Romance › Re: Why Do Short Men Like To Date Tall Women? by nex(m): 6:46am On Oct 07, 2009
Perhaps cos opposites attract? I think I've written an article about this somewhere among the romance threads a couple of years ago.

They compliment each other.

These days, who really is a prostitute? I can because right now, all have sinned and fall short of the glory.

Romance › Re: If Another Guy Buys A Phone For Your Girl by nex(m): 2:06pm On Oct 01, 2009
I'll take the guy's own personal phone and smash it on the ground.

It's an insult. There was a case where a male friend gave my sister a car when she and her husband did not have one. Nothing has complicated her marriage more.
Politics › Re: Which Country would You Wish not to have been Born in? by nex(m): 1:55pm On Oct 01, 2009
I'd rather not be born in Bangladesh, Canada, Rwanda, Panama, Myanmar, Iceland, Israel, Palestine, Afghanistan and the USA.
Politics › Re: Will Nigeria Ever Accept A Female President? by nex(m): 4:12pm On Sep 29, 2009
Yes of course. If a woman worthy of that office who has done her homework, networked properly, and comes out under the PDP umbrella, she'll definitely become President.

The problem is that women will always pull down women, and it is in fact the men in Nigeria who have to burden of forcing women into office. All over the world, women must learn to cooperate and see themselves as capable and equal, if not even superior to men in running the state affairs in order for them to really step into world politics.

I don't believe there's a country in the world today which women dominate politics, so It's not really a Nigerian question.

Women worldwide have to make up their minds and take what's theirs. The men will soon get weary of leading them by the hand. How many Female State Governors are there in the world today? It just goes to show.
Politics › Re: How Can I Denounce My Nigerian Citizenship? by nex(m): 4:03pm On Sep 29, 2009
@babaearly

From your post, it is clear you have already denounced your Nigerian citizenship a million times.

However, to renounce your Nigerian citizenship, I suggest you get a lawyer and sign an affidavit at your local court in Nigeria then place an AD in a national paper declaring same.

If you're abroad, you do the same and send a copy to the Nigerian embassy in your country of residence, just make sure there's a printed AD in Nigerian national daily paper and one in the country of residence which will stand as evidence.

Good luck my brother and farewell.

Romance › Re: I Rely Like Dis Guy, But He Does Not Call. by nex(m): 4:12pm On Sep 28, 2009
@Ogamgil

I promise you that he's not doing that on purpose or to hurt you. Sometimes we just keep postponing or trying to think up the perfect thing to say and the perfect time.

I've got a someone to call, and even as am reading this I'm thinking okay, later in the evening when she's back from work, but that may extend till tomorrow morning, next thing you know It's been a week, a month or a year.

I think you should try texting. Every sane person know a text must be replied probably with a call even.
Politics › Re: Say No To Sony Products by nex(m): 3:48pm On Sep 28, 2009
Boycott Sony products, end of story. When someone is mentioning that our oil maybe boycotted by Japan, It's funny cos we're not an oil trading company. Japan can decide to refuse buying crude oil from Chevron or Shell. That's their business because it means more money for us anyway due to the scarcity they will go through, prices will go up.
Politics › Re: Federal Govt Please Stop Sony Entertainment. by nex(m): 3:32pm On Sep 28, 2009
@cripnip

until Japan can dig to find a teaspoon of crude oil on their land, they are as dependent as a spermatozoon in a testicle. So I don't know where you were headed with your logic.

@Black_Revo

you're waiting for what's next from Sony? You obviously have not watched Resident Evil DEGENERATION. In the opening montage they did put it that the Nigerian president has sworn to continue sponsoring terrorism.

I just pity those that don't know what's happening here, how we're being given a bad name for our imminent hanging.

@CGKing

there's not a single PlayStation console is being or has ever been pirated in Nigeria. We simple haven't advanced to that level yet. I'm sure you're one of those that know nothing about this country but just blame everything on it. It's either you don't know what a PlayStation console is, what Nigeria is, or even what counterfeiting means.
Politics › Re: Say No To Sony Products by nex(m): 2:57pm On Sep 28, 2009
You have seen Resident Evil DEGENERATION? The president who promised to sponsor terrorism worldwide was made to have an Arab but the still voiced that he was the president of Nigeria.

Who released it? Sony again. Really, there's no need for Sony to apologise since they didn't do all this by mistake. They have to be punished.

Boycott all Sony especially SonyEricsson products.

It's supposed to happen this week which was next week last week. Well, let's see it happen then. It will be very disappointing if Business Day has decided to become one of these soft sell papers that spin all sorts of stories from "sources".
Romance › Re: Your Duty As Someone's Boyfriend Or Girlfriend? by nex(m): 12:22pm On Sep 28, 2009
@Ujuoan

you have posted well. I had to read this because lately I doubt if I could be a good BF, but reading through your post, I realise I haven't been doing badly.

The recession has made it impossible to do much of #4 lately. I call though, and I text excessively. I text more cos messages can easily be stored and the memory lives on. I have an ex who saved all the romantic messages I sent her from back in college and they were still in her phone in my special folder from 2004 to 2008 when the phone was stolen.

The handyman part is my strength, only sometimes when I've just started going out with a girl, I pretend. Then when It's all those "what a man can do", I let them be the handywoman.
