EducationRe: Great Engineers..i Need Advice Pls.. by Ngasky(m): 12:45pm On Mar 05, 2015
You are currenly taking technology courses. You will start Engineering in level 300.
The good news is you can change department now. But the issue is why did you want to dump mech?
Generally if you cant cope with mech you cant cope with any other Engineering.
If you are very good in mathematics/advance calculus ill advice you join Electrical/Electronics but if you are good in theorotical analysis and background go for Civil.
Just concentrate on your studies you will make it, Engineering is very tough but rewarding profession

In terms of lawmakers’ salaries as a ratio of GDP per capita, the gap is even much wider. While the salary of a Nigerian lawmaker is 116 times the country’s GDP per person, that of a British member of parliament is just 2.7 times.
The average salary of Nigerian worker based on the national minimum wage is N18,000.00, So, the yearly salary is N18,000.00 x 12 = N216,000.00 ($1,333.00)
Remember, Yearly Salary of Nigerian Senator = $2,183,685.00.
Proportion: $2,183,685.00/$1,333.00 = 1,638
It will take an average Nigerian worker 1,638 years to earn the yearly salary of a Nigerian Senator.

They were actually never interested in Nigeria. UK cannot release information and US cld not sell arms to the govt to fight bokoharam. Any justification really? Know your friends... they said a friend in need is a friend indeed!

Even though releasing the report would implicate Buhari, for the interest of the greater Nigeria, it shd be released.
if it is buhari UK Would have released the report to indict him. UK will prefer Jonah than Buhari. No foreign power want to have a real NATIONALIST as a head of government. Becouse he will protect the interest of his people.
I believe the issue of NE The militants are involved. Can you remember the bombing of 1st october, 2010?
And what Jonah try to do with it to implicate IBB?

Where are those celebrating the FOI Bill.
What bothers me is why are the foreign countries treating the issue of this insurgency in tactically uncommitted way?.
This remind me of a live interview more than a decade before on NTA between GM of then NTA Dr. Tony Iredia and the former Nigerian High Commisioner to UK Alhaji Abubakar Alhaji whereby Tony asks a certain question and Alhaji replies "Tony you and I knows that there are things we know that Nigerians dont know. And if we should divulge these In the next 12 hours civil war will begin in Nigeria".
This BH there is more to it than the government willing to acknowledge

I support the idea of dissociating religion/ethnicity from politics/governance.
Nigeria can never be a homogenious state in terms of religion or ethnicity. All we should look upto is good governance and who can deliver it.
PoliticsRe: Declining Economy: I Still Have 1983 Magic —buhari by Ngasky(m):
Lets keep politics aside. Can Anybody (saTANs included) tell us the direction of our economy?
Even to the common man without any knowledge of economy on the street knows things are going bad without any hope in sight.
To the economic intellectuals even the (un)Ngozi's [(un)blessing's] paper economics is in tatters. She claims that the economy is improving on paper and the same paper shows that;
*Naira is taking a plunge ($1>210 naira).
*Dwindling foreign reserve.
*Increase in both foreign & local debt.
*Lack of investors.
*Increase in personal expenses (inflation).
*Unemployment figure increasing in geometric progression.
Pls. Can any proff. of Economics tell me any one from above that means moving forward as a nation?. I am craving to learn macro Economics.

Underestimatehuh
Nobody underestimates rebellion no matter how small it seems.
I thought thats what Borno State Governor tells the presidency when he visited Aso rock on which instead of helping the troops at the frontline the presidency resorted to personal attack on him, saying he dont know anything about military on the shameless NTA Network.
**Congratulations NTA personnel. Update your CV's and get into option B status. NTA is going to be fully privatised as a parting thank you for your campaign of calumny from GEJ cabinet. 1 more institution to add to the labour market**

the last time I checked the police is a federal institution. The state police have been rejected. Tell me if state government controls police where will AIG Mbu be? The cases treated by DPP are mostly civil cases they have limitation on criminal cases. Even when the DPP is prosecuting he relies on the police for interrogation and investigation. Indirectly tying the hands of the prosecutor. Henceforth the power remains with the FG

The Nigerian troops was known as among the best 5 ground troops in the world. But were only disgraced by a ragtag rebel combatants becouse becouse of the corruption which lead to the rot we have in the army. 10 years back I can swear that our troops can never be intimidated by any country especially in Africa.
I weep for our troops, but enough is enough. We will rise again.

at OAU, you don't have to do PGD but you will offer some basic engineering courses and might spend more session and you will have the same opportunity as any MSC chem engine with bachelor in chem engr will have
thats the PGD in engineering without giving you the PG Cert. It is just like the M.Phil ie going to Ph.D without collecting your Masters

Unfortunately you have to go for Bachelor Degree in engineering if you really want to be an Engineer. DE means Direct Entry.
Having first degree the choice is between going back for another degree or proceeding with masters in Chemistry. Take note even if you have M. Eng and Ph.D In Engineering you cant be an engineer many students make that kind of mistake and realise this very late.
EducationRe: Can A Chemistry Graudate Do His Post Graduate Studies In Chemical Engineering by Ngasky(m): 4:26pm On Feb 03, 2015
It is not University that gives the licence or permission to be an Engineer. They only give you a B. Eng degree. But to be a certified Engineer with the title and everything thats the responsibility of COREN. And the basic requirement is bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Most HND Holders claim to be Engineers but actually they were certified as Technologist not Engineers
