I was born in Lagos. And I will tell you even though I am grateful to Yorubas for their peaceful ways, I rarely associated with them. This was not consciously but because I was totally surrounded by Ibos. Family friends were Ibo. All my neighbours were Ibo, My school friends were mostly Ibo and I can say that I lived within an Ibo cocoon in Lagos. I dated a couple of really lovely Yoruba Girls though. As they say Beauty has no tribe. LOL.

Either way, there are so many Ibos in Lagos, that Lagos Ibo is a real classification.
In Nigeria, people dont interact too much outside their ethnic groups unless for underlying business or financial purposes, so even if they reside in a different locality, they still go to their places of origin as often as they can and also socialize mostly in their own culture.

So, while I doubt you're Nigerian at all (it's possible), most Nigerians would not place too much emphasis on being "born in Lagos" because they know that would not necessarily prevent inter-ethnic interaction. In addition, what also makes me doubt your narrative is most people born in lagos would not specify Yorubas only as the only other tribe they met there.

But yes, Lagos Ibo/Igbo is the same as Lagosian.

No I mean Lagos Ibo or Lagosian Igbo. It is all the same. Like Millions of others in Surulere, Festac, Ikeja, Isolo etc. I dont mean to offend but there are millions of Igbos in Lagos so there is nothing wrong with the term Lagos Igbo.
That's your opinion which you dont have to force on others?

How long have you been in Lagos?

People living in Lagos are known as Lagosians, irrespective of tribe.

In any case, Lagosian and Lagos Igbo are the same.

I'm from Enugu state. But I see nothing wrong with the term DELTA IGBO.

The term *Delta Igbo* means Igbos living in current Delta state. Just like we have Osun Igbos(Indigenous Igbos living ij Osun state Ile Ife. If you doubt, ask Ooni he confirmed it), Benue Igbos(Indigenous Igbos in Benue state), Kogi Igbos(Indigenous Igbos in Kogi state, Ibaji to be precise), Cross rivers Igbo (Indigenous in cross river state) etc.
Osun is a state, not a town.

im not a zulu
Once Nigerians tag you as something, they just use it as a means to abuse you.

I've also been tagged zulu by these crazy nlers.

They believe they can organize a gang up once they give a person such (what they consider) ungodly names. They call their fellows to come and attack their target/s based on the name calling.

It wouldnt even be a problem if they weren't also organizing crap offline? huh

Just hold your change if they ask you to do so.

It's not hard.

If you don't like the idea, then avoid any place that requires you to have exact change.

Why exactly are we discussing this?

@ topic

We dont know much about other countries besides Nigeria, the little African history we are aware of is mostly the ancient west African empires- Songhai, etc. We know of a few major rivers in Africa because we used to sing about them. Otherwise, we're very unfamiliar with everything else.

And where was black South Africans when all this was going on, what exactly where they doing during this time.
Same place Nigerians were at that time.

Can you name one war won by indigenous Nigerian peoples during the period in question and especially during colonization? huh

The rules of engagement were more advanced, native peoples were not prepared or equipped for it, and there was also a lot of infighting, all these should be considered.

if I am the only bad egg in my family automatically people concludes my family is no good
who are the people concluding, why are they assessing your family, who are the people in your family interacting with that cast judgements and why are they enabled to do the same, by who, does your family owe "people" good character, is your family the only family in Nigeria or what's with the excessive scrutiny, etc etc.

Do people working against you whether in business or whatever, bother hiding it these days?

I think not. Unless a person just wants to be obtuse, most times folks don't hide what they are doing about your matter. This has sort of affected the middleman position where someone has to tell you this or that person is not working with you.

Although this piece is false. Igbos are obvious hebrews. Its also the reason for their inherent predominantly whitish/fair skin tone and their similar traditions with hebrews. Ask the older generation of them.
Igbos do have lighter skin tones, that's why many Nigerians who are light, often get mistaken for Igbo.
