Go ahead. What has been ordained in heaven must come to pass. You are destined to have HIV, if it were not so, your girlfriend would not have been afflicted with the dreaded disease.

So there are now cases of HIV that are "not serious"?

I say carry on.

Well, that was about 2 years ago. She'll soon be 18 if not already, so go ahead now you bloody pervert!

I hope you all know that this is all guess work on the "maybes" of "a source" who could be anybody. There was no mention of even if the source was a CBN staff of a peanut seller. Article says at least 5 CEOs and our Nairaland topic says 4.

Anyway, that last week that seemed so far away is now here today. So let's see who the CEOs are.
Politics › Re: What's Our President Doing In Saudi Arabia? by nex(m): 7:52am On Sep 28, 2009
@mccloud224, $poone

I mentioned in my post that there is no country in the world today that generates most of its electricity from wind. I maintain there's none in existence. Most here means 51% and above.

I support the use of coal, but you should know that the discussion at the UN regarding global warming is also designed toward telling us not to use coal and the countries who have already engaged themselves in generating energy from coal should discuss how they would gradually end their dependence on it. That may take 50 years, or hundred years, but in that while we will be waiting for them in the dark.

I tell you, this shunning of the United Nations in preference of a school launch in Saudi Arabia is not as simple as it looks or as black-and-white as Reuben Abati paints it.

Look at the way that man even writes. He goes as far as to refer to Barrack Obama as "President Barrack Obama" and then the rest are Ghadaffi, Yar'Adua and Zuma. Even our own journalists have been subconsciously tutored from watching CNN, to see those nations as superior United Nations.

Before President Moumar Ghadafi spoke, the USA delegate got up and left the arena. Do you know that was a planned diplomatic insult. Now, do you know the kind of Diplomatic insult the USA had planned for the Nigerian President? You know of what they did to our ambassador. If the USA should hold President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua at the airport and told him to turn back returning to Nigeria, you know how damaging that would be? It is their country and the USA can do it. All they need to do is claim that there's some intelligence about a grave security threat on Yar'Adua then call it level 5 security threat and mention Code Red.

Let our president go to Saudi Arabia and launch a university. After all, Obama went to Saudi Arabia to bow to the King. All these are symbolic towards the real objectives of such visits. Oil control was actually why the president went to Saudi Arabia, university opening, a gesture.

@mccloud224

I thank you for your patience reading through my post.

My issue is foremost the United Nations and its agencies should be decentralized from New York and Switzerland so that the rest of us can feel like a part if at all we're really meant to be. Even Nigeria is not run as lopsidedly as the United Nations is. We're totally marginalized.

Now my friend, I'm sorry to say this, but Brazil is not the way you paint it. Brazil just like China may be called a 3rd world country, but It's among the richest countries in the world earning approximately 4 times the annual GDP of Nigeria. Brazil is the country that has made the most advancements in the production of biofuels and they have gone far in several industries including petroleum, auto and agriculture. If Yar'Adua goes there he may be trying to liaise with countries we can grow along with, not countries that continue to look down on us and find every opportunity to go behind our backs to stall our development.

I don't believe Yar'Adua is a good president, but the truth is that these countries that talk rubbish about him are in fact happy that Nigeria has such a president. Of all the African leaders and presidents Europe and America have done away with, which one was an evil dictator? Emperor Selassie or Patrice Lumumba?

Let's be real here, it has become too obvious that these people don't want our progress so what are we meeting for? What are we assembling for?

If not for anything but the Freisian landscape, I'd like to see fields of windmills stretching to touch the skyline along Benin-Ore expressway, but the truth is that there is no country that generates most of its electricity from wind or solar energy. Nuclear is the power for the world now. Cheap, dependable, abundant and we have the raw materials.

Resources are scarce and time is short, so this is not really the time for perambulating over issues of our future just to rub shoulders with the big boys.

Saudi does help keep crude price up.
Politics › Re: 1 Northerner Vs 99 Southerner = Nairaland Contribution by nex(m): 2:22pm On Sep 27, 2009
That was the truth.
Politics › Re: What's Our President Doing In Saudi Arabia? by nex(m): 2:16pm On Sep 27, 2009
I don't understand you people. Yar'Adua wants nuclear power for Nigeria, the UN is against it. So what is he there to discuss with them? Their interests and their progress? What about us.

Global Warming is something that can easily be discussed over the phone. By the way, It's about time we moved some of the United Nation offices closer by. I see no reason why we Africans will always have to travel to strange lands for United Nations Assemblies. What's so United about the Nations if some countries are being treated as real members and others as probationers?

We are not going to contribute billions of dollars to any Global Warming Fund. We have benefitted little or nothing from the globe being warmed up. Those that have should get themselves together and start solving that problem.

Discussing poverty everyday and nothing is being done. Promising promises that never yield fruit.

Yar'Adua didn't forget to go to New York, his flight did not mistakenly divert to Saudi Arabia. He is making a statement whether you accept it or not. He's putting an end to Nigeria's involvement in silly gum flapping that leads nowhere.

Reuben Abati should stop talking like a layman. If he'd watched District 9 at all, he wouldn't have called it Destiny 9. So because of District 9, Yar'Adua should go to New York to tell the world to stop cussing.

If the United Nations is not ready to discuss the modalities for a nuclear Nigeria, then Nigeria should not be interested in discussing whatever rubbish they take as pertinent to them.

Yar'Adua nor dey try. We know. But na like this we go dey dey?". How can we discuss Global Poverty and Terrorism when it is the same countries up there in the United Nations that sponsor wars which cause strife, hunger and suffering in Africa and South America.

If it was the USA President that rejected this invitation, you all will praise the move. Nigerians are a trouble to themselves.

They want our President to go negotiate how to send Nigerian soldiers to die for a war that the USA helped fuel.

What really do they want us to do about global warming? To vote a percentage of our National Revenue to a farce?
Politics › Re: Catherine Acholonu And Her Redefiniton Of The Biblical Adam! by nex(m): 6:25pm On Sep 20, 2009
Look at these clowns. If Oyibo man did research and said Adam was Russian, we'll readily agree. The truth is being told now and we're crying all over the place. The moral of the African has been so battered they they believe nothing can originate from them except evil.

By the way, the Arabs invaded Egypt during the spread of Islam about 700 AD so I don't know why some fellows argue that ancient Egyptians had Arab features.

We were here before anyone else whether we like it or not, It's the truth.

Bialegend, ignorance in its pure form is not really harmful. It is when a little intelligence is brought into the mix that makes people like you very, very dangerous.

Please download a map of the Biafran war path and even you will giggle when you see how far they went. Most of their so called invasions were just strips of roads they passed through. I'm sure when you become more informed, you will change your ID from Bialegend to Biafable.
Politics › Re: Can You Die For Nigeria? by nex(m): 11:55am On Sep 19, 2009
@Onlytruth

I'm really impressed with the way you can take any reasonable discussion and drag it to your level where you can make complete nonsense of everything and everyone.

How many people died in the Biafran war in total? Please, statistics and not "my father said".

You have to ask yourself if the Igbos did everything they could to win the war. Didn't they? But they didn't win the war still.

Were the Biafran soldiers taking Nigerian soldiers as prisoners of war? No. They were slaughtering them because Ojukwu had convinced them that the Nigerians were VANDALS. On the other hand, ask your father if the Nigerian Army did not take Biafran soldiers prisoners. In fact, ask Phillip Effiong and his colleagues.

The more dangerous and brutal army in the Biafran war was Ojukwu's which recruited lots of child soldiers because they know how easy it is to brainwash them and use them to unleash unhindered mass murder. The only good thing was that the Nigerian Army had superior firepower, training and personnel strength. If it were the Igbos, 20 million would have been dead.

OnlyTruth, I know your father did not fight in the Biafran war so all the stories he's told you which you are taking as the Only Truth you know today were cooked up in his sick head.

The day will come when you will die for Nigeria. When the enemy will come and you will realise they don't discriminate tribally, they're out for all. When Nigeria and all Nigerians are set for extermination, then you will know. You will know that the time for you to die for Nigeria has come.
Business › Re: New Naira Notes! Arabic Is The Reason? by nex(m): 10:43am On Sep 19, 2009
Someone made a simple assumption and everybody is crying Lion already.

I care less if there's Arabic or French on our currency, but if you call it a waste, then remember that Soludo is the champion of reprinting currency and he was the one who initiated this last reprinting just before he left office.

So what really is the problem again? I'd even prefer there be no language on the Naira notes after all, everybody may not understand English or Arabic, but everyone know mathematics and can understand the Arabic Numerals written on the notes.
Romance › Re: Can Internet Dating Really Work? by nex(m): 10:01am On Sep 18, 2009
Altogether, I must have met with more than 100 people I got to know via the net. Last weekend, I met 2.

I've dated about 3 girls whom I met online since 2001, and everything went quite well.

The problem is people don't know how to migrate from the internet to reality because they don't realise the internet is just a segment of real life. If you can meet your future partner in a bookshop or at a party or restaurant, I see no reason not to meet someone on the internet considering it has more visitors than any bookshop, party, restaurant, club or wedding in the world.

when you say your once NICE girlfriend has now become FAT, did you mean RUDE? Or she became fat and therefore rude? I don't understand you.

Do you know this girl's family well? If her mom or dad big? Does her body structure look big? If so, then she's just grown into the adult woman she was meant to be. If you know you can't handle big girls, then you better break up with her so that those of us with such preference would have access to what we crave.

This discussion is not for idiots. Please those of you who know that you IQ is double digit or less, just stay off.

Let me begin by saying that humanity originated in Africa and as Africans. Shem, Ham and Japheth were all Africans so I really don't know how Ham or Canaan could have been cursed to become African all over again. Please for those of you who have only heard rumours about the curse placed on Ham and his descendants, please, read the entire Genesis Chapter 9 and be rid of your ignorance.

The people who claim to be Jews today, are actually Germans who adopted Judaism in the 17th century and later grew to become the largest group of people who adopted Judaism in Europe so after Hitler they became entitled to Palestine.

Compile a list of about 100 surnames of Jews in Israel today and check for the origin of most of those names, you will find they are German.

The largest tribe of Jews as reported in the Bible are now claimed by these European impostors as "lost tribes of Israel" yet they are there; the Ozubulu.

Someone said the Jews are like the Fulani, nomadic, always moving from place to place. I ask : what Jews? What Fulani? There are several Jews but the Shephardic Jews roam around with animals, just like the nomadic Fulani trek their cattle. There are other Fulani groups who don't even know the first thing about cattle.

Anyway, it was written, my people perish for lack of knowledge.

Jews are originally from Africa and the largest group of jews in the world are a group in Nigeria called the Ozubulu. The most respected group of Jews in the world which is the only set of Jews which must produce Priests is the Eri which also are located in Nigeria.

@PTH, willywilly

Yes, I can die for Nigeria and more and more, I'm beginning to realize I'm ready.

I'm ready to die for Nigeria but it's those 150 million Nigerians that am not willing to do a thing for.

Most of you don't believe you can die for Nigeria because you've never had Nigeria taken away from you forcefully.

Go and find out what happened before the war for independence of the USA. Majority of the citizens said they'd rather continue serving the queen of England than stake their lives for that plantation of a nation. Well, what do we have today?

Fellow Nigerians, I will never die for you because your case is hopeless, but I'll prepared to die for my country.
