3.You guys said you can't abide by the Constitution of MSSN which in every sense you have a right to. But it becomes an issue when you claim you are part of that body (by using the name "MSSN" and be working outside the association constitution. MSSNOAU never said the can't abide by the constitution, they only said they will follow the constitution so far it doesn't contract the Quran and sunnah, so whatever contradicts the Quran and sunnah in the constitution we won't follow it. That isn't too much for a Muslim to request and accept from hi brother.

MSSN said MSSNOAU must follow the constitution according to the interpretation of the Ameer else no reconciliation!

Of course no Muslim who truly believes in Allah and the last day will accept this condition. I would see myself as a disbeliever if I were to utter such statement!!

note: the constitution says that whatever is written therein is subject to the Quran and sunnah therefore what MSSNOAU is requesting is only the proper application of the constitution!

We are not saying so, the MSSN constitution is not bad if it is well applied. But you will agree with me that it can't be perfect except they want to say that it a third revelation after the Quran and sunnah!

Once you know this, it becomes obligatory upon you to subject whatever laws are embedded in it to the Quran and sunnah.

And that is exactly what MSSNOAU is requesting.

All those reconciliation meetings held are typical examples of MSSNOAU's will to work with them. You should know that these meetings usually held during breaks and for long hours of the day, while others are at home enjoying themselves, MSSNOAU representatives are busy with the reconciliation meetings.

Don't think the excos get any money from these meetings rather the MSSN excos continue raining insults upon insults on MSSNOAU excos, but the later keep quiet because as Yoruba children it's very bad to reply elders.

b. And if you think it's impossible to change the Constitution, which I doubt anyway? Why is it difficult for you to rename your own group and create it own Constitution. This is not a matter of some group of students, it's the matter of the general Muslims on OAU campus, they don't want the kangaroo excos that the external body wants to impose on them

To clarify the matter: imagine Nans or whatever national body the students of Nigeria have a forming ally with the school authority and trying to impose a leader on OAU students against the will of the students of the campus.

The general Muslim students are not pleased with these parallel excos. In fact, the national body have never had their way into the school until the found some students who are willing to sacrifice the unity of the Muslim students for a post which they have been promised! These parallel excos are less than a percent of the total Muslim students who are against the imposition.

Two basic matters:

Because MSSNOAU will not compromise the Quran and sunnah for the commandments of their Amer.
They want MSSNOAU to mobilize their students to the IVC program, but we said its not in line with the Quran and sunnah to travel with females without their mahram (father, brother, son etc) so MSSNOAU will not mobilize the females, however any female that wishes to go can do so at her own discretion.
They insisted and labelled them as extremists because of this.

Then the more important issue is that they want to dictate how our programs will go, which lecturer we call for our programs, which people to make executives etc. This isn't possible, how am some external influences who are not even students or even alumni of our school ask us not to call Mr so and so because he says a thing or two things of the they are doing wrongly.

Note: many of these blacklisted peoplte are alumni of OAU.

The following are the views of the scholars on wiping face after making dua


1 – Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal said: It is not known that anyone used to wipe his face after making du’aa’ except al-Hasan.
Al-‘Ilal al-Mutanaahiyah, 2/840, 841

2 – Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah said: With regard to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) raising his hands when saying du’aa’, there are many saheeh ahaadeeth concerning this, but as for his wiping his face with his hands, there are only one or two hadeeths concerning that, and they cannot be taken as evidence.

3 – al-‘Izz ibn ‘Abd al-Salaam said: No one wipes his face with his hands after saying du’aa’ except one who is ignorant.

If it is not permitted to wipe the face after making du’aa’, it is more likely that the person who says du’aa’ should not be allowed to wipe his body either, or to kiss his eyes.

Rather the scholars stated that kissing the thumbs and placing them on the eyes is a bid’ah that was introduced by some of the Sufi tareeqahs, and there is a hadeeth concerning that which is falsely attributed to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked about the ruling on wiping the face with the hands after making du’aa’. He replied:
Wiping the face with the hands after making du’aa’ is more likely to be not prescribed in Islam, because the ahaadeeth that have been narrated concerning that are da’eef (weak). Shaykh al-Islam (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: They cannot be used as evidence. If we are not certain or we think it most likely that this is not prescribed, then it is better not to do it, because Islamic rulings cannot be proven on the basis of mere conjecture, unless we believe it to be mostly likely to be the case.

What I think about wiping the face with the hands after du’aa’ is that it is not Sunnah. As is well known, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) prayed for rain during his Friday khutbah and raised his hands, but it is not narrated that he wiped his face with them. Similarly in a number of ahaadeeth it says that the Prophet raised his hands, but there is no proof that he wiped his face. End quote.

We only heard legends of how the school used to feed students from our fathers. And even worse, is that the building has been dilapidating for years just like every other building on campus. The Muslims wrote and wrote to the school authority to no avail.

AlhamduliLlah, the new vc has done a large part of the cracking and leaking concrete roof. But if not for the efforts of these brothers in raising

It's used by a fellowship for service, highly sophisticated musical instruments are used, they make loud noise every Sunday.

The noise even disturbs those in the mosques. When I was staying in Faj hall, I spent my Sundays in Awo mosque because the noise was too unbearable.

It's the Christians that are not being tolerant at all. They want to Christianise OAU, and even worse, each church wants the school for itself.

For example, the whole faculty of pharmacy has no Muslim lecturer not one, not just one.

There is another faculty that was like that, a Muslim dean then gave job to two Muslims, the Christians labelled him 'Taliban'!!!

This is called public enlightenment! The matter is being dealt with justly. It's important to make it known to the public for future references.

This hasn't dealt with the claim of alleged division in MSSN and running different ideology by a sect unregistered, which was stated as the reason for checking in to the mosques.

1) The article dealt with it somehow but not in details.

2) The claim is baseless because it's not just a few dozens who confronted them when they attempted to lock the mosque. The Muslim staffs in association with an external association is trying to impose leaders on the Muslim students in OAU. The DSA is in support of the imposed excos.

The parallel excos were registered by the dsa with the assistance of the Muslim staff. note: This is after the dsa refused to register a student recognized and elected excos for several sessions. They gave a condition which was not in the school constitution.

The students refused and showed their refusal it on the day they tried to inaugurate these parallel excos.

The next step the DSA is taking is to label some few people as imposing themselves on the students and using the mosques for brothels, they are using this as an excuse to close the mosques. So when they reopen it, they will hand the authority over to the parallel excos.

THE DSA AND HER EMOTIONS; MY SINCERE ADVICE!!!

Anyone who understands the semantics of language will surely agree that the recent publication from the Division of Students Affairs is a clear call to war considering her bags of falsehood leveled against the entire Muslim students and their personalities; I will clearly state that I as a Muslim student on OAU campus and owes no apology if her personality is attacked because she has without fear of future consequences attacked my religion. However, I will not do such because OAU is for learning and culture. More so, I have not intended to rubbish her religion but to let her know that perhaps she has forgotten the aftermath of such impatient action. I will also like to let her know the fragility of religious matter as regarding her office in the University for she needs be wary of provoking a religious crisis. Prior to her attack,Christians and Muslims have been cohabitating in the University community without a fear of violence or war. But just to my dismay, she said she harbors Boko Haram in the same University she is supposed to be at the realms of students' affairs; I doubt she could sleep without a nightmare if the entire Muslim students were to take up her false allegation against them and their religion; Alas! She has made it pronounced that Islam is Peace; Thank you ma! Known well to us that she is a Christian, and to make it worse, a member of the Christian group which regards all other Christians as sinners and disbelievers in time past save for recent times when they started eloping from such claims to get people closer to them. Likewise majority of other Christian groups regard them as extremist; what more do you then expect of her to a Muslim??At this point I will like to call the attention of the University Senate as a whole that admistrative offices such as this sensitive one (DSA) should not be given to religious bigot. This is to prevent them from putting forward their religious intolerance and hatred. The DSA has shown her personal hatred and intolerance for the Muslim students on this campus; this I think is far from justice.

SOME OF HER CLAIMS TO JUSTIFY THE CLOSURE OF THE MOSQUES IN THE TWO HALLS OF RESIDENCE;

1) That the mosques in these halls were formally cafeteria; If not a call to war, for what reason will that serve as a point?The new Buka and the various places both in the halls and academics have facility for that purpose.Moreso, the school no longer feed the students! I will quickly remind her at this point that the classrooms,butteries,sport centers were not also for church activities even when they pay.

2)That the mosque is a Brothel; a brothel means an house of prostitution; this same mosques that non Muslims do come to attend tutorials, charge their phones and gadgets when power supply to the halls are found wanting. One or more of these people must have been a 'victim' for visiting a brothel.We need them to talk now….Why not fear thy Lord your God?

3) That the Muslim students on OAU campus are threat to Lecturers, Students, workers in the hall of residence; this means the security unit assigned to those areas are not capable of discharging their duties, if they are, she should then request and show to us the number of Muslim students that have been apprehended for vices. If she can't, then I still cannot understand why she has resorted to acting this way. How can a people whose domain you trespassed, banged the door at them, went in without permission, seized their ID cards and their brothers peacefully let you out be labelled 'threat'?? Your audacity blithe girlish brazenness left me set aback; I wonder if the scripture also preaches lying!

I am glad to inform her that 99% of the Muslim students, save the remaining 1% for the imposed figures by some members of the Muslim community, are ready to receive her, the security, the reckless imposed faces and the entire students of the University to these 'brothels' any time she feels convenient as I gathered from the impression at a meeting of the entire Muslim students of this campus held in Awolowo mosques on the night she released her bags of falsehood. Without doubt, it is clear that her publication is a show case of her hatred for Islam being fueled by the reckless faces of imposters paving way for their political agenda and not for the sake of this religion of ours. To assure peace and tranquility in the University environment, I will suggest to the authority that persons of religious disparities in admistrative offices need to be checked!

Let's practice equity not equality.
The mode of worship of Muslims vary by far from Christians. Muslims have to gather five times daily to perform an act of worship that is a pillar of their religion.
So that you may no the importance of this worship (Solah). There is a scholarly dispute on whether the one who intentionally leaves one Solah has become an apostate or not. Though they all agree that he has committed a great sin.
Therefore asking the Muslims to walk down to the religious ground five times a day is not practicable except what you want to deny them of their right to worship.

This anomaly has been on for soong does not mean that it happened right. I know Madam Durosinmi has some stronger motives for taking the steps she took, and not just based on the female allegations. Firstly, raising the garments above the ankle as you have stated is part of Islam. Therefore, the one who does it is not like the one who doesn't. And Allah raises in status whoever he wishes.

Secondly, the student of Usool fiqh knows that the two narrations are not limiting each other because the punishment mentioned are different.

The hadith of Bukharee says whoever drags his garment below the ankle will be punished in hell.

The punishment of this is different from that, and once the punishment or reward of two deeds mentioned in hadith are different you can't limit them.

The mosque is not a secret place, there is no place in the mosque that is restricted to any person or group of people.

Every Muslim on campus comes in and out of the mosque including school officials especially security men and hall porters who pay impromptu visits to the mosques.

Muslim Corp members, muslim staffs from companies on seminars, muslim students from other schools on academic visits to OAU spend their night in the mosques.
I wonder where Madam DSA got these claims. It's the peak of absurdity!!!

When I first read her release, I was wondering which place she was referring to as a "locked room" where prostitutes are harboured. Only for me to find out that it's the sisters side that is a "locked room".

No test of any nature will hold from 10am to 5pm on this campus and she very well knows that. 7)On her bizarre claim of girls being “locked” “in a room” in the mosque “by their leaders.”

The locked room being referred to by this forever baffling Acting Dean is the entrance to the section of the mosque. On this, we don’t find it surprising that she is even unaware of the plain and common fact that Muslims have separate places of worship sectioned separately for males and females in all mosques, since we have witnessed her other blunders regarding her familiarity with Islam.

On her claim that the said girls she met in their side of the mosque are “locked” there by their leaders, we have nothing to say except

9)On her strange admission of finding girls at the mosque “during lecture hours”.

We wonder if everybody on campus have the same lecture hours that dictates everybody be at lectures at exactly the same time? So it really gives one mental agony seeing how she’s making an issue of finding them at the mosque when they should be in her own defined “lecture hours”. Does their lack of a lecture at that time and their presence in the mosque at that time justify calling them prostitutes!!! Acting dean!!!

10)She said there is a practice of “harboring girls in rooms within the mosques”.

We’ll be glad to see her point again to the female side of the mosque where the females perform their daily acts of worship as the room where “harboring girls in the mosques” is going on. The world will be glad for the laugh.

Madam D.S.A came to the Mosque on an agenda, no doubt, and the scapegoat she thought will be slaughtered after a chase turned out to be human afterall, and they, to her chagrin, came to her slaughter slab without a fight. The knife falls.

We are waiting for her proofs (hard one) that they are conducting prostitution in the Mosque where we all pray, and how career prostitutes who are locked up managed to obtain the school ID card under her nose.

2) On her insistence on “a week to be given to permit the group interact with the Mainstream MSSN and settle their disagreement”

Our records of meetings with her rather shows her insistence of solving issues amicably with the Muslim Community rather than the so called _"Mainstream MSSN”(whatever that means, unless the MC is now the Mainstream MSSN)_ as she claims.

However, this also points to her ignorance of the issue on ground. A week or not, she seems not to realize, or have deliberately closed her eyes to the glaring fact before, during and after the “Inauguration” saga that the MC she is sending us to convince within a week to persuade to come back to its senses is not ready to shift grounds on its decision to forcefully impose a minute set of faceless mischievous students on the generality of OAU Muslim students as leaders at any cost.

We will ask her if it is that easy to convince an antagonist to a truce, when he is even ready for a dialogue, within a week, not to talk of one who is not ready for one in the foreseeable future, if ever. Anyway, posterity will record us a making an attempt in her one week of ordering us to take a camel through the eye of a needle and at our last meeting with her, that is on 31st August we reported to her that the camel won’t bulge to even move not to talk of passing it through the eye of a needle.

3) On her claim that the two hall mosques are being used for “ anti-mainstream MSSN rhetorics and doctrinal disagreement on campus, including recruitment of students for their separate teachings”.

At this juncture, it becomes clear that the Acting Dean must be having a hidden personal stake in this brightening embers, for she has been seen fanning it.

Our advice to her is not take this issue personal, for when it grows beyond her purview, only God knows how many she will answer to.

In short, we call on her to produce evidence of recruitment going on at the two mosques! Her failure to do so guarantees her a place in the hall of liars, at the corner of those known with producing blatant lies.

On her mention of suggesting closure of the mosques while we go and reach agreement on “doctrinal or worship issues”.

What does she know about the doctrines and mode of worship in Islam?

Our many meeting with her usually put us at a disadvantage on some issues regarding Islam simply because of her inability to grasp the meaning of some simple Islamic concepts, even despite her claim of agelong purported Muslim affiliations.

5)On the “report” she claimed came to her that a “religious programme” is being planned to be held in Awolowo Hall Cafeteria the following Day (i.e 28th August, 2016).

We wonder the idle individual or individuals who gave her the highly unnecessary “report” that a programme that has been holding every Sunday at that venue decades before her appointment as the Acting Dean will also holds on the 28th. If not having a mischievous agenda, sponsored or wholly her own, she’d not suddenly develop a ridiculous suspicion towards an open and peaceful programme already well known to both Muslims and Christians on this campus.

MADAM D.S.A AND HER “BROTHELS”*

In a five page sheets of nausea issued from the Madam, Acting Dean of the DSA this afternoon (Dr. G.O Akinola), she claimed, after paragraphs of ambiguities and name-calling, that the well-known and well-visited Awo and Faj hall mosque is “running a brothel”, breeding prostitution.

Though we never expect nothing less from the DSA, but we never know it will stoop this low. We wonder if any sense of honour remains in the heart controlling the hand that penned that release. For it calls to mind baffling questions already begging for answers, not to talk of the shock and rage the association of “prostitution” with two hall mosques, a religious space, is certainly going to provoke.

HER VISIT TO THE HALL MOSQUES

What provoked this laughable accusations, we were told in her release, was her visit to the mosques two days ago.

Clearly naive, she went into the mosque from the male side and started banging on the door from that side, in the name of knocking, in a bid to gain access to the female side. The ridiculousness of the situation was clearly manifest in the slowness of the sisters from their section of the mosque to open the door she was knocking, for they are not used to sudden knocks on their door from the brother's side at any other time except during the time for academic tutorials and arabic classes which have fixed times.

So they were slow to open the door, and when it was eventually opened and Madam DSA barged in, the only explanation she could give was that these sisters were slow to open the door because they are prostitutes, and the mosque where we all worship our lord, she claims, is where they ply their trade!

Her entry was just the beginning of an ugly story.

We have seen this, and before we see more, we are challenging her to employ all the might in her possession to bring out subtantive evidence that there are brothels in the mosques and that it is breeding prostitutes. The honour of multitudes she is dallying with will not leave unchecked!

But that aside, her whole bundle of papers need dissection, for it is rare to find such a concentration of falsehoods and inaccuracies that have been managed to be packed into five sheets:

1) On her claim that “students who wanted to impose themselves and their doctrines which are not consistent with the constitution of MSSN Members caused issues at the inauguration” at the central mosque.

Her first obvious collision with the truth was this – And it shows her complete ignorance of the details of this issues before delving into it or a deliberate and mischievous effort to turn the while story upside down.

Even the most passive Muslim student on this campus knows the true story of what led to the "inauguration” fracas, and we all know the elderly initiator and sole participant to initiate the disturbance that day. She would be kind to tell us if it is a sin to raise your hand to ask a question at an open gathering or if the elder flying at the questioner with the aim of trying to tear him into shreds justify the act of trying to impose executives on thousands of mature students who are capable of steering their own affairs.

The DSA hasn’t made its research enough despite the surplus sources of information as regards what really happened at the central mosque that day. We can only say she has only chosen to get her info from where she wishes clearly. An evidence that was witnessed by hundreds of students can never be written away by a few lines with her manufactured version. The while world knows who really caused the issue. Madam, you are not writing for imbeciles to read. Video records abound.
