for a free meal ?
I hope this three beasts rot in jail.
I will advice that you don't tow the same line thinking "after all she is my lover" , this same mentality has destroyed many dreams and send many men to unnumbered days prison.

While this hack writer appears to have attacked Buhari for patriotic reasons, anyone who read between the lines will see that his aim for writing this article is to tell Buhari that he is incompetent for allowing Saraki and Dogara win the NAS election as against Tinubu boys.
I would have love to see this contracted writer criticizing Babaonechance a.k.a Dogo Yaro without mincing words for lacking vision and direction for the country.
All the same DogoYaro is clueless about everything governance.
