These are the kinds of actions that show how truly extremist US citizens are. So what kinds of bullets are they going to create for their own Boko Harams, who go to schools and shoot the whole place up? I guess they should lace those with monkey blood. This kind of situations make moderate Muslims re-view American citizens in a new light, that they are even more extremists that any other people. |
I believe there are some jobs which men are more naturally built to phically, and mentally handle, and they have a massive advantage over women, especially in menial jobs. They haven't be declared illegal. I see no reason why the jobs which the women are more naturally gifted to do are now being illegalized, especially because we have more men in government and law enforcement. I'm in support of the legalization, but regulation of commercial sex work. In as much as it should be legalized, only well trained, and exceptionally skilled practitioners should be allow to practice, and not just any woman with a reproductive organ. |
All Hype! First off, a Porsche Panamera is nowhere near N50 million. Porsche Centre is there in VI. Secondly, this doesn't look like the Panamera WizKid was posing with the other day, abi why is the plate number not there? In fact, it's not it at all. It is so bad that people now wish themselves bad, all because of media hype. By the way, the W on that is for Banky.

Personally, I too had become a bit tire of the very many beauty pageants all over the place, however, when the I heard from the reigning Face Of Pace, and the people she's been able to meet, and what she's been able to discuss with them, I realized there was no way those people could give me the same audience, and if we can develop someone that could carry our message, and ideas on how peace can be charted to the relevant decision makers, I'm all for it.

If you're seeking some novelesque thriller a la Tom Clancy or Robert Ludlum featuring Susan Rice as agent 008, you surely clicked on the wrong URL. Abiola's assassination was much simpler, and over one of the most inconsequential issues, as most would think. But it is, still, a spy story after all. https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/ru/thumb/0/0f/Spy_vs._Spy.png/250px-Spy_vs._Spy.png MKO was friends with the CIA. He'd been very instrumental to some of their missions in Africa carried out in collaboration with MI6 in effecting change of governments which were not very friendly to multi-national companies from the USA and UK. Abiola himself was an asset in the infiltration of the Western capitalist machinery into Africa, and was in fact a board member in a few of those corporations. At the end of the day, when it was time for their friend to head the government of the most important country in Africa, his friends first abandoned, and eventually killed him. https://www.sott.net/image/image/s2/53512/full/cia_seal_1_.jpg I find it funny that some people still question if, but what worries me more is that no one seems to be asking WHY. I've seen several historians, activists, apologists, and conspiracy theorists paint similar scenarios of how MKO Abiola was killed by American intelligence agents, but none has bothered to give reasons. Does the CIA just flip a coin to decide which wrongfully incarcerated African leader gets to become President, and which one gets sniffed? "One Mandela is enough for one continent"? To answer the question of why, you have to look at the killing of Patrice Lumumba of the Democratic Republic Of Congo by the same CIA and MI6 duo, replacing him with their preferred Mobutu Sese Seko. Lumuba was secretly blacklisted for a simple statement he made regarding experiments with some socialist elements of governance in his country. That simple word, SOCIALIST, during an era when the USA had no "war against terror", but a war against Socialism and Communism, was what made them kill this great leader. On Abiola's part, the word which got him on the CIA target list was REPARATIONS. Reparations For Slavery is the call for payment of $777 Trillion to Africa by all those countries who benefited from the Trans-Atlantic Slavery. I don't know how they arrived at that figure, or even if Abiola himself was genuinely interested in their cause, or perhaps he cherished the thought of having shares in a quadrillion dollar settlement, but in December 1990, Abiola convened and sponsored the first world conference on reparations at the Nigeria Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), and by 1992, he had helped in strengthening, and structuring of the reparations demand. Now, there have been some scattered voices in the USA, The Caribbean and Europe, people descended from slaves who were crying out for reparations, and going to courts, and trying to mobilize others, but they were about to have a central figure in the President of the most populous African nation as their grand patron, then things were about to become very critical. [flash=720,600]" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GI7S9yhhgQ4?version=3&hl=en_US&rel=0" type="[/flash] WHERE DID ABIOLA EXPECT THESE COUNTRIES TO GET $777 TRILLION FROM?! That was what made all these countries pledge him support, yet make no real effort to back him up on his mandate. Of course they did portray some level of concern, but it was all theatrics. They preferred a Babangida, Abacha, Abdulsalam, or Obasanjo, to anybody who would levy a bounty of eternal poverty against them.

Some of us in Nigeria have thrown suspicion at the doors of the government's Israeli internet espionage team, however, this turns out to be quite incorrect. At least for the time being. The blame lies fully with Twitter programmers, and they're not denying it either. For anyone who's active on Twitter, it's difficult not to have noticed the recent weirdness all over the network. Not being able to tweet, inability to refresh timelines, and if you bother to check the details, you get "Twitter API rate limit for this account has been exceeded...". Some have have been outrightly suspended without knowing why. Well, Twitter has been gradually restricting third party applications, in order to release its own replacement apps, and now they also want to use the same technique to limit third party Twitter advertisers like me so that they can make more money through their Twitter "Promoted Tweets". Since about September 2012, Twitter started switching all subscribers from version 1.0 of their Application Program Interface (API) to version 1.1 which has mostly been a pain to application developers, but the aspect which really affects average users got into full swing from March 5th, 2013. This troublesome aspect is the Rate Limits. Twitter API Rate limits describe the number of times you can access particular features on Twitter, using a certain application within a given period of time. With the version 1.0 API, it was basically about 350 actions per hour for most features, but with the newer version 1.1 API, virtually everything is 15 actions in 15 minutes. Various applications are being ported to the new rates on at a time, and Twitter for BlackBerry just got its "Saka" moment. A lot of people are confused, some of us are angry, but the full ramifications of this change is yet to hit us. THE REAL TROUBLE: As the Rate Limits also affect refreshing of TLs, (ie: you can only refresh your timeline a couple of times times in 15 minutes) those of us who follow more than 1,000 handles on Twitter have to be very careful. If I refresh my timeline too many times in 1 minute, it means for the next 14 minutes, I can't view any new tweets. This affects trending topics also: refresh too many times in a few minutes, and you'll have to sit in "twitjail" till the completion of that 15-minute time-frame. If you understand geek, you may read directly from Twitter via: http://dev.twitter.com/docs/rate-limiting/1.1 http://dev.twitter.com/docs/rate-limiting/1.1/limits SOLUTION: 1. WiFi: Most Twitter applications refresh automatically when connected to WiFi, and Twitter doesn't recognize that as one of the 15 actions carried out within that time limit. So, all I've been saying, get on Oxygen Broadband Network! 2. Using multiple applications to request the same feature of Twitter gives the number of applications used, multiplied by the number of actionable requests with the 15-minute window i.e: intermingling the use of Uber Social and Twitter for BlackBerry will allow 30 actions on the same Twitter feature within 15 minutes. Hyper-actively exploiting or abusing this loophole will get an account suspended. Use sparingly. 3. Accounts which are following thousands of followers have to unfollow most, or forever give up their home timeline for only their mentions. Have in mind also that following and unfollowing lots of handles at a time will get an account suspended. Tread with caution. That's all folks. See ya in TwitJail...sooner or later anyway.

Whenever I'm out to buy a product,I look out for the ones made in Nigeria first and compare the prices, net weight, and other details before making a choice. Only where there is no Nigerian brand of the product, do I go for foreign ones, and the next thing I do is look for the African brand before others. I'm not only being patriotic, but keeping people in my vicinity employed, and also, in case of substandard quality of product I know that I can go straight to the companies address, and lay my complaints (I do that a lot). On another note, some of the good imported to Nigeria from American, European, and Asian countries are not of the same standard as those consumed in their countries. Some of their governments allow them make substandard products, as long as they can assure that it is for export to us over here. |
The female rapper Pryse drops her first single off 'The Enter-Pryse' project, titled ELETO. The track packs strong lyrics against other 'emcees' trying to challenge her position. Being an underground rapper who's been in the game for a while, she's bound to have a couple of those. With a team like the 'Choc Boiz' at her back, and more from where ELETO came from, PRYSE is sure to be one of those rappers that've come to the Nigerian music industry to stay. I wonder what is wrong with Enyimba. Are they expecting Orji Uzor Kalu to come back and finance them with the entire government budget? |
Please, please, if you know any woman with a very hairy face, chest or other parts, where hair shouldn't be, go to LaserDerm. I don't know how these women deal with it, but it must be terrible. |
Let GEJ go back to Amanpour and lie this new lie. |
Great review Ice Beatz, I hope I can quote this elsewhere. Grreat job man. It's been a long time I analyzed an LP this way. |

Thanks for all of your comments, it's not easy to get positive comments from Nairalanders, even for established artistes. I've copied and sent this link to Syko Lojikal himself so he can see, and pick up a thing or two from your criticisms and comments. The tracks seem so many for a mixtape, that was my observation to the artiste too, however, his reason is that he wants to release a new album made up of brand new material, so it's necessary he puts out all of his old bars. @blueheart I actually did state some tracks which I feel are quite exceptional, though you may have your own favourites. Please ensure to download and save the track, for those you who love Hiphop, because in a couple of weeks, copyright permissions will be gotten from some of the copyright owners of the utilized instrumentals, and YABA LEFT: The Fixtape will soon be available only for sale on @Spinlet. Been a long time I heard this sort of refreshing music from an "Amateur". |
SYKO Lojikal is versatile MC, and one of the last bastions of true Nigerian Hiphop. Having been a force to reckon with in the Nigerian underground Hiphop scene for nearly five years, SYKO, as he's simply known, prepares the ground for his debut album by dropping a massive 15-track mixtape. In the YABA LEFT: The Mixtape (or Fixtape as he prefers to call it), the artiste displays his versatility, lacing fiery lyrics on an array of instrumentals by foreign and local producers. Certain to catch your attention are: "Plenty Tins" produced by Da Suspect "I Survive" produced by OJB Jezreel "Amateur" produced by Femi Kuti (with additional input by Drew). "Airplanes", "Drugs Song", and "Si Eba Puwo" are other tracks that keep this mixtape steps ahead of anything previously released by anyone...YES, anyone! The pictures which the original poster uploaded were not from the venue of the event. Probably just before those celebrities headed to the venue. I was there myself. I hope people learn from the way this premiere went, especially the organizers. Things have to be done thoroughly. I also can't understand why the lead actors in a movie won't show up for the premiere, unless they don't believe in the movie itself. How busy could they be that they can't showcase to the world what they've been busy doing? I think Nigerian movie producers should learn what works for Nigeria in terms of movie premieres, rather than copying everything Oyibo people show them on E! It seemed like a good movie, but the ram-shackled manner in which we watched the premiere was tormenting. I think I'll have to go and watch this at the cinema because the plot seemed to be coming on perfectly well.

Is this not an OBJ project? Nice that after being abandoned at near completion since Obasanjo left office, they have finally decided to launch it in April. I knew Yar'Adua suspended all OBJ's power projects in order to investigate them and prove the transparency of the NIPP contracts, but under GEJ, who doesn't "give a damn" about transparency, I wonder why those projects which were almost ready for launch, like the one in Ihovbor, Edo State, were still being stalled. I hope all those accusing OBJ of stealing billions of Naira meant for the power sector can now see that it was the shoeless one, and his late due process predecessor who actually kept us in the dark. |
Any further attempt to analyse the level of damage, destruction, insecurity, and corruption prevailing in this country today is to resume another round of whipping on the proverbial dead horse. The spate of Boko Haram bombings, budgeting of billions of Naira for the construction of infrastructure of vanity for the presidency, and the recent pardoning of convicted criminals in the same circles as the president would have cleared any doubts about the intentions of the Executive arm of this government. The action to take now, is not the writing of lengthy lamentations, or tweeting of rants on Twitter, or even hitting the streets to protest a la "Ocuppy Nigeria", but to abide by the lawful, orderly, and Constitutional means of dealing with such matters: We must impeach the president. We are left with no alternative. It is only citizens who have not read the Constitution Of The Federal Republic Of Nigeria that are not aware of their lawful right to serve their Senators orders, including those requesting for the impeachment of the President. In a case whereby Senators heed not to such a request by the electorate of their Senatorial District, Section 69 of the Constitution enables them to be removed and replaced with those more keen to do as told. If you want change, it begins with writing out, printing, or filling the relevant information ( Your address, Date, Senatorial District address of the Senator representing the District where you registered as a voter, Senator's name, Your name, and the VIN on your Voters' Card). Submit to the Senatorial District Office, and start meeting, and lobbying within whatever interest group, union, or association you belong to to get as many as two thirds of registered voters in Nigeria involved too. You may also edit as you deem fit, print, and share to fellow citizens who may not have access to the internet. Thank you. _________________________, _________________________, _________________________, _________________. ___________. _______________________, _______________________, ___________, ___________. Senator _______________________, Request For The Impeachment Of The President Of The Federal Republic Of Nigeria Accept this instant notice as a request for initiating impeachment proceedings, pursuant to Section 143 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, against Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the sitting president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The president has engaged in various activities which amount to gross misconduct including, but not limited to: 1. Wanton and wasteful expenditure of state resources. 2. Inaction in the face of widespread loss of lives and properties he swore to protect. 3. Disregard for due process in declaring his personal assets. 4. Abuse of office in the appointment of his friends and political sponsors as head of agencies. 5. Use of state instruments to pardon his criminal friends previous convicted. 6. Dictatorial impositions on Nigerian citizens without due process in the instances of removing fuel subsidy, and renaming Federal parastatals. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has also shown absolute incompetence in handling issues of national importance at the helm of affairs of this nation, with grave consequences. The conduct of President Jonathan is a violation of his Oath of Office, and his duties and obligations. Endeavour to commence the process of impeachment immediately, as there will be no hesitation to invoke Section 69 of 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on failure to perform this most exigent duty. It is a crime to publish fallacious, and especially malicious information about people. A lot of jobless individuals now claim to be "professional bloggers" with no other talent than spreading sensational stories which turn out to be false, simply because they want more hits on their blog, and thus, more money. It is very wrong to make money off other people by lying on them or by deceiving the general public that such people did what they in fact did not. Unfortunately successful and popular figures in society who have worked hard to make a name, are the victims of this new evil trend. It's a pity. |
