If they are satisfied that you are capable of footing all your expenses, they may not give you any condition to make payment before TRV. So,why do you have to worry yourself? If they instruct you to pay ur tuition fee before TRV is issued,please do. If not,stay calm.

Siga: ...changing school changes the game totally.... u need to understand that schools are to students as host is to visiting visa applicants....that changes the apps....it will require a new app...which might cos confusion and may require a new apps (may not require new apps fee sha)....its a grey area...I wouldnt advise it sha....the best advise I can give now is for him to send a friendly email asking about status or go to the embassy

my own case is slightly similar ooo. I found out when it's late that stouffville is a sham college. If you could retrack my story. I've done medic since 2011 but I got medical reference which requires me to treat myself for 18mths. Along the line,I discovered the issue Stouffville college had. ( There are not even reachable at the moment. I remember sending couple of e-mails to 'em) If have have not gotten new admission from Humber,I would have contacted them for new admission letter and it shall be to no avail.

My application with CDHC
My application dox are still with CDHC since then; and honestly, I want to avoid me visa application.

New Admission
I have already gotten new admission from Humber for Jan.2014 intake.

My intention
I want to submit Humber's admission letter when I complete my treatment & Doctor confirms me ok. I think of backing the Humber LOA with my own letter stating why I submitted Humber LOA instead of Stouffville college.

What next?
I need advice from you guys. If you were in my shoes,how will you handle this?

What is residual income?

Passive or residual income is the regular earning from a business or investment that requires a little effort to manage.
The owner of the business does not need to involve fully in the activities of the business, yet he will be earning income.

Now, I want to discuss three ways you can generate residual income through your investment or intellectual skill.

1) Property rental: If you buy or build office building, homes, mall, shops, event centre, etc. or you have a piece of land for commercial purpose (renting it out) you will earn income for renting out the properties. It is a continuous process that has low risk and requires a little effort from you. The income you earn from property rental is known as Rent.


Also, if you have natural resources on your land, you may allow oil or mining company to drill on it and they pay you royalties for working on your land. In Nigeria, mobile network operators erect their network mast on suitable site to create coverage and they pay handsomely to the owner of the location they find suitable for the mast erection.

Equipment/heavy-duty machines, automobile, Furniture, etc. are other types of properties you could rent out to earn residual income.

2) Intellectual property: This is the legal right that protects your creative ideas or innovation from being used by other people. The legal right you have on a book you wrote or CD you produced is known as Copyright, while the right you have on the invention you made is referred to as Patent. There is government regulatory bodies that administer these rights, it is your duty to find out in your locality about how to protect your intellectual idea.

If you have legal protection (copyright/patent) on your written books, produced CD, or invented gadget, you may transfer the right to a company which will agree to giving you percentage payment on each copy of the material sold in the future. The income you earn on transferring the right of your intellectual property is known as Royalty.

Note: You may also write, publish and market your book by yourself; same principle applies to your invention.

Do you want to make good money and avoid paying extra rent for business space? Yes, you can make meaningful income and become a millionaire in the comfort of your own home.

I have 50+ compiled list of businesses you can start from home, but after reading this post,I bet it you will be inspired to think of more businesses without tip from anyone.

Most of my posts come from personal experience in business. I have never thought of working from home before, but a major change that happened in the capital city of my state forced me to think in that direction. 1) Mini importation: Buying some fast selling goods in small quantities from abroad and selling it to retailers and end-users here in Nigeria is a very lucrative business that gives meaningful income.

Phones and technology gadgets, clothing apparel & accessories, Kitchen utensils, sporting equipment etc. are example of goods you can import from abroad. There are a lot of online stores and B2B market places you can reach on the internet without travelling abroad, where you can get sellers of these goods. If you have sealed price deal and payment mode, some of them ship directly to Nigeria by charging shipping fee, while some ship freely to your doorstep.

You do not need any skill to start, just the knowledge of how to manage your finance, how to know if people need the goods you are about to import, how to reach people and get them to buy from you.
You can start this business with capital as low as 50,000 naira or lesser.

2) Dry cleaning/Laundry: In the recent time, people are too busy to while away time on household chores, and they are ready to pay someone to get it done. Lately, I have been so engrossed in literature that I find it difficult to tidy up my closet. I can reward you handsomely to get my heap of dirty shirts washed, cleaned, ironed and neatly packed.

If the industry is not cool, Eniibukun Adebayo, CEO of CleanAce dry-cleaners would have stopped floating the multi-million naira business. The industry is growing and you can join from your home.

Note: You may need to attend culinary classes if you do not have cooking skills.

4) Fruits & Drink processing: Apart from nutritional benefit of taking fruits as food supplement, it is now a trend to serve fruit drinks at high-class parties and events. Saheeto a brand that serves fruits & chops at events in Lagos is making millions from this business and the industry is growing. You can also start from your home and reach the top.


You can start by getting inspiration from books on juicing and mixing with different juice recipe. Also, you can try on your own to blend fruits together to get your own recipe of juice, chap-man, cocktail etc. You will need juice extractor, mixer/blender, dispenser, cooler, refrigerator and culinary books about fruits and juice.


5) Food packaging: Preparing and packaging of breakfast ( for customers who have limited time to make breakfast before going to work) and lunch (for corporate customers who are too busy to leave their job for lunch).

I got this idea from Michael Eilertsen,CEO of LIVEOUTLOUD Group. He sold breakfast packs during morning traffic in Jo’burg, South Africa. He realized his customers had little time for breakfast and what he did: He packed muffin, fruit juice, fruit, snack, a spoon, a mint and a piece of paper with the business lesson of the week. Within 2 months, people started ordering, booking and phoning for breakfasts; and he hits it.

1.i have 1.5m in my personal account as a worker.
2.my uncle just paid into his personal account 4.5m just last week,his working with a construction Company.just that he just withdraw last 3month the whole money before paying it back again.
Now my question is that will CDHC accept such account of my sponsor.
2am planning to tell him to write latter of sponsorship as co-sponsor since i have 1.5m.

Can your Uncle be your main sponsor while you support with your own acct?
If your Uncle has 4.5M and he withdrew all of d money and deposited it again,there is no issues with that. He owns his account. As long as he has substantial amount and turnovers on the acct b4 filing ur visa application.

hayek: @chains] Yes they can reject is after applicant is called for medical for some reasons. I know of a guy who was turned down cos his SOA was Oluwole. Also applicant can be refused after medical if there is some diseases which cannot be cured immediately. I heard of a guy on this forum who was turned down until he is cured of his TB.

Lailai. They won't refuse you if you have any disease. They will give you time to get the sickness treated.(I repeat,they will never refuse your visa application because of ANY disease)

There is no age limitation in find knowledge. Even the Oyinbos back this saying. Your age cannot stop you unless you stop yourself. No embassy will deny you visa because you are too old for the your intended prog. The good side of it is that you will be called for interview. If you have genuine intent of studying and you meet the prerequisite,you will be granted study visa! You can back your application up with a letter of Intent or Statement of Purpose.
