Starboytwo:
I mean, I don't know, people already calling me selfish etc, thats my father's house, when everyone came to Lagos, they had nowhere to .go for meetings or reunion except the place...

Beside how much are they trying to sell for, how much go reach me and my bro...

I'm for renovating or renting or whatever, but outright sale is not good... It's also situated on the best part of that area, azin the house na number 1 for the street...

Azin I tire, sell house for lag, not inside one bush ooo, for a developing community in lag...

Any amount they sell for will be pittance compare to how much it will worth in 5 10 years from now. ..

I still insist selling is a very bad deal
From your post history, it's obvious why there is this problem as mentioned by you.

In polygamous settings, every outsider and passerby inputs in family issues.

In monogamous settings, the family has more control over who does. At least, there is less random publicity.

Not a good thing.

I wonder if the kids are doing well or not? They're supposed to aspire to have their own property if they consider it important.

That word "My" in your comment is even my concern. Even a woman married to a man with 2 wives cannot not call the man "my husband" without issues, the right thing to say is "our husband ".
It depends on how accepting the woman is of other wives.

Those who are ok with the situation say our husband.

Those who dislike sharing with other women say my husband.

Christianity Etc › Re: Lust Is A Common Problem For Many Christians Nowadays. What Next, After Lust. by nlPoster:
Reasons why Nigerian Christians experience lust:

-greed

- indiscipline

-carelessness

-loneliness

-work of the devil, ie carelessness

-unchristian attitude

-mental illness

I specified Christians here because of the belief they should not experience lust even though it's very commonplace among them .

I dont care.

That's not my priority at the moment, I'm not one of those who make it a habit to be judgemental.

I preach when necessary, other times I correct you if you need correction. Besides that I am not into nitpicking at the risk of my mental wellbeing.

It is obvious that OP does not know what a University Degree is.
Our folks are obsessed with being "better than" to the point where it gets painfully obvious just how far behind we actually are.

It's like running a race and all the other contestants intentionally go slower, and the winner (Nigeria) gets puffed up with pride.

Honestly I see no reason seeking advice or validation from a woman
First man to do that later got himself into trouble
Who was that?

Certainly not Adam. Nowhere in the bible says he sought advice from Eve. He just ate the fruit she offered.

Anyway, women like men, could give good or bad advice/validation. Gender does not confer wisdom.

If it's western technology then western maintenance is required in my opinion.

This just makes the story more ridiculous... Explain to me how Satan became the ruler of the world you claim God made.
When Adam and Eve gave their authority to the serpent, sin (satan) became the ruler and owner of the world.

So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this . . . you will eat dust
To the man he said . . ."for dust you are”

Travel › Re: U.S TSA Assesses Lagos Airport by nlPoster:
Unofficial Story

The US TSA visit is essentially meant to assess the vulnerability of the Airport's security architecture and how such vulnerabilities can be exploited either for the American benefit or in targeting them.
Obviously, the vulnerability is an established fact, going by how many security breaches have been occurring over the past few months. It's almost on a regular basis now. We of course did nothing about it that I know of (besides reporting and perhaps shrugging), thus encouraging the trend. Was there talk of a perimeter fence? huh

There's nothing to exploit but rather investigate the possibility of Nigeria being used to attack the western world.
Christianity Etc › Re: Signs You Are Losing Faith In God by nlPoster: 7:03pm On Jan 07, 2020
Satan is the owner of the world:

the devil. . . showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I'll give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
It was also given to him to make war with God's people and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him.
So if satan is out of the picture, the world he owns, would also cease to exist.

and what's with these dumb pseudo moralistic questions and "posits"

eg I am in love with a ten year old student at my job after being jobless for years

No man has ever not wanted a relationship with me

Is it a crime to marry a woman with five daughters

Boy or man says he fought sister for refusing to wash his clothes

etc etc.

Nairalanders sef, is it every ridiculous scenario you must rush to drop a comment? huh
Christianity Etc › Re: Signs You Are Losing Faith In God by nlPoster: 6:45pm On Jan 07, 2020
If satan ceased to exist then mankind would cease to exist, simple.

So God not being a wicked God, would rather save humankind than eliminate them.

There's nothing to debate about it.
