use wakanow.com to check for the cheapest flight, then book from the flight site directly

you're only using wakanow.com to know the cheapest flight as per your dates of travelling. Then proceed to the flight's website and book from there.

Please members of the house,i'd like someone with experience and knowledge about written ticket,to throw more light on this.
Also,i'd like to know if one would still go for certificate attestation now if coming with 3months tourist visa to look for jobs, even if menial jobs for a start.
Again, would like to know the best answer to give an immigration officer when asked about your BTA ,ticket and an hotel reservation, should they try to inquire why one didn't pay for the hotel and what you are going for or so in UAE.This will be all for now.Thanks.

Can't answer for bta

Hotel booking without payment, if you have booked from booking.com as I earlier suggested, just tell them it's payment on arrival. Although, u shud knw the details of th4 hotel u boomed in case the ask cross-exam questions

Can one travel down without booking for hotel?Like telling whoever that ask that u have a bedspace that is reserved for you already.

Why would u want to try to spook the security agents when u can just go to booking.com and book for free hotel. Use booking.com to book for hotel, show them, your problem is solved

Is it true that some agents usually seize someone's passport and force them into prostitution, and is it also true that some house help turn into black sex slave to their employer

I think this is common in Saudi not Dubai.

Sure there is, but I won't advise u set out for uae binding ur mind on juz such job, have an open mind for smaller jobs in case things didn't fall as planned. Also, considering the discrimination against Nigerians over there, I think u really need to think twice, if u hv a reasonable paying job here in naija already, mayb u shud considered the risk (90-10) before setting out for uae.

my advise/summation is based on what i've learnt from this thread and advise of frnds in uae

Ifyalways I think u owe apology to NONNYG, if 2 persons hv testified that they've met him and so far no one can he's a scammer. In terms of uae advise he has alwyz maintained it's 50:50 and some pple here even me hv alwyz hammered on the discrimination on Nigerians, infact this why I'm yet to travel to uae bcoz my friends alwyz update me on things happn'n there and I've alwyz shared with the house on those updates.

steezyhere I'm sorry to hear what ur agent did, but I still blame u somhw. If u follow this thread vry well, many pple hv alwyz advised to go to uae not banking on what agents hv said to U, except if u applied for job from Nigeria ursef and u're sure the company u applied online is real. On the advise u dished for pple to look at Europe, China, etc, hv u taken ur time to study how those travelling to these places convert or get resident? Most pple consider uae bcoz u easily get resident once u land a job.

In conclusion, this particular thread, infact just this part (part 3) is enough for any1 travelling to uae to knw wat s/he shud xpect wen moving to uae. Any still banking on wat agents hv said after reading this thread shud blame himsef.

Please house is it true that it is only difficult to get a job in Dubai only when you don't use agent? My agent told me that immediately I arrive with three months visa that their agent will get me a job before one month elapse, I told him that I heard that getting a job is 50/50 he said that's for those who did not use agent to search for job.....please I want to know if my agent is right before I give him money to process the visa for me...please I need your urgent response

if u hv ever been to an igbo man shop to buy spare parts or electronics before, that is the situation u are in right now, that igbo will do evrytin possible to see u buy spare parts from him......if u look up in this page u'll see NONNYG telling steezyhere that getting job is 50:50. So, if u hv made up ur mind to go with ur agent better prepare for the worst and assume that the chances is 50:50. Good luck!!!

Nobody is going to tell you if you will get a good job or not cos no one's father, has a school or company in the uae. Your Nigeria certificates might even be useless. So it's nt a guarantee at all. So many brothers with good results doing cleaning jobs, but you still can't compare it with Nigeria. When you get to Dubai, try and do a professional course in teaching, you can search www.edarabia.com for a list of professional courses available and the institutions offering them. This is suppose to give you an edge. Even if you can't get a "good job", you can start somewhere like others did. The longer you stay there, the more you know about what works and what doesn't. Rome wasn't built in a day. You are better off in Dubai with a cleaning job that pays 1000aed, with free accommodation, transportation and sometimes feeding than a teaching job that pays you 30/40k in Nigeria. And you get to provide these things for yourself. Just do your handwork well before you fly. Peace

Towards the ending, u made some very important analysis. I can't imagine graduates earning 50k as salary in this country, where u'll be the one incharge of all ur basic needs.

Same issue with mine. Some people are saying there is no more half or full visa.. Agents are still banking on that to collect more money. The half visa requires you visit uae embassy at abuja for a stamp on your passport before you can travel, while the full visa allows you to travel with the visa printed out and when you get to the poe, you get stamped. The full visa is less stressful too. But for now, all visas issued in the uae are full visas. This is the little I know.

If ur agents are insisting that there's stil half/full visa, and u trust he knws he's job as an agent but juz trying to exploit you more on the full visa, I tink u juz bargain with him and allow him to do the full visa, since he knws he's job. But if u hv any doubt he doesn't knw what he is saying then simply look for another agent.

I'll be going to Churchgate nxt week, if I do i'll confirm from uae embassy if they still issue half/full visa

Hello bro and Sis, good evening please beware of this Agent is name is Henry he's from Cameron he's in many group and he has his own group. He has got many Whasapp account he's using to scam people. He collects 2000 Aed thats 200000 Nigerian naira each From 10 people for security Job and the job was fake he was tracked today by using some logic by asking him to come and meet us at Sharjah bus station we called the Police and they locked him up after some investigation he lied that he never knew us and said we tracked him in other to rub him think of it if we want to rub him Will we bring him to Sharjah Bus station? But he lie to police that he doesn't know us and that we are lying though they release him because we don't have written agreement of how we pay him the money and they said we should take the Case to court. Because he think we don't have written agreement now he think he will win us by even lying that we Call him to rub him though we may not win the case cos we don't have written agreement between us I'm posting his picture for everyone. Copied

you don't need to have a written agreement before you can win a case. You can enter in a contract verbally, all u need to do, is to prove the payment made to him, once u do that you have a case.

Thanks for enlightening the public about his dubious act.

When you see them , you know them. They would rent big office spaces , dem will pretend to be big companies but they’re huge fraudsters . I’m on 8th interview and they’re all fraudsters! That is the receiptionist . A Nigerian lady collided with the Filipinos to scam young black African seeking jobs in the uae . I Saw over 24 Nigerians there waiting to be interviewed. She say make I pay security deposit of 2,500 and then pay for my employment visa which is 8,000. I smiled and said God will help me and I walked out . Bro , it’s not easy! They will tell you no Africans when you call for interview and they here you’re African . They hang up! I have more the 2 months left in my job search . Anyone with link abeg ! I have several online and walk in interviews I’m still doing though , one day one day e go just better ! God job with real company go come my way ! Spent about 9 days in the uae now ! I have got 81 days left to get a job ! It’s very nice country but na God dey help person

Nigerians always attaching themselves with fraud abroad, thereby making it difficult for innocent ones to get job easily. God will help this country.

Why not draw the attention of such fraudsters to law enforcers @haniejay. At least let's start gaining some credit from there, #seesomethingsaysomething

I followed this trend from day one, years now.. was planning to go to Europe but no enough money,. I took the Dubai visa, but my agent scammed me, so I had to just fly with three months visa. I entered Dubai, with 150k naira, when I got to dubai, I knew no one, no family. Told no soul I was coming to Dubai, trust me, I told no soul.. when I got to Dubai, I checked dubizzle for apartment, then I met someone even in the plane that said he could help me but I'll pay him 400aed monthly, I agreed, but when we got there I couldn't stay, I wasn't comfortable with the standard, also the problem was, it was a company accommodation for security,so he snicked me. So I went back to get an apartment online for 1000aed in albarsha. I also subscribed etisalat 100aed... I was left with like 30k naira.. I kept going for interview, my roommates were all Arabs, they helped me by giving me food sometimes. I went to a lot of interview but I changed the kind of job I was applying, I started applying for dish washer, house keeping. But luckily I got a job without interview,.. the story is so long, but I can't tell all, there were times I cried, staved. The day I got the job, that morning I was kicked out cos my rentage expired. My current job is in mall of the Emirates as a waiter, I get 3600 monthly salary, plus others like tip and sale commission, in a month I get a total of over 5000aed.. it was grace, I went with 3 months visa but I had just one month to get a job or I'll be deported...
My advice is even if u decide to use agent, be enlightened, search for job urself too. Cos agent jobs are basically poor pay most times
Also make sure u know how to use Google map,
Do subscription maybe 2aed a day or monthly
Ask questions, don't limit your self to blacks, .. integrate with Egyptian Arab, Indians and Philippine
Sleepless night pays. Just get a job to extend your visa, after 6 months change ur Job.. just make the right choice, tbh Dubai is not a perfect place.

wow, wonderful experience bro, i knw my story will be like this bcoz i've been preparing for it for so long....may God continue to promote u

I'm pleading with all Nigerians in diaspora to always represent us well, with what we are passing thru in uae and other countries around the world, I'll say this is simply what we brought upon ourselves. You can imagine, a friend of mine was told how well she was at an interview but will not be taken simply bcoz the Director had a bitter experience with a former Nigerian staff; employers prefer Filipino, Indian, Sri Lanka before considering Africa and in Africa, they consider every other African before Nigerian, this is really bad.

Our Nigerian brothers/sisters over there will collect agent fee juz to help with job even when they knw u're frustrated, must we put money before everytin For once, I've seen something I juz can't blame our leaders of.

This is somtin we need to start considering; around the world the name Nigeria means evry bad tin u can tink of. I'm begging those of us in uae to kick start a campaign where we can rebuild a good name for Nigeria and Africa. Let consider our unborn children, what future are we planning to leave for them, with all that is happening will they ever going to be able to transact business with other countries during their time without being tagged 'fraud', 'cheat', 'fighter', and evry other bad names we're known of today

Again, this particular issue is something we can't blame our evil leaders for, these things we brought on ourselves, and we shud take responsibility to fix it.

Now, I've been following this thread since this year, and i've been in touch with people over there as well. My msg to all those still intending to move to uae, it is important we understand that the journey is not going to be a rosy one, forget evrytin ur agent must hv told u, from all indications, they are only trying to make their agent fee from u and that's all.

For me, i've seen enough reason to say to hell with uae, but i have even enougher/enoughest reason (if there's any word like that) to leave this country Nigeria; my only regret was why I never thought of it earlier before now. I used to have a very booming business not until it started going down and finally I could not continue with the rent and have to close it up.

Bro at this point all she needs is encouragement. Yes you warned her, but bro let me ask you, did u remember the reason why you yourself left Nigeria in the first place? Yea, I bet you; it might interest you now that the case in Nigeria is times 10 of what it used to be 3yrs back. In this country called Nigeria it is no even encouraging investing your in any business anymore, bcoz the chances that u won't realize ur capital is high. If business are moving in this country I dn't think any1 wud spend almost or over a million juz to leave the country.
