When you mind your business, the world will mind you. Japan does not make noise yet achieving development strides.

Nigeria claims to be big brother of Africa yet her passport is less in value than Ghana's.

Let's rescue Nigeria from APC and PDP

What else?..

Minister of communication is still there after he's nysc saga was bursted. Certainly you don't respect evidences.

Buhari is a scam. He lacks integrity and competence.

BuhariAdvocate:
kiss your point can't be use to justify that Lagos is a failed state.
First I didn't say Lagos is a failed state but asserted that Lagos is still lagging behind based on its mega city status and financial budget to development.

Failure is comparative. Lagos state is still the best state in Nigeria

But among the 140 mega cities ranked in the world for liveability. Lagos was ranked 138. Only better than Bangladesh and one city in war-torn Syria.

This ranking was based on education, health care facilities, transportation etc.

The development in Lagos is too low compare with her budget.
Nigeria budget is around 6 trillion while Lagos budget of recent is over 1 trillion. How many states can boost of 500 Billion budget in Nigeria.

Until another party takes over power we will not know the havoc done by Tinubu and cronies in Lagos.

We must stop comparing Lagos which has high budget with state with low budget.
Compare Lagos of Nigerian with Johannesburg of South Africa. They are both mega city.

Yes Lagos still lag behind.

Do you know that Lagos state depend on private primary school for basic education?

6 out of every 10 pupils in primary school in Lagos attend Private primary schools.

In fact, if you were raised in Lagos, you are most likely to have attended private primary schools.

You can't starve a man with water and tell him not to drink water from the rivers as he swims.

This is a fundamental cause of corruption. For example, some banks will pay a Teller 65K yet they handle Millions every day. That's psychological torture.

[quote author= post=74586371]HOW THE COUNTRY CAN PAY MINIMUM WAGE COMFORTABLY..........

1. Abolish SECURITY VOTE in NIGERIA. Nigeria will pay N45,000 minimum wage comfortably.

2. a) Abolish CONSTITUENCY PROJECT FUNDS

f) Eliminate PRIVATE PRACTICE in public workforce
g) Eliminate participation of Public Workforce in Partisan Politics.

You have everything free yet you still collect salary.
You don't spend on transportation from your salary
You don't spend on food from your salary
You don't spend on medicals from your salary. Yet you collect salary bigger than that of a professor. Shame on you.

Is it not someone who knows what he wants to do that will debate? Buhari does not know anything except to shout corruption. Ask him how will he unite Nigerians.....he will tell you corruption? How will he provide job? He will reply it is corruption.... Any question thrown at him must be answered with corruption.

By the way, has gone to hustle to grill BBQ....when he comes back by 10pm, he will start shouting "sad baba we know". I thought people saying BMC crew are being paid were only joking...but after I monitored I realised he is one of the BMC making noise on nairaland. This is what is called diversification. Nobody is talking about who nominated who. The bone of contention is that Zakari has a tie and soft spot for Buhari hence she cannot be trusted to be fair.

When Nigeria is playing S/Africa in a football match, it will be unprofessional to make a Ghanaian or a Togolese the referee even when they have the best intentions, their geographic location has put them in the wrong view.

If a judge is not trusted to be fair in a hearing, another judge takes over. Let's not over heat the polity, Nigerians do not want her to head that committee because of a conflict of interest. Her mother is from Daura, same place with the President, her brother is alleged to be a minister under Buhari....haba! If na you would you not support Buhari?

Since both leading parties presidential aspirants are from the north, I suggest someone from the South take that position.

For those condemning the guy. Believe me, these are the type of guys that will eventually become the best. Their beginning is usually like that. They grow up to become courageous and knowing each detail.

Some people just like initial gragra...you would think they will become General the next day.

Back to your secondary school, you see some students you thought they would never excel are now doing great, meanwhile those who were the efikos and bookworms are still struggling today

The beginning of the story should not be used to judge the entire story.

Please what do you rely on to spew dustbin?

In case you don't know, this was a good and timely release from the opposition party.

During the administration of GEJ, he had already started campaigning and showing on TV what each ministry had done. But here we are having some senseless people supporting Buhari without anything they can point to as achievements.

Is Nigerians less corrupt than before?
Is our economy better than before?
Are Nigerians more united than before?
Are we as a Nation progressing in the fight against Boko Haram?
If you cannot YES to all these questions and you're still shouting 4 + 4 they you deserve to get "iforti" (a slap) as answer.

Web Market › Suggestions On How To Improve NAIRALAND Forum In 2019 by Niorte(op): 9:00am On Jan 04, 2019
This forum has been my google search engine for issues or discourse in Nigeria. From politics, sports, vacancies or business ideas.... Nairaland.com is one of my favourites.

My suggestions include.

1. A Dislike button should be added. This will make people to know the quality of their opinion in the public and hence become more civil

2. Each member's comment should attract a point which will rate the member as Educated, Professional, Amateur, Expert etc. Of recent I saw someone who just registered and within two minutes he was already flooding all thread with BETTING FIXED ODDS.

3. Online beggars are increasing on Nairaland. The moderator should find a way to curb this. Certainly some requests for help are genuine but many have been taking advantage of the generosity of the members here.

Please add your own suggestions, I believe the moderators will find useful suggestions here to better this site in 2019

I wonder why a right thinking Nigerian should be against afe babalola at this critical time. Federal university of Technology Akure (FUTA) as a school is not older than shagari and as such shagari deserves the courtesy of a university he established.

Anyone against this nice and suggested move is an enemy to this country and is threatening our collective unity. Futa should be renamed after shehu shagari in his honour.

We have to be nationalistic, patriotic and loving in dealing with any part of this country.

Anyone that love Nigeria should support this move as am in support of it 100%.

This will enhance relationship, understanding and interactions among various ethnic extraction in Nigeria even as I knoww shagari deserves more than this.

Let Futa be renamed and let no one oppose unless the person is an enemy to Nigerian unity.

Unity is our strength. Support this move.

May the soul of late shagari rest in peace.
Do you know what it will cost to rename FUTA?

In fact, FUTA has one of the best anthem in Nigeria.... and the anthem has the word FUTA in it.....that means the school anthem should also change, logos and other stuffs.

FUTA anthem is bae.....my favourite morning song back then
Politics › Re: This Country Belongs To Us As One, FUTA Should Be Renamed After Shehu Shagari by Niorte: 12:17am On Jan 04, 2019
Simple.

You don't replace a better brand with a lesser known brand.

Think of Nelson Mandela University....that's a stronger brand

Shehu Shagari University....from where?

When it comes to sharing the goodies in the South, that's when some people will remember unity and love. While Buhari was forming his cabinet he kept on choosing Northerners. Please pick a school in the North and name it after Shehu Shagari

I suggest University of Abuja should be renamed Shehu Shagari University

How come Agbaje is the one complaining and not the retirees? Don't the retires have names and a voice to speak out if indeed they were wrongfully retired before their due departure?

How come he is complaining that they have been retired/retiring since January 2018, yet he waited till January 2019 to make it public discourse?

All these wild tales from PDP should stop.

If any affected civil servant feels wronged by the state, let them take on the state government legally.

See the mindset of the perpetual failure that wants to lead Lagos. Is it by age that positions and responsibility and leadership is afforded to one who is able to take up the challenge?

So because there are those whose ages are well older than the HOS, they should not cooperate with their superiors at work? Is promotion and leadership by age or performance/ability?

So Jimi Agbaje will refuse to obey orders of his superior if he is well older than that superior/supervising colleague?

Jimi Agbaje is a disappointment.
Don't quote in out of context to suit your analogy.
First, this is Yoruba land where respect is part of the culture. It is easier for a younger subordinate to assist his older superior to carry his hand bag than for an older subordinate to do same for a younger superior. Even if the older subordinate wants to do such, morals and culture will not be on the side of the younger superior.

Now you can imagine if the the older subordinate is well educated to...

Can you tell us at what age a 46 year old man could have entered the civil service to have risen to the level of a HOS and you expect people who have spent 25 to 30 years in same organisation to accept command from him willingly without any sense of bad blood

Person like OBJ can easily deceive her to sell the country.

Just the way you can convince your wife at home in some situations and she will agree with you, that's how any other person will definitely convince them.

Have you reason why the devil could go to Eve the woman instead of his fellow man Adam?

He know that Business with Adam is not going to work.

Your wife can rule over your household but not in Nigeria.
Just imagine telling your wife she has fish brain will she clap for you?

Liberia, Germany, Croatia are case study...you can imagine how the men over there convinced them, right?

My wife is my partner in progress, I allow her to lead in areas of her competence for the benefits if both of us. Only weak men are afraid of delegating power.
