Ugwu/Ugu also does well when added to yam pottage or yam porridge in miniscule quantities. This is because the leaf texture holds firm with the longer cooking time.

Those of you dating Igbos or other non Yoruba Nigerians, doing business with them, or whatever type of relationship you have with other tribes, that doesn't mean you have to be jumpy every time a discussion of Yoruba culture comes up. Just ignore, it's not about you.

If your partner is uncomfortable with Yoruba discussions, then stay away but you should not ask other people to do the same.

The correct spelling is Ugwu in my opinion, it probably became Ugu after Nigeria started shipping the leaf to the US.

I remember that made news some years ago.

When it's too dark, that means it's overcooked and this affects the taste (not fresh). Unlike the Igbo version where the tougher leaves need to cook longer.

On Ugwu:

It's very common in Lagos markets (together with periwinkle), this is because the demand there is higher, some Yorubas might also try periwinkle occasionally, but it's not a traditionally Yoruba cuisine. We eat regular snail.

You can also get coconut and cassava, together with native pear, these are traditional Igbo snacks available in Lagos. Yorubas don't eat the coconut/cassava so much, the taste is unfamiliar. African pears are eaten by Yoruba.

What most of you don't understand is that most ATMs position outside the bank premises are prone to thieves breaking into it coz the banks don't have security operatives stationed there.They rely on the securities of those locations. Moreover banks do have a certain amount they load into their off-site ATMs .
What I can deduct from the video is that it is an inside job from the bank coz those cassettes still looks okay,the vault door was not blasted.They gain access using the key and d combination lock(password).

ATMs are designed to be tamper proof which is why there aren't a lot of break ins like this one.

The machine is essentially impregnable so it takes more effort than it's worth to pulverize it.

That's why would-be criminals usually prefer taking the entire vault when trying to crack an atm to get at the money in it.
