How many books of marriages did you read before settling down please?
Which ones would you recommend? I'm interested and looking for something to read.

Yes, I was. Although the early exposure to Christianity came through my family, my perceived representation about God from the church we attended spurred cynicism rather than intimacy.
People can cause that.

The old timer doesn't know of our affair I'm not sure, she might as well know and be pretending, come to think about it!!! she recommended the hospital to me when I was Sick, And has been on my matter lately, giving me all sorts of unsolicited marital lectures, It's Glaring now that she's behind my predicament.
Marital lectures meaning you are married? huh

I dont usually respond to idiocy of this nature, I'm just looking for something to do.

The thing is, most Nigerian women do not know what it means to work for your own money. The reason they can't appreciate the little cash you spend on them.
So, how many Nigerian women do you know who are not working? You rarely meet any who are?

He was earning six figure salary while at his former place of work and he has a side business which he still manages till now but the profit is close to nothing and it is not even constant.
Six figure salary in Nigeria is monthly, I assume that's what you mean?

Mind you, I have been the one practically footing the bill after two months that my husband lost his job because we made a huge investment in acquiring some property shortly before he lost his job. So, I pay house rent, school fees, feed the whole family
Could you explain further (if you dont mind, you seem to have created only one post and then vanished) the relationship between the huge property investment and the other parts of your statement. The investment took up all your savings? huh

FP entertainment sha.... what man knocks on his own door for entry?

gullible readers take it away. grin
Perhaps the op means the door was locked and there was no key.

So, the wife quietly opened the door and waited for the illicit lover to say hello to the husband, not knowing it would turn to fight.

A thread is always suspicious when it has too much detail and the op has only been on the forum for 21 minutes.

Going by the profile picture showing a lady(?) with big butt(?) wearing a clingy dress, the poster is most likely male.

I am male and we are working on a movie project that is the reason I am asking to know how best my actress is supposed to act when her MIL hates her.
I think there are nollywood movies and characters which deal with this scenario, perhaps you can check those.

For new couples (ie those in relationships):

If one or both of you is a high earner or with the potential to be a high earner, sit yourselves down, create a workable plan for your finances in the event more money comes in than you thought possible. Do this before you marry (while dating) or as soon as possible after you're married, don't just focus on romance alone, get to the nitty gritty and non romantic aspects of your relationship.

Not saying everybody would be terribly wealthy, but if you're aware you're on a path to that, and considering what you know now at this moment, be wise.

How are you going to do this? I have no idea, I'm only suggesting.

Go through my post history from one to one million, I don't use phrases like scum of the earth. When I describe or insult people, it wouldn't be with those specific words. I like that expression though, very apt

A) just listen and do nothing?
B) try and get the so called friend off her husband or boy friend back?

Politics › Re: What Do They Mean By Hate Speech. by nlPoster: 6:05pm On Nov 21, 2019
lordlugards:
What is Hate Speech
Hate speech, speech or expression that denigrates a person or persons on the basis of (alleged) membership in a social group identified by attributes such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, physical or mental disability, and others.

www

Yes, it includes denigrating people on the basis of their gender, very common on nairaland with all the anti-women rhetoric. It doesnt matter if your culture promotes it or has no law against it. Sticking to your cultural forums and venting there is an option you have instead of bringing your hate to nairaland.

Obviously, your survival could depend on you fighting the object of your hate with all your might (in this case, women), but the women you hate, also have rights.

Hate speech based on disability also carries penalties. You might not like or agree with the rules but they're still there.

If they are having sex in their privacy and you are not watching them as a paid security employee or you are paid to watch whatever others do in the privacy of their homes but you use this information for voyeurism and stalking, then it's a sin.

You did not specify porn so the above applies. I assume you mean watching people have sex without the consent of the persons involved.

And what did you find offensive about my statement that made you post this cringeworthy comment? huh

I dont envy people, it's one of my negatives.

My lacking the jealous gene is not because I feel I'm better than you but because I just cant be bothered to feel emotionally clingy and bitter over what I dont have. Like I said, it's a gene, some people have it, some dont.

What offends you about the fact every child has their own challenge regardless of birth order? I really dislike when nlers jump on my post with half assed replies. It's so aggravating.
