PrimadonnaO: I know there's a lot of cooked up stories out there, but is this heightened scepticism and cynicism actually helping us?
We don't want to believe anything as true anymore...And monstrous people keep going on with their evil deeds.
A lady comes out to narrate her near-rape experience and everyone here is bashing her. What if her story is true? This girl narrowly escaped being drugged and raped! Everything doesn't fit into pure logic...some men are simply desperate and stupid! This bashing attitude has got to stop. People shouldbe allowed to speak out. It could be your own kith or kin someday.
And y'all bashing her, saying she met someone on social media. Why y'all being fake? It's the very 21st century! Everyone's on social media! She played it safe...they didn't meet up in his house.
Please, let's be sympathetic to people's plights. Nl is filled to the brim with kindergarten kids. The only phrase they have learnt is Olosho. They even call their mothers that |

EVarn: I like the fact that I can practically feel the emotions in the story.
Jerry seem to be a little bit angsty, but one can hardly blame him, he is young, innocent and scared. The fact that he has fallen for a faceless entity online speaks of a bit of naivete, but it's justified by his need to not feel alone, his need to connect with someone like himself.
John is an enigma. A gay guy that has a girlfriend and plays football.
I love to see how this pans out.
Thanks for this great job, please keep the updates rolling in. Most gays like soccer. And the guy might actually be a bisexual or a pansexual..Sexuality is a horrible thing i tell you. Its like random luck, it falls and you and take whatever you get... There is so much transcendental emotion in this writeup |

Governance for some of you starts and ends with 'what he brought to my village'....no one has a pan-Nigerian outlook towards governance at the centre! Latter now, you'd be deceptively screaming 'one Nigeria' and look at me quizzically, wanting to know why i'm not joining you in your madness! I tire for the guy. With all that Buhari has wrought on this nation, they are still rooting for him. I wish we can divide. I am tired of this nonsense. TV/Movies › Hereditary's Ending Is Somewhat Annoying by nijabazaar(op): 9:17pm On Dec 19, 2018 |
So id watched Hereditary and i must say.....this film is frustratingly saddening or a transcendental level.
the minute-to-minute experience of watching the movie, sometimes through your fingers, is an ordeal of the best kind.
The scariest line is “mommy,” the most terrifying scenes take place when the whole family is together, and the sound most likely to make the person next to you shriek out loud is the click of a young girl’s tongue against the roof of her mouth.
So don’t let me spoil the ending by suggesting that the ending spoils the movie.
For most of two hours, “Hereditary” slowly unspools a depiction of evil — a claustrophobic, alarmingly funny, disarmingly realistic spectacle of extreme metaphysical and psychological disturbance — that feels like something new.
Mr. Aster ( the director) didn’t invent the techniques he deploys to create his unsettling effects, but he also swerves away from the clichés of the genre. Until he takes his foot off the brake and drives right into a big one.
The devil made them do it! Don’t get me wrong: I have nothing against the devil, at least as an agent of cinematic terror. But the difference between “Hereditary” and “Rosemary’s Baby” and “The Exorcist” — horror classics to which it has been compared — is that rather that representing ultimate evil, the prince of darkness feels like a small, secondhand presence.
Dont watch this film if you have BP whether high or low BP.
I thought the ending was open to interpretation: 1. Everything is a metaphor for mental illness, children pay for the sins and genes of their parents... 2. The cult, led by women, delivered death and corruption for cheap promises. This is a political view of the last presidential election in US: white women elected Trump... 3. People sacrifice their children in the name of religion: both Satan and God have terrible fans... |
