Religion / Re: What People Need To Know About Tb Joshua And His Ministry by niddamugu(m): 6:19pm On Mar 01, 2012
mikeapollo:

Please, in response to your questions, can you please tell me the mentors of:
1. Moses
2.Elijah
3.John The Baptist
4.Jeremiah
5.Daniel

, You are talking as if God must always use another man to mentor His prophet before He can annoint and commission the prophet for His work and Glory. The same reason the Pharisees rejected Jesus because they did not know how He started or got His commission from.

God uses His prophets in different ways for different purposes at times.
When God wants to mould and use you in a special way for His Glory alone, He would bring you out of the mud, clean you up and make you what he wants you to be. Why do you think TB Joshua was not able to achieve all his human aspirations as a young boy, even though he was brilliant in school? God made it so, so that He alone could take the glory, and not share it with any mentor that could corrupt His glory

Thank you very much at least it shows you have (little?) knowledge of the scriptures. These men you quoted were from the bible of which we all look into for our inspiration.

1.Moses - specific call from God by the burning bush. Read Exo. 2v7-22; Exo.3v1-6; Acts 7v31-35
2. Elijah - Same 1 Kgs. 17v1 and he gave (spiritual) birth to Elisha - 1 Kgs. 19v19
3.John The Baptist - Jesus stated his identity clearly Read Matt. 11v4; Luk 1v13
4.Jeremiah - Called by God from his mother's womb. Read Jer. 1v5
5.Daniel - Read Dan.1v17-20

All these were accounted for and recorded in the Book.

Even Jesus, it was written about him that the Holy Spirit inspired (mentored) him and he also read from the same scriptures - Isa. 61v1-2; Luke 4v18-19. I am not judging TB but I cannot help but ask the same question: who mentored him? Who is his (spiritual) father? Keeping in mind that "manna" stopped falling from heaven.

I play games everyday but should that be a thread? That's where I'm coming from.

How old are you sir? There are more pressing issues to discuss than playing games,

Indifferent
Yea same here.

But can somebody tell us who his mentors are?
Who gave (spiritual) birth to him?
Who are his brethren? (from the same spiritual father)
Where are they?

We know Oritsejafor, Omobude, Oyedepo, even (controversial) Oyakhilome and the likes - children of Idahosa (blessed memory)
Baba Adeboye - Late Pa Akindayomi (Founder of RCCG)
Oyedepo (Winners) - Directly ordained by Baba Adeboye (RCCG)
Idahosa (blessed memory) - Mentored by Pastor Okpo (most likely from Assemblies of God Church), Oral Roberts, T. L. Osborn
Tunde Bakare - from Kumuyi (Deeper Life)
Daniel Olukoya (MFM) - from CAC (Ayo Babalola)
All these are subject to verification and confirmation. But where do we place TB Joshua?

In all these, I still remain indifferent - only time would reveal the truth - Acts 5v34-39
Politics / Re: Ibori's Mug Shot Is A Big Dent To His Family. by niddamugu(m): 2:29pm On Mar 01, 2012
I'm really surprised that our responses on today's topics have been very shallow. What we need to get clear is that:
1. there is no money marked "stolen"
2. there is also no money that stinks
3. in actual fact we have only humans who are stinkingly rich

For Ibori's case, he needed to plead guilty for the following reasons:
1. to shorten the trial so that he can come home to enjoy "his" money
2. to serve the sentence since it is likely to be short (remember Tafa Balogun) and then come home to enjoy "his" money
3. to ensure conclusion while his "cousin"(Gov) is in office because the way he sees the next naija politics, a lot of changes are imminent
4. with the massive loot at his disposal, he can play the "DON" of delta politics which had been the style in the past.

An interesting case for GEJ and the entire executive arm of Government.

Good riddance to bad rubbish! If he can be well suited to sell plantains then he must be making plenty of money. I don't pity him one bit. He is only enjoying his money. Meanwhile, what is the guarantee that this guy is a graduate? What is the picture says is simply "a well-dressed man with a tray full of plantains on his head" and not "a graduate hawking plantain in suit". I believe this site is for intellectuals and not miscreants.

Religion / Re: self-service Controversy: Pastors Blast Oyakhilome by niddamugu(m): 1:19pm On Feb 28, 2012
What more can one say? Oyakhilome simply entangled himself because he lacks the genuine undiluted word of God. He needs to go back to biblical school and be taught afresh. He has millions of misled (unteachable) converts. He is like Apollos in Acts 18v24-28. He needs to be retrained. He has the zeal but lacks the knowledge - Romans 10v2. Head knowledge in these last days would lead to serious tragedy.
Politics / Re: 9 Christians Caught Attempting To Bomb COCIN Church In Bauchi by niddamugu(m): 10:51am On Feb 27, 2012
The other day we heard a very serious explosion from a container-carrying trailer. The first thing we did was to run for safety and then waited for a follow-up. Unfortunately, it was just one of the tires that exploded due to overloading. As for this particular story, it is obvious that the media is also contributing to the problem of this nation due to false reporting. My advice is that they should not just publish any story because they want to sell. 9ja people have a very high IQ to bring out the contents of messages and tell the intents of same. Therefore, this story is false, politically masterminded to destabilize the nation and religiously motivated to bring another form of crisis.

Religion / Re: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome- self-service Is Not A Sin. by niddamugu(m): 2:48pm On Feb 21, 2012
teewai27:

The problem with many nigerians is that we think we know too much bible.we focus on condemning other just cos it mkes us feel good n righteous. The thing we miss is a personal relatnshp with God which cant be attained if we spend most of our time picking on other xtians. So what if pastor chris said that? Does it make it right or wrong?if u self-service n ure looking for someone to quote so u feel justified, look within urself. How do u feel wen u do it, ?or after uve done it?does the holy spirit condemn u?im sure many xtians feel guilty afterwards. Dats enuf reason to stop it. Its not about a pastor, its about u and ur God.

Why do we then condemn the Govt? Christianity is all about the Wisdom (Christ) of God. Read James 3v17: "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy". Let us call a spade a spade, I watched the videos (2mins & 8mins), there were no scriptural references to his utterances. They were purely "head knowledge", mere talk, no power behind the words. This is purely HERESY - Chris Oyakhilome has erred and needs to ask God for forgiveness. He should remove the "African Leaders Mentality" (ego & pride) from his mind and ask God for help.

MOI LOVINA:

hahahahaha I laugh in latin. It is not a SIN. It is a matter of choice, i know a lot of married couples that engage in it. Theyactually encourage each other to indulge in it for pure satisfaction a nd to avoid infidelity. next una go talk say head na sin. It is a matter of how u feel wen you do it. if u feel condemmed then stop.
Pastor Chris carry go norrin do you.

Couples? Where did they get that from? Is it not from watching (or past views of) pornographic materials? Wise up pal, God is not (and cannot be) mocked.
Religion / Re: Pastor Chris Oyakhilome- self-service Is Not A Sin. by niddamugu(m): 6:15pm On Feb 20, 2012
In as much as I don't want to comment on this issue, I cannot help but say this:
1. Let us all be wise as Gamaliel - Acts 5v34-39, so that we don't sin.
2. Recently, our dear pastor has been troubled in his personal life. So I think he may not have been in the right frame of mind when he said.
3. One error begets another. He may not have any scriptural basis for these words but trust him, he would wiggle his way out.
4. I am a very principled christian. I cannot attend any church just like that. The "set man" must be ready to answer a lot of questions.
5. This is a typical sign of the end-time. People do not have time to study the "WORD" of God anymore. Whatever "the man" says is final. The berean brethren went back to check if the apostles were actually telling the truth - Acts 17v10-11.
6. I will not be surprised if we have lesbians and gays in that "church" in the name of "brotherly/sisterly love" - Heb. 13v1;Rom. 12v10;1 Thes. 4v9
7. They refuse to come to terms with truth and therefore easily deceived- 2 Tim. 3v7,13
8. Your "body" is the temple of the Holy Spirit (of God) - 1 Cor. 6v19
9. God will destroy whosoever defiles his temple (body) - 1 Cor. 3v17

I refuse to comment at all on this matter. The "man of God" is answerable only to the one who called him and not any one of you "castigating" him. Therefore sidon look. lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed lipsrsealed
Education / Re: Is Unilag Any Better Than Covenant University? by niddamugu(m): 12:27pm On Feb 20, 2012
No thanks to all the contributors to this thread. I thought that by now the whole "hoola-baloo" should have stopped. Let's pause and ponder with these questions:
1. Is covenant the only private university in this country?
2. Is it the best among the privately owned universities in Nigeria?
3. Is it the first?
4. What is it's rank in the world's universities list?

The same questions apply to Unilag plus:
1. Where are the products in the country?
2. What are their impact in the affairs of this country?

These questions and more are waiting to be answered. Meanwhile, quoting from the Bible:

Eccl. 12v13 - Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter:
Eccl. 9v11 - I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.

Bottom Line: STOP POSTING COMMENTS

The New IGP number.
The numbers are 08077446699 or 08102555581.
Send sms for prompt disciplinary action against erring officers but please be wise, don’t be a fallen ‘hero’

can i hide my number when sending SMS? Why not call? At least that way i can hide my identity. C'mon guy, we are not matured for this yet. The only way this can work is that you must first be a public figure by seeking public attention. That way you can secure yourself from being "solemnly silenced".

See what we have said on NL? This is not a case of "uniform" but a case of "mindset". IGP sir, give them a "Sparkling white" uniform and you don't change their character/orientation, then you have succeeded in contributing your own quota of "wasteful spending". These men MUST be brought to book, starting from the area commander if he cannot produce the policemen that perpetrated this heinous crime.

They have been very inconsistent. Besides, when last did they achieve anything or even play to your delight? Before now, we were sure of the "Golden Bronze", then what? A good man remains good irrespective of what he wears. The uniform is not the issue but the personality inside it. What the IGP should do is to embark on re-orientating the entire police force. Besides, by ensuring that all personnel get trained, he can make some "money" grin grin grin grin. Bottom line - change the thoughts of the people and not the uniform.
