The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, yesterday at the Supreme Court demanded the removal of Cross River Governor, Benedict Ayade, for alleged falsification of age. PDP, through its lawyer, Mr. N. Ibegbulam, told the apex court headed by Justice Bode Rhodes Vivour that it was in support of an appeal by Mr. Joe Agi, SAN, against Ayade. Agi, also a PDP chieftain, came second in the governorship primary election of the PDP, held in the state on December 8, 2014. He tendered exhibits before the court showing that Governor Ayade had in three different affidavits that were deposed to on oath, supplied conflicting dates as his year of birth, Vanguard reports. Specifically, the evidence before the court showed that the 3rd respondent (Ayade) had in the Nomination Form, Code PD 003/G, which he used to contest the Cross River State election, stated on oath that he was born on March 2, 1969 However, the age declaration he attached to the form, which his brother Frank Ayade swore to before a Cross River State High Court sitting at Oleh on February 1, 2007, indicated that the defendant was born in 1968. Moreover, the plaintiff tendered in evidence, a document that showed that the governor, while applying for admission into the University of Ibadan, gave an age declaration stating that he was born on March 2, 1966. The bio-data was allegedly issued by the University itself. PDP told the apex court that it was satisfied that Ayade violated its Electoral Guidelines by furnishing it with wrong data about his age. Ibegbulam said, “My Lords, after due consideration, we apply to concede to this appeal and consequently apply to withdraw the 1st respondent’s brief of argument dated May 17. “We urge your lordships to find merit in the appeal and apply Article 14(b) and 15(2) of the PDP Electoral Guidelines which disqualifies any candidate that gives false age declaration.” After listening to the parties, the apex court reserved its judgment till December 9. This light-skinned curvy lady from West Africa has been tentatively deemed the woman with the biggest backside on the African continent as she parades an enigmatic butt. Nice Eudoxie Yao is a very rare ‘breed’ of physically endowed African ladies on social media. She has her natural assets balanced on both sides. She is not only bootylicious as young people will say, but she is also explosively busty. She is from Ivory Coast and speaks French fluently with a limited understanding of English language. Just like the American reality star, Kim Kardashian, Nice Eudoxie Yao has made a blossom career out of parading her sensitive body parts on social media as she rocks skin tight outfits. She is a big brand in her country following investigations as she is being coveted by prominent money bags. She is also a known face on the television and radio stations as interviewers tend to make inquiries about the natural status of her gigantic assets. According to the socialite who uses her bum to taunt and ‘oppress’ her followers serially, she is an actress, make-up artiste, model, masseuse and generally an entrepreneur with an established presence on virtually all the popular social media platforms where she reportedly harvests majority of her business contacts across the world. Nice has 138,000 followers on Instagram as at the time of filing his report. source:www.gq234.com/hot-photos-woman-with-the-biggest-bum-in-africa-

No fewer than seventy Civil Society groups who are in Benin-City to observe the Edo Governorship Election have expressed disappointment that the Nigeria Police and Directorate of State Security (DSS) have advised INEC to postpone the Edo Governorship election scheduled for Saturday, 10th September 2016. The groups under the umbrella of Situation Room said in a statement today that they consider this advice as a gratuitous and unconstitutional interference in the independence of INEC. "The advice is in clear violation of S.160 (2) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), which forbids any person or authority from giving directives or seeking to control INEC – it being an independent body. "It is surprising that the Police and DSS who are part of the Inter Agency Consultative Committee on Elections Security (ICCES) together with INEC, did not formally brief INEC before issuing this contentious statement, to enable all key stakeholders review whatever security challenges the security services may claim to have arisen" the group said. The “advice” by these security agencies, according to Situation Room, has undermined public confidence in the conduct of the Edo State Governorship poll. The group said that INEC now faces a more challenging task of assuring all parties that a revised poll can be properly organized within a constitutionally stipulated time frame. The group called on the Police, DSS, and all security agencies to take note of their role and limitations within elections and the inter-agency co-ordination arrangements that have been developed over several years. All elections, according to the Situation Room, must demonstrate the highest possible commitment from security services to support INEC in completing its constitutional role of organising credible elections that can inspire continued public confidence. "Situation Room expresses its disappointment at the inability of security agencies to take charge and provide security to citizens and to INEC to enable it conduct free and fair elections. The present situation appears contrived and threatens to truncate the democratic process in Nigeria. "Additionally, the huge material resources committed to the preparations for the elections by INEC, CSOS and other stakeholders, appears to have been flushed down the drain by the action of the Police and the DSS, the group said. Situation Room said that it believes that INEC has the Constitutional powers to proceed with its plans to conduct the Edo State Governorship elections as scheduled and calls on President Muhammadu BUHARI to call the Police and security services to order, as well as to give their support to INEC to deliver on its mandate of conducting free and fair Governorship elections in Edo State as scheduled. Situation Room therefore implores INEC to be guided by the provisions of the Electoral Act in relation to postponement, which states that all reasons must be cogent and verifiable. Finally, Situation Room called on the people of Edo State to remain calm and vigilant and be ready to protect their constitutional rights to vote! The Situation Room is made up of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) working in support of credible and transparent elections in Nigeria and includes such groups as Policy and Legal Advocacy Centre (PLAC), CLEEN Foundation, Action Aid Nigeria, Centre for Democracy and Development (CDD), Enough is Enough Nigeria, WANGONET, Partners for Electoral Reform, JDPC and Youth Initiative for Advocacy, Growth & Advancement (YIAGA). Others are Development Dynamics, Human Rights Monitor, Election Monitor, Reclaim Naija, Institute for Human Rights and Humanitarian Law, CITAD, CISLAC and several other CSOs numbering more than seventy. source:www.dailytrust.com.ng/news/general/-edodecides-right-groups-deplore-executive-interference-in-inec-s-independence/161899.html |
