Obasanjo didn't start the railway.

Obasanjo signed a contract for for Lagos-Kano railway. Yar Adua came and cancelled it. The Abuja Kaduna rail was started and finished by the Jonathan government. A totally different funding arrangement was put in place. OBJ had nothing to do with it. Not a single brick was laid by OBJ. Same funny way not a single brick was laid by Buhari but he glowingly tried to take credit for it.

Now imagine Osibanjo just started off the construction of Lagos Ibadan Railway yesterday. Then he completes it by 2018 and people start telling us to give Jonathan the credit? Wouldn't that be ridiculous?

It is important that credit is given to whom it is due to encourage continuity of projects.

I wish Osibanjo can build on these Jonathan's legacies and let's see trains cross crossing the length and breadth of Nigeria.

I used this train from Abuja to Kaduna and I was beyond impressed at the work that went in there.

The trains are top class. But I think it was slow for my liking. It took us 2 hrs to Kaduna.
I have entered trains overseas that run 300km per hr and I think any new trains we build should be looking at such speeds.

But once again Kudos. Jonathan did a great job there.

@op, i actually chose not to quote you cause you are not worth the extra 2 seconds. I don't have any affiliation with the Apostle, i've never been to his church, don't even know them, but you should be a bit mature in your assertions, even if obviously, you talk like a child. Has it been proven that he's guilty? Have we seen the end of the whole drama? Have you not been abreast with happenings in the country in the last few months, as regards the Apostle's agitation with the government? Any before you cry foul, I am a christian and i am more against most Nigerian pastors and their antics than you'll ever be. But let's reason and be objective na... A High court has sentenced former governor, Bala Ngilari to five years in prison.

The presiding judge, Justice Nathan Musa convicted Nggilari on five corruption charges against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).



The EFCC had arraigned Ngilari, his Secretary to the Government, Ibrahim Weyle and the Commissioner of Finance, Sanda Lamurde for violating due process for purchase of 25 Toyota Hilux trucks costing N167.8 million while they were in office.

Justice Musa said the governor refused to follow the provisions of the Procurement Act in respect of the contract for purchase of the 25 vehicles.

The court however discharged and acquitted the other two defendants, Weyle and Lamurde who were arraigned alonside the former governor.

The judge warned state governors against abuse of due process in the conduct of government business, saying the judgement would serve as lesson to governors who run as personal estate.

Ngilari served as deputy governor to former governor Murtala for seven years until. Impeachment of Nyako in July 2014 by the state Assembly which also saw him resigning to avoid impeachment alongside his boss.

Ngilari became governor following a court ruling that annulled his resignation as improper and returned him as substantive governor to complete the remaining seven months on Nyako's tenure.He served between October 2014 and May 2015.
