I'm 'pleased' to announce to you that we have derailed the thread and from the influx of people in the thread lately, I can say that most people are coming in hoping the posts in the thread are testimonies of the wonderful work of your experiment lol.. |

jeloser, I like the idea u put forth though....it got me thinking of the possibility of using static electricity for good uses though I don't see it making much economic sense as Friction as we know causes heat and wears...its possible though and with good materials for rubbing, voltage regulator, polarity check adequate current stepped up etc...its gonna work though with great monetary input and cooling system lol |
Phones / Re: Hot- How To Charge Your Battery When There Is No Light by niceeric(m): 12:20am On Apr 25, 2016 |
jeloser: triboelectric charging is same phenomenon as static electricity, while you might get enough voltage to charge your battery( uncontrollable voltage though with your biro cover and hair 'experiment'), how do u get enough current to flow? secondly, no battery would charge with just the positive terminal connected to the charging circuit....ill also want to know how you'll determine the polarity of your charge since different materials produce different static charge polarities. there are static generators that do more than rubbing of biro cover to fur though as they are made to produce controlled continuous power using carefully selected materials rubbing against one another BUT your unipolar biro to hair or fur experiment won't charge any battery ma'am 8 Likes |

so u think static electricity would charge a battery that needs nothing less than a 5v and at least 0.8A source to charge??.....and using an insulator as a capacitor or charge 'holder'?? How intelligent... 9 Likes 2 Shares |

MissMercedes:Ha!!! 10 years of driving shoeless!....now there's a problem!...you have to unlearn that habit and start using shoes (with flat soles of course) in driving. sometimes, feet get sweaty and tend to slip away from pedals,I don't want to imagine one losing grip of one's brake pad at the time one needs it most because of a sweaty foot. 3 Likes |

I take it that the OP is new to driving......I also had thesame 'problem' early in my driving days. I couldn't dare drive with shoes on as I felt I wouldn't b able to control the car without my bare feet working the pedals, anything in between was gonna result in an epic fail I thought....things changed as time went by though and I can drive even with heels(I be guy o) or high tops (Abi wetin dem dey call am) now 11 Likes |

I'm assuming I'm car 2., car 1 goes first, then car 3 then once my path is clear I move on as car 2.... But on street levels, if I'm car 2, while flashing my headlamps, I watch to make sure car 3 isn't trying to move, car 1 too I'm sure would av almost reached half of the road so I'll speedily manoeuvre and move around car 1, stretch forth my arms to car 3 to b smart and not allow devil tempt him to move and I zoom off...that saves time really |
Politics / Re: Top Benefits Of Buhari's Foreign Trips Thus Far by niceeric(m): 2:42pm On Apr 04, 2016 |
China has always had relations with Nigeria....the rail projects proposals started as far back as Obasanjo's tenure as the President. US stopped oil business with us and made sure they crumbled our economy so as to put the last administration to death which they did successfully and put their candidate of choice-Baba in power..so what is the big deal in reversing their earlier decision on our oil, they are only undoing what they did, simple logic BUT we all know America would give 2 to take 20...they 'help' oil rich nations for themselves and like the devil, give nothing for free Air deal between two countries with one not having a national carrier...who he go come pay in the end?? I'm no wailer, neither a 'change' agent but I speak the truth!!...the current government has its priorities wrongly arranged. 1 Like 1 Share |

As for me, if piss hold me sotey I no fit hold am again, I will simply park at one service stop on the bridge, move to the side of my car and piss freeeely into the Lagoon!!! the fishes would sure love it, the Lagoon itself would...I'll only watch out not to cause a short artificial rain for my ilaje bros that fish in d lagoon and save regular 'suicide divers'...great dudes they are! and as I said once in a thread, if you're not in Lagos or a frequent visitor, STAY OFF THIRD MAINLAND BRIDGE TOPICS!!!.....you just won't get it!!...some dude talked about bushes on then around (could later b above) the bridge lol |
Politics / Re: PDP Mocks Dolapo Osinbajo For Agatu Visit & Donating Only 8 Bags Of Rice by niceeric(m): 8:49pm On Mar 31, 2016 |
I wonder when PDP would start criticising constructively and stop misleading already gullible Nigerians. They intentionally painted the Presidential Jet usage as frivolous when it's obvious that Benue has no airport but just an airforce base that would never allow commercial jets talkless planes to land. I guess PDP felt travelling the treacherous Abuja to Benue journey by road with the relief materials would have been safer and cost effective. She went to drop relief materials(gifts), it's never ever right to complain about gifts no matter how small, that's lack of courtesy....very very bad as its not her duty but the Federal Government's to provide for camps. That said, I do not support the ruling party save for my support for continuity in Lagos ALONE and I've never been a PDP supporter but the truth is all I stand for. 1 Like |

simple, Enoch WALKED with the Lord and he wasn't seen anymore, in no place in the Bible is it written that he ascended Elijah was TRANSPORTED in a burning chariot (not his own doing)- it's like having a free ride in a car which isn't yours to your workplace you can't take glory of facilitating your movement to work after that But Jesus Christ ascended without any chariot, no disappearance as His disciples and some other people saw Him slowly, miraculously, fantastically disprove the law of gravity on earth by ascending unaided to heaven. I hope you get the difference in the 3 scenarios. 1 Like |

For Christ's sake, non residents of Lagos and people who live in Lagos but don't ply the Third Mainland Bridge should not bother making comments on this thread!!!...most replies here are sickening!! the 3MB has no bus stop, its surrounded by the lagoon, has service stops only at designated points and from the design of the Bridge, it allows NO pedestrian movement...if you're on the 3MB walking, you are either trying to commit suicide or robbery(which would also end in suicide) unless you're at one of its service stops with a faulty car. Every driver knows that your car must be at its best behaviour on that bridge cos even a sudden engine failure that makes ur speed drop suddenly can cause drivers following u closely to ram into you....the 3MB isn't a regular highway! 3 Likes 1 Share |
