sino: Before anything, provide the narration that states that mut’ah was forbidden at khaybar till day of qiyammat in Arabic. Then I’ll take your comment seriously, and provide the reference too.
Permit me to refresh your memory for I had posted it earlier, the list of sahabas who confronted Ibn Abbas (ra), who believed that mut’ah was permissible, compere with the reported silence of the sahabas when Umar (ra) passed a verdict prohibiting it. These are the Sahih narrations about Ibn Abbas permitting mut'ah:
Ibn ‘Abbas was asked regarding temporary marriage with women so he allowed it. On this one of his slaves said, “It is only in harsh condition, when there is lack of women?” or something of that sort. So Ibn ‘Abbas said, “Yes.” (Sahih Bukhari)
In a tradition from As-Sunan Al-Kabeer (14166) by Al-Bayhaqi Ibn ‘Abbas (ra) responded to the criticism of Sa’eed bin Jubair on his view on Mut’ah by saying, “I did not intend that, neither did I give such ruling regarding Mut’ah. Mut’ah is not permitted except in case of necessity. Indeed it is like the dead meat, blood and the flesh of swine.”
What we gather from the above hadith is that, Ibn Abbas thought Mut'ah to be permissible like eating pork due to necessity, this alone defits any other argument to say that Mut'ah is still permissible, for we know that the ruling on pork meat is Haram! Asliyan!
But did other sahabas agree with him?! we read further that some sahabas questioned his judgement amongst them were...
Al-Hasan bin Muhammad bin ‘Ali and his brother Abdullah bin Ali both narrate from their father [i.e. Ibn al-Hanafiyyah] that ‘Ali said to Ibn ‘Abbas, “The Prophet (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) forbade from Mut’ah and the eating of domestic donkey’s flesh during the time of Khaybar.”
In Sahih Muslim it is like this:
‘Ali heard of Ibn ‘Abbas being lenient regarding Temporary marriage so he said to him, “Wait O Ibn ‘Abbas! Indeed the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam) forbade it during Khaibar and from the meat of domestic donkeys.”
In another version of Sahih Muslim he said to Ibn ‘Abbas, “You are a person who has been led astray…”
2. Abdullah bin Zubair (ra)
Abdullah bin Zubair stood up in Makkah and said referring to a person, “Allah has made some people hearts blind as they as He has made their eyes blind; they issue verdict in favor of Mut’ah.” So that person called him and said, “You are uncouth and lacking in manners. By Allah, Mut’ah was practiced during the time of the leader of the pious i.e. the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam).” Ibn az-Zubair said to him, “Then do it by yourself. By Allah if you do that I will stone you with your own stones.”
3. Ibn Abi ‘Amrah al-Ansari objected to Ibn ‘Abbas on his view on Mut’ah. Hence, Abdur-Razzaq reports in “Al-Musannaf” (14033) through Az-Zuhri from Khalid bin Muhajir:
Ibn ‘Abbas permitted Mut’ah so Ibn Abi ‘Amrah said to him, “What is this O Ibn ‘Abbas?” He said, “I did it during the time of the leader of pious.” Ibn Abi ‘Amrah said, “May Allah forgive. Indeed Mut’ah was an exemption like in the case when the dead meat, blood or the flesh of swine is necessary. Then Allah completed his religion after that.”
4. ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar also raised his voice against Ibn ‘Abbas regarding Mut’ah. Abdur-Razzaq (14035) reports:
Saalim said: It was said to Ibn ‘Umar that Ibn ‘Abbas permits Mut’ah with women. He said, “I do not think Ibn ‘Abbas says that.” They said, “Indeed, by Allah he says that.” So he said, “By Allah, he would not say such a thing during the lifetime of ‘Umar. Indeed ‘Umar would punish you on such things. And I do not think of it except as adultery.” – This narration is present in Sahih Muslim but without mentioning Ibn ‘Abbas.
Again, no one brought Qur’an 4:24 as a proof for it, not even Ibn Abbas (ra) nor did anyone bring Qur'an 5:87.
And to your continuous mention of Makkan jurist, here is what one of them was reported to have said:
Ibn Jurayj a Makkan Jurist died AH 150 was reported thus...
Ibn Hajar al-`Asqalani (rah) reports regarding ibn Jurayj’s (rah) opinion of Mut`ah: “Abu `Awanah narrated in his Sahih from ibn Jurayj that he said to them in Basarah: “Bear witness that I have retracted my Fatwa.” After he narrated to them eighteen narrations that there was no harm in it.”
source: al-Talkhees al-Habeer 3/160, Musnad abi `Awanah 3/31 #4087.
If you want to claim that your scholars that permitted you all to say mut'ah is halal, and that these majority of sahabas including Ali (ra) were all misguided by affirming the Prophets prohibition, then who do you guys follow? and what religion do you practice? Abu Ubayd alQasim bn salaam said; I lived with people, and spoke to ahlul kalam (philosophers) and I have never met any dirtier or filthier, or weaker in evidence or more mentally retarded like the rafidhah (shia) . tarikh Ibn Ma'een 2/31 |

mut'ah is prostitution and the highest point you can get from a Sunni scholar is just basic permissibility which is even a wrong stand.
But the rawafidh (shia) scholars fabricated narrations to encourage mut'ah such that you feel your eeman is not complete without it.
Then, if some scholars differ in its prohibition then that should not be leverage for the filthy rawafidh because even alcohol prohibition is debated among the past scholars, does that in any way affect the prohibition.
Some scholars had the view that only alcohol made from dates is prohibited! Does that mean that you should start drinking gulder etc and think you have evidence or proof?!
That's why Allah gave us intellect, if it's consensus you want before establishing a rule, then you will misguide yourself and others.
Lastly, Allah has blessed this ummah with some set of scholars known as muhaqqiqoon (scrutinizers). AlhamduliLlah, every field of islamic knowledge has its own.
In aqeedah: scholars like imam Malik, imam Ahmad, shafee Ibn taymiyyah and ibnul Qoyyim, imam Abdul wahhaab, Ibn Baaz etc in fiqh: the four imams, Ibn taymiyyah, ibnul Qoyyim, Ibn Quddamah ibn Uthymeen etc in hadith: imam Ahmad, Bukharee, Muslim Ibn hajar, Ahmad Shaakir, Imam Albany etc
in history; ibn hishaam, ibn Katheer, Imam Tabariyy imam AbdulWahhaab, imam suyootee, imam dhahabee etc
in Nahw; Imam khaleel Ahmad alfaraaeediyy, imam Ibn Malik, sibawayh, sahlawayh, Al akhfash etc
in tajweed and qiraat; ibnul Jazariyy, jamzuriyy, imam daanee etc
So, it's the muhaqqiqoon of each field that should be quoted and sought when trying to sort issues in the Deen. and there opinion should be given preference.
Please brothers and sisters avoid arguments with innovators and people of desire. |

ShiaMuslim: Mr Olai, how can you call something that at a point in time was permitted by the Prophet "evil"? From all account, Sunnis agree that mut'ah was at a point in time-during the lifetime of the holy Prophet-permissible and also practiced by the sahabah.
The Shia differ in that they insist mut'ah was never made forbidden later on by the Prophet (s), but it was prohibited by the second Sunni caliph Umar and see that prohibition as bid'ah.
That is the point of contention: whether it ceased to be permissible or not.
Aside, it can be described as a "discontinued Sunnah" at worst, and was practiced during the lifetime of the Prophet by the sahabah. Your Hadith books record sahabah who were born out of mut'ah. How can you then refer to it as evil? Mut'ah marriage carry all the conditions of permanent Islamic marriage, and the only exception being that it is with a limited timeframe/expiration. Also, a virgin or a dependent female cannot practice it on her own without the consent of her male family guardian. Likewise in permanent marriage, a dependent must seek permission of her male guardian.
As for the article, I stopped reading where it is stated that a child born out of mut'ah cannot inherit from his father. I also wanted to stop before that where I read that mut'ah is about a man paying a woman to satisfy desires. These are fabrications and lies just to discredit the Shia for holding on to a Sunnah and rejecting a bid'ah by Umar and nothing more. Mut'ah is a remedy to pro$titution and widows and divorcees.
Since you refer to it as "one of the evils Shia people are spreading on the land", can you tell us more about "the evils Sunni people are spreading in the land?" Have you heard of MISYAR pro$titution? At least mut'ah is Sunnah and supported in the Quran in verse 4:24. But misyar practiced in Saudi is not. What of JIHADUN NIKAH (Sunni girls ganged ra.ped by Sunni fighters as their contribution to "jihad" ) practiced in Syria by Sunni terrorists? Is that not evil? What of adult brea$feeding? Is that good and Islamic to you?
You guys should stop your filthy ignorance against the Shia. This hate of yours will not stop the Shia ideology and the teachings of the Ahlul Bayt, which is nothing but pure Islam in accordance with the Holy Quran and the Sunnah. You cannot fight a faith or beliefs which live in people's minds and hearts with lies and intimidation. It wouldn't work. It will only depict you as filthy or a foul ignoramus. And by Allah, these false accusations and propaganda will only harm Islam in general and all of us as Muslims in eyes of non Muslims. Even in the bible mut'ah is there. It can be compared to concubinage which prophets of Allah are recorded to have practiced, e.g. Prophet Solomon (as).
May Allah guide us all. Your first point that mut'ah was permitted before and...... Mut'ah (contract marriage) is one of the many types of jaahiliyah (days of ignorance) marriages. When Islam came, it would be unwise to mention all the prohibited matters at once because this would push the people away and make them fed-up. Therefore the commandments and prohibitions came in stages. The stages of alcohol prohibition is not unknown to us all. However, it is not a condition for prohibitions to always come in stages as is the case of alcohol. It could come at once, so far it's the right time and Allah knows that the Ummah is spiritually upright enough to assimilate it. So Islam only left them to continue with this act of mut'ah because they were too new to Islam and there were more fundamental matters to address at the moment. It is not as you claim that it was a sunnah and recommended act. For Allah's sake mut'ah is prostitution, there's no better way to describe it than that. You meet a woman, ask for her hand in marriage for a time period eg one or two days, months, years etc then after that you break up and nothing else. And of course the woman gets a dowry for that mut'ah, just like the prostitute gets paid by her clients. Then, the shia sheikhs shamelessly fabricated narrations to encourage mut'ah such as whoever does one mut'ah gets the reward of fasting for so years, if you do two you get reward for maybe a lifetime of jihad, and whoever doesn't do mut'ah then he's religion is crooked or something like that and even greater. Misyar, is not the same as mut'ah and they are not even similar, the gang rape and others are clear misguidance so that is not a justification. |

enieme: Well, there's difference of opinion and one can choose to follow whichever school of thought one wishes to on diff issues My sister, it's not right to follow the one you 'wish' when there is difference of opinion among the scholars, rather the Muslim should look into the argument of the parties involved and follow the one that appears most correct. This selection should be based on knowledge and conviction not on whims and desires. This is the greatest use you can put your intellect to i.e to ponder and comprehend what your Lord really wants you to do. This is because not every scholar that makes a scholastic striving is correct, sometimes a scholar is right and other is wrong, sometimes he is wrong and another is right. This is the problem that the two reformers Imam Albany and - before him - Ibn Taymiyyah had with the scholars of their time. They warned the people against holding on to the opinion of their Imaams even when they were sure that it contradicted the Quran and sunnah according to the interpretation of the righteous predecessors i.e salaf. |
Islam › Re: *for Married Folks: Sexual Acts And Their Permissibility In Islam by Newnas(m): 12:14pm On Mar 13, 2016 |
ShiaMuslim: Mut'ah is not a pre-Islamic Jahiliyyah practice as you claimed. what would happen to verse 4:24? you cannot therefore compare Mut'ah to a Jahiliyyah practice like alcohol consumption. in the Holy Quran Allah (swt) first revealed in verse 2:219 that in alcohol is greater harm than good. then in verse 4:43 it was revealed not to approach prayer in a state of drunkenness. Then in verse 5:90 it was revealed that alcohol is an abomination and the work of shaitan, so avoid it.
no where in the Holy Quran after the revelation of verse 4:24 was Mut'ah gradually discouraged. you may provide us with a verse, like in the case of alcohol, where Mut'ah was forbidden. you cannot!
secondly, there were sahaba born out of Mut'ah and there are records in Sunni Sihah books that it was practiced after the death of the Prophet (s) by Sahaba revered highly by Sunnis, and the idea of it being prohibited came during the time of the second Sunni caliph Umar Ibn al-Khattab.
the Shia sheikhs could not have "fabricated" hadiths in highly revered Sunni books such as Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim even though there are numerous Shia narrators accepted as trustworthy in the Sihah hadith of the Sunnis. and yet, many hadiths did not find their way into Bukhari and Muslims because hadiths in Bukhari and Muslim were cherry picked to conform to certain ways, beliefs and concepts held by the authorities of the time.
clearly, Mut'ah marriage is a subject of dispute between the Sunnis and Shia. again, you come to my point that the contention is whether or not Mut'ah was forbidden by the Prophet (s) in the long run or whether he never forbade it. it is wrong to call it "evil" when it is authorized in the Quran and there is no verse prohibiting or abrogating it in the Quran. the Quran takes precedence over hadiths. the hadiths cannot abrogate the Quran if the Quran does not abrogate itself. in fact, we do not even believe in abrogation. what is in the Quran is valid for all times.
it is true you cannot compare Misyar and Mut'ah. it did not even exist in the time of Jahiliyyah, nor was it practiced at the time of the Prophet (s). Misyar has no place in the Quran and Sunnah. complete bid'ah and can rightly be called pro$titution.
you are clutching at straws and trying hard to make a response. the facts are there regardless of the adjectives you use to label a Sunnah of the Prophet (s). arguing with you guys is a waste of time. |

How can you call something that brings about creation filth.
There is a problem with people lifting articles off the Internet. There is a lot of wrong info all around. You need to learn from true scholars and stop spreading falsehood.
I hope tbaba1234 is still on this forum.
and do we have moderators? this shia-sunni nonsense is an unnecessary distraction. @enieme The early scholars were divided regarding the purity of semen, I mean the real semen that brings children Those who claimed that it's impure said it comes from the tract of urine which is impure therefore it is also impure. The other party say that it's the source of human life and if our source is impure then we are all impure. But all these are analogies, a number of narrations reported from Aishah may Allah be pleased with Her and Her father show that it's pure, in some she said that she would scrape the dried semen from the garments of Allah's messenger alyhissolaat wassalaam and he would pray in it. If semen were impure he alyhissolaat wassalaam wouldn't have left it to dry on his clothes. (Pls see bulughul maram and/or Al Wajeez for more details, I'm not in my library so I can't reference with details ) However, the pre semen is impure, and AbduLLah bn Abbaas commanded a man to sprinkle water on where ever it touches on the garment. And that is what he commanded Aliyy rodiyaLLaahu anhu. The semen (which is pure) and pre semen (which is impure) could get into the throat during oral exercise, hence the restriction of swallowing any fluid because you might be swallowing impure fluid unknowingly. As for the female genital fluid, I mean the fluid that is always present in the female tract, then it's pure because no evidence has mentioned it's impurity and the basis regarding all substances including body fluids is purity, anyone who claims that a substance is impure must provide evidence. So don't ask why mucus or saliva are pure. If we know that female genital fluid is not impure then we know that it should not be an impediment to oral intercourse. As for female discharge during orgasm, then it takes the same rule as the male. Allah knows best. |

The Arabic word used in the verse annaa shi'tum, annaa is used to refer to kayf i.e 'how' so it means approach them in anyway you like. kiss anywhere, touch anywhere, do anything... there is no limit when Allah has permitted a thing except if Allah makes an exemption or if the medical profession shows that it's harmful. An exemption by Allah is menstrual and anal intercourse. A medical exemption could be having intercourse with your wife who just finished a surgery in her groin region. Even in both cases it's permissible to still enjoy other parts of her except the real intercourse. This matter is very clear to me, if you say it's impermissible then you are either accusing Allah of ignorance by telling Him what He should have exempted, or accusing of forgetfulness by telling Him what He should have done but forgot. These are the dangerous implications of this issue. Prophet Musa alyhissolaat wassalaam told fir'aun (.... the knowledge is with my Lord, my Lord neither strays nor forgets) Surah taha. So, Allah knew that this oral intercourse would still come to be, if it were evil He would have prohibited it. |

Saifullah01: Arguing with the Shia's is tantamount to looking for a pin in the darkness. They are Always looking for technicalities to cause 'shubha' (doubts) among believers.
Imagine one of the reason adduced by them above to exclude the wives of the prophet (AS) from his household as being the pronoun used (Kum) is masculine! Every amatuer student of Arabic knows that while feminine pronouns are exclusive to the feminine gender, the masculine pronouns are not, and are used generally to address groups of individual comprising of both males and females (as it is in the case of the prophets household AS).
The Shia's ideology of condemning the wives of the prophet is similar to the ideology of the khawarij of old, where sin is absolute and condemns a person. Thus to them if a person steal he is condemned to hell! This ideology is contrary to the teachings of the Quran where repentance not only expiate your sins but grants you double rewards, Allah says in the Quran “Except him who repents and believes and does a good deed so these are they of whom Allah changes the evil deeds to good ones and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful” (q25v70)
So for the sake of argument let's assume some of the sahabas and the wives of the prophet are guilty of what the Shia's accuse them of (May Allah forgive and guide us) can the Shia's with certainty claim they didn't repent and ask Allah's forgiveness, and if they did were they forgiven? My advice for my brothers is rather than waste our energy condemning our noble predecessors lets instead do what the Quran advices us; mind our business and pray for forgiveness for them.
“And those who come after them say: Our Lord! forgive us and those of our brethren who had precedence of us in faith, and donot allow any spite to remain in our hearts towards those who believe our Lord! surely Thou art Kind, Merciful.” (Q59v10)
“This is a people that have passed away; they shall have what they earned and you shall have what you earn, and you shall not be called upon to answer for what they did” (q2v141)
Finally, for every interpretation or understanding we claim to derive from the Quran we must ask ourselves some pertinent questions; 1. Do I have any predecessor among the sahabas who understood this verse the way I did. 2. How did the companions of the prophet understood the particular verse 3. How did scholars of the second and third generation after the prophet understood the verse
It would be the height of injustice to knowledge to feign a particular understanding of which neither the prophet (AS) not his sahabas nor the second and third rightly guided generation after them are a party of. JazaakumuLLaahu khayraa, in shaa Allah I won't respond to whatever crap the deviant says again. Imam Ahmad mentioned in his Usoolu Sunnah that staying away from arguments with the people of desires(innovators) is part of the fundamentals of the sunnah, so Also did Imam barbahariyy in his sharh sunnah rahimahumaLLaah. I was only afraid that some ignorant people would be deceived by his charisma. On another note, a number of scholars have mentioned the impermissibility or at least dislike of abbreviating salam upon the messenger alyhissolaat wassalaam. please see sharh zimzimiyy by Sheikh AbdulKareem khudhayr and I think I saw something like that in Sheikh Ahmad Shaakir's Ba'ethul atheeth. rohimahumuLLaah. May Allah increase us all in beneficial knowledge and steadfastness upon the sunnah and understanding of the righteous predecessors. |

presently, I'm in exam period and as a result I won't be able to respond Now.
But in shaa Allah once I finish my exams, all these distortions and viruses that you have mentioned will be clarified.
I would have responded now but its better to respond with solid responses especially the references and that will need a clear mind.
However, what I will say for now is that the aqeedah of the imams of sunnah including Ali, Fatimah and their offsprings is that Allah is pleased with all the companions of Muhammad alyhissolaat wassalaam and that includes Aisha, Hafsoh, Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Abu Hurayrah and all the other companions (both ansaar and muhaajiroon). And this is what the Quran and Sunnah has stated.
I'll also mention that you have been very skillful in your taqiyyah! you -rightly- called Aishah ummul mu'mineen (mother of the believers), I know you only said this out of taqiyyah and you don't believe this because to the shia anyone who doesn't believe Aisha is in hell then such a person is a disbeliever.
Allah called her rodiyaLLaahu anhuma and other other wives mothers of the believers, I don't think you know the implication of such title! This motherhood also encompasses Ali bn Abi tolib except if you will say he is not a believer!
The verses of tahrim only show that Aishah and Hafsoh are not infallible, only a deviant will interpret it to mean that they are misguided and deviants. If not Allah wouldn't have given them such great title of Ummul mu'mineen because it would mean giving the believers an evil mother and model, audhubiLLah.
Then we don't deny the fact the virtues of Ali, unlike the shia whose religion is nothing but Ali, Fatimoh and their offsprings! rather we affirm virtue for all the companions as the Quran and sunnah has stated and I am sure you are not ignorant of the texts regarding this.
In fact, If not because of the fear of the ignorant generality falling into your misguidance, I don't see any wisdom in debating a person who curses Abu Bakr and Umar and calls Abu Hurayrah a liar!
This is just a tip of the iceberg, once I finish my exams just know you are in serious soup! |

AlBaqir: # As expected. You were corrected on the right methodology of "salat ala Nabiyy" yet you arrogantly brought unrelated issues to cover up.
# @Underlined, are the wives of the Prophet amongst his Ahl al-bayt? Our submissions are very simple and crystal clear. Generally the wives, the cousins and the uncles were definitely part of the Prophet's Household. However, Prophet himself limited the list to five individuals [His blessed self, Ali, Fatima, Hassan and Hussein] in connection with the following: Ayat Tathir (verse of purification in surah Ahzab:33), Ayat Mubahala (surah Ahl Imran: 61), Hadith Thaqalain and Hadith Khalifatain. In these events and blessings, ALL the wives and other relatives were excluded by the Prophet himself.
You are free to challenge this and in sha Allah you will be mesmerized.
Obviously you have displayed ignorance and hatred here. These two defects block one's heart of understanding.
# According to the Quran, some group of Munafiq among the Sahabah fabricated lie that Umm al-Mu'minin Aisha committed adultery. Allah the Just cleared her and rebuked these filthy liars.
* You are challenged to present a single SAHIH Shi'a tradition that accused Umm al-Mu'minin Aisha of committing adultery.
# What Shia accused Umm al-Mu'minin Aisha of are the following as stated in sura Tahrim (chap.66): Plotting against the Prophet, Having a Zaghat (deviated) heart, and deficiency in about 6 noble characters.
# She was also accused of fighting against the "Rightly Guided Khalifah", Imam Ali. Implication of fighting Ali is fighting the Prophet himself and Allah. Umm al-Mu'minin Aisha herself confessed she committed INNOVATION after the demise of the Prophet.
Kindly present those verses that showed the wives of the Prophet were part of his "Ahl al-bayt".
Lastly, you and I don't need to deviate this beautiful thread with the issue pertaining to the Ahl al-bayt or wives of the Prophet. You are not the first to challenge and obviously not the last. Many have been put to sword on this issue. I invite you to an appropriate thread where Ahl al-bayt and Umm al-Mu'minin Aisha have been discussed at length:
https://www.nairaland.com/2715836/fatima-bint-muhammad-leader-women With regard to the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), the most correct view is that they are included among the members of the family of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), because Allaah says, after commanding the wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) to observe hijaab (interpretation of the meaning): “Allaah wishes only to remove Ar-Rijs (evil deeds and sins) from you, O members of the family (of the Prophet), and to purify you with a thorough purification” [al-Ahzaab 33:33] The above verse is directed at the wives of the prophet alyhissolaat wassalaam. The narrations that came regarding this verse that informs of the inclusion of Ali and his family -as compiled by Ahmad rahimahuLLaah and others- only show that the verse is not restricted to the wives rather the ruling also includes the other members of the family. This is because the verse is directed towards the wives and even mentioned them , so how can you say that it doesn't include them?! That would be tantamount to vain speech. please see al-Itqaan by Imam Jalaaluddeen As-Suyootee for further information on how to apply knowledge of asbaabu nuzuul. evidence two And the angels said to Saarah the wife of Ibraaheem (peace be upon him) (interpretation of the meaning): “The Mercy of Allaah and His Blessings be on you, O the family [of Ibraaheem (Abraham)]” [Hood 11:73] And because Allaah excluded the wife of Loot from the family of Loot (peace be upon him) with regard to survival, when He said (interpretation of the meaning): “(All) except the family of Loot. Them all we are surely, going to save (from destruction). Except his wife…” [al-Hijr 15:59-60] |

the fatwa is actually a refutation against the partisans because, The sheikh refuted the one who names himself salafiyy to divide the Muslims. This is the same way the many groups in Nigeria divide the Muslims. The refutation is not intended at the one who associates himself to the salaf i.e pious predecessors. This is because if you don't associate yourself to the salaf (pious predecessors) who else would you attribute yourselves to?! What clarifies this my explanation is that the sheikh even declares the path of the salaf as the right way in his book kitabul ilm. And even his Wikipedia page testifies to it. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Othimen.jpg |

AlBaqir: That salat ala Nabiy of yours above is Batil. You can correct yourself or align with the Nawasib.
Al-Albani (d. 1420 H):
"You have known from our previous discussions that in all the methods of making salat upon the Prophet, peace be upon him, there is mention of his Ahl al-Bayt and his family. This is why it is incorrect to make salat upon him, peace be upon him, alone. Rather, one must attach the family to him. In fact, one must mention the complete method from its beginning to its end, as it has been narrated, bound by his statement, peace be upon him “say: O Allah, send salat upon Muḥammad and upon the family of Muḥammad….” when they asked him about the method of making salat upon him, peace be upon him."
Ref: Muḥammad Nasir al-Din al-Albani, Aṣl Ṣifat al-Salat al-Nabi (Riyadh: Maktabah al-Ma’arif li al-Nashr wa al-Tawzi'; 1st edition, 1427 H), vol. 3, p. 933 The statement is even an evidence against you and your deviant shia creed! He said ahl bayt and family. And this undoubtedly includes his wives alyhissolaat wassalaam. So, it is you that curses Aishah and the other members of the Messenger's household that is the real naasib. Allah revealed verses to declare her innocence but you filthy shia still disbelieve in the verses and claim that she is guilty. And several verses of the Quran show that the wife is also part of ahl bayt. see jilaul afhaam by Ibn Qoyyim pg 257 and beyond. dar ilmil fawaaid. |

AlBaqir: The greeting of Islam {as-Salam alaykum...} was legislated when Islam came. Prophet Muhammad was reported to have said: “The Jews didn’t envy you a thing as much as they envied you your greeting (salaam).”* If salaam did not concern this umma only, the Jews would not envy it. And the Jews and the Christians were part of Adam's offspring. How did Abu Hurayra say: “When Allah (S.w.T.) had created Adam, he said to him: Go to greet those angels and listen to what they will greet you with because it is your and your progenies’ greeting.”
* Ref: Refer to al-Qastalani in his book Irshad as-Sari, vol.10, pg.492 Ibrahim alyhissalam even greeted the angels with salam as mentioned by Allah in the noble Quran. So please stop spreading baseless opinions. "when they (angels) entered upon him (Ibrahim) then they said salam and he said salam (oh) strange people" Dhariyaat 25 So ibrahim alyhissalam said the salam and verse serves as shaahid (witness) for Abu Hurayra's hadith. And Abu Hurayrah is free from the evil you attribute to him. As for the Jews, then they were a criminal people who always deviated from the right path. Allah might have deprived their generation of the blessings of this greeting to serve as a punishment for them. Allah does as He wills according to His infinite wisdom and knowledge. |

gimakon: One question, when you say your prayers, you say in mohammeds name? If the answer is no, we say in Jesus name, O lord hear our prayers, guide and protect us, in Jesus name.
Jesus said I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the father only by me. If we solicit for our selves and we ask God for things through his own child, I don't see it as wrong doctrine. The same way we see it, is the same way you see mohammed.
What if I say the mosaic laws of moses, you worship moses, because virtually old testament laws is what every Muslim follows.
See how silly and dragging you talk. Ok your Quran speaks of Jesus as Al mashish,i do hear muslims saying they have accepted Jesus as prophet and Allah as his god, so many things... I would conclude and say the only confused religion in the world is islam. as much as they confuse you, they confuse themselves also.
I didn't bother to read about your ibrahim, false tales are what your imams preach, I wonder how one person would practice a religion and would make you come here to say islam is the oldest religion, do you realise that a religion is accepted by many? Annunaki: And you think muslims don't worship mohamed Why do muslims all over the world kill for merely drawing mohamed cartoons if he is not revered as a god? Why do you guys go and worship at his grave in your so called pilgrimages? Why must you always mention his name when praying to your so called allaah? Why the (pbuh)always stated when you mention his name? Why do you guys insult God by labelling a vile character like mohamed the best of God's creation I put it to you, muslims worship mohamed whether you admit it or not, you worship a mere demon possessed man who a paedophile, armed robber, rapist, murderer, liar, adulterer and psychopath. Seems you've taken it personal, I understand how it feels when you are out of point and still need to give a reply! As for the cartoons, then it is part of faith to detest the mockery of a pious person, I also have a similar feeling when I see the image of 'Jesus' around in the churches, mockery righteous people is very offensive. it doesn't mean I worship them. However, this does not mean that I support the killings by angry but ignorant people. we don't go to his grave to worship, in fact it is not right to travel to madinah with the intention of visiting his grave alyhissolaat wassalaam. rather you leave for the mosque in madinah but it is not right to pass by any grave without doing the proper prayer for them i.e pray for the believers' graves and give the disbelievers tidings of hell. The madinah mosque is one of the three sacred mosques in Islam, Haram of Makkah, Madinah mosque and Qudus in Palestine. If not for the criminal Jews we would also be performing pilgrimage to Palestine! Actually, whenever we mention him alyhissolaat wassalaam it's only of two cases first; when affirming belief in his messengership i.e I testify that Muhammad is his Messenger. And this is not worship. second; whenever his name is mentioned, we say alyhissolaat wassalaam i.e peace and blessings of Allah be upon him. We are even praying for him, do you pray for God or your deity. So, we worship Allah without any partner, not even Muhammad alyhissolaat wassalaam the last and best of the prophets. Allah says in the Quran after mentioning a number of prophets and saying that he is pleased with them all (..... and if they associated partners (with Allah) all their deeds would be destroyed) |

gimakon: Indirectly , you call Christianity False.
We worship God. We send our prayers to God, thru Jesus.
and abraham, whats his business with preaching? Where in your quran did it show that abraham preached the gospel? You worship God through Jesus?! That's a big lie, you people are just too confused. Many of you call Jesus and ask him for your needs. One of you here on nairaland even called God incarnate. So, stop lying that you don't worship Jesus. Don't you say Jesus is lord? Even if I accept that, for the sake of argument, the fact still remains that your religion is a pagan religion. why? There is hardly no pagan that denies the existence of a Supreme God, but their problem has always been that they took other creators as intermediaries between them and God and thus give one or more forms of worship to these intermediaries besides this Supreme God. Just as the Yoruba have olodumare and took sango, obatala etc as intermediaries. and that is they say "it's the same God we are calling, it's just the way we call that's different" The Arabs before Islam had Allah and took laat and manaat etc as intermediaries. The Christians too chose Jesus as intermediary. Today, many deviated Muslims too take Sheikh AbdulQaadir, and that man Niyas, and the shia too took Ali and his family as intermediaries. So, you see, it's the same misguidance but in different forms. Satan makes people develop extreme and wrong love for the righteous till they transgress the bounds and raise them to divinity. And the argument has usually been the same, they say these men were righteous people and are therefore closer to God than us. So let's take them as intermediaries. And that is where the deviation starts. So, worshipping God true anybody is not justified not even an angel or prophet born by miracle. As for Abraham, The story of how his people threw him into a pit of fire in suratul Anbiyaa suffices as answer for you. |

The largest Abrahamic religions in chronological order of founding are Judaism (2nd millennium BCE),[6] Christianity (1st century CE) and Islam (7th century CE)
Fro here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abrahamic_religions
For Gods sake, if you are NOT sure of something do not post it to support your claims, Islam is one of the worlds newest religions, Who is even telling you that islam is old, how old, 1400 years? when there are religions like the old religion that has existed for nearly 2000 years (6 A.D) Man, I taya4u!!! Can't you see that these three religions are in clear contrast to one another. And two opposites can't be true at the same time. The fact that all of them are attributing themselves to Ibrahim doesn't mean they are all from him. So definitely only one of them is truly the religion of Ibrahim. And that is the monotheistic Islam. please open your heart and ponder better before typing! I asked you, did Abraham preach trinity? Did Jesus say worship me? Islam is the only religion that truly follows the path of our father Abraham, all others are innovated and bastard religions especially the one born and falsely attributed to Jesus by that criminal called Paul. |

Islam › Re: Ruling On Congratulating One Another On Fridays - Sheikh Solih Fawzaan by Newnas(op): 5:42am On Feb 28, 2016 |
AlBaqir: The above ruling is Sheik Salih's personal Ijtihad which is contradictory to other Scholars Ijtihad. And none of these Ijtihad is binding or obligatory on ANY Muslim.
# Everything is Halal (permissible) in Islam except where there is a clear directive that it is Haram (forbidden) in the Quran and Sahih ahadith from the Prophet. Anything not mentioned in the Quran and Sunnah is never forgotten by Allah and His Messenger. The Ummah is free to exercise their Ijtihad in line with their understanding of the deen on this "unmentioned issues".
# The fact that there is no documented evidence that sahabah greeted themselves "Jumah Mubarak" is never an evidence that the greeting is "forbidden or discouraged". There were lots of things that some Sahabah did that we NEVER followed them in doing that. And there were lots of things they did not engaged in that we do.
Example:
* Saying after the mentioning of Sahabah, "Radi'Allahu anhu/anha/anhum" is never commanded or recommended by Allah or His Messenger despite the fact that the wording was revealed as part of Quran and the Prophet himself recited it as part of the Quran; and even the Sahabah themselves recited it. Yet we do this very often without a direct or indirect command of Allah and His Prophet. It is only approved by Ijtihad of the Ummah.
* When the verse of Salawat was revealed, there is a direct command upon the believers to send salat and salam upon the Prophet [surah Ahzab]. However, the holy Prophet was asked by the Sahabah, "How should we send salat upon you?" Prophet replied, "say, "O Allah send salat upon Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad in exactly the same manner that You have sent salat upon Ibrahim and the progeny of Ibrahim...; and (O Allah) send barakat upon Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad in exactly the same manner that You have sent barakat upon Ibrahim and the progeny of Ibrahim...". The shorter version of this salawat is "O Allah! Bless Muhammad and the progeny of Muhammad"
This or similar salawat is the prescribed salawat by the Prophet himself. This is what even the Sahabah did. So why is it that today we have INCLUDED a phrase that was never commanded, recommended or prescribed by Allah and His Messenger into our salawat by saying: ""O Allah! Bless Muhammad and his progeny and his companions altogether.
Who commanded us to insert "and his companions altogether"? This is an Ijtihad agreed upon by the Ummah.
#Example of this kind of "Ijtihad" is abound that practically has no directive order in the Quran and Sunnah. Saying "Jum'ah Mubarak" or "Barka Jimoh" etc on Friday is mere greetings that foster love, affection, brotherhood and prayers between the Muslims. This is a kind of unqualified "good things" that Quran recommend.
Quran declares: And when you are greeted with a greeting, greet with a better (greeting) than it or return it; surely Allah takes account of all things{surah Nisa:86}.
In this ayah, greetings can come in any form. It doesn't matter. The command is greet equally or better than how you were greeted. In my Neighbourhood, we greet ourselves on Friday, "A Ku Jimoh oni o. Emi wa a se opolopo re laye o". Not returning the greeting equally or better is a violation of this noble ayah. Surprisingly, even we greet ourselves "E Ku Sunday o Ni o; E Ku ojo meta o; E Ku owuro o etc. Are you saying since Sahabah did not greet themselves as such, then it is to be avoided? Weird.
Salam Firstly, If the Sheikh did ijtihad then he has right to do so because he has the necessary scholarly tools to give a verdict which you definitely lack. secondly, I mentioned that whoever has a contrary scholarly opinion may present it with proof, you didn't mention any scholar that shares your opinion with you. Thirdly, these greeting of jumuah is not a mundane act rather it is an act of worship just as we needed evidence to support the greeting of eid, we also need evidence from the salaf of the ummah (companions and those who follow them in goodness) to establish the greeting of jumuah. This is because, every worship is Haram until we find evidence for it. Your principle that everything in Islam is permissible until evidence is found against it, this is a very misleading and misguided principle. The implication is that a person can pray subhi as 10 rakats because no evidence prohibits it or perform hajj in his room because no evidence prohibits it and according to you everything is permissible until evidence is established against it. fourthly, This your statement that [and his companions } was not part of the true Solah is a baseless point because; One; Imam Bukharee -alyhi rahmatuLLaah- compiled in his soheeh the hadith of Abu Humayd asSaa'idiyy that they (the companions said) how do we make Solah upon you? He -alyhissolaat wassalaam -said say; oh Allah send Solah upon Muhammad and his wives and progeny just as you have sent Solah upon Ibrahim and his wives and progeny, Allah send barakah upon Muhammad and his wives and progeny just as you have sent barakah upon Ibrahim and his progeny, You are indeed Hameed Majeed. (Bukharee 3369, Muslim 407). Two; The scholars of sunnah mentioned that it is not right to change any of the wordings of the adhkar not even to exchange Rasul for nabiyy or vice versa. So it is this same As for the verse you Quotedscholars that have this principle that will go ahead and add to Solah?! Maybe you don't know that solat ibrahimiyyah has many authentic wordings from the messenger alyhissolaat wassalaam, The sunnah regarding this is to interchange between them and not stick to a particular one. please see sifatu Solah of imam Albany for further details. three; I don't know anyone who makes that addition amongst the people of sunnah. four This does not negate the virtues of the companions. The verse you quoted, you have completely erred in the explanation, a horrible one. To be sincere, I wouldn't expect a person who has the audacity to reply sheikh Fawzaan and other scholars to be so ignorant. The meaning of greeting in the verse is the greeting of teslim! why? Imam bukharee compiled in his soheeh, from Abu Hurayrah that when Allah created Adam and his height was sixty cubits He said to him "go, and greet those group of angels, and listen to their reply (it will be your greeting and the greeting of your offspring)" then he went and said "Assalam alykum " then they replied "wa alyka salam wa rahmatuLLaah " so they added wa rahmatuLLaah.....(bukharee) So the hadith shows that the only greeting recognized with Allah is the teslim. If not, tell me how you greet with a better reply if someone tells you good morning? |
