I'm simply astonished as to why some people have a heart attack every time skin is shown. Which private part is Damilola showing? Which one is mind-boggling? Her back or her arms? It's a professional photo and was tastefully done.

kambo: no christian threatens u with hell fire.
Christians believe, there is a hell, and warn abt it.
Does warng a patient abt AIDS and HIV constitute a threat?
Dyu know wat d diffrence btw a threat and a warng is?
Christians dnt frce their beliefs dwn ur throat.
They obey d bible command to "go and make disciples of all nations".
There is no force on any1 to bcome a christian. Its accept Jesus christ or not. Wat element of frce is there?
Ure comfrtable wth corporations bombardg u wth products ads, mayb constitutg a nuisance, but u nver interprete such bhvrs as FORCE.
But wen d same practce is applied in religion u call it Force!
Dyu know wat d diffrence btw a threat and a warng is?
There is a very thin line between a warning and a threat.

Christians dnt frce their beliefs dwn ur throat.
Maybe you don't. I have met many on this forum and outside this forum that do exactly just that.

They obey d bible command to "go and make disciples of all nations".
You err greatly when you say this. 'Christians' were not commanded to "go make disciples of all nations". Jesus was exclusively speaking to the eleven disciples. Once again, you are taking a Bible passage out of context and applying it generally. Most Christians are guilty of this.

"Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..." Matthew 28:16-19 NIV

Ure comfrtable wth corporations bombardg u wth products ads, mayb constitutg a nuisance, but u nver interprete such bhvrs as FORCE.
Actually I'm NOT comfortable with corporations bombarding me with adverts. I see it as constituting a nuisance and an unwelcome intrusion into my privacy. As a matter of fact, I have Adblock installed on Google Chrome to block such annoying adverts.

But wen d same practce is applied in religion u call it Force!
The same way I find unwanted adverts annoying is the same way I detest any religion screaming my ears down telling me to follow its path or face damnation. I'm glad you realize Christianity is one amongst so many other religions.

shdemidemi: If all these religions say their way is the only way based on their belief. It is fine, no one should kill (i don't mean literally)them for that. But, we owe it to our faith to share this gospel of Christ to them without compelling them.

According to my faith 'God says in the day of His power, His people shall be willing'. The part I have to play is to share it as God's ambassador.

Bro, the people are not threatening, they are only saying what is written in the canon they believe in. Personally, I believe if anyone don't believe what the christians propagate, they shouldn't be threatened by the punishments within the content of their belief.

You too sir

shdemidemi: bro, if you say christians force you, I believe they are wrong and you are right as regars that cos they were not sent to force anyone.

If you say they say their way is the only way. yes they are right based on their faith/belief.

If you then say there are other religions. Just like they can't force theirs on you,you can't force that idea on them too, although, you are free to believe the other religions.
Good day sir,

If you say they say their way is the only way. yes they are right based on their faith/belief.
If Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Taoists, Hindus and Sikhs say their way is the only way, then they are right based on their faith/belief. Tell me, kind sir, which way is right?

If you then say there are other religions. Just like they can't force theirs on you,you can't force that idea on them too, although, you are free to believe the other religions.
I never forced my belief on anyone. I respect other people's belief. Where I draw the line is when people threaten others with fire and eternal torture when they do not share their beliefs.

Thank you and have a most enjoyable Sunday.

Billyonaire: I speak from Experience, and experience is more than mere sensations.
When I said, I was atheist for about a decade, I mean it 100%, and at this moment, people still believe I am. I personally do NOT buy the idea that the "Islam 'Allah'" or the "Christian 'God'" are one and the same thing. I doubt everything about 'miraculous' birth of Jesus and the 'clandestine' ascension to the 'sky'.

But that does NOT mean that I doubt existences of other energy beings. Cos I have seen things in dimension beyond the third. That does NOT fall within the scope of Atheism, which denounces the existences of anything immaterial (gods and spirits). In my quest to know more, I realized its simply NOT WISE to be stucked in a state of disbelief, when there is an EVIDENCE OF astral existences. Atheism is a formatted State of mind, it needs spirito-cultivation.
We have similar belief patterns I must admit. Just like you, I do not follow any organized religion or think the "Islam 'Allah'" or the "Christian (*coughs* Jewish) 'God'" are the same thing. I believe a Supernatural, Supreme Being (or Beings) created the Universe. I also believe in other extra sensory phenomena even though I haven't experienced the gamut. Your claims seem to have more validity because you have "experienced" these things. Whether people believe you or not is left open to debate.

That said, I respect Logicboy's stance on atheism. I do not condemn him for his non-belief in a Supernatural, Supreme Being. He is entitled to believe whatsoever just like other people are entitled to believe the Earth is flat and rests on the back of four elephants which stand on the back of Great A'tuin, the Giant Turtle, who slowly moves through outer space into the deeper void. Maybe someday Logicboy may experience something different to his current belief. Until then, he deserves respect.

What annoys me is how Christians try to force their belief down everyone's throat and think their way is the only way. The way they threaten you with hell fire and brimstone if you choose not to believe them is what i find utterly disgusting. They forget before their fairly recent religion came into the scene, thousands of far more sophisticated religions existed before theirs.

It is the arrogance of these so-called Christians that is so annoying. Most of them quote Bible passages out of context just to pass a superior argument. All hot air and emotion. No substance whatsoever.

The OP makes me feel sick. I almost threw up my breakfast after reading that horse manure. These days anybody can disguise falsehood and pass it off as Rhema.
The large scale manipulation of bible passages for the satisfaction of these charlatans lust is what made me conclude Christianity as practiced today is nothing but a huge fraud.

The evidence is clear; so many churches in Nigeria yet the wickedness of our people continue unabated. Says a lot, doesn't it?

It is not enough for us to lament and ask why our government fails to accord due honor to past heroes. We will ask and cry from now till kingdom come and nothing will be done. Why don't we take it into out hands to honor these legends in a most befitting manner? That way we will show our government how it is done and remind them to their shame that we are the next generation Nigeria eagerly awaits.

KwoiZabo: TITHE WAS FIRST PAID BY ABRAHAM TO THE KING OF SALEM,LEVITICUS TOLD US HOW TO PAY IT CORRECTLY,MALACHI CROWNED IT ALL,MORE OVER PEOPLE LIKE U IS JUST LOOKING FOR POPULARITY,
Wetin dis one dey talk? huh huh huh

Another half-baked Bible Scholar on the loose. Sit down and let me educate you some:

Abraham gave a tithe of the spoils of war. He did this once and for all and not monthly as your thieving pastors would have you believe.

Here is an account below:

After Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King’s Valley).

Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High, and he blessed Abram, saying,

‘Blessed be Abram by God Most High,
Creator of heaven and earth.
And praise be to God Most High,
who delivered your enemies into your hand.’

Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

The king of Sodom said to Abram, ‘Give me the people and keep the goods for yourself.’

But Abram said to the king of Sodom, ‘With raised hand I have sworn an oath to the Lord, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth, that I will accept nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the strap of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say, “I made Abram rich.” I will accept nothing but what my men have eaten and the share that belongs to the men who went with me – to Aner, Eshkol and Mamre. Let them have their share.’ ~ Genesis 14:17-24 NIV

Leviticus told you how to pay it correctly?!! Am I reading right? Ok, since you want to go down that line, I will oblige you. Tithes were given to the tribe of Levi who served as priests in the Temple because they had no inheritance in the Promised Land. Eleven tribes were given choice lands to do as they wished excluding the tribe of Levi. These tithes were given once a year and they were agricultural produce. Is your pastor a Jew from the tribe of Levi? I see you are one of those who failed to read the topic and conduct diligent research concerning this issue. Here is an excerpt from the topic. Read and conduct your own research:

According to the Law of Moses, the tithe was divided into three allocations. The first year, it was given to the Levite. The second year, it was given to widows, orphans and the poor. The third year, it was eaten in the company of the faithful before the Lord as thanksgiving for his faithfulness. (Deuteronomy 14:22-28). In the seventh year, there was no planting and no reaping and therefore no tithing.

So the next time your pastor asks you to pay tithe, ask him about the seventh-year reprieve. Also ask him if you can give your tithe to the orphanage, or bring it as food items to be eaten in church. Believe me; he will not agree with you because it is your money he is after.

...if Jews no longer tithe because the Levites are a lost tribe, how can Christian pastors collect tithes when we are not even Jewish, how much more Levites? If Jewish rabbis, whose terms of reference remain the Old Testament no longer collect tithes, then pastors who insist Christians are under a New Testament have no business doing so.

Study and be wise. Do not exhibit your ignorance to the world in such a distasteful manner.

My fellow Nigerian, I just said ACN is WRONG on this one. The opposition is not bound to agree with every move of the ruling party. Lai Mohammed gave reasons on why he disagrees with the State of Emergency. CPC on the other hand, agrees with the State of Emergency. Don't forget CPC is one of the parties dissolving into the yet to be registered APC. Check out link below for CPC's support of the State of Emergency.

The Congress for Progressive Change and the Northern chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria on Tuesday appealed to Nigerians to rally round the President in this trying period.

They said this in separate reactions to the proclamation of a state of emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa.

Spokesman for the CPC, Mr. Rotimi Fashakin, told one of our correspondents on the telephone that it was gratifying to note that the President did not remove any of the political office holders in the affected states.

Fashakin said, “We need to rally round the President in this trying period. We pray that with this action, peace will eventually return to the states.

“However, it is gratifying that the President did not behave like a former President who removed the political structures when he declared a state of emergency in some states.

“The action of President Jonathan has shown that the choice made by the people through the ballot would not be denied them. May God help our country.”
