There is unity in progress, this is very commendable, that thing in the shadows is what I fear.

Pardon me, I dont usually have any opinion on Ekiti matters. I just shivered when I saw that thing is all.

Thank God for the wonder working power of Jesus.
Romance › Re: Read This, If Your Heart Has Been Broken Way Too Many Times by nlPoster: 12:53am On Dec 11, 2019
Always remember to look for the silver lining.

Heartbreak is not just about love/infatuation, sometimes it could be other things like career, expectations, personal advancement, friendship, goals, achievements, etc. Remember, not everybody who seems to be against you is your enemy, appearances can deceive especially on nairaland. I'm not saying there are no enemies however.

Nigeria's image can be very heartbreaking, but somehow a person has to look past that, for example.

One thing I hate in this forum is when someone types “I don’t get the essence of this thread” and it’s many forms of “I don’t understand what the thread means”, not to forget “all these big grammar, una no go kill person for this Nairaland.”. If one had poor education when growing up displaying it to the public is the last thing they should attempt. Anyway, we are online and in Nigeria where people do not understand the concept of shame or minding their own business.
well, I don't know what you mean for sure but I prefer if someone asks when they dont understand something.

what do you what to know again?
The story just feels incomplete somehow. I didn't say I want to know anything else.

But I think there were other factors involved, I could be wrong.

For example, you insinuated to your mum the maid was better than her? And after that the maid was told to sit on the floor? And you also criticized your mum to the maid?

She's from Kogi state, Ibira precisely. Not sure if I got the spelling. Thats how she pronounced it.

Do I look Igbo?
I'm chocolate in complexion. Neither fair nor dark. Don't know if that looks more Itsekiri or more Igbo.
Are you partly Igbo? huh

Like you mentioned, Nigerian tribes dislike each other much. I'm not sure why. Could be due to resources.

I did not say doctors are not needed. if there is a need for you to perform an operation whose aim is not to terminate a life, visit the doctors and go ahead but you still need to pray for the operation to be successful. In this case you may not need to ask God if you could do the operation because you would not be violating any of God's rule if you did but if the operation if aiming at killing one for the other to live, you cannot just go ahead. You need to hear from God or pray for his leading. And that is why we are given the Holy Spirit for such a time and occurrence.
Are you referring to abortion? Like in ectopic pregnancies?

There are red coloured roads in Nigeria, they're simply made of unprocessed clay, that's all.

I dont get this one:

That's why I laugh at all these boys labouring every moment of their lives to please women instead of labouring to make it in life. Opening threads, crying, feeling jealous because one smello is paying more attention to another guy, you go cry till kingdom come.
Who opened a thread like that?

Do you look Igbo? Or why would you assume she wouldn't know you're Itsekiri?

You also did not mention the lady's tribe.

What I've observed is some ethnic groups jell better with each other and some dont get along. Meaning some can work as a team and some prefer not to.

Quite sure he wasn't referring to the game.

He was a great man however, powerfully ministering for God. Even though (I just found out) many Nigerians did not approve of his message, he had the zeal to do mighty works for Jesus. Thank God for giving him strength to preach in Africa and beyond.

Family › Re: What Would You Do If Someone Called Your Kid Ugly? by nlPoster: 5:28pm On Dec 10, 2019
It's wrong to expect to hear anything positive about yourself when you eavesdrop?

There's too much potential for misinformation. Very few people would call a baby ugly in front of the parents. But when you take eavesdropping as if the person is talking directly to you, it's not good. You dont give the offender the chance for ambiguity in meaning. Same applies to reading comments on social media or nairaland. It's not always necessarily what you think and sometimes taking offence is not the required response. Other times it is perhaps.

Having said that, all babies are cute, and they are more cute when the parents make sure of it by giving them love and attention, cuddling, etc. Babies respond to those.

Nairaland should clarify what is going on, since most people know him because of publicity from the forum.
