pseudonomer:
You seeking advice from people whose homes are already broken and they are on a mission to make sure everyone else is like them.

You got the typical advice from those sad individuals, Divorce. But don’t do it without fighting for the marriage first, unless he’s physically abusing you or not treating you right.

What he has is an addiction problem, if he apologizes everytime and still goes back to his old ways, it shows he has a problem, he’s always trying to stop but couldn’t help himself. He needs you more than ever, and that’s why you are his wife, please don’t give up on him yet.

Try to talk to him, maybe he should see a therapist or something, and you can threaten that you’d have no option to divorce him if he continues, I’m sure he loves you and his family, maybe that will help him overcome this addiction. Just try anything that will help him.

Also, make him free to tell you everything, trying to appear pious will always make one to pretend. Put being religious aside, ask him what are his fantasies, what attracts him sexually, what makes him begs for more.

Addiction is a serious problem, please help him, without trying to help him, don’t listen to those sad humans.

You've bared it all bro

Good afternoon Nairalanders.

I believe I'm speaking to learned and sophisticated people.

I'm 18, done with high school, I wrote JAMB once last year and applied for Law in one of our universities. I studied very well for it, albeit, I scored 249 and I've not been given admission. To me, my score was a not so pleasing score as I studied thoroughly and vigorously for the exams and I didn't deserve the score.

In my bid to enter school as a law student or nothing, as I've much passion for law, I decided to register for a Diploma-in-Law program in another university, admission is sure with a good O'level.

Howbeit, few days pass by, I had a rethink, I'll say I'm from an average family and with the way the economy is, I'm not financially ready for school.

You might ask why I didn't register for JAMB again this year, I'm working in a POS point, and work 12hours a day for a meagre pay as low as 10k, no time for studies, as such, I couldn't register for JAMB, coupled with my plans for Diploma-in-Law, after that direct entry to degree or write JAMB next year while I'm in school, ditch the program for Degree without completing it.

Today, while discussing with mum, she tried coaxing me to wait and write JAMB again next year, and ditch the Diploma program as it's baseless and they've no money for it this year, that I'll go to school without any financial stress if I wait and write again next year.

With the aforementioned, I decided I'll buy a laptop and start blogging and freelancing as I'm a writer, this thing is a God given talent and I didn't learn from anybody, when I pen down articles, people ask where I learnt the skill from and that I'm close to perfect.

I decided to get a UK used laptop for 30k and develop myself while also making money via my writing career.

I've taken a good decision ditching school and trying to get a skill?

How can I also make money from my writes, I've heard of amazon, the only reliable and most popular, what can you recommend also?

How about a blog?

Bro, you're in your prime. Honestly speaking, you'd get tired of school soon enough and still go to pursue personal development.

My advice for you:
- You've already got a source of steady income. Save and grow.
-Choose your path. It could be Forex, or Crypto, or blogging as you stated.
-Spend on courses and mentors. Learn from people already in the game.
-Always improve.

Keyword on mentor. To take a stride upwards, one often needs a mentor. Get one. E get why.

qtguru:

Have a strong mental state, Apply yourself to a lot of things, learn alot of skills, make a lot of meaningful connections and relationships. Read books and expose yourself and consume alot of useful information, because this is your most agile years that you will never get back, for now Relationship should be the least focus, your 30(s) will mostly be you riding on past glories and settling down and enjoying your life to a degree.

A jobless man with no goals distracts himself with pleasure, I know I sound preachy, but I have witnessed alot of young people throw their life away only for them to try to pick up things in their 30s.

Depression and Frustration is very common in this stage,, because there is going to be a lot of disappointments and unhealthy expectation, Life is full of ups and downs and some unfair unfortunate circumstances that you can't change and that is normal.

If you miss all this in your 20s, you will get depressed in your 30s for not attaining self-fulfillment, because other than achievement and goals, there's really not much meaning to life.

That is my honest advice. You don't want to be in your 30s and be regretting your 20s

Well said bro. Plain truth.

I'm 20 myself and you're words hit me right. A jobless man surrounds himself with distractions to avoid the inevitable truth.

Romance / Interesting Topics To Discuss With Nigerian Babes. by Nigerianboi1960(m): 7:50pm On Aug 12, 2020
Good day all.

I'd like to seek the advice of the elders in the house. Females are encouraged to contribute. I would have asked to pardon my typos, but I doubt there'd be any. grin

So today, I was at a party and a girl caught my attention. We was all beautiful and cute and I liked her. I approached her and we spoke, but after s shirt period, I was short of things to say and the convo went off.

I felt real bad cos I really want to follow up on her, and I got her no for this reason, but I wasn't able to do so. I got her number and I'm gonna pursue her, but u don't want to ever run out if topics with her.

So I need bucket list, of some sort, of topics I could easily flow with her.

NB: I'm a fucking introvert, so don't go out often, but I really need to get her. Lose the insults if any is lingering in your head as you read this.

Please, take this topic to FP and save a nigga.

Why don't planes collide in the air.

Is it that only one plane flies at a point in time?

That is what air traffic control is for. There's hardly any plane that takes off without permission.

Education / Re: Advice Needed: Is Going To The University Worth It Anymore? by Nigerianboi1960(m): 4:03pm On Jun 01, 2020
Eddykul:
With the increased costs of going to the university, i am just wondering whether it is worth it any more. Stories about graduates struggling to find employment and with more and more alternative routes being developed, is it still worth getting a degree?

Is it true that there are so many graduates these days that employers are now looking for work experience?

Nowadays, it is the people that didn't not go through the university that are employing graduates. #FACT

Graduates are no more getting jobs like before when university was university, after spending so much time, spending money just to learn, you later come back to square one in becoming a business owner. #FACT

Most people are getting jobs on what they didn't even read in school just to earn a living.

Nowadays work that human beings are supposed to do, it being done by robots..

I am thinking of collecting my five years tution fees and also school hostel rent fee and course materials money from my parent to start up a business.

Is going to the university worth it anymore?
It is well worth it. I'm a student right now, and I know the challenges, but university isn't just about education, it's about the association and the meaning people and opportunities you'll be exposed to.

You said you want to start up a business, well, so do I. And I can bet you that the way I'll set up mine will be different, more organised and goal oriented than yours.

My advice for you is to go to university. Not just any university, but one where you'll have access to opportunities. Go and focus more on entrepreneurship and making connections and you'd be glad you did.

evansjeff:
Recently I've been very bothered about myself. I'm a guy of around 30 but some things that still worry my heart is really disturbing. I will start like this.

1. Something embarrassing happened some time last year when I travelled home for visit. They bought a goat and was looking for who to kill it, me knowing I'm the most senior man at home jejely went into ghost mode, everyone started looking for me, in the end I had to come out but shamelessly told them I can't kill it. They had to call a 16 year old opposite neighbour to do it while my younger ones helped him hold the goat. I couldn't even stand the sight of seeing the goat struggling for life while receiving knife in the throat. I left there immediately.

2. You might think it's normal for goat until I tell you that I can't kill a chicken or rat, last Christmas, I badly wanted to buy a life chicken because I beleive it's more healthy, but who will kill it? Bae was around, I don't want any embarrassment so I jejely bought frozen chicken . There is a wall gecko strolling around my room for weeks now, but I can't kill it, it becomes embarrassing any time I have a visitor

3. The most recent is, there are two birds trying to build a house in my lobby, I kept destroying the house but they didn't give up, it got to a point, I felt bad for the poor birds, what if they don't have a house? what if I'm the one building a house with all my strength and government keeps destroying it? I had to leave them to build. My neighbour said he killed the birds that tried doing that in his house but me can i do that? No. i just tire.

4. Lastly, When travelling and there's an accident, people rush out to watch but I dare not else the trauma will remain for months, I can't stand the sight of blood and body cuts.

Any time I think about killing an animal, I ask myself, what if I'm the one being held by boko haram or killer herdsmen and about to be slaughtered? How excruciating the pain can be.

Any time I think about crushing a cockroach, I ask myself, what if I'm the one trying to cross the high way and dangote trailer crushes me?

So guys, am I normal? Do I need to see a doctor or a psychologist?

I'm like this bro. I hate to see anything being killed. The day I had to hold a chicken down after its throat was cut, the shit was throbbing and I felt like a murderer.

I can't kill myself oo. I can't like what I hate.

Most people here will tell you you need help, but the only help you need is self confidence cos you think you have an issue.

uninspired07:
I know this my thread might get some people angry but it’s a subject that surprises me whenever I think of it. How do normal Nigerians who are educated have more than 2 children in a country like Nigeria with all the poverty & hopelessness? I am still single but I have it in mind to lay a ground rule that whichever woman I marry must agree to family planing methods after the birth of the 1st child whether male or female. And if the 1st baby is male, we can as well wait for another 5 years before having a baby of either sex as the last.

But I wonder when I see Nigerians that are not so wealthy giving birth to 4 - 5 kids in the midst of grinding economic depression and in a nation that has clearly failed. Don’t these Nigerians know that the country can descend into war anytime due to the instability that is so palpable? I get afraid when I see couples who have 4 children in this day & age so I always wonder how they are coping with the stress & the bills. I also wonder why they are not afraid of Nigeria.

Truth be told, most Nigerian are stupid and inconsiderate people. You'll see some one who's eating less than 50k a month with 5 children. Then you'll hear them say things like, children are a gift from God. WTF
The funny thing is that these children will now be passed on to uncles and aunts and older siblings to train, as though they are their responsibilities.
