Was the friend leaving the facial scrub on overnight?

Try honey; real honey. It works for scars as well.
Romance / Re: I'm 27, She's 16: Should I Disvirgin Her? by NiteAngel(m): 2:48am On Jan 28, 2008
Maybe you don't know Nigeria has a law against cradle snatching. If your something is scratching you let go of her and go in search of your match. Better still seek the consent of her parents to marry her, abi? I wonder what advice you'd give to your 27 year old in a relationship with a teenager.

This is trivial but I couldn't help wondering why he isn't married, may be he is now,
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Ford Foundation Scholarship Is Here Again by NiteAngel(m): 2:22am On Jan 28, 2008
Let me warn you; once you are privileged you really don't stand a chance. Most of those who ended up with a Ford or Fulbright Fellowship never used a computer before, may live with a disability, may not speak English fluently, attended local public schools, may not have had the privilege of joining clubs or traveling to other places, these are not stated anywhere but having applied myself and later meeting a number of Fellows; I can tell you that they are out to level the playing field by giving the opportunity to those who may not come within reach of it.

However, don't let this discourage you; there is always exception to the rule.

No it shouldn't end, it can't end, what can I do to dream big? My dreams are still all muddled up? Am I awake or asleep, I can't even tell. On what side should I wake to ensure I begin to live my dream? The footsteps are louder, oh no, what do I do?

In bed he began to wonder, how do I even know that the tears and wailing as a result of my death, the people I met, how do I know that, that I am still not in a trance? Is the world real? Then he remembered the song he sang and busted out laughing; how on earth did I expect to disarm a giant with such a silly song, come to think of it maybe the giant would simply have joined my song and become my friend, I can hear footsteps, am I still dreaming or am I awake?

Still very frightened, hearing the echoes of different people beckoning; if only I can make it to the wooden canoe, he thought. Suddenly he saw a mighty shadow; he looked up and it turned out to be a giant dressed in white, as he starred at the wooden canoe just about four strides away from him, he knew he had to contend with the giant if he is to make it in time to the canoe.

Food / Re: The First Time You Cooked? by NiteAngel(m): 9:36pm On Aug 21, 2007
Ebony4life, they chose to supervise as a measure against appendicitis!

I can't quite remember the first time or the first meal but I recollect vividly the first time I attempted to make amala (yam floiur paste) on my own after watching over a period of time.

As I poured in the elubo (yam flour) I saw the lumps dancing, I panicked and emptied the boiling pot to start afresh. As I poured the yam flour in again, I panicked and the lumpy paste suffered the same fate. Not until the 3d time did I take up the courage to stir and make something that could be described as edible lumps. Needless to say I made a better attempt at learning when next we had it on the menu.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Any Hope For Disabled Nigerian Graduates? by NiteAngel(m): 8:53pm On Aug 21, 2007
I'll approach this differently.

You need to change your attitude towards your personality. You are a person with disability not a disabled person. Every human has a measure of disability only some are more obvious than others. Including your disability on your resume screams even before giving you an opportunity to show case your skills "I may not cope!" You should give prospective employers an opportunity to meet you and come face to face with your skills and professional know how, I bet you'd find a few who will see your mind and skills before your form.

I am aware that Ford/Fulbright is currently sponsoring a number of persons with disability for study abroad. This opportunity is available not to everyone but to those who put their skills before their form. Those that have been sponsored are daring go-getters who challenge the very disability that try to put them down.

We all face challenges on different scales, A black man in a white land would have to face challenges of "accent", "colour" etc yet s/he is bound to succed if s/he rise above the challenge. Your disability should not be a reason to fail it should lead you to be dynamic in your route to success

In going to school you were trained to survive. In whatever way you can either on a solo level or attachment level do just that, survive!

Dating And Meet-up Zone / Re: Last Nigerian Virgin! by NiteAngel(m): 10:15pm On Aug 20, 2007
Where is babay Glow? I guess some start a thread just to get a word in while some respond just to while away time.

Baby Glow said "Twas my pride for a long time!" Does that mean it is no longer her pride? Maybe someone rushed in after the fourth unlucky victim and took it in a jiffy now she wants to sell it in public domain to spoil the joy of the noise maker. If she is interested in negotiating, I doubt that she is still a virgin.

Waiting is inspiring and fulfilling. I did wait too even longer. But when waiting becomes a manipulating tool then it aint worth the wait. When you wait, don't do it for the man or the woman do it to have a life that's free from the effects of being a donor. The woman or man you give in to may eventually not be the one who signs the dotted lines but make sure you feel good about giving in and that moment will last forever.

Guys, stop humming like flies towards carcass; this can only wear you out.

The iroko tree had huge leaves big enough to carry his small frame on each leaf lay a frame each leaf as large as the frame. As he looked franctically from left to right he saw them rise from a sleeping to a sitting position calling and beckoning to him with a smile that could pass for a grin. While some shouted "Okanlawon come" others shouted "Fruit Spirit ma bo".

'Until recently, a large number of women who wore trousers to the church were tolerated in their quest to attract male worshippers, '

Who says women in cassock aint in a stronger bid! It's not what women wear but what thoughts they harbour and words they speak. Pastors and lay men alike need to get their priorities right. I respect Pa E.A. and wouldn't want to talk back on the basis of a newspaper that's known for garbage in and out.
