Thank you for the comprehensive response. Eventually It will be European(UK) and USA stock originals and genius products. Do you run a shop or do you stand as a broker (in between buyer and the seller). If you run a store, is your store in Lagos?
@Jayman12,
My store is in Abeokuta but my experience and intensive research makes me realize that the cheapest and most effective way to reach Nigerians and your potential customers is online,so I run offline and online store(FB and t w.i.t.t.e.r. Though I shuttle btwn Abeokuta&Lagos but I am more attached to Abk recently and looking forward to opening my permanent biz headoffice in Lagos in d nearest future. Brother, It is a cool and good business. Technology market is thriving in Nigeria. 48 million+ Nigerians are on the internet, and I am sure 75% of the user access the internet via smartphones and other gadgets.
I am also into the business. I started in Nov.2012 though I started the biz to add to my income, but I am getting more than I expected. I mainly buy Blackberry fones and on request,I buy iPhones,Sammy GT +other gadgets for my customers.
Now to your questions:
1) Nigerians use BlackBerry a lot. I still believe it's one of the smartphones that is easily accessible to the low end users and students. Furthermore, used Blackberry moves faster in Nigeria. I stock more of used BB than new ones. The models depends on the preference of your customers and our familiar they are with diff.models of d fone, but when talking of BB,demand for Bold4,Bold5,Touch2 is very high. People prefer the recently launched Q10 to the Z10 cos the Z10 is completely Touchscreen(No keypads) while the other has Touchscreen+Keypad.
Some classy guys still vote for iPhones.
2) Used Blackberry sells fast. If you are good in fast dealings, customers will sometimes call on you for swapping or deal. (Though I don't subscribe to it for some reasons)
3)What works for one market may not work for the other. For instance The White bold5 could be gotten as low as 45k at Computer village, while you get it @ 50k to 55k in Abeokuta
4) I do not sell in wholesales, but if I get a deal,I can sell in wholesale.
5)Getting wholesale in Nigeria, that is where you need to work. Go to Technology market like comp.village in your area and do the findings. If your price is friend, especially lower to those they get theirs from, you may stand a chance. Also,if you could let them know the source of your product(The country it's coming from and the genuineness of the product)
On a last note,it is a cool business. If you could source for where to get good product that is lower than the competitive price, and you have the zeal to do biz witha lot of marketing strategy, you will be fine. You can make as high as 10k on a fone ( Depending on ur area, customer and ur marketing skills oooooo)
I wish u all d best.
ciao

ceeplus: I prefer Turkey to Italy....but are you in Abuja?
Turkey is also fine. No,I'm based in Lagos n Abeokuta.
BusinessRe: Anybody That Buys Cloth From Dubai by newacca: 2:27pm On May 30, 2013
how about Italy? Italy has quality dresses and clothing apparel compare to Dubai market that has influx of inferior products. Turkey also has good shirts and other product of quality standard.
If have someone in Italy, though she is a fashion student and she may not be ready to do much of business now. But if you are interested in Italian market,I may request her to buy some for me and I re-sell to you. Let me know your interest first.
but if you insist in Dubai market,I wish u all the best

jejet: If you are coming on student status, I'll advice you learn some programing skills, I'm very certain you get a job at the university or outsourcing job, The demand for programmers is far exceeding the supply. There is more to vocational skills in Germany, especially the language disadvantage; moreover, if you are an artist and you are good at what you do then you are good to go here. I will also advice fellow students (Tope and others) here to build up their IT skills before graduation (programming oder database), cos if you try to build a career that are people oriented rather than machine oriented you will find a lot of difficulties competing with Germans in the labour market. I say all these from my experience.
Thanks for d update. I also have skills. which area of art r u really talking about? Drawing,Painting,Sculpture,Graphic or no specification? Once again,I appreciate your tip. How about blogging?

Why not get a paid blog now? You never know what may happen in the future if you manage to get a huge fan base. You can get one for 5k per year. You remember I told you about it before na....

I would have loved to set up one for you if you can get the hosting set up. I think whogohost.com can help here. Check them out.

about d blog name,I am looking at a name that will go with what I will be blogging about.A name that my potential visitors will be able to know what d blogging is about n wat to expect. I guess that's what makes d url name long, but I am working on a short and memorable one.
I also want to ask,if I get a new name on a free blog site, can I still retain d name of a paid blog?

[quote author=2s£xy]I use the paypal of a friend. Yes, I am going to change my whois and might also include IP changer software for conversing with this folks because they often know the location from where an email is originated from.

When you email me, include your nairaland handle.

I do only domains for now but I can tell you, I am a kick a*s*s internet marketer with proficiency in SEO, market research, back link building, content creation etc. That was my first love lol. However, i transfered everything to my friend and he is doing well except that he got the Google slap and his site, which he had wanted to flip for $10k, was de-indexed. The site was making good money from Amazon.

For those that are having problem with paypal, go throught nairaland.com/arbitrage this guy posted a killer strategy to owning a paypal account, using payoneer mastercard, payoneer US bank account and Black Berry phone.

I also found another method used by one nairalander and he mentioned an unbelievable method he used to verify his paypal. Though it was limited, he was able to convince them and he got the paypal opened.

ticklin: Hi guys, I finally got my trv. Two weeks after I had submitted my tuition fees receipt, and about a month after my medicals, I decided to go to the embassy and inquire about my application hoping it would remind them of my file. I filled the form at the entrance and submitted it with a letter of tuition payment from my university. In about 30mins, my phone rang and a lady asked if I was at the gate. I was then called in and given my documents with the visa. It was just done. na God do am! my start date was may 1st and that was on the 6th so I dash go airport, collect ticket waka that day. I didn't submit any extra extra document except an evaluation of two properties my dad owns. All the rest was what they asked for. I prepared my docs using info from this from and I'm very grateful for all your all, Oga Siga and others too numerous to mention. Any of you guys coming to Montreal, hala at your boy! meanwhile, make I continue to search for apartment to stay grin Good luck to all applicants! God dey!
congrats bruv. Alles gute smiley

dommakavelli: Yes put everybody's cert. Add ur neighbours...loolz
Bros, u dnt need ur extended family jor.
Just your dad, mum, siblings and half brodas n sisters..
Birth certificate of (family member) in this case,I think it is referring to your immediately family(Your Spouse&Children) for those that are applying as married, whether the family member is travelling with you or not. I think it is out of range to req.siblings and Parents' birth cert when such dox may be in use by the owner itself, not readily available or even when any of them is not available or nearer to you. Ok what if we ain't in good term with such brova n sis?
I applied as single with my birth cert. only. On the family composition form,I included Dad,Mum n my brova's name(without birth certs) so,no biggie.
I stand to be corrected about by point though.
