AlMuflihah:Ibn Katheer mentioned that; Imam Malik used the verse as evidence that the shia are disbelievers, because of the part of the verse that says; " ....He may enrage the disbelievers with them.." tafseer ibn Katheer 7/362 Imam Qurtubiyy said; Malik has done well in his statement and was right in his interpretation... (tafseer Qurtubiyy 16/297) As for the claim of the rafidhah that the Quran was changed, then they are not muslims, rather it is a sect that was innovated 25 years after the prophet's death alyhissolaat wassalaam (Al fisal fil milal wa nihal 2/65) https://islamqa.info/ar/113676 |
Empiree:I believe you don't know the implication(s) of those things he is uttering. If not you wouldn't even dare to say a tenth of what you are saying. I seek refuge in Allah from the evil of those who do not honour the companions of Allah's messenger alyhissolaat wassalaam. Anyway, I have no personal hatred for OP because he has neither transgressed my wealth or honour (except during arguments which I understand and pardon). I only have hatred for the evils he utters, spreads and calls to |
AlMuflihah:AlhamduliLlah, I read the article too, and increased in knowledge and guidance. But Abu Hurayrah is free of the evil OP ascribes to him. |
AlMuflihah:I don't think you finished the article. What is meant, according to the scholars, is that Allaah created Adam with the ability to hear and see, and to speak when he wants. These are also attributes of Allaah, for He is All-Hearing, All-Seeing, and He speaks when He wants, and He has a Face, may He be glorified and exalted. But it does not mean that there is any resemblance or likeness. Rather the image of Allaah is different from that of created beings. What is meant is that He is All-Hearing, All-Seeing, and He speaks when He wants, and He created Adam also able to hear and see, with a face and hands and feet. But man’s hearing is not like Allaah’s hearing, his seeing is not like Allaah’s seeing, his speaking is not like Allaah’s speaking. Rather Allaah has attributes that befit His majesty and might, and man has attributes that befit him, attributes that are finite and imperfect, whereas the attributes of Allaah are perfect, with no shortcomings, infinite and without end. Hence Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “There is nothing like Him, and He is the All‑Hearer, the All‑Seer” [al-Shoora 42:11] “And there is none co‑equal or comparable unto Him” [al-Ikhlaas 112:4] So it is not permissible to strike the face or say “May Allaah deform your face”. End quote. Majmoo’ Fataawa al-Shaykh , 4/226 Another thing that will help to explain the meaning of this hadeeth is the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him): “The first group to enter Paradise will be in the image of the moon” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 3245; Muslim, 2834.” What the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) meant here is that the first group will be in human form, but because of their purity, beauty and brightness of face they will look like the moon, so they are likened to the moon, but without resembling it. So just because a thing is said to be in the image of a thing it does not mean that it is like it in all aspects. The Prophet’s words, “Adam was created in His image” means that Allaah created Adam in His image, for He has a face, an eye, a hand, and a foot, and Adam had a face, an eye, a hand, and a foot… but that does not mean that these things are exactly the same. There is some similarity, but it is not exactly the same. Similarly the first group to enter Paradise are likened to the moon, but they are not exactly the same. This confirms the view of Ahl al-Sunnah wa'l-Jamaa'ah, who say that none of the attributes of Allaah can be likened to the attributes of created beings, without distorting or misinterpreting, or discussing how or likening Him to His creation. See Sharh al-‘Aqeedah al-Waasitah by Shaykh Muhammad ibn ‘Uthaymeen, 1/107, 293. |
Empiree:This is Empiree, he just follows around, doesn't induce crises but catalyses it. These are the two most important people you should identify on the forum. The others are mostly the common Muslims that you know and they vary in their knowledge of Islam and adherence to it. I'm Newnas, trying to spread the sunnah of Allah's messenger alyhissolaat wassalaam according to the interpretation of the righteous predecessors i.e companions and those who follow them. |
AlMuflihah:He is a shia, a twelve imam shia, the worst of all sects. |
AlBaqir:Even the dotard knows that there's no point for you in these narrations! I'm really disappointed in you, just yesterday I was thinking; AlBaqir is a brilliant boy... if only he would repent! But the pious predecessors (salaf) used to say; "anyone who stands by the sunnah will always have a share in Allah's promise to His Messenger alyhissolaat wassalaam "wa rafa'naa laka dhikrak" and anyone who deviates from it will always have a share in Allah's statement that "inna shaaniaka huwal abtar"! That's why even the wisest of people begin to speak like mentally deprived individuals the moment they they decide to follow their desires instead of the truth! Anyway, I'll -as I've always done- clarify these doubts for you, hoping that Allah makes it a means of repentance for you and also accepts it as an act of worship from me. So calm down while I prepare and upload your refutation. |
Qaasim al-Joo’ee said: “I advise you with five matters: • 1- When you are treated unjustly, do not behave unjustly; 2- When you are praised do not become happy; 3- When you are criticised, do not become upset; 4- When you are not believed, do not become angry; 5- If the people act deceitfully towards you, do not act deceitfully towards them. ~(Related by Ibn al-Jawzee in Sifatus-Safwaa, 2/200) ------------------------------------- My Dear Sister in Islaam! The Prophet fasted on the day of the week that he was born - not his annual birthday. That day (Monday), returned 52 times in a year and he fasted each of them. And a Monday is the same in all calendars. He also gave two reasons for the practice: "The day I was born and the day I was sent (as a prophet)". That perhaps explains why no single companion of his was known to have fasted on his own annual birthday, or on the 52 weekly returns of the day he (companion) was born. Rather, they fasted that Monday that the Prophet was born and sent because of its significance to Islam. aloyemeka1:You need a hobby!!! |
Long life is a blessing from Allah provided that it is spent in righteous deeds. But a long life spent on sins and frivolities will increase one in nothing but misfortune and punishment (may Allah save us from such) The messenger of Allah alyhissolaat wassalaam used to seek refuge from evil of old age as reported by Imam Bukharee in his soheeh; Narrated Anas bin Malik (Radhiallahu anhu): The Prophet (Sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) used to say, "O Allah! I seek refuge with You from helplessness, laziness, cowardice and feeble old age; I seek refuge with You from afflictions of life and death and seek refuge with You from the punishment in the grave." [Sahih Bukhari - Book of Tafseer chapter Quran 16:70 Imam Muslim also has a report similar to that in his soheeh (2723). see Riyadh soliheen by Imam Nawawiyy (5/1455) and also the common prayer book 'citadel of the believer' under the morning and evening adhkar. according to fathul baari; the evil of old age is kharaf (senility and dotage). |
AlBaqir:A professional research!!! I don't doubt your deviation from the truth ! The earlier you repent the better for you! |
Iolite:First error; This isn't about hatred, it's about warning and enlightening the people about the reality of the shia sect. whoever wishes to follow them after the manifest truth has come to him, then I am not in charge of the hearts of men. And what emphasises my point is what I stated at the beginning of the post ; "In the light of this, I have decided to share some of the uncountable deviations of the shia religion from the orthodox and Pristine Islamic creed and belief. These are not mere claims rather, they are fully referenced! I hope that Allah makes it a means to save my brothers and sisters from the misfortune of being a shite and also make it a cause of repentance for the deviants. I also ask Him to accept it as an act of worship from me. He is indeed All-Hearing Oft-Forgiving." Second error; You need to go over the posts/comments of AlBaqir and his cohorts to know the meaning of hate preaching. #On this forum, they declared two of the prophet's wives as deviants. #They called Abu Hurayrah a fabricator and AlBaqir even repeatedly qualified him with the word "DOTARD"! #They declared the two khalifahs Abu Bakr and Umar to be deviants who distorted the messenge of the prophet alyhissolaat wassalaam after his demise. These are just some of their misguidance that they have manifested live on this forum. So, it's very disappointing to see people comment with little or no knowledge of the history of matters. As you can see, I am not attacking them because they transgressed my personal rights, rather it's because they are destroying Islam in the name of Islam. And that's the greater problem. I pray that Allah makes this beneficial for me and you and others. I also pray that He causes the deviants to repent and return to the sunnah of Allah's messenger alyhissolaat wassalaam and the understanding of the companions rodiyaLLaahu anhum. Please pardon me for my tough and direct speech, it's my nature, if I try to speak softer my expression will be handicapped and my points won't be made. |
AlBaqir:first error; #Begging the question! Second error; Double standard, if truly what you stated is your standard, you shouldn't have commented on most of those threads created by me and others; eg the mut'ah thread, the companions, thread etc |
إنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون. [The Passing of Sheikh Muhammad Ayyoub] It was at Fajr time this morning I received the sad news about the passing of our beloved Sheikh Muhammad Ayyoub, rahimahullahu ta'aala from his son in Madinah. He was a man whose life was in service to the Book of Allah and its teaching from his earliest days right through to his final moments before returning to his Lord. Born in Makkah in 1952, the son of a poor Burmese migrant, his family had fled oppression against Muslims in their native Burma. His childhood was difficult. The eldest of his siblings, he had to work to provide for his family (as his father was imprisoned at the time in Burma) while at the same time attending his daily hifdh classes in Makkah. At the time, there were very few developed roads and none of the tunnels through mountains we see today and so the Sheikh mentions in a rare interview that his daily journey on foot to the masjid where he studied involved the ascending and descending of two steep hills between which were wild dogs and other desert creatures. A testament to his dedication from a young age in this era of Skype classes from the comfort of our bedrooms. As he grew older, he showed a great aptitude for the recitation of the Qur'an, impressing his teacher Sheikh Khaleelur Rahman, who held him to a rigorous high standard and who he accompanied wherever he went, practising and perfecting his recitation. In the year 1410h (1990) the Sheikh had just been given the position of Imam in Masjid Quba. The head imam of Masjid Nabawi at the time, Sheikh Abdul Aziz As-Salih was informed of a new imam by the name of Muhammad Ayyoub in Masjid Quba who was known for his beautiful voice and excellent skill in recitation. Sheikh Abdul Aziz towards the end of Sha'ban (just before the start of Ramadan that year) summoned Muhammad Ayyoub to a gathering. Towards the end he called him to sit next to him in front of everyone and asked him to recite. The Sheikh, unsure of what exactly was happening proceeded to recite, something that was as natural to him as breathing, wowing everyone in the gathering. Sheikh Abdul Aziz who was taken aback immediately said to him (with only a few days notice before the start of Ramadan) "You will be leading taraweeh in the Masjid of the Messenger of Allah, salAllahu 'alayhi wasallam". Dazed and unable to believe what had just happened, he prepared himself for the great moment. He says about his first night in the mihrab of the Prophet (salAllahu 'alayhi wa sallam's) masjid, "My heart was racing and my ears were buzzing. My hands were shaking uncontrollably from the greatness of where I stood and in remembrance of those who stood here before me. I sought refuge with Allah and proceeded." He also said, "Every single time I stood at the mihrab of the Messenger of Allah, salAllahu 'alayhi wasallam, I was filled with intense awe and a deep fear. A fear that I would not be able to do justice to this great position nor fulfil this heavy responsibility on my shoulders." In his first year as Imam, he led all 20 rak'ahs of taraweeh alone for the entirety of Ramadan apart from three days. A feat matched only by one other imam of the Haram, Sheikh 'Ali Jabir in Masjid Haram (who was a close friend of his and over whom he led the janaza). His teacher Sheikh Khaleelur Rahman was away when Sheikh Muhammad Ayyoub was appointed and only found out when he heard his student on the live radio broadcast from Masjid Nabawi. He would then call him everyday, pray for him and remind him of the importance of sincerity. The Sheikh would continue to lead taraweeh and tahajjud in the Haram till 1417 after which he was removed. He spent a few years leading at Masjid Quba and various other masaajid. He would continue on to teach tafseer at the Islamic University right up until his retirement in 2014. The Sheikh travelled extensively delivering lectures and study programs on Arabic Language, Qur'an, 'aqeedah and fiqh in places such as Pakistan, Malaysia, India, Senegal and Turkey. Green Lane Masjid in Birmingham hosted him in the 90s where the Sheikh lead the Taraweeh Prayers. After his retirement the Sheikh took on a handful of dedicated huffadh who he would listen to in order to give them ijaaza, daily in Masjid Nabawi right up until he passed away. Despite his ill health, he did this daily and would never fail to show up, often listening to 4 students simultaneously while stopping and correcting each one, something I witnessed personally. He would then head back to his Masjid where he lead 'Isha and Fajr everyday. He holds a very unique position in the world of Qur'an reciters, respected widely by Qurraa from all backgrounds and nationalities. He had a massive impact on reciters in Saudi Arabia in general, being a master of the hijazi style which by his aptitude and position at Masjid Nabawi, became very popular. Mishary Rashid in a recent show he did on biographies of modern day Qurra, said about the Sheikh, "He was the Mustafa Ismail of the Arabian Peninsula, in that he was far more influential in shaping the recitation of many reciters and imams of masaajid in that region than anyone else." Today he is widely imitated even in the Haramain with imams such as Abdullah Johani, Bandar Baleela, Ahmad Talib Hameed and Khalid AlGhamidi in both Makkah and Madinah demonstrating being deeply influenced by him as they studied the Qur'an themselves. He maintained a sadness that remained with him after no longer being appointed to lead at Masjid Nabawi in 1417h. The Sheikh mentioned in an interview, when asked about his wishes for the future, that he hoped he be given the opportunity to lead in the Prophet salAllahu 'alayhi wasallam's masjid one last time before he returns to Allah. His duas were answered as he was appointed one last time to lead taraweeh in the final Ramadan of his life in 1436h (2015) before returning to His Lord at Fajr 9th Rajab 1437h (16th April 2016). I was blessed to meet the Sheikh a number of times including praying behind him in Ramadan 2015 and again just two weeks ago before his passing, in Masjid Nabawi as he sat and listened to his students. His final words to me were, "The Arabic language is not difficult. Had it been as such, we would not have been able to memorise and learn the Book of Allah as it has been today from east to west." The Janazah will be today 16th April 2016 after Dhuhr in Masjid Nabawi. The Sheikh I believe has 13 children, 5 of them men and 8 of the women. The men are all huffadh and accomplished within their fields and a handful of the women are huffadh, some still memorising and also well studied in their respective fields. May Allah raise him in rank in the Hereafter and allow the Book to which he dedicated his life to intercede for him in the grave and on Qiyamah. May Allah join him with the Messenger of Allah salAllahu 'alayhi wasallam, Abu Bakr (ra), 'Umar (ra), 'Uthman (ra), 'Ali (ra) and all those of the righteous whom he shared the imamate of that blessed masjid with throughout history, in the Aakhirah. Why do Shia make shrines of the graves? I have asked this on Shia Chat, 0 replies. Shia Chat is crap, no-one's on it. Whoever told me to refer to it and ask there is wrong and foolish. Only... Extract from article written by: Ibn al-Hashimi Shia believe that the Imams are infallible and posses many attributes of Allah. But the Shia don’t stop there; they have taken it to the next level. The Shia have erected shrines over the graves of their Imams. Millions of Shia from all over the world visit these shrines in Iran and Iraq to pray in them. The Ahlus Sunnah is stunned by this pagan practise of creating shrines and grave-worshipping. The Shia will argue that they really aren’t praying to the deceased, but that really doesn’t make any sense. Why then do they travel all the way to Iran to do prayer? Surely they believe there is some benefit of praying next to the body of a deceased Imam? Otherwise, why would they come from so far to do it?Shrines are completely Haram (forbidden) in Islam because they are paganistic and polythiestic in nature. How is it that the Shia do not realize that what they are doing is completely antithetical to the entire mission of the Prophet ( ﺻﻠّﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺁﻟﻪ ﻭﺳﻠّﻢ ) who was sent to guide a shrine-worshipping people? The Prophet ( ﺻﻠّﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺁﻟﻪ ﻭﺳﻠّﻢ ) repeatedly condemned grave-worshipping in the authentic Hadith: “Beware of those who preceded you and used to take the graves of their prophets and righteous men as places of worship, but you must not take graves as mosques; I forbid you to do that.” (Sahih Muslim) “May Allah’s curse be on the Jews for they built the places of worship at the graves of their Prophets.” (Sahih Bukhari) “May Allah curse the Jews and Christians for they built the places of worship at the graves of their Prophets.” (Sahih Bukhari) “If any religious man dies amongst those people they would build a place of worship at his grave and make these pictures in it. They will be the worst creature in the sight of Allah on the Day of Resurrection.” (Sahih Bukhari) “Do not sit on the graves and do not pray facing towards them.” (Sahih Bukhari) Shia will make the futile argument that they really aren’t praying to the deceased person. It just so happens that they pray next to the grave and supplicate. Indeed, this argument sounds very similar to what modern-day Hindus claim. Hindus say that they don’t really worship the idol itself, that they really are worshipping God, and that they are just facing the idol. We see there is very little difference between what the Shia say and what the Hindus say.The Islamic ethos deplores all idol-worshipping and is very strict in forbidding it. There is absolutely no point in praying next to someone’s grave. There is no benefit in it, and grave-worship is considered a grave sin (no pun intended). It is Shirk, and no matter what the intention is, it is still praying to the creation instead of the Creator. We urge any Shia reading this to immediately cease engaging in idol-worshipping. If a Muslim wants to “pay his respects” to a religious person of old, the best way to do that is to be an upright Muslim: to read Quran, to pray Salat, to give Zakat, to make Hajj, and to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet ( ﺻﻠّﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺁﻟﻪ ﻭﺳﻠّﻢ ). The Prophet ( ﺻﻠّﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻠﻴﻪ ﻭﺁﻟﻪ ﻭﺳﻠّﻢ ) does not want anyone to commit Shirk to him. Ali ( ﺭﺿّﻰ ﺍﻟﻠﻪ ﻋﻨﻪ ) does not want anyone to commit Shirk to him. Neither would any pious person ever want someone to use them to commit Shirk. It is polythiestic the manner in which the Shia go to their shrines and cry next to them, rub them, and pray to them. It is Shirk reminscent of the Jahiliyyah times when the pagan Arabs used to do this. Tawheedullah (the Unity and Oneness of Allah) is the central tenet of Islam, and the Shia are guilty of violating this core belief by engaging in Shirk, which is the absolute major sin in Islam. The main emphasis in Islam is to stay away from Shirk, and yet the Shia embrace practises and customs that foster Shirk. My opinion: Shia, though they don't realize it, are engaging in TOTAL SHIRK, by doing grave-worship. source; https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110523103657AAbtVhO |
Lanreylan:firstly; If you were a shia, I might not bite you, but you are not a shia and you still defend them blindly! Tell me why you don't deserve a bite! You see, you don't defend a person that you know little or nothing about. Even the shia don't deny it, it's in their books, so why are you defending them blindly. I'll give you an example of my daunting posts regarding them here on nairaland; www.nairaland.com/3015474/nail-shia-coffin-must-read#44187308 please visit the thread. I invited AlBaqir to the thread repeatedly but he kept evading and hiding. secondly; Didn't you see the references?! The problem with these shia is they don't read their books! I'm yet to know why, even AlBaqir that quotes and interpolates texts from books doesn't quote from their books. In my research, I found two reasons for this; # The shia have lost hope in their religion and are only concerned with misguiding others #The shia want their ugly creeds to be hidden from the generality and don't want them to be known except to their loyalists. I'll post example(s) for the second reason. As for the first then it's obvious that even you are ignorant of what the shia books contain! As for your question about my possession of the books, even the softcopy, Allah knows that the information I have in hard-copy about the shia is far richer than what I have copied and pasted!!! You have challenged me, and I will post referenced examples on each allegation. |
CrownV12:nice one there!!! |
So from what al-Farooq Omar [ra] said, we learn: (1) There was no dispute as to the obligation to install a Caliph successding the Apostle of Allah [saw]. (2) The Khilafah must remain within Quraish "but this question (of Caliphate) is only for Quraish". The Ansaar [ra] did not accept it initially, but soon after they rushed to pledge the allegiance to a Qurashite, save Sa'd bin Ubadah [ra], he did not give his pledge. There are many Sahih Traditions testify to what Abu Bakr As-Siddiq [ra] said, reported in Sahih al-Bukhari: Narrated Ibn 'Umar: Allah's Apostle said, "This matter (khilafah) will remain with Quraish even if only two of them were still existing." Sahih al-Bukhari : Volume 9, Book 89, Number 254 Similar narrations are also quoted by Imam Muslim in his Sahih, and Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal in his al-Musnad. (3) No man shall become a Caliph but by Bay'ah (pledge of allegiance): "so I said, 'O Abu Bakr! Hold your hand out.' He held his hand out and I pledged allegiance to him, and then all the emigrants gave the Pledge of allegiance and so did the Ansar afterwards". Therefore, if the pledge was given, its fulfillment becomes obligatory. This is why he said: " we were afraid that if we left the people, they might give the Pledge of allegiance after us to one of their men, in which case we would have given them our consent for something against our real wish, or would have opposed them and caused a great trouble ". It was also reported that the Messenger of Allah [saw] said: Narrated AbuSa'id al-Khudri: The Messenger of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) said: When oath of allegiance has been taken for two caliphs, kill the one for whom the oath was taken later. Sahih Muslim : Book 19, Number 4568 The Messenger [saw] was also reported as saying: Narrated Arfajah: I have heard the Messenger of Allah (peace_be_upon_him) say: Different evils will make their appearance in the near future. Anyone who tries to disrupt the affairs of this Ummah while they are united you should strike him with the sword whoever he be. (If remonstrance does not prevail with him and he does not desist from his disruptive activities, he is to be killed). Sahih Muslim : Book 19, Number 4565 (4) If the fulfillment of the pledge is mandatory and obligatory, then there is no pledge without consulting the Muslims: " So if any person gives the Pledge of allegiance to somebody (to become a Caliph) without consulting the other Muslims, then the one he has selected should not be granted allegiance, lest both of them should be killed." This is due to the concept of "Shura" (consulting) in Islam which is the very fundamental of governing and is based on two pillars: Justice, 4:58 ...And when ye judge between people that ye judge with justice.. and Consultation: 42:38 ..[W]ho (conduct) their affairs by mutual consultation.. (5) That the Bay'ah to Abu Bakr [ra] took place so fast and sudden, and without prearrangement, due to his status: " there is none among you who has the qualities of Abu Bakr." and "for by Allah, I would rather have my neck chopped off as expiator for a sin than become the ruler of a nation, one of whose members is Abu Bakr ". Based on the said observations, the Jamhoor (majority) sat conditions to assume the Rightly Guided Khilafa: viz a viz to a man who is Just, from Quraish, by way of Bay'ah and Consultation. As to the Ansaar, never after this event, did history inform us of any attempt on their part to assume the Khilafah |
This, as Dr. Saloos wrote, indicates that the question of succession existed during the life of the Apostle of Allah [saw], but the dispute did not erupt until later on, after he [saw] moved to his final abode, which ended in the meeting, known as "Meeting of As-Saqeefah", with the election of Abu Bakr As-Sadiq [ra]. The second Caliph, Amirul-Mu'mineen Omar [ra] told us what took place in that meeting: Narrated Ibn 'Abbas: "I used to teach (the Qur'an to) some people of the Muhajirln (emigrants), among whom there was 'Abdur Rahman bin 'Auf. While I was in his house at Mina, and he was with 'Umar bin Al-Khattab during 'Umar's last Hajj, Abdur-Rahman came to me and said, "Would that you had seen the man who came today to the Chief of the Believers ('Umar), saying, 'O Chief of the Believers! What do you think about so-and-so who says, 'If 'Umar should die, I will give the pledge of allegiance to such-and-such person, as by Allah, the pledge of allegiance to Abu Bakr was nothing but a prompt sudden action which got established afterwards.' 'Umar became angry and then said, 'Allah willing, I will stand before the people tonight and warn them against those people who want to deprive the others of their rights (the question of rulership)." 'Abdur-Rahman said, "I said, 'O Chief of the believers! Do not do that, for the season of Hajj gathers the riff-raff and the rubble, and it will be they who will gather around you when you stand to address the people. And I am afraid that you will get up and say something, and some people will spread your statement and may not say what you have actually said and may not understand its meaning, and may interpret it incorrectly, so you should wait till you reach Medina, as it is the place of emigration and the place of Prophet's Traditions, and there you can come in touch with the learned and noble people, and tell them your ideas with confidence; and the learned people will understand your statement and put it in its proper place.' On that, 'Umar said, 'By Allah! Allah willing, I will do this in the first speech I will deliver before the people in Medina." Ibn Abbas added: We reached Medina by the end of the month of Dhul-Hijja, and when it was Friday, we went quickly (to the mosque) as soon as the sun had declined, and I saw Sa'id bin Zaid bin 'Amr bin Nufail sitting at the corner of the pulpit, and I too sat close to him so that my knee was touching his knee, and after a short while 'Umar bin Al-Khattab came out, and when I saw him coming towards us, I said to Said bin Zaid bin 'Amr bin Nufail "Today 'Umar will say such a thing as he has never said since he was chosen as Caliph." Said denied my statement with astonishment and said, "What thing do you expect 'Umar to say the like of which he has never said before?" In the meantime, 'Umar sat on the pulpit and when the callmakers for the prayer had finished their call, 'Umar stood up, and having glorified and praised Allah as He deserved, he said, "Now then, I am going to tell you something which (Allah) has written for me to say. I do not know; perhaps it portends my death, so whoever understands and remembers it, must narrate it to the others wherever his mount takes him, but if somebody is afraid that he does not understand it, then it is unlawful for him to tell lies about me. Allah sent Muhammad with the Truth and revealed the Holy Book to him, and among what Allah revealed, was the Verse of the Rajam (the stoning of married person (male & female) who commits illegal sexual intercourse, and we did recite this Verse and understood and memorized it. Allah's Apostle did carry out the punishment of stoning and so did we after him. I am afraid that after a long time has passed, somebody will say, 'By Allah, we do not find the Verse of the Rajam in Allah's Book,' and thus they will go astray by leaving an obligation which Allah has revealed. And the punishment of the Rajam is to be inflicted to any married person (male & female), who commits illegal sexual intercourse, if the required evidence is available or there is conception or confession. And then we used to recite among the Verses in Allah's Book: 'O people! Do not claim to be the offspring of other than your fathers, as it is disbelief (unthankfulness) on your part that you claim to be the offspring of other than your real father.' Then Allah's Apostle said, 'Do not praise me excessively as Jesus, son of Mary was praised, but call me Allah's Slave and His Apostles.' (O people!) I have been informed that a speaker amongst you says, 'By Allah, if 'Umar should die, I will give the pledge of allegiance to such-and-such person.' One should not deceive oneself by saying that the pledge of allegiance given to Abu Bakr was given suddenly and it was successful. No doubt, it was like that, but Allah saved (the people) from its evil, and there is none among you who has the qualities of Abu Bakr . Remember that whoever gives the pledge of allegiance to anybody among you without consulting the other Muslims, neither that person, nor the person to whom the pledge of allegiance was given, are to be supported, lest they both should be killed. And no doubt after the death of the Prophet we were informed that the Ansar disagreed with us and gathered in the shed of Bani Sa'da. 'Ali and Zubair and whoever was with them, opposed us, while the emigrants gathered with Abu Bakr. I said to Abu Bakr, 'Let's go to these Ansari brothers of ours.' So we set out seeking them, and when we approached them, two pious men of theirs met us and informed us of the final decision of the Ansar, and said, 'O group of Muhajirin (emigrants) ! Where are you going?' We replied, 'We are going to these Ansari brothers of ours.' They said to us, 'You shouldn't go near them. Carry out whatever we have already decided.' I said, 'By Allah, we will go to them.' And so we proceeded until we reached them at the shed of Bani Sa'da. Behold! There was a man sitting amongst them and wrapped in something. I asked, 'Who is that man?' They said, 'He is Sa'd bin 'Ubada.' I asked, 'What is wrong with him?' They said, 'He is sick.' After we sat for a while, the Ansar's speaker said, 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah,' and praising Allah as He deserved, he added, 'To proceed, we are Allah's Ansar (helpers) and the majority of the Muslim army, while you, the emigrants, are a small group and some people among you came with the intention of preventing us from practicing this matter (of caliphate) and depriving us of it.' When the speaker had finished, I intended to speak as I had prepared a speech which I liked and which I wanted to deliver in the presence of Abu Bakr, and I used to avoid provoking him. So, when I wanted to speak, Abu Bakr said, 'Wait a while.' I disliked to make him angry. So Abu Bakr himself gave a speech, and he was wiser and more patient than I. By Allah, he never missed a sentence that I liked in my own prepared speech, but he said the like of it or better than it spontaneously. After a pause he said, 'O Ansar! You deserve all (the qualities that you have attributed to yourselves, but this question (of Caliphate) is only for the Quraish as they are the best of the Arabs as regards descent and home, and I am pleased to suggest that you choose either of these two men, so take the oath of allegiance to either of them as you wish. And then Abu Bakr held my hand and Abu Ubada bin Abdullah's hand who was sitting amongst us. I hated nothing of what he had said except that proposal, for by Allah, I would rather have my neck chopped off as expiator for a sin than become the ruler of a nation, one of whose members is Abu Bakr , unless at the time of my death my own-self suggests something I don't feel at present.' And then one of the Ansar said, 'I am the pillar on which the camel with a skin disease (eczema) rubs itself to satisfy the itching (i.e., I am a noble), and I am as a high class palm tree! O Quraish. There should be one ruler from us and one from you.' Then there was a hue and cry among the gathering and their voices rose so that I was afraid there might be great disagreement, so I said, 'O Abu Bakr! Hold your hand out.' He held his hand out and I pledged allegiance to him, and then all the emigrants gave the Pledge of allegiance and so did the Ansar afterwards . And so we became victorious over Sa'd bin Ubada (whom Al-Ansar wanted to make a ruler). One of the Ansar said, 'You have killed Sa'd bin Ubada.' I replied, 'Allah has killed Sa'd bin Ubada.' Umar added, "By Allah, apart from the great tragedy that had happened to us (i.e. the death of the Prophet), there was no greater problem than the allegiance pledged to Abu Bakr because we were afraid that if we left the people, they might give the Pledge of allegiance after us to one of their men, in which case we would have given them our consent for something against our real wish, or would have opposed them and caused great trouble . So if any person gives the Pledge of allegiance to somebody (to become a Caliph) without consulting the other Muslims, then the one he has selected should not be granted allegiance, lest both of them should be killed. ....continued Did the Companions ever think as to who will succeesd the Apostle of Allah for their leadership, especially during his last illness? There are, indeed, few narrations with authentic link of transmittors, that indicate there was such a thinking. Among these Ahadith is that of Ibn Abbas [ra]: Narrated 'Abdullah bin Abbas: Ali bin Abi Talib came out of the house of Allah's Apostle during his fatal illness. The people asked, "O Abul Hasan (i.e. Ali)! How is the health of Allah's Apostle this morning?" 'Ali replied, "He has recovered with the Grace of Allah." al'Abbas bin 'Abdul Muttalib held him by the hand and said to him, "In three days you, by Allah, will be ruled (by somebody else ), And by Allah, I feel that Allah's Apostle will die from this ailment of his, for I know how the faces of the offspring of 'Abdul Muttalib look at the time of their death. So let us go to Allah's Apostle and ask him who will take over the Caliphate. If it is given to us we will know as to it, and if it is given to somebody else, we will inform him so that he may tell the new ruler to take care of us." 'Ali said, "By Allah, if we asked Allah's Apostle for it (i.e. the Caliphate) and he denied it us, the people will never give it to us after that. And by Allah, I will not ask Allah's Apostle for it." Sahih al-Bukhari , Volume 5, Book 59, Number 728; Musnad al-Imam Ahmad vol.4, Narration 2374 & vol.5, Narration 229 There is another Hadith attributed to Ali [ra] with a good Isnaad (link of transmittors) saying: "It was said: O Apostle of Allah, Who should be installed as a leader after you? He said: If you install Abu Bakr, you will find him honest, ascetic in this life and desirious of the Hereafter. If you install Omar, you will find him strong, honest, fearing in Allah no one's blame. If you install Ali, and I don't think you will, you will find him guided, guiding you to the straight path." Firstly, whoever wants to have a good read on the topic should get ibnul Arabiyy's (NOT Ibn arabiyy the Sufi deviant) book; al-'awaasim minal qawaasim, Ibn Katheer's bidaayah wa nihaayah and Soheehul Bukharee. Secondly; Due to my laziness or tight schedule, I am not able to type, instead I have sourced for good article(s) on the topic from the internet. I pray that Allah makes it beneficial to the OP and everyone who reads and comments objectively. Now to the discussion; How do Muslims and Shi'ites differ in understanding the concept of Imamah? Let us initially define the term Imamah: In Arabic, an Imam is a person whom others follow, be it who leads the prayer, who heads a group or even the Caliph. The Holy Qur'an, for instance, is the Imam of Muslims, and so is the Apostle of Allah [saw]. He is the Imam of all the Imams. Furthermore, the title Imam can be used for one who is an expert of a certain field. To illustrate, it is said that al-Bukhari is an Imam of Hadith, Malik, Abu Hanifah, al-Shafi'i, Ibn Hanbal are Imams in Islamic Jurisprudence, and so on. Imam may also mean a "role model" as used by Allah [swt]: 2:124. And remember that Abraham was tried by his Lord with certain commands, which he fulfilled: He said: I will make thee an Imam to the people. He pleaded: and also (imams) from my offspring! He answered: But my Promise is not within the reach of evil-doers. i.e., I am making you a role model that others follow. Another example is His saying [swt]: 21:73. And we made them Imams (leaders) guiding (men) by Our Command. Also as in 9:12. But if they violate their oaths after their covenant, and attack your faith, fight ye the Imams (chiefs) of Unfaith: for their oaths are nothing to them... Also as in 28:41. And We made them (firaun and followers) but Imams (leaders) inviting to the Fire... From the above definitions, we can understand the reason why the Khalifah is called an Imam too. Imam Abu Zahra [rahimahullah] explained: "It was called Khilafah (succession) because whoever assumes it, and is the Grand Governor of the Muslims, is actually succeeding the Apostle [saw] in managing the affairs of the Muslims. It is also called al-Imamah, because the Khalifah used to be called Imam, and because his obediance is compulsory and the people follow him as they follow the one who leads the prayer" 'Aqeedat al-Imamah : Ali Ahmad As-Saloos, PhD, p.9 |

What are the fundamentals of Shi'asm? Shi'asm is a mixture of Zoroastrianism, Hinduism, ancient paganism, Judaism, Christianity and Islam, wrapped by Islamic terminologies. The reader, throughout the site, will discover how such dogmas infiltrated to, and became an inseparable part of, this new religion known as "Shi'asm". The very basics of Shi'asm, which the Ithna Ashari (twelver Imam) Shi'ites believe in, and is shared by many other esoteric Shi'a sects, are: 1. Imamah: "We believe that al-Imamah is one of the very basic pillars of the religion whereby faith is incomplete unless it is a part thereof" 'Aqaa'id al-Imamiyyah : Muhammad Rida al-Muzaffar, chapter 3, p.89 It is their consensus therefore, that who does not believe in it is not a "believer". al-Hilly, one of the foremost known and respected Shi'a scholar, believed that denial of al-Imamah is far worse than denying the Prophethood. He wrote: " al-Imamah is a general subtle (from Allah) and Prophethood is a special subtle, due to the existing possibility of having a period of time void of a living prophet unlike the Imam.....hence, the denial of the general subtle is far more evil than denial of the special subtle" al-Naafi' Yawmal-Hashr : Jamaalud-Din al-Suyuri, p.42. From: 'Aqeedat al-Imamah: Ali Ahmad As-Saloos, PhD, p.28 And to show the status of he whom denies the Shi'ites' concept of al-Imamah, the 6th Imam, Abu Abdallah is quoted as saying: "The Nasibi (Sunni) is worse than the Jew. It was said: And how is that so, O son of the Apostle of Allah? He said: The Jew denied the subtle of Prophethood, which is a special subtle, while the Nasibi denied the subtle of al-Imamah, which is a general (subtle)" ibid 2. Distortion of Qur'an: That the current version of the Qur'an has been corrupted, distorted and tampered with by the Companions of the Messenger of Allah [saw]. Please review previous posts for references 3. Second Return: Every and all Shi'ites believe in the concept of 2nd Return, be it the Messenger [saw], their 12 Imams, the enemies of their Imams (all AhluSunnah) for the purpose of revenge from those who "wronged" them, but most specifically: Abu Bakr, Omar, Yazeed, and Banu Ummayyah in general, in order to put them to sword. 4. Grave worshipping : The Shi'a indiscriminately are grave worshippers and have gone to extremes in exaggerating the virtues of worshipping their Imams' graves as we shall discover. |

Wake up my muslim brothers and sisters in Islam.. Polytheism (shirk) is a belief in and worship of invoking of other deity(s) besides Allah. Islam considers shirk illogical and totally unacceptable when referring to deity. This is because Allah created us, provides for us and directs our affairs without any assistance from any being. Therefore, natural justice unarguably demands that we give Him His right without sharing it with anyone else. The worst thing is many muslims believe that ALLAH (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى)'s creations like prophets عَلَيْهِ السَّلاَم , saints, imaams, scholars n etc. can do harm and benefit to them naudubillah and they invoke them to help beside ALLAH (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) nadubillah summa naudubillah ... So ALLAH (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) says to His messenger صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ in Qur,an, sur'ah Jinn: (20,21,22 and 23). Say (O Muhammad صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ): "I invoke only my Lord (ALLAH (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) Alone), and I associate none as partners along with Him." Say: "It is not in my power to cause you harm, or to bring you to the Right Path." Say (O Muhammad صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ): "None can protect me from ALLAH (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى)'s punishment (if I were to disobey Him), nor should I find refuge except in Him. "(Mine is) but conveyance (of the truth) from ALLAH (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) and His Messages (of Islamic Monotheism), and whosoever disobeys ALLAH (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) and His Messenger, then verily, for him is the Fire of Hell, he shall dwell therein forever." Within Islam, shirk is an unforgivable crime if the culprit dies without repenting from it. ALLAH (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) may forgive any sin if one dies in that state except for committing shirk... Wake up my muslim brothers and sisters to invoke help to others beside ALLAH (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى).. Do not be like the shia who worship graves of their Imams and even believe that a visit to the grave in karbala is better than a thousand hajj!!! May ALLAH (سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالَى) guide us to the right path n make us to invoke alone to Him n protect us from shirk n bid'ah ... Allah Humma Aameen |
Our shaykh, Ibn Sulaiman Najmuddien (HafizahuLLAAH), wrote: Power is trust and whosoever holds it among us as teachers, imaams husbands, wives, community leaders etc should know that we're answerable to ALMIGHTY! The only way out is to know that people are family of THE ALMIGHTY to whom we must show justice and fairplay! In Sunan at-Tirmidhi it is narrated that 'Aa'ishah said: "A man came and sat in front of the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam), and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I have two slaves who tell me lies, betray and disobey me, and I insult them and beat them. What is my position with regard to them?” The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam) said: 'On the Day of Resurrection, their betrayal, disobedience and lying will be measured against your punishment of them. If your punishment is commensurate with their wrongs, then there will be no score to settle. If your punishment of them was less than their sins deserved, then this will count in your favour. If your punishment of them was more than their sins deserved, then the score will be settled against you.' The man turned away and started to weep. The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam) said to him, 'Have you not read the words of Allah?' - “And We shall set up Balances of justice on the Day of Resurrection, then none will be dealt with unjustly in anything. And if there be the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it. And Sufficient are We to take account.” (Qur'an 21: 47).’” [Mishkaat al-Masaabeeh, 3/66, hadith no. 5561. It is also narrated in Saheeh al-Jaami`, 6/327, hadith no. 7895, where it attributed to Ahmad and Tirmidhi.] |
JazaakumuLLaahu khayraa for the beneficial reminder. baarakallaahu feeh I just have an observation, the recommended solution (that I know) for anger in the sunnah is to say 'audhu biLLaahi mina shaytaani rajeem ' it's in soheeh Bukharee I am not sure if there is any evidence for performing wudu to ward off anger. |
DON'T LET THEM DECEIVE YOU WITH THEIR FALSE METHODOLOGIES! Gathered by: Abu Mardiy Kewdirôrun At-thaqoofiy Praise be to Allaah and blessings of Allaah be upon His Messenger and Chosen Prophet. Today, there are new tricks, new methods of leading the people astray. In the past, one could not get Ahlul-Bid'ah (Innovators) confused with Ahlus-Sunnah they were distinguished. Yet their evil was lighter than it is today, and it was relative. But in our time, the people of bid'ah have been able with their plotting and planning and strategies to enter into the ranks of Ahlus-Sunnah. Rather, they have been able to get right into the center of them and be amongst them, mixed with them. And this had a great and evil effect, especially upon the youth, those who have been taught some things. In particular, the youth in the universities and even the houses and markets. And this is because Ahlul-Bid'ah were able to present themselves as Ahlus-Sunnah and mix with the people of the Sunnah, and not be distinguished, and therefore they were able to relay and convey their poison. They came with new methods and methodologies and principles; all these methods and principles were to make the Haqq (truth) look like the baatil (false), and to make baatil look like the haqq. It's all Talbees (deception) deception was used to humiliate, put down and eradicate the truth, and to destroy the people of the truth and to raise the position of the people of ahwaa` (desires). So they came up with principles by way of their strategies and plans. One of them is Muwaazinaat (balancing). It's a manner of praising people of bid'ah, and saying, "whenever we mention something bad about them, we have to mention their good, because that's the only thing that is just." Some of them even applied this principle to Shaytaan and the Jews and (others). An example would be like saying, "yes, he hates the people of the Sunnah, but Maa Shaa` Allaah Akhee, if you heard his Qir`aa (recitation of the Qur’aan) and you saw his Qiyaam (standing in the Salah). "So by saying this, they (deceive the people concerning the evil of bid'ah, and the evil of that person of bid'ah). This type of muwaazinaat, they call it JUSTICE but it is in reality DEFENSE of Ahlul-Bid'ah. And it is a way of knocking down Jarhu wa Ta'deel, which is Naseehah (sincere advice). And the Naseehah is the way of Islaam, the way of the people of the Sunnah. Ahlus-Sunnah's way of Naseehah is to help the Muslims, and protect them from falsehood, and going astray from those who are astray and trying to lead them astray, but all that goes out the window when you start praising the (evildoers). May Almighty Allaah show us the truth and help us to follow it and show us falsehood and help us to avoid it. |

Many people read arguments between the deviant shia and the people of sunnah, but I observed that the issues usually argued are not the major causes of the disparity between these two religions. Issues like mut'ah, wiping the feet instead of washing during ablution etc are the commonly argued matters (here on nairaland) , but the deviations and misguidances of the shia (aka rafidhah) are far greater than these. In fact, they are issues of creed and belief, just as the primary difference between a Muslim and Christian or Jew are the beliefs and creed not merely actions. In the light of this, I have decided to share some of the uncountable deviations of the shia religion from the orthodox and Pristine Islamic creed and belief. These are not mere claims rather, they are fully referenced! I hope that Allah makes it a means to save my brothers and sisters from the misfortune of being a shite and also make it a cause of repentance for the deviants. I also ask Him to accept it as an act of worship from me. He is indeed All-Hearing Oft-Forgiving. What is the aqeedah of shias ? "Allaah often lies and does mistakes . " ( USOOL -E- KAAFI, page #328, yaqoob kulaini , vol 1) . "Allah has the Quality of ' Badaa ' . " ( Usul Kafi- Babul bad 'aa - Al - Kafi Vol- 1 -P283 India Ed . ) "We ( shias) do not worship such a God who gives authority to rascals like Yazid, Mu'awiyyah and Uthmaan . " ( Kashful Asraar - 107 - Khomeni. . ) "The Imams posses all the knowledge granted to angels , prophets and messengers. " ( Al- Kulaini . AL- KAAFI , p . 255 ) "The Imams know when they will die, and they do not die except by their choice . " ( Al - Kulaini. AL- KAAFI, p . 258) "The Imaams have knowledge of whatever occurred in the past and whatever will happen in the future, and nothing is concealed from them . " ( Al- Kulaini . AL- KAAFI, p . 260) "The Imams have knowledge of all the revealed books , regardless of the languages in which they were revealed. " ( Al - Kulaini. AL- KAAFI, p . 260) "No one complied the Qur'ân completely except the Imams, and they encompass all of its knowledge. " ( Al - Kulaini. AL- KAAFI, p . 227 ) |
The implication of your statement is that Allah was ignorant about the future when He praised the Companions of the messenger alyhissolaat wassalaam. Actually it's in your books, you Shia also accuse Allah of ignorance and recklessness! "Allaah often lies and does mistakes . " ( USOOL -E- KAAFI, page #328, yaqoob kulaini , vol 1) . So, what other evil could you utter to make me surprised?! |
