Lifestone: How could you call a South African an Oyinbo? Lifestone: Haaa. But I have been to several Continents (lost count of countries !) How much do I need to travel to know that having white skin doesn't make you an Oyinbo. Good enough the OP has edited the caption of the thread Lifestone: I thought you will tell me his origin. Being white skinned doesn't make you a Caucasian. Good enough the OP got my message and has adjusted the caption to the thread. I assume your problem with the word Caucasian is you prefer it to mean only non black people who are very rich. You do not have evidence the pre wedding couple are in that category. So you assign a socio-economic interpretation instead of a biological one. otherwise I dont see how you could be staring at a picture of a Caucasian person and insist they are not Caucasian? |

Beosten: There is a saying in Yoruba land that goes thus 'Aluko bi o k'osun, obinrin o se oge. That sentence is deep. You're misreading the proverb. That's like naming your child tiro (mascara) because it's a beauty product. |
Family › Re: Can I Give My Daughter 'ALUKO' As A Name? by nlPoster: 8:59pm On Nov 02, 2019 |
You can change Aluko to something else, just modify the letters.
eg Ahluko, Alurkho, Akoh, Aiko, Raluko, Ulko |

How can Aluko mean beauty when it's a male name?
Just name the child beauty if looks are so important to you.
If at all it refers to beauty, then it's the beauty of the bird itself, since many birds have very beautiful plumage. |

ajl: A lot of reasons why many African Americans thinks most Nigerians are "koons". You people (Nigerians) really are insatiable with your demands. From being left handed is a sin, to this person doesn't talk with our accent, to this person is an elite (whatever that means), to my favorite seer said I should not associate with this person, to I hear bad things about this person, to I am simply jealous of this person, this, that etc, etc. All just a cover for your intolerance. Not your fault sha, you're being pampered so you're used to getting your own way. |

Literature › Re: The Regret Of A Married Woman by nlPoster: 6:09pm On Nov 02, 2019 |
Someone has married on their profiles yet we still have a story? Revenge porn is not the solution, how about the women blocking any married man whose message is ambiguous, and the men not sending messages that could be construed as incentive? In addition, dont chase a man who has married clearly displayed on his social media page? Is this rocket science? Hard to prove they did not know what they were getting themselves into. For the first example, he could have sued for defamation but his way of introducing himself to the lady side tracked him. What exactly was he looking for? |

GreatResearcher: Fellow husbands in the house, are your wives attitudes while in marriage the same as when the were in courtship? I realized women characters change from almost good to very worst once they get married.
Most tmes we wonder if the women we got married to are they women we dated. What could be the cause of this change in character. Were the women you dated married to you at the time? |

And that's why we see the South African's guarding their Country so hard from people who they feel threatened from people they feel might take over in population from them. Nigerians also do the same, they just feel its justified when they do it but not when other people are. |
