I like the way he x trying to make the Northern leaders, who r using religion to cage the poor masses, both uncomfortable and accountable. OP u said Sanusi x only good at criticizing Muslims...is Jonathan a Muslim? Sanusi x modern and fears no one when he wants to critique. |
I get this feelin that Sanusi x the only sane, modern and intelligent Man up North....apart from Dangote |
sometin x wrong wt d shoulders And i learnt somethin last nite...they call it Corrective Blendshapes ![]() i dont even fully understand it but i just love the phrase....Corrective Blendshapes. Corrective Mayashapes, Modoshapes, MAXshapes, TbossShapes, HoudiniShapea.

Caustics:sometin that can easily be done wt blender... i like it anyway. |
hopeless entity... infact i am tired. |
This is super stupid. Jesus x now the new currency. chai. Nigeria just needs an overhaul. everything x just wrong. |
I Love all this. We will gradually get there. And then start talkin of collabos. And then start makin little money. And then start making fine fine films and animation. And then Hollywood starts outsourcing little little jobs to us. We wont mind charging them little little amounts until finally gbam....we explode like India. ALMOST ALL HOLLYWOOD VFX THEM X NOW outsourced to small companies in India. From rotoscoping to Texturing to just title runs. And i think we should set higher standards for ourselves. WE should push and aim to make our works perfect. Lets set each 3d project (in whtever area) as if We are submitting an assignment to Steven Spielberg. As if a We are setting up a pitch demo for A Samsung ad. Lets not relax and say Nigerian standards. We shoule think Globally and create locally. Definitely pple will discourage us, NIGERIA will attempt to frustrate us. But in the face of adversity of whatever kind, our passion for 3D should neva wane. I hate typing wt Technoe |
Shikena:Well, if u guys are ok by it...AFONJA all d way. before u know it will soon be in d dictionary. I AM Igbo by d way. ...did i just call myself Igbo? ![]() Shikena:Well, if u guys are ok by it...AFONJA all d way. before u know it will soon be in d dictionary. I AM Igbo by d way. ...did i just call myself Igbo? |
i ve noticed pple hav begun to accept this AFONJA description. I thought its a derisive word. |
Donniefred:GLAD u liked it. what area r u in? |
fashtundejay:Well, It all boils down to the when I first visited this Art thread. It was a chance thing really. Kazuna Cobalt's work appeared on FP, was it 2014 ending or thereabout. I saw those creatures and horrible things that He likes to model and instantly began to follow him like a disciple. Ofcourse, I already had a thing for films. I love watching action sci-fi like the avengers and I always love femme fatale like Scarlet Johanson. I like strong women kicking butts and I am sure i'm not alone. But One thing is to like to do CG and one thing is to be prepared to open the softwares. Following this mentor, I started with Blender, there's a thread here known as "3D ethusiasts for blender", I stalked every artist there. I downloaded Andrew Price's nearly 100 tuts. I never knew what I was doing or the 3d categories to put my interests in. I made the mistake of thinking that 3d is everything 3d, so it means i must learn all of them. So the first year (2015) was hectic and frustrating. I was only able to model Onions and cups and I hate that fact ![]() I wanted to do xters and present them like Kazuna and Xothermilk and CGNIYI them. I wanted to make my xters jump with acute precision like OKX's. I was mad and mad and mad......I nearly gave up. Infact for two months I refused to open Blender. How can I just be doing Onions and Cups and Bread. Then after a while, began folowing Liam shaw on Youtube, He was my first tutor in Zbrush. He specializes in creatures with muscle anatomy and i loved his British accent. Then, It was Michael Pavlovitch and the Forgemaster and countless Gnomon Workshop torrents that i stole off the net. Is stealing torrents a crime against God? ![]() Sooner, I started using Zbrush and Blender together. Zbrush for the roughing out and Blender for the finessing. I discovered that because of my first exposure to the aforementioned mentors, that I was a Character person and not an Andrew Price (Environ) person. Its always good to know who you are in CG. Super important. I am not yet Pro, esp in areas of Hard-surface clothing for my xters . I would kill to do a cyborg one day. but i sure love what I do. Now I use 4 softwares basically - ZBrush, Blender, Substance Painter and Maya. With Maya, I didnt bother learning how to model. I strictly focus on rigging and maybe xter animation. Since that's the only thing She knows how to do. You can kick me there ![]()
|
Well, since you said related software......Use this links 1. Go to utube and search for Micheal Pavlovitch (this is for Zbrush modeling of xters, worms and shoes )2 . I've collated some tutorials for human xters Here 3. Visit blenderguru.com for Comprehensive blender tutorials & if you can tolerate an Aussie accent. I suggest You start with Blender (its super easy and u can find anything u want on it except how to model a snake ).4. If you are not interested in characters and u just want to do, u know, water and fire and all things that smash and hit and make terrible noises. Try the Houdini Channel on Youtube. If u are bent on this, U will never regret learning Houdini. Its d future. 5. Then if all you care for is painting/texturing already made 3D models try Allegorithmic Subsatnce Painter. Goto their utube channel or search for Dylan Mellot on utube (add substance painter in the search tag) 6. Are you just interested in making clothes, just apparels for 3d characters? Look no further. Marvelous designer is there. Super hard and super rewarding .And I want to give you a personal advise. In this CG field, never try to do it all, those that are good at doing it all, have two heads ![]() Just pick one field and excel in it. Specialization is all. Once u are good at a particular area, there are lots of jobs on Behance. And (OMG, I keep using and) as a newcomer....Dont get confuse when we Nigerians lump CG into one useless category.....3d animation ![]() Here is a list of the super categories/Fields you can fit into & Specialize 1. Rotoscoping/Compositing 3. Environment and Level Design 4. Character Design - Modeling 5. Character Design - Rigging 6. Animation (both Character and Non-xter) 7. Character Effects - Hair simulation, Clothe, Dirt and Saliva simulation ![]() 8. Geometry and planar tracking. (if u can do this well, consider yourself a Boss) 9. Fluid simulation and Cracking (Watch Pirates of Caribbean and know why this group gets the highest pay these days. See why i say Houdini is the future) 10. Rendering and Lighting 11. Hard Surface Modeling (Swords, Robots, Machines, All Evil objects ur mum told u never to touch belongs here) |
Ha, Micheal Jackson.....i luv ya. If I can channel people back to Earth, he'd be on the top five |
In these days, the conflict between wanting and needing to Model, and understanding you might have to sleep instead, is especially strong. |
Another curiosity.... Lately, I am struck by a dearth of ability. So , I am mostly staring aimlessly at my collections and then struggling to rig a xter in Maya. I wonder why some days go like this. I have everything at my disposal, near constant light, a very responsive mouse, abundant data....yet, its seems something in my soul is siphoned away. Well, let me keep staring at these curiosities and hope that this rig turns out good. Credits The gal posing is by the nigerian maestro Nuurdin. I think he renders with Mental Ray And the strawberry salad is by a 14 year old Finish boy. This Niggur renders with Blender Cycles and yet Andrew Price had the effrontery to say the rendering x still not realistic. Its realistic to me!

powerful.. I often wonder how pencil artist do hair with such exactness ![]() |
is there a way I can work with u? I am a 3D artist |
Sorry can u xplain what iclone really x for? is it purly an animation suite or a 3D whole package? I don't wanna Google, just explain wt ur user experience |
its super sad that we are lagging behind in Science and tech upon all d civilizations bequeathed on us ....ordinary Finland is even a pioneer in Quantum cryptography.... ordinary Finland. |
A very perfect camouflage.... I saw a moth once, its wings spread out and it was perched on a tree... I ran thinking I be see an eye stuck in a tree trunk. the patterns on its wing looked so much like an Owl eye. If I am not ed ucated, I could ve ran to my yard and claim Allah has shown me a sign or that tree. spirits had chosen me to be d next Igwe. ![]() |
the gas they belched got to such critical mass as to initiate certain geo cycles that gave birth to the first paleotechnic ice melting... we are currently releasing ours. too.... Mind u , most of em r ruminants. Ruminants like cattle belch Methane.... so does Dino too. |
