the UAE Embassy is very close to Churchgate, the Abuja Metro station, former new market; from Wuse take taxi going to area 1, stop at Churchgate, ask where uae embassy is, it's trekable from where the taxi will stop u; or better still, take cab frm wuse, to uae embassy at churchgate shud be around 250 - 300.

I advice everyone to stay away from Middle East if your aim is greener pasture.i have spend 4years working in those countries Uae qatar Oman Bahrain and got nothing out until I came back to naija to start a biz. I was desperate like others and willing to travel out and never knew I can make it in naija because I was hopeless before I travelled.pls find something you are good at and work on it start a biz or services rendering .once you are good in naija,vacation is all you need to those countries.

I had planned visiting Qatar on holiday in the nearest future but I don't think I will ever visit Qatar again. No need wasting my money, their immigration can be unreasonable at times. Also, I will never fly Qatar airways again. I will rather fly Emirates.

So I visited the US Las month and booked my flight with Qatar airways. Since the stopover took over 8 hrs, Qatar airways gave me a complimentary accommodation. The accommodation could either be inside the airport (no need for entry visa) or in DOHA town (an entry visa would be obtained for me by the airline) depending on availability.

The first leg to the US was smooth. Got to Doha and an accommodation was gotten in town so an entry visa was obtained. I preferred an hotel in the airport as it would increase my resting time.

The issue came with the second leg on my way back to Nigeria. I asked for an hotel inside the airport cause I was tired and did not want the stress of long transportation to town but was told they already reserved one in town.

So after over 45 mins, a Qatar airways official comes and says their immigration did not grant me an entry visa. I was mad. On what basis? Because I am on my way to Nigeria? It did not just make sense to me.

Oya, give me a hotel in the airport, I don't need an entry visa for that....the official said they didn'thave a reservation for me in the airport. Bottomline, I had to look for a chair to sleep and rest for the next 9hrs.

So I have made up my mind. No more Qatar airways and no holidays in doha ever..... except of course the World Cup in 2022.

If I want to holiday in the Middle East, I will do UAE. If I want to fly a Middle Eastern airline, I will fly Emirates.

In all these, I blame our government,...the citizens of this country are like Sheep without Shepard; our government doesn't care what happens to us

How can I track tstv with my smart TV inbuilt decoder. I'm able to get mbc channels and some Ghanaian channels and few Nigerian channel like galaxy TV and core TV. How can I get tstv channels , there's nothing like nigcomsat on it?

the channels u describe are on 26/28 degrees, now all u need to do is add another lnb for 42 degree (that's about 6-7 inches above the already tracked 28 degree) track using 12589 H 30000,...so it's either u change ur cable to watch 42 (tstv) or 26/28 (mbc/ghanian),..or u buy disecq and connect both satellites. Hope this help

Thanks to everyone making input to the progress of this forum. May God bless us all. My Employment Visa is out from Dubai and my agent has sent it to me. He told me that I have two options, one is to book my flight ticket on my own and let my company know when I wish to arrive at Dubai for easy pick up or company book and pay for my flight with their company seal and pick me up. I accepted for company to book it and pay for me and he told me he has notified the company. Since one week plus we discussed this, I have not heard from my agent or seen the booked flight ticket from the company. I am worried because my employment visa expiration is on 12th of September, 2018. What will I do now friends. He has told me already that I don't need to go Abuja for any stamping or bio metric that I only need to print out my employment visa, my air ticket incass the company sent it and my passport and board my flight and come directly to Dubai that I will be doing my medicals and other stuffs in Dubai by my company.

Have you confirmed the your visa to be valid? If yes, then I think he has passed the stage to scam you, if you're thinking that. As for the medical, doing it in Nigeria is in ur own best interest, so that u'll knw ur status of HIV, hepatitis and other disease that might get you deported. If u ask me, it's better u knw ur status, so that u dn't go over and be deported. Good luck!!!

According to the agent the offer include free accomodation and flight ticket but he never discuss who will take care of feeding (which I think it should be me) and he didn't say anything concerning the overtime but to be sincere am tired of being jobless in Naija that's why I committed myself to this.

i don't think most employers offer feeding,except if it's resturant or hotel,...what u shud be concern is transport and accommodation, if those 2 are provided for u, then 3,200 is gud, bcoz the only u think of is feeding, no matter how u can save 2,500 in a month that's if u're spending much sef,....as for the contract u're asked to sign; i think there might be extra pay aside 3,200 wch if u sign the agreement u will not be able to claim. Like alexyontop said, be sure of the working hours, that will determine u free time for other things u intend to do, like taking professional course, etc...good luck

The Above was the response I got after booking my appointment with the Embassy. My Visa is supposed to be a tourist visa. Do I need to do Medicals or is this just the generic response that everyone gets whenever they book appointment? Please educate me.

If you're actually going for tourist; those are the requirements without medical report. But, if u intend searching for job when u get uae, then u need to obtain the medical report from Garki Hospital, bcoz u'll need it for job in uae.
