PoliticsRe: Buhari Leaves For London For International Anti-Corruption Summit by newdeal(m): 3:55pm On May 10, 2016
David Cameron who invited him has just been caught on tape calling Nigeria as 'fantastically corrupt' country. According to Cameron , Afghanistan and Nigeria are 'the most corrupt countries in the world'.. Unknown to him, his microphone was still on, it's on BBC breaking news as I type this.

Mr president should make sure that Cameron apologizes and retract such stupid comment,

Cameron's penchant for frivolities and childish comments is well known. (He made similar stupid comment about the Queen to Obama not quite long ago & was exposed by his body microphone)

This time, he has taken his stupidity too far and Mr president owe it to all honest Nigerian to ensure that Cameron apologizes and retract such offensive comment...otherwise.....

PoliticsRe: Results Of Benue-South Senatorial Re-run Elections : Live Updates By BenueNews by newdeal(m):
Just finished making some calls and from all indications, David Mark will be returned, barring any last minute twists.

For all his faults, Chief David Mark has never and will never compromise his "Idoma-ness" (pardon the coinage) when it comes to Benue politics. In a state where the Idomas are perpetually confined to playing second fiddle to the Tivs, such quality in an individual is a huge political currency, stronger than dollars

The little I heard about the Onjeh chap, he is perceived as a tool by the Tivs to dismantle Mark's stronghold and subsequently weaken the Idomas. Rightly or wrongly, perception and local calculations is the backbone of our local politics, thus he will find it hard to dislodge Mark.
PoliticsRe: Dasuki Faces 19 New Charges Over Arms Deal - Daily Trust by newdeal(m): 10:17pm On Dec 11, 2015
Worrisome and disgusting as this latest story of massive corruption is, the real problem is not that a Mr Dasuki or Mrs Madueke stole public fund. The real problem is the secrecy and the lack of transparency surrounding disbursements of public funds among official and politicians, such that it is only when they quarrelled or disagreed among themselves that the rest of us gets to know what has happened.

We are busy shouting Dasuki, Jonathan, Nghozi, Dokpesi, etc, who knows what is happening NOW to the funds so far allocated to the local government chairmen, to the governors, etc across the country?

As long as there are no enabling laws that empower the citizenry to demand for financial transparency and to hold public officials accountable, tales like these will continue

Christianity EtcRe: Dating A Girl Who Is In A Blood Oath With Another Guy by newdeal(m): 7:15pm On Jul 16, 2015
If she is born again and accepts Jesus Christ as her lord and saviour, all she needs to do is to confess and renounce the terms of the oath, preferably witnessed by a representative of Christ (Pastor, priest, etc.) or her father, who will then pray for her. The blood of Jesus is stronger than any other covenant blood.

If she is not, she remains a legitimate captive until she is set free by the man. Even the man in question is toying with his destiny by flouting an agreement pronounced by the tongue & sealed with blood
SportsRe: 14 Rules Of Football When We Were Kids by newdeal(m): 5:03pm On Jun 27, 2015
Fond memories

More rules:

1. If an adult wants to play and joins team A, team B can pick two people in return.

2. Referee (when present) stays in one place and dishes out decisions as he deems fit.

3. The cross bar depends on the height of the keeper, if his hand cannot touch a shot, then it's over the bar.

4. If the ball's owner kicks it onto a neighbours roof, someone else has to own up and take punishment for him, otherwise game ends.

Today's youngsters don't know what fun the internet is robbing them of
CrimeRe: EFCC Arraigns Man Who Hacked Into Server Of A Bank And Steal N68bn(photo) by newdeal(m): 2:44pm On Apr 22, 2015
So sad a story, even though this account is not entirely true. (I met with the guy severally late last year as well as other members of his family while on holidays, even down to his home town to see his dad.

Free info for those blaming the Igbos: the man is Kogi state born and bred, the dad remains my topmost hero for his exemplary life as a Christian leader. Stephen (Ogwu or 'war') just happened to be the proverbial black sheep in the family. Maybe this will mark his turning point.
PoliticsRe: Did Jonathan Distribute Dollars To 25 Bloggers In Lagos?- By Morakinyo Olugbiji by newdeal(m): 5:54pm On Mar 04, 2015
If only people know how Nigeria is being literally bled to death in the name of this 2015 election, they won't be shouting 'xyz till 2019' (except of course they are beneficiaries).

It's a full scale, needles and wasteful spending spree by the incumbent. A govt. functionary (don't ask for names as I am not for anyone) was here with dollars to organize a core diaspora group from the UK to carry out propaganda works, which should materialize soon, all things being equal.

Maybe when we ground the country to a halt, we will finally wake up and start doing things right.

As things stand, the fundamentals are still seriously flawed and neither Buhari nor Jonathan can solve anything because they are both hostage of this sorry excuse of a democracy that we have on ground.

My 2 cents
Christianity EtcRe: Why Is Church Politics Worse Than Nigerian Politics by newdeal(m): 4:03pm On Feb 20, 2015
There is a world of difference between The Church (Body of Christ) and organized religion which is being passed off as 'church' by their greedy practitioners.

The real body of Christ is marching on and as the scripture says, ' the gates of hell' (politics, hatred, greed, backstabbing, etc) cannot prevail against the Church.

Always make sure you are a part of the body, doing the will of God wherever you find yourself.
PropertiesI Need An Architectural Design Of School by newdeal(op): 5:29pm On Dec 02, 2014
Any architect in the house with a creative mind?

I need an imaginative designer to come up with a unique/innovative design for a World Class Nursery/Primary School, with allowances for future expansion into a Secondary & Post Secondary school. We are working with 10 plots of land (50 by 100)

Facilities to include but not limited to the following:

Admin block consisting of Head teacher's office, Staff Room & Offices for supporting staff
Playground for outdoor games (football pitch, volleyball, badminto court)
Classroom Blocks (at least 3 for a start)
Multipurpose Hall
Dining Hall
Separate Toilets (Male/Female students, Male/Female Staff)
Staff Quarters
Hostel Blocks (Male/Female students)
Car Park

Room for future expansion

I already have a faint idea of what it will look like and if your design comes close to it, then we can work together in the new year (provided our personalities click)

Feel free to post models here or send to my email (tom7th@gmail.com) and we take it from there

Christianity EtcRe: Praise Or Worship, Which One Do You Prefer? by newdeal(m): 12:19pm On Oct 27, 2013
From the answers here l am tempted to ask:
What constitute 'praise' and 'worship'?
To most modern day Christians, praise equals to fast tempo songs while worship refers to slow tempo songs.

Praising or worshipping God is all these and more and has nothing to do with personal preferences, you just yield yourself and flow at HIS behest.
CareerRe: Would You Compromise Your Character In Order To Be Rich? by newdeal(m): 3:01pm On Sep 30, 2013
Opportunities to compromise usually come your way to help you realise how firm/feeble your moral resolve is.
Take this from me: whatever you gain through compromise is a chain that will eventully drag you down if you don't break it.
You are better off going the hard way in your quest for achievement. That way you can always be yourself and sleep with a good conscience.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Luis Suarez Bites Branislav Ivanovich by newdeal(m): 11:54pm On Apr 21, 2013
The fellow has apologised for God's sake, what more should he do? Kill himself because his emotion got the better part of him in an instant? Which human being don't have such moments from time to time? Football is such an adrenalin-soaked sport even for spectators such that rival supporters who watch and cheer from behind the sidelines have killed one another over it.
Those calling for his head, have you given a thought to the turmoil he is going through right now? Its Luis of LFC today, tomorrow, it will surely be another player from another club that will do something he wont be proud of afterwards, that l can bet on

Not sure you are telling the whole story here, you make it look like the fault is all from the other side. I have dealt with 'corpers' in supervisory capacity and I know what some of them can be up to sometimes.

However, my advice to you (if your story is true) is:
you don't have to lose it, remain focused and committed to your assignment, make up your mind to work and make sacrifice if need be. I bet you, help will locate you

Can somebody tell these people and their apologists to quit childish whining already!! Jujuman from where? Why not aliens!
Black Stars simply did not play well so they lost out, even questionable officiating could not help them, they were not even good enough for 3rd place....end of!!

This is why I love Nigerians, we know how to blame and 'yab' ourselves generously when we lose matches, not all these finger-pointing.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Liverpool Vs Arsenal (1 - 2) On March 3rd 2012 by newdeal(m): 4:09pm On Mar 03, 2012
This kind of result is the reason why Arsenal will stick with this Wenger man for long, totally against the run of play-only 4 chances for them, two missed, two converted!
But honestly we need a top quality GK soon, Pepe Reina is becoming increasingly complacent due to lack of competition, that second goal should not have gone in!

Anyway, congrats to the gunners, you guys are lucky today
