She's not Nigerian.

OP correct your title. You intentionally added Nigerian and then posted the story which says nothing like that.

Dont do such things, the situation was bad enough. Fear God.

Has a Nigerian woman ever married a South African man, or should we assume this is the first in modern history?
Can any reasonable person answer this without unnecessary sentiment.

Beosten:
Thanks, bro. I know no one can challenge me by giving her the name. The name will earn her respect as people will be surprised that the name is often given to men with great ancestral history. From literal interpretation, Aluko is a bird with the color that symbolizes beauty in Yoruba land.
I dont know if you're Yoruba but ile lan nwo ka to somoloruko, which is to say traditionally you give your child a name based on your background or family environment.

If you're not in tune with your roots then you could give a child any name, but as someone guessed, are you planning for your daughter to identify as a different gender?
Family › Re: Can I Give My Daughter 'ALUKO' As A Name? by nlPoster: 8:01am On Nov 02, 2019
I am sure there are other names that mean beauty as well.

Nigerians enjoy spoiling names.

For example, they will shorten Igbekeleoluwa and start calling the person 'Igbe'. There are many examples.

I for one like doing things differently, I have a masculine name I gave myself but it's not officially one of my names.
It means forest, not only crud.

For example, eran igbe is game as in wildlife.

content208:
Don't be so sure, please
This excessive monitoring especially by Nigerians is so aggravating.

They monitor you for no reason besides envy sometimes and the way they process and handle the information can leave one cringeing.
