youmour:as per the windows update thingy, you should try the solutions microsoft suggests. . .if that doesn't work then let us know also the error you get, is it when u try to download the vista sp1 with windows update? if it is you should try to download sp1 as a file instead of an update and then install it later |
ewww. . .saga is 'making sexual' with stilly ![]() |
youmour:tell us the error now, next time u should buy a home premium dvd instead of using OEM software from another cmoputer, its the key thats the important thing not the CD or DVD. |
someone should refuse to move his car, or report them to the DPR jo. . .that is nonsense! |
cyprainn:the file has been corrupted, download it again. . .if possible from a different source! |
@youmour In addition to the other questions, where did u get d windows vista key u used for the pavilion? How did u activate it after installation? |

Ring u stupid phone, ring, i command you to ring! |
I'm dead tired, but if i go to sleep then it'll mean no praise night for me. . .why should i go for the thing sef? Having too much street cred is a bad thing. . .really, |
really, the re-run is in fugar, i'm from there. . .in 2007 the then PDP chairman was supposed to have told my people whether they vote or whether they dont vote, PDP will still win. . .can you imagine the nerve? anyway its likely PDP'll win though cos there are a lot of PDP stalwarts from that side. . . |
the place where the re-run is being held is my village. . .lol |
AjanleKoko:you're right about me not being interested now, all i can think about is the nigerian power sector, do you know something? we've never had an engineer (of any sort not just electrical) as minister for power, we've had lawyers, french graduates and now an economist but govt hasn't seen it fit to appoint an engineer. you can bounce ideas of me, i know a bit about solar energy(if it has to do with electricity i've prolly read something on it at some point in time), we're considering getting solar panels at home sef. . . |
Tgirl4real:doing so at such a young age would amount to dream-killing, you could use it to start psyching the child 'if you want to be a policeman, you'll have to work hard cos nigeria needs hardworking policemen not lazybones' you could even use such ideas to begin to instill principles in the child by explaining that in nigeria the policemen misbehave a lot and so its not good and so if you want to be a nigerian policeman you have to be the good kind. its possible to use it as an advantage instead of binding and casting the idea ![]() children usually outgrow such things, i wanted to be a full time judoka when i was in pry school and i was going to join the army until after my I.T.(industrial training/ internship). but if he wants to be one in future whats so wrong with it? |
everyone is making sense here, i'll just drop my own 2 cents i think we all agree that our parents are our greatest role models at some point in time, and from what it seems, the guy wasn't around his parents long enough to know and understand their values, cos unless the father is pretending he seems to be a principled type of guy. Since farouk possibly lacked that 'daddy is my hero' factor, it was easier for him to fall prey to wrong and dangerous influences, we will always have friends that are bad and stuff, but what saves us most times is the foundation we have, so it would seem his foundation was faulty, maybe his parents mistook proper parental care as just the provision of comfort. if someone is going to tell you to do extreme things it'd be much easier if the person was an authority figure and so my guess is that over time(i have no idea how long though), the islamic clerics became to him the ultimate authority fiures and so it begs the question if he had a solid upbringing how were they able to get into his head? |
Read this in a book a while back and it changed my perspective on this whole man - woman thing, A WOMAN'S ANSWER TO A MAN'S QUESTION Do you know you have asked for the costliest thing Ever made by the Hand above? A womans heart, and a woman's life And a womans wonderful love. Do you know have asked for the this priceless thing As a child might ask for a toy? Demanding what others have died to win, with the reckless dash of a boy. You have written my lesson of duty out, Manlike you have questioned me Now stand at the bars of my woman's soul Until i shall question thee, You require your mutton shall always be hot, Your socks and your shirt be whole; I require your heart be as true as God's stars And as pure as the heavens your soul. You require a cook for your mutton and beef, I require a far greater thing; A seamstress you're wanting for socks and shirts. I look for a man and a king. A king for the beatiful realm called home. And a man that his maker God Shall look upon as He did on the first And say: "it is very good" I am fair and young, but the rose may fade From this soft young cheek one day; Will you love me then 'mid the falling leaves, As you did 'mong the blossoms of may; Is your heart an ocean so strong and true, I may launch my all on its tide? A loving woman finds heaven or hell On the day she is made a bride. I require all things that are grand and true, All things that a man should be; If you give this all, i would stake my life To be all you demand of me. If you cannot be this, a laundress and cook You can hire and little to pay; But a woman's heart and a woman's life Are not to be won that way. Lena Lathrop |
i think a lot of men spend too much time complaining about how women dont submit, and too little time working on themselves so they develop into a man that is worthy of such 'submission' in my opinion we men have a lot of growing up to do P.S. i'm not ready to argue this seeing as i haven't reached the stage of having a woman submit to me, but one thing i'm darned sure about is that if i want a woman to submit to me then it should be because i deserve it, enough with all this why cant. . .cos the bible. . . |
Another Psalm i love is Psalm 51 the way it he says Have mercy on me o Lord. . . or Against You and You only have i sinned. . . it helps me put things into perspective, as in you can tell he is thinking Lord this is between me and You and not anyone else. . . i love the Psalms man. . .a couple of months back 'Everyday with Jesus' dedicated a month to the psalms, that issue was called 'Being real in the Psalms' |
blackmann:psalm 119 is my favourite, the psalm ust speaks of the psalmist love for the word of God verse 9 With what shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your Word. verse 11 I have hidden Your Word in my heart, so that I might not sin against You. verse 92 Unless Your Law had been my delight, I should then have perished in my affliction. from the psalm you can tell how much the psalmist(i strongly believe it's david) when i read the psalms it amazes me, how one person could have so much love and respect for the word of God. |

MyJoe:@my joe thanks a mil for the above. i've never actually given thought to the storyline behind the book @thread i kinda see it as a love story but still agree that it can be used to describe Christ's love for the church, like some of the other posters, chances are you wont catch me reading it just for reading sake, the only times i've read it was when i was reading the bible cover to cover(i usu get stuck somehere in isaiah though )i'm going to read SOS tonight again @JeSoul thanks |
