Mr Muktar Zubairu, FRSC Zaria Unit Commander, attributed the incident to loss of control due to over speeding.

Five people died on Monday in an auto-crash involving two vehicles on Zaria-Kaduna expressway, an official of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) said in Zaria.

The News agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the accident occurred around Dan-Magaji area in Zaria, Kaduna State at about 1:50p.m.

Confirming the accident to NAN, Mr Muktar Zubairu, FRSC Zaria Unit Commander, attributed the incident to loss of control due to over speeding.

Zubairu, who spoke through the Unit’s Head of Public Enlightenment, Mr Idris Yahaya said 23 people including 20 males and three females were involved in the accident.

“Five people were killed and nine others injured.

“The injured persons are responding to treatment at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, while the corpses were also deposited at the same hospital.

“The two vehicles involved are; Toyota Hiace with registration number: XS 159 ABJ and a trailer with no registration number,” the unit commander explained.

He advised drivers to be mindful of traffic rules and regulations to minimise the rate of carnage on the roads.

A man was seen bathing completely naked at a T-junction in Lagos in broad daylight and he was accosted by Nigerians who believe he was carrying out the act for ritual purposes.

In the videos shared online, the naked man can be seen standing beside a car as he scrubs his body with soap and sponge then bends at intervals to take water from a bucket.

Kids can also be seen standing by the road, looking at him in disbelief as he baths without a care in the world.

After a while, he was interrupted by adults in the neighborhood.

They seized his bucket of water and he can be seen begging to be left alone.

Confirming the incident Detective Dave Dickinson of the Homicide Unit said that they suspect Janas Nyarko was shot by individuals from another neighborhood in the city.

A 31- year -old Ghanaian lady living in Toronto, Canada has died after she was shot at a funeral ceremony in her community close to the Replin Avenue.
According to MyNewsGh.com Janas Nyarko was pronounced dead after being rushed to the Toronto trauma centre.

Confirming the incident Detective Dave Dickinson of the Homicide Unit told MyNewsGh.com that they suspect Janas Nyarko was shot by individuals from another neighborhood in the city.

“It would appear that this is a case of individuals coming from one neighborhood in the city to another neighborhood and shooting the first residents they see.”

Janas Nyarko went to the funeral rites of a Ghanaian lady who died in Ghana but was flown to Canada for the funeral service on Saturday, June 23, 2018.

Suddenly, there was a sporadic shooting which led to her death.

A Ghanaian resident in the area told said that majority of Ghanaians living in government subsidised houses in Toronto are prone to frequent attacks “because there are bad guys living in the area.”

Nyarko, who migrated to Canada from Ghana in 2001, lived in Toronto alone and worked at a shelter, Dickinson said. There is nothing that indicates that she or any of the other passengers in the car were targeted, he added.

Her death marks Toronto’s 47th homicide of the year and one of four in the GTA in under 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the Police have intensified a search for the killers of the Nyarko.

Also, the security personnel attached to the outgoing APC Chairman, John Oyegun have clashed with the advanced security team of President Buhari.

Oyegun’s men, who arrived the venue around 2:00pm tried to force themselves and were resisted by the President’s advanced team, leading to a fight.

This prompted the other presidential details to come to the rescue of their personnel ad succeeded in pushing Oyegun’s men out of the venue, refusing them entry.

Meanwhile, former Edo state governor, Adams Oshiomhole has been confirmed as the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
