Crime / Re: Why is Yahoo no longer consider as a crime? by Newusername(m): 11:17pm On Apr 06, 2022
[quote author=matri6 post=111639765]the rate at which yahoo is pervading through every fibre of our society today is quite alarming.
go to every cities and the smallest villages, you will always see a handful of yahoo boys.
...
though it has benefited those who indulge in it but, it is psychologically affecting those who tends to uphold dignity...the psychological effect as it is fondly called OPPRESSION.
....
the country is bleeding. poverty is busy crushing and frustrating the life of youths from humble background in a merciless manner.
as for the dude born from a poor background , no one care for him apart from his poor parents.
government doesn't care!
no good job. nothing nothing!
youths are finding ways to break free from shackle of poverty.
and this what gives birth to the influence of yahoo in our society.
....
but no! the youth aren't lazy. it's the system that doesn't work in favour of the youths from poor background.
no reasonable job to salvage them from poverty except those slavery labor work.
and in nigeria there is no helping culture. every dude for himself.

government? no help!
banks? no help!
family? no help!
friends? no help!
....
i often heard people say go learn online skill. but hardly do they know that most of the youths are so poor that they cant afford 3 square meal per day not to talk of acquiring a laptop, and then pay for online course and all that. Go to our campuses and witness this...and mind you not everyone is tech savvy.
Though I'm not in anyway supporting laziness but being factual.
...
and the funniest part is that it has becomes a norms in the society.
celebrity talks about it as norm.
musicans sing a praise of it.
comedians make a joke of it.
parents applauds their rich yahoo children.
religious leaders pray for and bless the yahoo guys who bring them gift.
..
the society is passing a message across and it's now getting clearer.
...

And as we've all known the society has made it legal that there is no punishable act for it.

so the yahoo boys can easily flaunt their riches without no questioning or consequences.
even the EFCC 'only' go after the biggest boys of which they can obtain some tangible substance.
...
i couldn't explain the feeling you have seeing your juniors and mates who even refuse to further their education building houses, buying luxurious cars and exotic phone. sincerely, you feel worthless and miserable.
my so called mates that indulge in it find it hard to relate with me cos of their new status.
...
in most communities the upright guys are seen as a persona non grata. the wealthy young youth are being praised.
...
i'm still a 200l undergraduate though. but who that epp in a decayed society?
even on campus nobody tends to celebrate academic excellence again.yahoo has taken that order.
...
it is now dawn on me, seeming that schooling is a waste of time.
afterall, our senior colleagues are out there jobless. then of course we knw our fate.

Even within the campus, I know the challenges poor upright guys face. Sometimes you go to lectures on empty stomach. Many are still at the mercy of the school cos they're yet to pay their fees.

Guys from humble background will relate better.
...

To get my message clearer. I'm in no way talking about the guys that are into rituals which they deceitfully called yahoo plus. My topic of discussion has nothing to do with yahoo plus. To be succinct.
.....
Now we the so called upright guys are experiencing the bandwagon effect.

We are considering the second though every minutes.

We want to do it not just to feel among but because we want to wave a goodbye to poverty. Then after we've made it, we will stop it. Thereafter we will come back to our normal state of upright guys.
....

Well I'm writing from my own philosophical point of view. I'm neither supporting or opposing the practice. I'm neutral.

....
What is your view on this?
Or what is your own advice for the poor upright dude there considering a second though

It's well, but my own be say.
Forget Yahoo boys, no let person pressure you, no give yourself too much work, set standards and start learning skills that will set you apart. Attend seminars, meet new people and read, read even beyond the scope of your course and you will see ideas coming to you.
Laslas, no forget God na HIM be the sustainer, we go dey alright. Also, most importantly set goals and work towards achieving them.

Bro, I was also literally broke in my early 20's as well. The only thing of worth attached to my name was that I was a student. So I understand you perfectly, but with what I know now, having no money is not an excuse. Its an obstacle, but not an excuse.

Go for a skill intensive money making path that requires time which you have in abundance, not resources (money) which you dont have. You can learn fashion design, unisex hairdressing, or if you have a bit of money, but a used laptop and learn coding or Web designing on YouTube. I designed the website for my current business using WordPress which I learnt all on YouTube. Meanwhile i'll be charged about 500k if I choose to hire a designer.

Thank you for your response. I am currently using what I have in abundance (Time) to learn skills as we speak of which one of the aforementioned skills is there and I believe when I am done, my skills will bring the money for the business.

Wished I started a business when I was twenty. Then, even if I made mistakes for five years straight, I'll be twenty-five and still have time with no responsibilities. When you're young, time and freedom is all your have. You gradually become conscious of the value of time as it begins to dissappear.

When you are in your 30's and above, mistakes are more costly, and your life is probably established and lacking flexibility. The questions you get will no longer be "what are you studying?", but "what do you do?" At this age, wasting time due to necessary mistakes becomes hurtful. So yea, it would be this one.
Good evening.
What do you have to say about young guys who are in their early twenties and have no money for business(like literally broke grin), but learning and studying skills relevant to their course of study in the hope of applying the knowledge gained to solve problems?

ProphetJeroboam:
True, we always talk about daddy issues so I decided to see it from the mommy’s side. Lack of a strong fatherly figure creates spineless men who gets fvked by women and the society. Under affection and over affection from their mothers causes same thing I’ve written up there and most times the affected men in this case mask their psychological attachments as being respectful to women. You are loved by your mother as a child, you are loved and respected by your mother as an adult male, that’s how it should be. Do you know why the female partners of men with dominant mother figure in their lives experience problems with said mother, it’s because women know women for what they are, the mother sees the female partner as an encroaching female who will divert the love, attention and resources they get from their sons, these women are not blinded by pussy, they see their son’s wife without filters. In turn, the female partners despise the mother because she is still in conquered territory, mother and wife see each other as trespassers. Every bit of their manipulative antics is reflected in their dealings with the son and husband/girlfriend and they see it for what it is, manipulations because it’s script played out of same book so they easily recognize each other’s script. I know we tend to avoid the concept of men simping for their mothers because it is a touchy subject here but a balance has to be struck in a young man’s life. Men who try to act dominant with their female partners but simp for their mothers are in danger because their mind will always be conflicted. When a man is in conflict with his mother, she will draw his attention to the fact that he suckled her breasts and came out of her vagina to make him subservient, when a man is in his conflict with his female partner, she will deny him access to same body parts to make him subservient, both women know the effect said body parts have on men and they will weaponize it because that is their nature. Young men are not ready to accept the fact that some of the tricks they spend time evading from their female partners have been played on them by their mothers without their knowledge, such men are always in mental conflicts with themselves. You maintain frame with your female partner but give passes to mommy to run your life, a strong wife will run your life too.

Good afternoon sir, please it will be okay if you indent and paragraph your posts. Thank you.

N.B: Same applies to the rest that are fond of writing without proper indentation and paragraph .

Romance / Re: Have A Girl Ever Ask U Out As A Guy How Does It Goes Share Yr Tought by Newusername(m): 11:01pm On Mar 31, 2022
pansophist:
Alot of times I've been asked out, directly and indirectly. Directly by saying that you guys should date, indrectly by the free food, calling, doing your housework etc. If I vibe with her, I give in. If not, I pretend like i didnt know whats going on, unless she asked directly, then I'll say politely that I'm not interested.

My thoughts about it is that rejection is not the typical female reality. Its normal for women to be the rejecter, not the rejected. I know a girl that hate me like how the devil hate Jesus, and it's because she threw in her advances and I said I'm not interested. I should have been more diplomatic.

Most importantly, girls that ask you out usually love the most. Women generally are swimming in male advances, but for her to ignore all of them and choose you, my guy, you found peace. There will be no unnecessary billings. She will please you and love you well, unless you mess up and she can't take it anymore.

The sad part of this is that alot of the women that will ask you out will be unattractive to you. I see it in myself as well. Physical attraction is so strong, that he/she might be an angel, but because we are not attracted, they loose value in our eyes. For most of us, its hard to love someone we ain't attracted to.

Good evening sir and how are you doing?

At the bolded, I noticed this. What do you think is the cause of this?

First and foremost, from what I can deduce from what you typed. It is apparent you don't have a vision you are pursuing or you are currently not fulfilling your purpose.
You need to and very importantly discover yourself first(the essence of your being) , it is crucial as that will form the basis of your existence, what you want from life and what have you.
One will continue to move in circles, unhappy and deep down in one's have this feeling of not really doing what one like and passionate about.
You need to consider the above and if you are a believer commune with your maker, go to a quiet place for meditation and deliberately start working on the journey of self discovery.
In addition, begin to think positive, say positive and the universe will work with you in bringing your positive thoughts to reality.

NB: Shun those that said you are late, your discovery of anything might what will be turning point of your life and the world at large. I wish you happy self discovery.

Goodmorning Christian brethrens and to all nairalanders.

In today's society, I noticed that people seem to see those that do not go to church regularly as not being serious with their heavenly race and salvation of soul and this makes it look like one salvation of soul is tied down to going to church regularly.

I am one of such person that do not like going to church at all, but I believe so much in God and I know I am not the only one in this. This problem is faced by so many people in the world.

So is there anything wrong in one not going to church regularly but believe in God within himself or herself and try his or her best in doing the things that pleases God.

Omo same thing here, I don't fancy going to church but my personal relationship with God that I will never take for granted. When it's time for my quiet time I do that but people especially church goers go think say na me
do bad pass if I no go church. Na God see our mind.
