Why, as a man and father, will nurturing your own kids not be a primary duty to you? Will heaven fall if you're both responsible for providing and nurturing?
It's good for both parents to nurture their children but it is the primary duty of the mother

Proserpina:
As a man do not get married if you are not ready to provide.

It's as simple as that.
Why will a man get married if he is not ready to provide? From what I know, provision is the primary duty of a man while nurturing is the primary duty of a woman.

Yaradua didn't have good intentions for Nigeria. A lot of what we are suffering today is cause of yaradua. He reversed a lot of Obasanjos policies. Yaradua and buhari are the same stock of people.

Africa and Nigeria will never be great. The black man has been cursed by God to suffer until the world ends.

Ah! This is too much na.

Many Nigerians are used to saying SORRY instead of EXCUSE ME and that can lead to a whole lot of unwarranted "SORRY" especially in an office with high verbal communication rate.

SORRY, where is the door
EXCUSE ME where is the door.

Exactly, I am tired of correcting people especially the so called undergraduates who are supposed to know how to differentiate between the two words and how to use them.

It's so annoying.

Celebrities / Re: My Family Started Anglican Church In Nigeria But I’m Juju Worshipper – Seun Kuti by Newusername(m): 9:02pm On Jan 17
FOLYKAZE:
You've done well Seun by identifying with the root, the African spirituality.

Christianity and Islam are the two foreign religions that tried not only to steal our heritage away from us but they completely want to erode us of our history and heritage. We've come of age to realise that ROF Ogboni had it source from the church. As a matter of fact, the Reformed Ogboni Fraternity (Inc.) was instituted on 18 December 1914 by a Anglican Clergyman, the late Hon. Archdeacon T.A.J. Ogunbiyi. Pushing history back, dark spirituality like Geomancy has it source from the church. Its therefore not a new song that started yesterday that the core of those churches are closet traditionalist who sold dummies to their flocks.

Funny enough, traditional spirituality does not have founder. Unlike Christianity and Islam that was created by a dead Jew and Caravan robber in the middle east desert, African spirituality connects us with the world beyond. And only through it one can know itself

Help me tell them ooo, especially the first commenter.

What a shame, rejoicing at the triumphing of Satan over your soul.

Because he chose to be a traditional worshipper, he should then be ashamed of himself?

Nope Unilag is not overhyped.. infact, the institution lives up to its reputation and motto "in deed and in truth". You can't graduate from Unilag without having something upstairs.. the calibre of lecturers in Unilag will humble you.
While I was in the Faculty of Engineering, our Dean of Faculty was exceptional, a Prof. par excellence (heard he is now late).. We had other gurus like Prof. Mowete in Electrical and so many others, too numerous to mention.. who you wan raise shoulder for na?
There is one particular Don that taught me GEG 101, Engineering Mathematics in my first year who was working with NASA then.. Public Universities are still the best till tomorrow.

Don't let anyone deceive you, there are only two Universities in Nigeria... UNILAG and others.
It's not just called the Uni. of First Choice for fun.. you gatz ace your JAMB and compete with over 80,000 candidates from across the country for 6,000 admission slots. It's the best of the best brains you'll meet on campus when you finally enter.
So true. I had to write JAMB twice before being admitted into Engineering.

Only UNILAG can pull a German Chancellor , the Leader of the largest and most powerful country in Europe, down to its campus. No other school can pull this feat.

Greatest Akokites! You rock guys.

If you are reading this and you didn't attend UNILAG, if you can still, try and attend UNILAG. You will find out why Akokites have a very high esteem of themselves wink

N.B: Ignore those hating on UNILAG, most of them hate UNILAG because UNILAG rejected their admission application. UNILAG has the highest standard of admission no other school in Nigeria has, it's the only university that insists on a single O'level sitting result, high UTME score and not less than credit O'level in Further Mathematics for all Engineering and Mathematics-affiliated courses.

You must study very hard to merit and earn a UNILAG admission today, study very hard to graduate with great grades and go out there and succeed in life. Prestigious organisation are waiting for you! Check my signature for free stuffs!

Even though the academic calendar is slow, I never regretted choosing UNILAG. A school full of opportunities and gives you the chance and platform to grow as much as you want. I love my school. Akokite for life.

Politics / Re: How Do You See Nigeria By 2030 by Newusername(m): 11:32am On Oct 26, 2023
Gerrard59:

Nigeria would not divide, because for the country to divide, there has to be a war. No country in modern-day history has disintegrated without fighting a bloody war (Singapore was a different case as she was expelled against her wish). Nigerians are not ready to fight a war. Inasmuch as the country is ethnically fractured, Nigerians have become more interwoven among themselves than before. And if the country is going to disintegrate, there would be more countries created out of it than the USSR.

However, one thing I am ready to bet on is that Nigeria's future will be more Islamic. The country is going to be a majority Muslim nation. That could necessitate the division, but looking at Lebanon, it did not divide. South Sudan is a different case. https://www.nairaland.com/7621766/tinubus-nigeria-nigeria-2050

People might not believe it, but just as I predicted Peter Obi's failure and Europe's bromance with Islamic terrorists, I will here to remind everyone when we start having Ekaette Mohammed, Ezinne Umar and Pepple Musa.
I am waiting for that day, then I go know say you be prophet.

Why won’t they knack anything for food when you have not provided the environment for your women and children to thrive? The white man has done all that. What is stopping you?

Why are you guys always coveting what the white man has? You covet his women, country, football clubs etc. The list is endless. No wonder they call you guys useless eaters that have no value. I shame for who no shame for una.

This is what Gerrard59 always say, when we(Men) refuse to build our society, the women have no choice than to survive on what is available. Nice post.

Romance / Re: Why Are Human So Horrible. by Newusername(m): 2:09pm On Sep 25, 2023
pansophist:
At least you're realising that humans ain't different from animals.

Religions, civil laws, cultures, traditions, etc, are just the bandage that regulates how brutal we can be. If humans are inherently good, there would be no need for laws.

So maybe you should just realise that your experiences are the true nature of things, then you won't be disappointed or even surprised.

After God created humans, he regretted it, what does that tell you? Also isn't that suggestive that God is the real G when it comes to the monopoly of violence?

What is greater than hell? Can any humans inflict suffering on others until eternity? No. But God can. And you're created in his image, remember. Lol

Welcome to using your common sense, you go think tire. Just don't be mad in the process. Or just become hedonistic and enjoy yourself until you die. No point thinking too much. Na sorrow full that place smiley

At the bolded. All I can say is omo
