@Ibime

you have said it that you are curt to people with dysfunctional thinking. I now understand your rabid attitude to people with functional thinking.

Today you will say Edo are not Niger Delta. Tomorrow you will say Itsekiri are not Niger Delta. Then after that You will say only Ijaw are Niger Delta. Divide and conquer that will lead to factions and defeat. Shey you have seen Bayelsa and Delta factions of MEND.

Go and be curt to your people with dysfunctional thinking.

We will not purchase that okrika AK47 from you for 300K. You lazy swine. No one for you to kidnap today? No pipeline to draw crude from? No NYSC girls for you to rape? No cult wars to fight?

thank you very much. Some people want Nigeria to disconnect every other city from the national grid, leaving only Lagos and Abuja so that we may have 24 hours electricity in those areas to boast of.

The money has come and the segregation has started. Today Boyloaf and his representative, Harry are not for MEND. Tomorrow, Gbomo Jomo and his representative are not for MEND because MEND already has proclaimed that Kofi Anan should be their representative.

Ibime, I have previously advised you about you rude nature of approaching users of Nairaland. This is now a warning. If you continue in your wayward manner, I will teach you a lesson. I am from the Niger Delta and I didn't ask any terrorist group to fight for me or to sell AK 47s at usury terms in the name of the struggle of my homeland. So don't come in here to tell me what is not.

First you say It's lazy press, then you add that it is Boyloaf and you'd claims It's also propaganda. Is everybody in the world just working against our own demise? The other day James Ibori was at a Delta state elders' council, and you people sat Ibru on the same table as that monkey. Deltans seem happy for what he did to them. Then look at Alamieseigha. Did MEND not freedom fight for that criminal to be released?

For you to tell me about who MEND is, it is the same as a horse telling a lion how meat tastes.

@RSA

you bloody Botha, I remember you. Are you trying to say Johannesburg is not the most dangerous city in the world?

When the Zulus and the Xhosa were slaughtering themselves like sacrificial lambs, where were the bodies lying? Not in the streets? When you Boers were showering the true south africans everyday with sprays of bullets, where were the bodies lying? In the streets of Canada?

I want you to clip your propaganda in your mouth and go somewhere else.

I will remind you of an MC who worked in a radio station in Rwanda during the genocide. He didn't know that spreading hate messages could carry a death sentence. Just to let you know that you too will be hanged once you're gotten hold of. You will be hanged so start thinking about what little time you have left till the noose tightens around your neck.

calculate the monetary cost of an operation to blow up an oil installation or the Atlas Cove, then subtract it from the N3 billion plus the price of 10,000 three bedroom flats.

It must be clear to all now that there are fewer whitey to kidnap and fewer functioning pipelines to bunker oil. MEND has decided to cut their losses before "market fall press them".

When Yar was dreaming up his 7 point agenda, he thought he could simply solve the power problem by going nuclear. However, he did not consider the political implications. If it there were no political and security issues attached with nuclear power production, we would have been able to produce more than 6,000 MW today. From what I know, there's a single nuclear power station in Japan that produces more that 7000 MW on its own. But Yar'Adua mentioned his nuclear plans and the world screamed so the man cowered.

I still believe if we want stable, dependable and sustainable electricity, we must say to hell with everyone else, "China come run this package".

Now, I don't know if the whole world will sit back and watch Ghana embark on production of nuclear power. I don't know.

Another thing that bothers me is that Nigeria still gives out electricity to some neighbouring countries at a subsidized rate. They also pay some of them extra money in millions of dollars. There's a reason for this. It's a very complicated reason, and though it was valid at the point when basically all our power was generated by the Kainji dam, but today we don't know why we do it.

By the time we withdraw the power we are "dashing" these countries and use it for ourselves, then withdraw the gas we're sending to Ghana and use it for our own gas power plants, we'll be able to come up with that 6,000 MW. Then if by or before 2015, we can resolve our nuclear issues, then we should be able to build at least three power plants producing 2,000MW each to add to that before 2020. Of course there's coal which is used all over the world except Nigeria.

We just have to keep our focus on Nuclear and Coal or else we're going nowhere. They're the cheapest sources of electricity today.

You may not be able to read, though you can type.

I asked you questions, you did not answer. Or do you have no answer?

The whole of Ghana you lie about is nothing more than Lagos state in Nigeria. If not for you British that came to carve up this continent, you would have been humble subjects of the Benin Empire today.

The thing that annoys you so much is that you turn on you radio, you hear Naija, switch on your TV, you see Naija, even when you dream, It's green white green. I can understand how hurtful that must be.

If you can read, tell the Nigerian that is helping you type that he or she should help you read the questions I posted and help you answer at least one correctly.

So you people believe Hillary Clinton is going to Congo because Congo is better than Nigeria abi?

I pray God would just rapture your spirit and exchange it with that of a Congolese. So that he becomes you and you become him.

You don't know about the USA's international relations. America does not like any country in the world, especially those coming up above others in their region. Have you never noticed that the USA would rather shower praises on India than China? They would rather encourage Argentina than Brazil and they prefer to smile at Britain than Germany. It is their way. They back the underdog.

Have you ever heard of the Chinese renting their clothes, wearing sackcloth and pouring ashes on their head when the USA refers to India as the largest democracy in the world? Why then do you want us to cry for another country's words and visitations.

South Korea, India, Britain, the USA only makes friends with those it can use. Our head too strong.

@Sagamite

believe me, Soludo minted coins for nothing. If he didn't, the coins would have been in regular use by Nigerians and not in some storehouses in the CBN headquarters.

Soludo also called for all banks in Nigeria to remove their ATMs from public places. Which I believe Sanusi is following up on.

During the consolidation of banks, Soludo advised banks to give out loans to the public to purchase their shares. Hence the stock market crash of today (remember, our stock market started to crash early 2008. Far before the global meltdown).

I don't trust in his intelligence.

@Martass

please can you mention some of the contributions of Ghana to the fight against apatheid?

At some point when the heat was on, Nigeria was a home to several freedom fighters including Thabo Mbeki who got an education here for virtually free. What in the did Ghana do?

When the Ghanaian economy was performing terribly, Nigeria allowed you all to come here and make a living, but when your economy started getting better and you refused to leave, we had to implement GHANA MUST GO. Even if you try to deny it, the Ghana-Must-Go bag still stands as a testimony till this very day.

Please, as you said many countries help South Africa during the fight against apatheid, mention what Ghana did.

Tell me what Ghana has done regarding the crisis that is going on in the Congo?

What did Ghana do when Zimbabwe was in a fix?

What did Ghana do when military rule entered Sao Tome?

What did Ghana do in Sierra Leone?

What did Ghana do in Liberia?

What is Ghana doing in Sudan?

What is Ghana going to do about tenure elongation in Niger?

In fact, does Ghana even do anything?

We have helped various African countries when they needed help the most and Ghana needed help in deciding what to do in the last elections so we appeared on the scene again.

Sagamite

I'm an economist, not by training but what I've learnt through self education.

To strengthen the Naira, the CBN has to review Nigeria's foreign reserves. Why have 43 billion in dollars when a large percent of our imports are now coming from China and also the EU? Why not have 50 billion yuan and 10 billion euros then the remainder about 20 billion in dollars. Why hinge our Naira on the dollar? If the dollar should collapse today, what happens?

I hope you see that as a solution.

Then everybody doing business in Nigeria should be paid in Naira, the only exemption should be when they import large quantities of raw materials.

Thirdly, which solution is very radical, is that Nigerian exports should be paid for in Naira. When there is a large quantity of foreign currency coming from abroad to change to Naira in order to buy crude oil, the value of the Naira will strengthen whether we like it or not. Whenever there is large demand for anything, the value automatically goes up.

Finally, the Nigerian Printing and Minting Company should be brought back to its full function. Imagine printing N20 note for $5 (N750), then estimate the number of billions of notes to be printed, you have to take out huge amounts of Naira, convert it to dollars, and finally go out to print notes that are 35 times less in value than what you printed them for. Each time you convert Naira to billions of dollars which is sent abroad for the acquisition of goods or services, the Naira depreciates. Sometimes the effect does not reflect instantly, but on the long run, it does.

I know my hood economics is not like what they teach Soludo and Sanusi in their fancy schools, but they make mistakes I never would. Like Charles going to mint coins for us with billions of dollar. That's just insane. Who uses coins in Nigeria?

the ibos call the yoruba cowards not because of Diya but because of people like Awolowo. A lot of them felt that the Yoruba would fight the Hausas during the civil war, but the Yorubas "cut liver" and subordinated to the bully.

Yoruba people naturally, love life too much. There is no principle in this world that Yoruba people will give their life up for. Even OBJ who is about the greatest Nigerian war hero, when Murtala Muhammed was killed, I heard OBJ conserved himself in an unknown location till the other officers begged him to come out and take the mantle of leadership.

There is some high degree of fallacy in this article. I thought sometime in April it was above N170 per dollar and Charles told the Senate that it was strategic.

Mention how, you're thanking God. Mention one real impact the USA has impacted your life. Or maybe they really have not. It's all about perception.

The USA has impacted my life by going to war in Iraq, the made the price of crude oil go up and the GDP per capita of the average Nigerian rose to above $2,000.

They have also impacted my life through E! That's the craziest channel in the world, and it has helped my research in discovering that human beings really evolved from wild animals not too long ago.

Yeah. They have also improved my sex life. The volume of pornographic movies that have been churned out from the USA has given me a wide scope of what to do in bed.

The USA reduced the spate of violent crimes in my vicinity by having enough citizens who paid criminals money for one advance fee fraud or the other.

Er, am I forgetting anything? Aha! How could I forget? The internet! The USA has impacted my life by allowing the whole world access what was once their private ARPANET and today I can chat with you and exchange ideas easily without even needing to know you.

I think that's all. I don't feel like mentioning the negative impact the USA has had on my life.

I don't know how these people think this amnesty thing is done.

There's nothing like amnesty "package". Amnesty simply means we'll completely disregard your fuçk up, get out of sight and don't do it again.

There are no conditions attached either from the granter or recipient.

How can someone ask you to attach N3 billion to the forgiveness you're giving them.

The problem though is that the people of the Niger Delta whom MEND has gracefully excluded from any benefit coming to the Niger Delta will never open their eyes.

Where's Jakumo?!

I love Asians as friends and family, but in terms of relationship, I don't think they have the right physical features to keep my attention.

One thing I've found though is that out of a billion Chinese, there are always some that look different. We used to think chinese were short, but there came Yao Ming.

The thing is that the Chinese have not spent enough time with Africans to understand them enough to know the kind of relationship to share with us.

The Chinese have spent more than a century with Americans and Arabs yet they're still not mixing up well. So just need to give them time; plenty of time.

Could it be that the words you use in your post mean other things to the rest of the world than they mean to you?

While criticizing this contract, you have stated that you're you're suspicious of the thing. You even went as far as reproducing all you previous posts where those views are clearly stated and yet you seek answers which are within your own posts.

I mostly browse Nairaland via wap therefore cannot quote or highlight your statements, but please read all of your previous post to be sure of what you said and why everyone on Nairaland is strangely attributing various meanings to your posts. Then again, I'd like you to always re-read your posts carefully to be sure what meaning they construe before you move your mouse to: click once, then wait.

Hmmm, they may be Swedish, considering the fact that there are a lot of Swedish militants kidnapping in the Niger Delta?

Brilliant point. I am particularly suspecting some Argentinian militants that recently joined ranks with MEND to fight against marginalization of foreign workers by Nigerian Multinational Companies. Kai! I just remembered. It's the Greeks. Bloody pirates they are. They've been sailing off the coast of Nigeria since the medieval times.
