I've been supporting Enyimba for a decade now, and a lot of my friends do too. I wish their jersey would go back to design and manufacture by Adidas so I can acquire it. Please let's not tribalize this thread, as I've seen many attempts already. |
Class of 2005. The pioneers! Was here, still here, will be here. |
What's wrong with these girls?! If they show up topless, at least we can say yes it's an African event, and they wanted to go back to ancient African fashion, but not this. Even Karen Igho who doesn't have real breasts will come and exposed those plastic bags on here chest, later she'll resume the lies that she had cancer. *spits* |
I could hang out with Kunle Afolayan or Belinda Effah. |
@ItsModella Africans are now tending toward the Oyibo people's definition of beauty, or being pretty, which dictates that one must be very skinny. Hence the need to pick Genevieve over Jackie, under the supervision of the "Colonial Master". |
The real and most important issue here should be the price, and they have tactically evaded that issue. I wonder why. |
How much last? |
This is the jungle that British people left behind even in the then capital city of Lagos O! Later, some people will say It was the colonial slave-drivers that developed Nigeria. |
Why do you think these expensive private universities enjoy expelling students? They have a particular quota set by NUC, so when they expel old student who have paid fees for the full session, in order to make space for new students who are to pay more recently updated school fees: N1,500,000. My sister whose daughter was in this school quietly remove the girl after year one, and transferred her to Bells University. I would have preferred UNIBEN sef. |
This is strange for me, as I use the regular monthly BlackBerry Complete plan for up to 3 weeks (21 days) however, I subscribed for the 3 months BlackBerry Complete plan which cost N2,800 on the 18th of January, and as at yesterday the network was acting odd, and my credit stated getting consumed. I sent the code to check my balance, and it tells me that I'm currently Active on Airtel Complete BlackBerry Service, but It won't say how much data I have left. I've loaded N2,000 again, but I want to be sure of what is happening before I subscribe for a new plan. For now, I've switched off data. |
Somebody rated this video 7.5, and I really hope it is 7.5/1000. Aside from being the farthest thing from a singer, one thing this video goes to show is that Tonto Dikeh's acting is also crap! |
Yes, it's true. Mark Zuckerberg's card used to read "I'm CEO, Bitch" but it was back when he was running mad over the rise, and rise of Facebook. Remember back when you logged on to Nairaland, and what you see below the homepage was "Nairaland is the personal property of Seun Osewa, and he can do with it howsoever he wishes"? Well, that also is no more (though I believe he only moved it elsewhere). Well, I'll be making my "Bar Baric" complimentary card soon, and I sure will post it here. |
These people must be crazy. Ultimatum indeed! When the President didn't show up for Presidential debate, what did they do? The fact that GEJ is dull, it doesn't men everything in Nigeria must be done dully. |
Since The UK has helped us give Ibori a fair trial, and South Africa has helped us to give Henry Okah a fair trial, maybe our government is expecting Saudi Arabia to also mete out just punishment on this John Yakubu Yusuf fellow. |
Well, my suggestion is that you pay. The job of a "maga" is to pay, and you Mr PAYoski, are the maga in this situation, so I suggest you do the needful. Pay the N100,000 Deliverance Fee in order that you family may receive spiritual favour this 2013. God bless you as you give. |
Rick Ross is a liar! The whole thing was staged. Even Muhammed Ali would shoot at that oversized human specimen and not miss. This is absolute crap! |
This is the device that will seal the fate of RIM. The have fooled people for long enough. The networks are complaining that BlackBerry devices are alllowing users consume too much data, the users are complaining that with their BlackBerrys, they can't do as much as others can with other smartphones. The networks are also quite upset with the new WiFi voice capability, and there is Nokia retrieving several of their patents which they licensed RIM to use on its BlackBerry devices. In terms of its outward design, it's clearly an iPhone wannabe. My issue with the Blackberry 10 series though, is that they have not mentioned any significant improvements in their battery life, and that really is the bane of using a BlackBerry. Last year, they sacked 2,000 workers, but this year, I see RIM folding up. |
Airtel is not the worst network for browsing, that crown still belongs to MTN. However, good Airtel service is very location specific. In my house on Channels TV Avenue, around the Lagos/Ogun border, network is fairly okay, though it's mostly EDGE in my bedroom, and 3G in the parlour. When I get to the studio in Ojodu area though, Airtel is amazing. The advice to Airtel would be for them to maintain the uniformity of their 3G - 3.75G network, especially in all urban areas. |
Those are mes. Daytime, and Night.

I live on Channels TV Avenue in Isheri, the border area between Lagos and Ogun state. There is no light. Some evenings, they bring it for 2 hours, then later about 12 midnight to 6 am. Then most times, we don't have electricity at all for days. Meanwhile, at N12.4/kWh we spend more than N15,000/month on electricity. Some days ago, I recharged the units in the meter with N7,000 which I'm sure will not last till the end of the month. Unfortunately, GEJ met installed capacity of 6,000 MW, yet today, he's boasting of generating 4,500 MW which we are not seeing. But just wait 6 months to elections, they will release the light to us, then 6 months after elections, they will withhold it again to be used for the next elections. It really is a big shame.

Look at a real Nigerian leader. I watched this video some months ago, and I felt like burning the current Aso Rock occupant at the stake. Even as much as these people were so educated, the more they shunned opulence. Here is a picture of the Prime Minister with his children during his annual leave. See the simple life the man is living no better than any average Nigerian citizen of that era. By the way, Major Kaduna Nzeogwu did not kill Tafawa Balewa. It was Ifeajuna.

Well, I started business without any initial capital at all. Not a single dime. N100,000 may be little money to a lot of people, but believe me, if I started off with with such a sum of money 2 years ago, I would've been a millionaire by now. At a time in my life when I didn't have a single dime, I actually started off selling cars on Nairaland. I used to wait for my flatmate to come back from work, then when he's slept off, I'll use his BlackBerry all night to post cars I'd spent my entire day locating from far and wide, and also replying responses to my previous posts. Then the next day, after just 3 hours of sleep if any at all, I spent the whole day trekking the streets of Lagos, looking for great car deals. Well, after selling a few cars though, I decided to move to something more fast moving: brand new iPADs and BlackBerrys mostly, but including other electronic gadgets. Got some people in Computer Village who had trusted Okada men who would ride with me to any customer in Lagos and get paid. Had some Nairalanders who trusted me to deliver he best, with warranty, and some days I was making up to N10,000 per sale, and up to 2 sales per week. Well, a lot has happened since then, but these days, I make as little as N100,000 some months, and in my best days, I've made N200,000 as a Social Media Marketer. Yes, you read that right. Some nights, I made N200,000 managing the Social Media accounts of Nigeria's biggest brands during their mega events ( http://www.thediaryofabadman..co.uk/2013/01/bar-baric-digital-social-media.html ). I'm not rich yet though, I'm still working on that. But I'm far from poor, and I'm still coming up. This year, I'm targeting all the top brands in Nigeria, and my team, the UNA Collective (http://www.UNACollective.com), is setting up a Social Network of our own. For Nigerian youths, by Nigerian youths. Though I've also set up a blog ( http://www.TheDiaryOfABadMan..com ), but I stopped ADsense from it, so, I'm not one of those who will tell you that blogging is the million Naira secret. You have to spend hundreds of thousands of Naira to promote your blog daily if you intend to make millons of Naira off it monthly. I'm not ready for that kind of income and expenditure yet, but I will be. Plus, I'm shooting a movie next month. Diversifying is necessary. I want to personally face the challenges of the Nigerian entertainment industry, and conquer them. I'm going to start a clothing label, making only the kinds of clothes I'm comfortable in, as I know there are other people like me who're frustrated with skinny jeans and colour blocking. Finally, when I've made all the millions, I plan on writing a real practical get rich book out of my story. After all, I'm by birth, a writer, and that's where the billions start rolling in. So, what I'm saying to you my Nigerian youths, the main factors you need in your business are: 1. Intelligence: Gather knowledge on whatever business you're embarking on. 2. Perfection: Anyone who says that no one is perfect but God, is not of God. Perfect your skill. 3. Advertising/Marketing/Promotion: Make sure people know what you're doing. They say that "Doing business without advertising is like winking at a beautiful woman in the dark; you know what you're doing, but no one else does". 4: Love: Yes, that four letter word is necessary in business too. If you lack personal passion for what you do, when the hard times come, and the money stops, you'll be prone to giving up. Love, however, conquers all. 5.Coherence: Be organized in communicating your business ideas or offers. Personally, I speak Pidgin English all the time, except when I'm communicating business. I'm always shocked when musicians and actors want to discuss business with me, and their first statement of introduction is "Waddup". So fare thee well my fellow success-minded Nigerians, and make sure to buy my book when it comes out in 10 years time. |
This is nonsense! I thoughht the telecoms sector was deregulated? Why is NCC now fixing prices?! This is why I'm always alarmed when the government talks about deregulation, especially in the Power and Petroleum sectors. You can't deregulate, then come back to regulate prices. You have to leave that for the factors of demand and supply. The NCC should focus instead on ensuring that the networks fulfil all the set conditions which they agreed to while obtaining their license. They've still not reached the coverage area they set out achieve before 2007. The truth is that once supply of any good or service is adequate, or excessive compared to demand, the price will drop. |
Good news to all the career reality TV stars, it's another opportunity to participate in the biggest reality show in Africa. Big Brother is the only reality show I've come to know so far with no particular aim or purpose, but what do I know? It's still the hottest show on the continent. Several celebrities have been forged from the Big Brother House, and claims of millionaires too (sorry, I can't confirm those cash prizes). The fame is good enough though, as I am personally acquainted with a few persons who have filled the Big Brother Africa application form more than once. According to a statement from the organizers, Multichoice Africa, entry is open to persons over the age of 21, who are citizens of one of the participating countries and who either have a valid passport or will be able to obtain one by the end of March 2013. Entries opened on January 23rd and will close February 14th ( vals day). This year, entries are expected from 14 countries, namely Angola, Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe. It's all about alcohol, gossip, malice, sex, violence, greed, sloth; in fact, the seven deadly sins, and then some. To participate, in the madness, please, fill the online form here: http://bigbrotherafrica.dstv.com/Application.aspx

It is not money, it is not levels, it is not the grace of God. It is simply the tactical application of make-up. My fellow brothers, please, before you marry any woman, use your own hand to wash her face thoroughly, so that you can see her as she really is, or else, you'll just wake up one morning, look beside you, and call the police. |
It is so sad that most of these celebrities actually make videos these days with the intention of making a publicity sunt from getting banned by the NBC. Of recent, the NBC has resorted to advising musicians to re-edit their videos in order to make it more befitting, however, things are getting worse. The truth is that it's mostly those musicians who have nothing sensible to sing that turn to the option of nudity. My opinion though, is not for the NBC to ban, but to place a huge fine on broadcast stations. each vulgar word - N100,000 each scene of nudity - N200,000 Banning has always been the strategy of a lazy government. |
Is this the solution? So what if individuals go to buy Private Jets outside the country, and then fly it in? That of course cannot be defined as importation. Yet, the country will not receive import duties. This is rubbish, if at all it is true. |
The ignorant can still research on "The Original Semitic Emigration From Africa". In order to know more about themselves The ignorance here is too overwhelming for any enlightenment to take place. The level of unbelief here is like that which Jesus encountered in his own hometown. "And he did not do many mighty works there, because of their unbelief". Matthew 13:58 |
Everytime I see Africans brandishing their ignorance so glaringly, I realise how much work the Gentiles (Europeans/Oyibo) have put in to the propaganda of Europeanizing Jesus, God, and everyone else in the Bible. I have written extensively on this, especially on Nairaland, so I won't be writing much. Ask these Europeans where largest tribe of Israel, which they called 'Zebulun' is, they don't know. Yet, we have the Ozubulu people in Anambra state who were massively christianized during the missionary era. Ask King James descendants where Sodom, or Ghomorrah was before they were destroyed, they will be guessing, meanwhile, the Ghomorrais are in Bayelsa today. Tell them to show you where the people they call the Jebusites came from, they have no clue! But we know that in Ogun state, you have the Ijebus. The first thing that fail African youths is their failure to understand that Jews (descendants of judah) are just one tribe from the family of Israel, and Israelis, are just a section of the Hebrew nation. MOST IBOS ARE NOT DESCENDANTS OF JUDAH (JEWS), BUT A LOT OF THEM ARE FROM THE TRIBE OF ISRAEL, ESPECIALLY DESCENDANTS OF OZUBULU (ZEBULUN) AND OTHER FAMILIES AND TRIBES OF THE HEBREW NATION. The Jews, were a very migratory tribe amongst the the tribes of Israel, but other tribes of Israel, and also Hebrews were not. All the original Hebrews were Africans! In fact, the first time any member of the Hebrew nation ever left the African continent, it was when Moses split the Red Sea. He was leading the the Jews and some other accompanying members of the tribe of Israel to the Promised Land, which was a new place. He wasn't taking them back home to where Joseph and his brothers were born. A simple analysis to show this is that the tribes of Israel leaving Egypt had to cross a sea (meaning they were leaving the continent in which Egypt was). However, when Joseph's brothers were going to Egypt from their original land, did they ever cross any sea? No. They were originally from a land in the same continent as Egypt, between Cush and Nubia (modern Ethiopia and Sudan). Being migratory herdsmen, it iis clear that they must have journeyed from farther down the continent. I cry at the ignorance of the people who laugh at those associating Africans to the Original Jews. But then, I must commend the European propaganda machine. It's not easy for the Original uncircumcized Gentiles to convert themselves to the Modern Day Jews and Israelis, and then convert the Original Jews, Israelis, and Hebrews to the modern day heathens. Is it strange to find that a lot of African tribes practice similar traditions like circumcision, animal sacrifice, and age group ceremonies as described about the ancient Hebrews? Even today, Hollywood tries to show Ancient Egyptians as Arabs, yet the Arabs in Egypt confess that they came to the land of Egypt 700 years ago, during the Islamic Jihad, and wiped out almost all the entire Original African inhibitants of Egypt for their refusal to embrace Islam. Aside from that, anyone can go into the pyramids in Egypt, the paintings are on the wall: brown-skinned Egyptian masters, and also brown-skinned slaves. Therefore, if anyone says a queen from West Africa had a relationship with a king who was originally from Central Africa, it is most likely. |
When we say it cannot work, this is it not working. My father worked in the NRC for about a decade before he moved to the CBN, and I have a basic knowledge of the kind of level they are supposed to develop the rail system to, before they start making claims. They said N1,500 but now it's N1,900 - 2,900. I'm not saying it's too much, but get things up to standard before spreading propaganda. When they made claims on this railway thing, what I said was that people should go out and use it, then tell me how it went. Right now, the majority of people who tried to use the rail line from Lagos to Kano, and back could not. Please, it is not working. |
The Group A match between South Africa and Cape Verde kicks off the contest among sixteen of Africa's leading football playing nations which starts today, and and ends on February 10th. Please, don't ask me why Egypt is not there, but according to FIFA Rankings, the top ten African nations are: 1 Côte d'Ivoire 2 Algeria 3 Mali 4 Ghana 5 Zambia 6 Libya 7 Gabon 8 Central African Republic 9 Nigeria 10 Tunisia By virtue of this ranking, recent matches I've watched, and the general political and economic stability of the countries listed, it is safe to say the winner of this tournament is among Ivory Coast, Ghana, and Zambia. The host country, South Africa, and our own dearly beloved country Nigeria, have both shown little promise, so there's no way in Hell anyone will catch me supporting either. Alright, I welcome all of you. I've actually come across a couple of your blogs during my constant trek around cyberspace. My initial comment at 365NaijaNews was not at all to spite, but to ensure corrections would be made, and posts, especially on their blog can be proofread, or edited. I'm bound to errors too. I blog also. About life as experienced by me personally, or every idea, as opinionated by my outlook on life. I rarely post news items on my blog, except when I want to share my opinions on them. I blog on virtually anything you can think of, but especially on: Music Politics Art Fashion Movies Events You may visit http://www.thediaryofabadman..com (Diary Of A Bad Man), lately though, I've been more of a micro-blogger, and you'll see me on Twitter as @Bar_Baric ( http://www.twitter.com/Bar_Baric ). Also, alongside Ijebabe, I'm a moderator of the Nairaland Entertainment section, and we earnestly implore all bloggers to stick to the rules in posting stories. Thank you. |
