AlBaqir:Stop begging the question!!! May the curse, anger and wrath of Allah be upon the one who is calling to hell between me and you AlBaqir I ask Allah to cause the one who is calling to misguidance between you and me to live a wretched life and die a miserable death |
MrFairplay4ume:Aameen wa iyyaak. I pray to Allah to increase us all in beneficial knowledge and steadfastness upon the sunnah |
tunde82seidat:Of course it is, if not the Messenger alyhissolaat wassalaam wouldn't have asked us to look at the woman we intend to marry. From Jaabir ibn ‘Abd-Allaah: “The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘If one of you proposes marriage to a woman, if he can look at her to see that which will encourage him to go ahead and marry her, then let him do so.’ I proposed marriage to a young woman, and I used to hide where I could see her, until I saw that which encouraged me to go ahead and marry her, so I did so.’” According to another report he said, ‘a young woman of Bani Salamah. I used to hide from her, until I saw that which encouraged me to go ahead and marry her, so I did so.” ( Saheeh Abi Dawood , no. 1832, 1834) From al-Mugheerah ibn Shu’bah: “I proposed marriage to a woman, and the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: ‘Have you seen her?’ I said, ‘No.’ He said, ‘Look at her, because it is more fitting that love and compatibility be established between you.’” According to another report: “So he did that, and he married her and mentioned that they got along.” (Reported by al-Daaraqutni, 3/252 (31, 32); Ibn Maajah, 1/574) From Sahl ibn Sa’d (may Allaah be pleased with him): “A woman came to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said: “O Messenger of Allaah, I have come to give myself to you (in marriage).” The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) looked at her closely, then he lowered his head. When the woman saw that he had not made a decision about her, she sat down. One of his Companions stood up and said, O Messenger of Allaah, if you do not want her, then marry her to me…’” (Reported by al-Bukhaari, 7/19; Muslim, 4/143; al-Nisaa’i, 6/113) But it is important to note that the most important thing to look out for is the knowledge, understanding and practice of the religion. This hadeeth was narrated by al-Bukhaari (4802) and Muslim (1466) from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) who said: “A woman may be married for four things: her wealth, her lineage, her beauty and her religious commitment. Seek the one who is religiously-committed, may your hands be rubbed with dust (i.e., may you prosper).” If that is present, then other factors that the person loves should be considered such as physical beauty which includes the face, complexion and other feminine features. You don't need to be sympathetic to the extent that you 'manage' the marriage even if the woman/man doesn't impress you in their physical attributes, one man's food is another man's poison. Many men for instance love fair complexion but me, if given the chance will prefer an ebony ![]() I have friends who are not sensitive about complexion or even facial beauty, the only thing that they are interested in is the fatty features .Our Ustadh told us the story of a brother who was in need of a wife, many women were presented to him but he refused all. Later people were frustrated and asked him; why are you rejecting all the women, what is your problem?! The man replied; I want a woman that if I hug her my hands won't encompass her!!! And those who say: "Our Lord! Bestow on us from our wives and our offspring who will be the comfort of our eyes, and make us leaders for the Muttaqun" (pious - see V. 2:2 and the footnote of V. 3:164)." MrFairplay4ume:Nairaland and similar internet forums are not the appropriate places to seek answers to questions. There are lots of deviants online, and people who are virtual scholars on the net but in real life are otherwise. And many people claim what they do not posses. But simples benefit I can do for you are to say # These pyramid businesses such as tiashi, gnld etc are not permissible in the Sharia. please visit the following link for details; https://islamqa.info/en/96708 https://islamqa.info/en/42579 #i can also give you phone numbers of grounded scholars who will listen to your questions and give you appropriate answers. in shaa Allah #I can even give you the address of a scholar near you so you can go to him and ask. But all that will be in private. May Allah rectify us all. |
MrOlai:Shia sheikhs are bloody P. I. M. Ps!!! And come not near to the unlawful sexual intercourse. Verily, it is a Fahishah [i.e. anything that transgresses its limits (a great sin)], and an evil way (that leads one to Hell unless Allah forgives him). (English - Mohsin Khan) via iQuran |
AlBaqir:Now there is a secret in this post; you have unconsciously unveiled what you have been hiding under your deviant shia taqiyyah!!! And that is the permissibility of cursing the companions in shia religion!!! BUSTED Odaran |
Then whoever disputes with you concerning him ['Iesa (Jesus)] after (all this) knowledge that has come to you, [i.e. 'Iesa (Jesus)] being a slave of Allah, and having no share in Divinity) say: (O Muhammad SAW) "Come, let us call our sons and your sons, our women and your women, ourselves and yourselves - then we pray and invoke (sincerely) the Curse of Allah upon those who lie." Nay! Man will be a witness against himself [as his body parts (skin, hands, legs, etc.) will speak about his deeds]. Though he may put forth his excuses (to cover his evil deeds). (English - Mohsin Khan) via iQuran Surah Al-Qiyama, Verse 15: |
taqiyyah people! They hide their deviations with lies (taqiyyah). "at-taqiyyah is obligatory whoever leaves it is like the one who leaves Solah". (al-i'tiqaadaat pg 104) and alkulaynee narrated from ja'far as-Soodiq that he said; ﺍﻟﺘﻘﻴﺔ ﻣﻦ ﺩﻳﻨﻲ ﻭ ﺩﻳﻦ ﺁﺑﺎﺋﻲ ،ﻭ ﻻ ﺇﻳﻤﺎﻥ ﻟﻤﻦ ﻻ ﺗﻘﻴﺔ ﻟﻪ " at-taqiyyah is part of my religion and the religion of my fathers, and whoever has no eeman has no taqiyyah" (Usoolul Kaafee 2/219) And he reported from Abu AbdiLLaah that he said; ﺇﻥ ﺗﺴﻌﺔ ﺃﻋﺸﺎﺭ ﺍﻟﺪﻳﻦ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﺘﻘﻴﺔ، ﻭ ﻻ ﺩﻳﻦ ﻟﻤﻦ ﻻ ﺗﻘﻴﺔ ﻟﻪ، ﻭ ﺍﻟﺘﻘﻴﺔ ﻓﻲ ﻛﻞ ﺷﻲﺀ ﺇﻻ ﻓﻲ ﺍﻟﻨﺒﻴﺬ، ﻭ ﺍﻟﻤﺴﺢ ﻋﻠﻰ ﺍﻟﺨﻔﻴﻦ Indeed a ninth of ten (parts) of the religion is taqiyyah, and there is no religion for the one who has no taqiyyah, and taqiyyah applies to everything except wine and wiping over the khuff (leather socks) (Usuulul Kaafee 2/217) So, it's clear that the deviant hypocrite is just trying to escape using his back door ! |

Very beneficial and enlightening article bro, Baarakallaahu feek. Pls try to modify the post and improve the typesetting so that the benefits would be easier to assimilate. The content of this post is similar to what Imam Abu Monsur documented about the shia sect in his book al-farqu baynal firaq. So whoever wishes for more benefits should revise the book. http://waqfeya.com/book.php?bid=363 |
There are two clear texts from Al-Kaafi of Al-Kulaini, which elucidate the Shi'ites' perverse position regarding the Qur'an. The first reads: I heard Abu Jafar (upon whom be peace) say: [s]"None of the people has claimed that he collected the Quran completely as it was revealed except a liar. No one collected and memorized the Qur'an as it was revealed except `Ali bin Abi Taalib and the Imams after him.[/s] Every Shi'ite is required to believe in this text from Al-Kaafi as an article of their faith. As for us, Ahlus-Sunnah, we say that in fact the Shi'ites have false- ly attributed the above text to Al-Baaqir Abu Ja'far. ]The proof of our position is that `Ali, during the period of his caliphate in Kufah, never resorted to or applied any version of the Qur'an other than that with which Allah had favored the Caliph `Uthman by the distinction of its collection, publication and popularization and by its legal application in all Islamic lands for all time up to the Day of Judgment. If it were true that `Ali had a different version of the Qur'an he surely would have applied it in making legal rulings, and he would have commanded the Muslims to abide by its injunctions and guidance. Clearly, since he was the supreme ruler, none would have challenged his authority to do this. Furthermore, if indeed `Ali had a different version of the Qur'an and concealed it from the Muslims, then he would have betrayed Allah, His Messenger and the religion of Islam by so doing. As for Jaabir Al-Ju'fi who claims that he heard that blasphemous conversation from the Imam Abi la'far Muhammad Al-Baaqir, it must be noted that although the Shi'ites consider him a trustworthy narrator of traditions, the fact is that he is well known in the Sunni schools of theology as a liar and forger of traditions. Abu Yahya Al-Hammani reported that he heard the Imam Abu Hanifa saying, "Ataa' is the best i.e., the most truthful and precise in reporting from amongst those I have come across in the field of transmitting traditions, while Jaabir Al-Ju'fi is the greatest liar I have come across amongst them." The Qur'an should be the comprehensive reference for both Sunnis and Shi'ites, and as means of bringing about unity and mutual understanding, but it has been misinterpreted by the Shi'ites and given a meaning other than that which was understood by the noble Companions who received it directly from the Prophet, and other than that which was understood by the Imams of Islam who received it from the very generation amongst whom the Qur'an descended by way of Divine Revelation. One of the most famous and respected Shi'ite scholars, from Najaf, Mirza Husain bin Muhammad Taqi An-Nawari At-Tabarsi, wrote in 1292 A.H. the book faslul-Khitaab fee Ithbatti Tahreefi Kitaab Rabbil-Arbaab (The Decisive Say on the Proof of Alteration of the Book of the Lord of Lords). In this book he compiled hundreds of texts written by Shi'ite scholars in different eras alleging that the Qur'an has been tampered with, that there have been both additions to it and omissions from it. At-Tabarsi's book was printed in Iran, in 1298 A.H., and its appearance attracted much attention, frustrating the intention of certain Shi'ites that their doubts about the authenticity of the Qur'an should be restricted to the elite of religious scholars and personalities. They preferred that these allegations not be brought together in a single volume, and widely disseminated, as it could be used as a proof against them by their opponents. When the scholars made public their criticism, At-Tabarsi responded with another book entitled Raddu ba'dush-Shubahaati `an Faslil-Khitaabi fee Ithbatti Tahreefi Kitaabi Rabbil-Arbaab (Refutation of Some Specious Arguments Regarding the Decisive Say on the Proof of Alteration of the Book of the Lord of the Lords). He wrote this defense of his original book two years before his death. In order to show their appreciation of his contribution to the attempt to prove that the Qur'an had been altered, the Shi'ites buried him in one of their most prominent religious shrines, at Najaf. Among the proofs offered by At-Tabarsi in his attempt to show that the Qur'an had been altered, was a quotation from what the Shi'ites consider to be a missing part of the Qur'an, called by them Suratul-Wilaayah (see below). It mentions the granting of wilaayah (sovereignty) to `Ali as follows: [s]"O believers, believe in the Prophet and the wali, the two whom We sent to guide you to the straight path..."[suratul-Wilayyah[/s] source; http://www.islamicweb.com/beliefs/cults/sources_of_shia.htm further reading; عقيدة الشيعة للشيخ محمد البيومي Don't be surprised by the above, even here on nairaland, the deviant shia people don't quote their books, go through all of their posts, you will never see them mentioning a shia book.

Empiree:The two loves are different in a number of ways; The most important of the differences is that the people of sunnah do not go into extreme in their such that we raise people above their deserved status, taking them as intermediaries in calling Allah, and don't follow them when they err. You need to learn about Ibn Taymiyyah. |
AlBaqir:Being labeled a full blown heretic in your deviant shia world is a pleasure to the people of guidance |
Empiree:You see my brother, you know how the Christians accuse us of worshipping the messenger alyhissolaat wassalaam because we are always mentioning him such that it's as if he is the only prophet ever sent. Just the same way people accuse the people of sunnah for always mentioning Imam Ibn Taymiyyah. You and I know that the messenger alyhissolaat wassalaam was given several virtues which other prophets did not have, so this our special love for him is not a result of partisanship rather it is a result of the special spiritual virtues that Allah gave him above other prophets. That is the Grace of Allah, which He bestows on whom He wills. And Allah is the Owner of Mighty Grace. (English - Mohsin Khan) via iQuran Similar to that - but in a lesser degree- is how we honour Shaykhul Islam and always mention him. Because -I swear to Allah the Lord of the worlds- Imam Ibn Taymiyyah has been blessed with virtues which you won't find with most scholars. Just as we all agree that the most authentic book ever written by a human is Soheeh Bukharee, not by random selection but after serious intense scholastic scrutiny, the same way Ibn Taymiyyah has been shown to be exceptional. If you think it's false then present a scholar that you think is equal to him. If you read any of his books, you will know what I am saying. One of his students said "I have never seen anyone like him and neither has he met anyone like himself" Tell the shia to mention one of their sheikhs that measures a tenth of Ibn Taymiyyah, in fact a hundredth in fact a thousandth of him. Ibn Taymiyyah is a marvel, his memory and wisdom is beyond the class of most scholars. Secondly, Allah has made for every field a specialist and scrutinizer, In the aspects of fiqh and aqeedah Ibn Taymiyyah is a muhaqqiq. Just as we give preference to the Imams Bukharee, Muslim, Ahmad etc in hadith and the Imams Suyooti, Ibn Katheer and Ibn Jareer preference in tafseer and history, Ibn Taymiyyah is one of the references in Aqeedah and fiqh. |
Anyone who ponders well will always find the Ahl Sunnah to be the balanced and just between two extremes of deviations; Between the blood shedding deviation of the Khawarij and the Hedonism of the Murji'ah. In the matter of Major sins Between the shia and nasibiyyah In the matters of love for the companions and ahlu bayt. Between the Jabariyyah and Qodariyyah in the issue of Qodar. Between the Dogmatic taqleed and the nuisance of insulting the scholars of the past And in every other aspect of the religion. This is because they follow the pristine principles of Islam as passed down by the Messenger alyhissolaat wassalaam through the companions rodiyaLLaahu anhum till this day. |
Ashiat39:lol... how desperate people are to justify their promiscuity and condemn our chastity!!! May Allah increase us in steadfastness upon the sunnah till we meet the Prophet alyhissolaat wassalaam at the hawd (pond). |
Bimiafashion:Very Beautiful Piece. JazaakumuLLaahu khayraa for this. |
AlBaqir:Like I said before, there is no one who is free of faults, so if they spoke about him he is not the first. Then, even those who were speaking about him, when the issues were followed, Ibn Taymiyyah was found to have been the correct person. Contemporaries always have issues with one another, from the time of the companions, because they are all human. It should not be a leverage for us to start tarnishing their image. The strange thing about you is that when you find ibn taymiyyah's statement to favour your argument you quickly quote him and label him Imam, Allaamah etc. This hypocritic double standerd is a general characteristic of deviants. And you will find it all deviants!!! |
Esji80:AlhamduliLlah was Solah was Salaam alaa RosuuliLLaah. In summary, it is permissible rather encouraged to give your child the name of the Sahabah. Because; # Giving names of righteous people to our children is found in the Quran, sunnah and understanding of the salaf. Surah Maryam, Verse 28: يَا أُخْتَ هَارُونَ مَا كَانَ أَبُوكِ امْرَأَ سَوْءٍ وَمَا كَانَتْ أُمُّكِ بَغِيًّا "O sister (i.e. the like) of Harun (Aaron) [not the brother of Musa (Moses), but he was another pious man at the time of Maryam (Mary)]! Your father was not a man who used to commit adultery, nor your mother was an unchaste woman." (English - Mohsin Khan) via iQuran So, Maryam alyhassalam had a brother named after prophet Musa's brother who is also a prophet and definitely righteous. In the sunnah; The Prophet alyhissolaat wassalaam said regarding the above verse; They (children of Israel) used to give (their children) the names of their Prophets and righteous men (Muslim) And the Messenger alyhissolaat wassalaam gave one of his sons the name Ibrahim. (Bukharee) And Zubayr bn Awwaam the husband of Asmaa in bint Abi Bakr named his nine sons after the martyrs of Badr. (see tasmiyatul maulud by Sheikh Bakr Abu Zayd). I ask Allah to Bless your baby boy and make him a blessing to himself, his parents and the whole ummah in this world and the hereafter. |
MrOlai:A scholar said; If the Professors and PhD holders in Islamic studies today were asked this simple questions they wouldn't pass! |

....CONCLUDED Today, the MSSN is totally another thing. The old people of early 90’s [when they were students] and who did not run to TMC and Da’wah Front are the menace now. They are a people not ready to learn and who think Islâm for the youths should be according to their whims. They are the ones, if further care is not taken, that will turn the MSSN into a full blown political party in Nigeria where their ‘hope of the Ummah’ will be realised. There are prominent precursors to this aspiration. May Allâh save the youths from them. If they had left the entity of the MSSN for the students in the higher institutions who will take care of the secondary school students, it would have been better, that even if all the Hizbee tendencies are shunned by the former. The old ones should allow the students to develop at their own pace [by inviting speakers they feel will impart on them positively] as they were left alone in their own times. But the grandpas and grandmas still in the MSSN have an agenda; they want reap from the political harvest in the country. What an ominous agenda! One of the pointers to the political agenda of the grandpas in the MSSN is the programme to be organised by the B-Zone this September in Osogbo, Osun State Capital. It is called a symposium themed: ‘Building A New Nigeria, the Task Ahead.’ The discussants will include the immediate past chair of the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC], subuhanaLlaah! No story, this is promoting a secular cause with a religious agenda. That will not be the first time, and probably, not the last time. This writer could remember a similar one they staged in this same Osogbo in 2011, ‘Responsibilities of Youths in Resolving Leadership Crisis in Nigeria,’ where a sitting Muslim democrat Governor gave the keynote address. In fact, the bulk of the B-Zone programmes are in this direction. It is a political agenda, Ikhwah. May Allâh protect the youths from the harm of these people. The B-Zone is the thought centre of the whole MSSN, forget the National MSSN in Abuja, it is the B-Zone. Remember, the MSSN was founded in the South West. Besides, the Northerners are conservatives, they are not used to this Usrah-Central-Branch stuff, the MSSN that exists in the North is basically in schools and notably in Higher Institutions, which many of our local scholars have said are not intrinsically bad provided no Hizbiyyah is involved. Inshâ Allâh we shall find time to respond to the craps spewed by the last National President of the MSSN, Brother Sirajudeen AbdulAzeez Folayemi in his article written in Safar of 1435 entitled, ‘An Advice to MSSN Leadership.’ So what will the grandpas do now? Quit or stay put? They quitting is better for them. They should give the youths the breathing space. They should stop the castigation and blackmailing. This is better for them because if they do not desist, time shall definitely tell [if it has not been telling already]. We advise them to go on the path of learning. Let them stop being champions of ‘Islamic democracy,’ it is arrant nonsense. Let them learn the Sunnah; in fact, they should not feel shy to declare for Salafiyyah in ‘Aqeedah and Manhaj. Inshâ Allâh, we shall continue to write when necessary. May Allâh make this effort for His Sake Alone. We announce our weakness and incapacitation. None will achieve any good without His Leave. O Allâh, help us and the members of the Ummah of Your Prophet. We beseech You to bless and salute Your slave, Muhammad, his family, Companions and those who follow them in goodness. |
Newnas:By 2003, Manhaj books [that is, books preaching the correct methodologies of the Salaf] began to spread. Books condemning blind attachment or otherwise to any of the various groups ascribing themselves to Islâm. Being the truth, the idea of no-more-blind-attachment to jamaa’aat began to hurt some. Initially some of the youths who had extensivey learnt these matters thought perhaps they could cause some changes within but alas it later became clear it was a wrong choice because those other people who believed the Jamâ’ât were the bus-stops started to put up resistance. The culmination was the symposium that was held at the Central Mosque of the University of Ibadan mid 2000. The MSSN was disappointed. The Jamâ’ât were not necessary, many of the notable discussants such as Shaykh Najeem Sulaymân, Dr AbdurRazâq Alaro, Ustaadh Amubieya, etc. told the crowds that came to hear the final say. The MSSN did not later spare some of those discussants, it blacklisted them. It is a fact. They would never invite any of those notable people to their programmes. In fact the list of non-invitables is a very long one. How many times had certain programme of an MSSN branch cancelled and redrawn on the spurious orders of the Ameer of a higher hierarchy just because a certain ‘bad’ figure was invited! How many times had a list of student executives jettisoned just because there were so-and-so people who attend such-and-such madrasah on the list! Thence, the blackmailing, campaign of calumny, more blacklisting, etc, began all over the strata through decisive directives of the MSSN leadership. That was the truning point. Since then the MSSN had become lacklustre, seriously falling from the little grace it had. One would later wonder if it had become a pressure group or political party, or a mixture of both. It is no secret that the MSSN today, as well as its sister Jamâ’ât , has political ambitions in the democratic fray that has become a Fitnah for the Ummah world over. Many of the members of the MSSN have actually contested for one elective post or the other. They now frolic with those on corridor of powers; they blindly campaign and vote for them. Their womenfolk are not left behind. O Allâh, help Your Ummah. As earlier alluded to, several youths did go in search of the correct knowledge of the Deen. Sudan, Yemen, Saudi Arabia even Egypt [where there are a handful of Salafi scholars] received a throng of the willing students, to learn the ‘Aqeedah, the Manhaj and all what Islâm entailed, free from the shackles of the Jamâ’ât. On return from their learning sojourn, some of the students began the proper teaching of Islam via the establishment of madaaris, maraakiz and halaqaat ilmiyyah though not after they had thought they could bring some changes to the Jamâ’ât within, among which was the MSSN, and consequently being made to quit when all cautions were thrown into the winds. Allâh’s earth is spacious enough. The MSSN did not stop at that, it sent an evil tag after them: Laa Jamâ’ah , of course, to paint them black. The MSSN ought to have realised that mistake now but alas ‘they are still in their old doubt going helter-skelter.’ We have pointed out this in some of our published works viz. ‘Message to the Intelligent’ and ‘Demystifying the Laa Jamâ’ah Label.’ ... To be continued |
All praise to Allâh, may the best of salutations be upon the best of His Creation. The Muslim Students’ Society [of Nigeria], MSS[N], was founded in 1954 basically to cater for the religious needs of the young Muslim boys and girls in some Lagos grammar schools and colleges. When it started it was all singing and dancing. The beginning of the group was therefore upon a shoddy foundation, perhaps a foundation informed by the level of the Islamic understanding of the time. Calling people to the Kitaab and Sunnah at the time was no doubt a mirage. The way the fathers were so were the children. Decades after its formation, and having gone through some phases, MSS[N] became a household name in Nigerian secondary schools and higher institutes of learning, especially in the South-Western Nigeria where it originated. Thus there came a phase when some breeze of the Sunnah came upon the MSSN, that was in the 90’s. Books such as ‘The Milestones’, ‘Let us Be Muslims,’ ‘Return of the Pharaohs’, ‘What Does My Being A Muslim Mean?,’ etc., were those works that served as the intellectual cum Sunnah foundations of the group. Thus it would not be farfetched what sort of Sunnah was in vogue then. To those who do not know, those books were written by the arrowheads of the Ikhwaanee Thought Founders, Sayyid Qutb, et al. The best caller then was he/she who had mastered best two or some of the books mentioned. The sub-phase was the era of meagre studying of Arabic works of some scholars. The reading of Fatâwâ Muhimma of Shaykh bn Baaz, Sifaatus-Salaat of Shaykh Al-Albaanee, Minhaaj Muslim of Shaykh Abubakr Jazaairee [now discovered to be very flawed], Buluugul-Maraam of Al-Imam Ibn Hajar, Riyaadus-Saaliheen of Al-Imam An-Nawawi, etc., brought some liberation in some strata [to borrow the cliché] of the group. That was the first litmus for the group as a whole. The Sunnah evolving from the reading of such works was too much for some, especially the people in Lagos [the laissez-faire state] and Ogun [which always follows Lagos], some of whom later went to found new groups, The Muslim Congress [TMC] and Al-Furqaan [the Da’wah Front] respectively. Ironically, TMC had claimed the MSSN was lazing, for deviating from ‘The Milestones’ and other books. As for Al-Furqaan, Islam needed to be made very simple. There was one of their ideologues who said he had the wherewithal to declare 20 hadith [or more than] of Sahîh Bukhârî weak. Someone who could not [and cannot] properly write his name in Arabic. The liberation was however sustained, some of the youths carried on the learning. In fact, some [like this humble self who just came back from the North then where he actually picked up the Sunnah, he is talking late 90’s] had to go secretly learning lest you were told you were going above board. Alhamdulillah for the persistence because in no time was the total freedom gained. By early 2000, the coast was getting clearer. Those for the real Sunnah were getting distinguished from those who felt it had to be some Sunnah some Bid’ah. IVC’s then us to be brainstorming and intellectually inundated. NisfuSaaq, Niqaab and Nikâh, with some studies of ‘Aqeedah, were becoming the norms. The distractions were still there; some from the foot soldiers of TMC, others from those who thought emphasizing the three N’s and the issues of ‘Aqeedah was extremism in the Deen. The latter are mostly found in Ibadan, many of them are still there and are the ones dictating the shots now. The people of Ibadan were those that dragged Ondo-Osun hardliners into a hybrid of Lagos-Ogun lackadaisical attitudes to Islam which are cemented today. ...to be continued in shaa Allah. |
AlBaqir:Firstly, your claim that this your creed is the creed of Imam Ahl Bayt is a big lie, bring forth your evidence if indeed you are truthful. In shaa Allah I will provide evidences that they free from this misguidance you attribute to them. Secondly, like you said earlier on this thread, there is nothing wrong in pondering on the Quran rather it is an obligation but the problem is when a person imposes his views on the Quran instead of taking his views from it. Based on this I tell, that face is face, hand is hand, eyes are eyes etc you don't change their meaning except with a valid evidence. So you don't say; "what Allah intends by this statement is this or that without any proof i.e you don't give texts of the Quran any meaning other than the apparent meaning except if you have a verse or hadith that explains to us that the apparent meaning is not the intended meaning by Allah. #So, when you give a verse a meaning different from the apparent because of an evidence that explains to us that the intended meaning is not the apparent meaning then this is called tawil. Good examples is the attribute of 'being with'; Allah explained this being with to mean sight and hearing as it is in the noble verse; Surah Al-Mujadila, Verse 7: Have you not seen that Allah knows whatsoever is in the heavens and whatsoever is on the earth? There is no Najwa (secret counsel) of three, but He is their fourth (with His Knowledge, while He Himself is over the Throne, over the seventh heaven), nor of five but He is their sixth (with His Knowledge), not of less than that or more, but He is with them (with His Knowledge) wheresoever they may be; and afterwards on the Day of Resurrection, He will inform them of what they did. Verily, Allah is the All-Knower of everything. (English - Mohsin Khan) via iQuran Surah Taha, Verse 46: قَالَ لَا تَخَافَا إِنَّنِي مَعَكُمَا أَسْمَعُ وَأَرَىٰ He (Allah) said: "Fear not, verily! I am with you both, hearing and seeing. (English - Mohsin Khan) via iQuran So you see, how the second verse tells us that Allah being with us does not mean that He mixes with us in His essence. The strange thing that you don't realize about your opinion is that you are running into what you are fleeing from! You don't want to say Allah is contained in any of His creatures but you have eventually done that by saying He mixes with us on earth! # However if the person gives the verse a meaning different from the apparent without any evidence rather he only relies on his -deficient human- intellect then this is called tahreef. Allah rebuked people for this. So because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard. They change the words from their (right) places and have abandoned a good part of the Message that was sent to them. And you will not cease to discover deceit in them, except a few of them. But forgive them, and overlook (their misdeeds). Verily, Allah loves Al-Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). (English - Mohsin Khan) via iQuran And Allah says; Surah An-Nisa, Verse 46: Among those who are Jews, there are some who displace words from (their) right places and say: "We hear your word (O Muhammad SAW) and disobey," and "Hear and let you (O Muhammad SAW) hear nothing." And Ra'ina with a twist of their tongues and as a mockery of the religion (Islam). And if only they had said: "We hear and obey", and "Do make us understand," it would have been better for them, and more proper, but Allah has cursed them for their disbelief, so they believe not except a few. (English - Mohsin Khan) via iQuran So, you don't say about the Quran what you have no proof for. Allah says He has hands, eyes, face etc we affirm it for Him just as He affirmed it for Himself without any interpolations. And the Face of your Lord full of Majesty and Honour will abide forever. (Allah) said: "O Iblis (Satan)! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with Both My Hands. Are you too proud (to fall prostrate to Adam) or are you one of the high exalted?" So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes, and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. (English - Mohsin. Khan) via iQuran Affirming these attributes doesn't mean in any way that we liken Him to humans because, you as a human have eyes, ants have eyes, lions have eyes, fishes, goats, rats etc have eyes, faces and hands. Saying that humans have eyes doesn't make you think that we are like a fish or ant etc so, Allah the most exalted has these attributes but are not like that of His creatures in any way. The Creator of the heavens and the earth. He has made for you mates from yourselves, and for the cattle (also) mates. By this means He creates you (in the wombs). There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer. (English - Mohsin Khan) via iQuran So Allah has a face, hands and eyes as He said but are not like that of His slaves. Allah repeatedly mentioned face, hand, eyes in the Quran, and He didn't explain it to be power or supervision etc, so also the messenger alyhissolaat wassalaam didn't explain it to mean something else and non of the companions rodiyaLLaahu anhum even turned it's meaning, so don't meddle it up. You know Ibn Taymiyyah made an interesting observation of those who negate the attributes of Allah; He said; the people of ta'teel are firstly mushabbihah (those who liken Allah to His slaves) before they became people of ta'teel. Because those who do ta'teel (cripple or nullify) of Allah's attribute firstly thought that the attributes of Allah are like those of His creatures, so in their attempt to escape from it they ran into ta'teel which is another calamity. So the creed of the people of sunnah from the Companions to the day of Qiyamah is, We affirm for Allah whatever attributes he affirms for Himself without comparing it to the attributes of His creations. As for the attribute of istiwaa then I will post on it soon, in shaa Allah. However, I'm very grateful to you for explaining the three terms, I have been bothered about how to explain it. So we give the verse it's literal meaning except if there is any other evidence that explains that it is otherwise then we do the tawil to the explanation as in the verses of mujaadilah and taha explained earlier. However, we do not describe it by saying it is like this or like that eg saying the eyes of Allah are like this or that because Allah has not revealed that description to us. This is the aqeedah of ahlu sunnah wal jamaah the saved sect from the time of the companions rodiyaLLaahu anhum till the end of time as recorded by the Imams, Tahaawiyy, Ahmad, Bukharee, Muslim, Ibn Taymiyyah, Ibn Baaz etc As for your application of the verse of blindness to Ibn Baaz then this is not even close to being correct in any way. Because; # The intended meaning of blindness there is the blindness of the heart not eyes as Allah says; Surah Al-Hajj, Verse 46: أَفَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا فِي الْأَرْضِ فَتَكُونَ لَهُمْ قُلُوبٌ يَعْقِلُونَ بِهَا أَوْ آذَانٌ يَسْمَعُونَ بِهَا فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَعْمَى الْأَبْصَارُ وَلَٰكِن تَعْمَى الْقُلُوبُ الَّتِي فِي الصُّدُورِ Have they not travelled through the land, and have they hearts wherewith to understand and ears wherewith to hear? Verily, it is not the eyes that grow blind, but it is the hearts which are in the breasts that grow blind. (English - Mohsin Khan) via iQuran # Ibn Baaz's benefit to the ummah in terms of knowledge and financial assistance is so great that if you spent a thousand years on earth what is most likely is that you won't even see his break light! # There are many other righteous people who have been afflicted in their eyes before him, such Ali rodiyaLLaahu anhu on the day of Khaybar. # The messenger of Allah alyhissolaat wassalaam even told us that the reward for the one who loses his sight and is patient upon it will get paradise. AlhamduliLlah who has made this composition a success. I pray that He forgives any faults therein and makes it beneficial to the writer and readers in this world and the hereafter. |

As for saying that Ibn Taymiyyah gave Allah attributes of humans then this is a lie. We affirm for Allah whatever attributes he affirms for Himself and we negate from Him whatever He negates from Himself. Ponder on the following verse; Surah Ash-Shura, Verse 11: فَاطِرُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ جَعَلَ لَكُم مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا وَمِنَ الْأَنْعَامِ أَزْوَاجًا يَذْرَؤُكُمْ فِيهِ لَيْسَ كَمِثْلِهِ شَيْءٌ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْبَصِيرُ The Creator of the heavens and the earth. He has made for you mates from yourselves, and for the cattle (also) mates. By this means He creates you (in the wombs). There is nothing like unto Him, and He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer. (English - Mohsin Khan) via iQuran # So Allah clearly negates every like for Himself but also at the same time #affirms attributes for Himself. In this verse Allah affirms the attributes of sight and hearing. So we affirm them for Him and this doesn't liken Him to humans because it is only the name that is the same but the essence of His sight and Hearing are different from ours in two ways; # Our sight and hearing have temporal limitation; There was a time when we had no sight and there will be a time when we will have no sight but Allah's sight and hearing don't #Our sight and hearing have spatial limitation; for Instance I can't hear what's going on in the next street but Allah's attribute is not like that. So upon this basis you should build your understanding of the attributes of Allah. |

you obviously don't know what Albaqir have written on Mu'awiyah ibn Abi Sufyan and ibn Hind. Cursing him is a waste because Rasulullah, salallahu alayhi wa Ahli, had declared him a Baghi and Imam of hell-fire. May Allah disgrace his followers and sympathizers of this present age.
