abouzaid:this shows your lack of knowledge in Engineering. If Nuclear plant is going to be cited in Nigeria Lagos will be the least probable site location for many reasons. I can assure you the chinese or russians can finish the plant in less than 3 years. Why? Europeans when working tend to have lower working hours/day, weekend, breaks, resting periods, lower number of laborers while chinese mostly work in shifts (24 hrs/day), can forfeit weekends, holidays if they are really pressed and also take large number of laborers for the shifts and speed. Save your breath about standards we have nuclear power plants built by both Chinese and western countries all over the world go and check statistics of Nuclear power plants mishaps and see who have lower mishaps chinese or europeans. And before you jump at fukoshima, it is an american/japanese design and construction. Engineering is not politics |
abouzaid:what a shame such illiterates analysis. You dont need more than 8 power plants of just 2500 MWatts to achieve that. And 2500 Mw plant is not even a major big power plant. Infact with just 2 nuclear power plants 20000Mw can be achieved. With $10 billion you can build an 8000-12000 Mw power plant. So with just $20 billion NNPC Unremitted funds power will be stable. Your only weapon which you are ignorant of is the timeframe of 4 years. I gave you that for free. Nuclear power plants takes an average of 5-7 years to complete but thanks to chinese and russians you can have accelarated construction. Thank god Nigeria has the technology and are already enriching uranium since 2006 at the nuclear research institute and we have already built an reactor in 2006 under Prof Shamsuddeen. Even the IAEA were here when the reactor was lunched. During OBJ's regime a contract has already been awarded but was cancelled by Yar'adua/Jonathan regime. All GMB have to do is pursue this. It is only nuclear that can give such lump of MWat in one plant. All developed countries of the world use Nuclear plant for base load. Solar, wind can never give us the desired result. Hydro have limitations currently the only major hydro power plant possible in the country Mambilla thats all and cannot give us desired result. Gas plants we need atleast 8 plants and then we will face the problem of gas transportation due to pipeline vandalisation which is the major dilenma we are currently facing. So Op which analysis gave you 30,000 power plants? Even USA with their population, land area, industries doesnt have 200 power plants all over the country. All Nigeria needs is 4-5 Nuclear power plants to attain 50000Mw status which is more than what we need. And we have the uranium here in Nigeria no need for importing the nuclear fuel. The excess Mwatts can be a source of income by selling it to Niger republic, Ghana, Togo, and other west african states. THIS IS FEASIBLE TECHNOLOGICAL AND ECONOMICALLY |
Ride on Mr. President |
Good and simple analysis. Remember the PTF Program the economic prophets of doom both local and international wrote it off as a failed embarked policy at inception. But Nigerians knows better after the program was rounded up. Even the international doom sayers had to admit to the success of the program even without any foreign lending. And who is in charge? With the op analysis it is possible to achieve the goals. Even the outgoing govt has the resources to do this but the biggest undoing factor of JEG's failure is STEALING (sorry thats not corruption and cant sack becouse of stealing according to ...) I believe with all achieved 65-75% of Nigerias income/budget was stolen, thats only 25-35% was utilised. Imaging utilising 90-95% what will be the situation on ground? If GMB Can fight stealing/corruption Nigeria will be the best destination in Africa in 2 years time. |
It is not the court martial that ginger the military to engage the terrorists. It is thanks to success of neighboring countries especially Chad in routing out the renegade fighters. As to the pilot issue did you know that the bush terrain is not actually deserted terrain? Hundred of thousands of civillians are living there. So how did you know they are terrorists praying? Let me tell you the terrorists will never congregate into large numbers to pray they are not fools. The basic rule of guerilla warfare is to spread to reduce casualty. Even when they are video taping their military prowes did you notice that they are very few personnels in the video usually less than 100. The secret of their support and recruitment is the level of civillian collateral damage by the Nig. Army. The rise of civillian vigilantee is the main motive behind the downfall of Boko haram, ask any troop the civillians are in the forefront of the battle even though they dont have weapons but what they have is the mysterious bullet repellant. Theres a case of an officer shooting head of vigilante 4 times in Adamawa but could not penetrate and he ran away. Now ask these question the vigilante have only dane guns, knives, swords and sticks while BH Have all the modern guns but how many vigilante were killed in action compared to missions they partake. Any confirmed number? On the issue of politics who won an election while sponsoring or supporting BH? Nobody can have a vote from affected northern civillians. This is the north elections were held all over the states. Unlike a certain areas where results were written without any election. In 2011 there is election violence in one or two states in the north and some in the south but the news is Violence in the North in 2015 violence in the south nobody is saying anything. Life is life none is better than other. If this is the north all media houses will be castigating North by this time |
The Igbos are politically naive. They should have planned ahead and make sure they calculate the political entity and as Rochas said diversify their politics against Jealousy and ethnic hatred. Lets look at the outgoing government which part of the country benefits most? NORTH. All the first 5 positions only 1 is from the south President=South Vice Pres=North Senate Pres=North Speaker=North Chief Judge=North This is not a good system I believe we have good personalities from all zones of the country. Apart from these we (North) rejects PDP. But we are smart to allow some pockets of PDP as an insurance policy, Now a senate president or house speaker cant go to the SE atleast within the next 4 years. WHY? No single Senator or Member in the majority chamber. As it is currently it will take atleast 8-12 years of active vigorous planning and zone alianing to have a president of Nigeria from SE. I personally hate zoning but thats collateral dispensation in Nigeria's politics. The SE Should put their house in order and plan for the future and also drop Jealousy and hatered of other zones. |

Firefire are you going soft? Sanity is returning to NIGERIA |
Barca how market? Jonah and PDP are goners. Decamping to APC is not going to make them strong party members. They met a complete house and have to live according to landlord's wish |

shachris:actually Kano have more than 4.5 million registered voters of which just above 2 million actually voted ie less than 50% turnout likewise katsina just less than 70% turnout. What is the %tage turnout of Akwa Ibom, Rivers, Bayelsa & Anambra? |
Politics is a game of longsightednes and advance preparation. The SE fail to learn this over the decades. They are always pulling their best shots at presidency down by themselves. Today who did they have that they can forwar to the nation to be voted into presidency? And they always complain of marginalisation |
Too Late |
The masses have spoken. Now that GMB is the president-elect it doesnt mean he have much to celebrate because he have a lot of challenges ahead just as he aptly says at the chatam house interview session in UK that the youths are not going to be patience or accept any excuse of economic challenges or bureucracy, all they know is he have to deliver. And that is exactly correct. I am an ardent supporter of the General since 2003, but that doesn't mean i am going to be an persistant supporter anymore my support is going to be conditional ie based on his performance in office. If he fails I wouldn't hesitate to change my support to any other candidate that can succeed. From now on the politicians will never take the masses for granted. Perform or have yourself kicked out of office. The major challenges ahead for the General are: 1. Security all over the nation. 2. Corruption. 3. Dwindling federal revenue/economy. 4. Utilities (ELECTRICITY, transportation, water supply ). 5. Job creation. Any failure in one of the above 5 points will make Nigerians abandon him for another candidate in 4 years time. |
What a shame |
Actually they dont exist. In the whole kebbi state there is none. Sokoto i heard a rumour that there is one opposite state politechnic (but when i visited the place I found out it is a conventional primary school). Zamfara none. Niger none. Kano heard rumour of one but nobody can point out the school to my knowledge. Kaduna none. These are the states that I personally visit to check out such schools for research. Pls. We need enlightenment of these schools adresses. Contributions were highly appreciated |
The nation of fools. If somebody that fail deserve the second shot. What about the person that succeeded what did he deserve? |
johnydon22:simple question what is the politically correct age of marriage? |
truthman2012:None of the above quotation exist. Be reasonable the Op raised a question that he believe beats imagination and want enlightenment nothing wrong with that but what about you? If you want to contribute do a reasonable research |
johnydon22:morality doesnt mean the same thing to all cultures or nationality. The issue of marriage is different from community to community. Or are you telling me your parents and g/parents are immoral? Even in the England and European royal houses they used to do the same thing. Does that mean immoral? Nowadays things are changing. On the moral issue do you belive nature is immoral by making girls to reach puberty early? What age is the right age to marry on your conscience and remember to change nature to suit that age. It is just like the sunrise to sunset which is 7 am to 7pm in Nigeria but can be 5am to 10pm in london in certain season |
No he married her at 6 and taken to her matrimony home at 9. And that does not mean he slept with her at that time. In Islam There are things that a wife must know before having sex with her husband. Also It is forbidden to have sex with a girl that did not start mensturating. Can a 9 years old girl mensturate? Most girls start mensturation at 13-15 years. |
Coming home to roast. Such crises are expected in such militant terrorist agenda |
The incoming President GMB |
buharisambisada:I believe you are not in any of those states. Take note that no PDP governorship candidate in the North ever call the name of GEJ In his personal campaign. Some even went as far as declaring Nigeria=GMB And State=themselves. There is this experience that I withness personally: an outgoing sitting PDP governor walking with an PDP Gov. aspirants, and PDP party executives in the state. The party chairman was complaining that the Governor should release funds for campaigning. The Governor turn around face them and says " Any one among you that is confident that he can deliver his ward to PDP In the coming pres. Election should come and meet me to collect campaign funds". And they all laugh and say 'it is not like that your excellency' |
The only states PDP can hope for from the whole North central are Plateu and Benue. In Plateu it is not going to be easy ride for GEJ The only place that may ba backing him is Benue. Kogi, Nasarawa, Taraba, Niger, Kwara are all comfortable APC strongholds. The issue is how many states in the South will go for PDP? |
Lets hope not true |
Hilarious |
