Hello guys, I already got a job in Dubai from Nigeria. They pay 23,000 AED. Have signed all the docs with HR. But now, I have some questions:

1. Is that enough money to leave well in Dubai? Nigerian perspective
2. They are helping to work out visa stuff against my start date. Will it be possible to get my UAE visa here in Lagos. I guess this is a dumb question, just wanted to ask about the possibilities cause it will stressful for me visiting abuja.
3. They are offering a $4000 relocation allowance. Can this get me a good house for a year?

I am currently in a dilemma now. I applied for the job in Dubai and one in america. Although I would prefer to immigrate to america, the company haven't given me an offer yet. I am just scared I would start working in Dubai for a few weeks and then get the offer. It will be a dick move to leave in that fashion.

Bro budget money for ur accommodation. Nobody is ready for that unless u hv someone in Dubai which is not even guaranteed he will agree to accommodate u.
Bedspace is 60k per month including the utilities like light, gas and Wi-Fi. Atleast carry ur house rent for 3months. If u get work before one month Na still ur gain. Then budget money for transportation. U will get a bus card 2500 in our Naira. U use it for traveling with public transport except taxi. Then carry all the food stuff u can lay ur hands on. Vegetables, egusi, Ogbono. Provisions. Grinder pepper. Maggi. Except red oil. If possible Carrington ur plate and spoon with tea cup to minimize ur expenses wen u come. Gooduck

With all the money that has been spent, to be spent, biometric, 30k abi na 70k to bribe for quick processing, document attestation, all those waiting working days, BTA, money for accommodation,

With all due respect, with this ur mindset Dubai is not for u. Like it or not, Nigeria is a cause!!!...Truth while some pple are making it in Duabi, some are not; but it's also true that the pple making it are much more than those that are not. Now, come bck to Nigeria, it's the opposite, those that are hustling, as in seriously hustling oo and yet are not making it are much more than those that are juz sitting and at the same time packing all the money to themselves.

Now the truth is that companies here don't prefer Nigeria, they even prefer Uganda to Nigeria. In my company here I can count how many Nigeria's r here. The truth is that Nigerians let their anger too soon. U will c in a company where there is quarrel n the first person to start a fight is a Nigeria. The boss of course will be angry with him n even sack him(even if he is right). Do you think if that boss will wants to employ another nigeria?
The good ones r here(I am part of them) n r trying to change the thought. Because if an armed robbery attack happens now n its Africa, the first country they will think of is Nigeria. "Some Nigeria guy's attack a bank" even if it is not.

Brother, may God bless you very plenty...I wrote that out my experience and som1 is countering it. Probably, mayb the part of Dubai where he is, he didn't see what other Nigerians are passing thru. But frm what I'm seeing it doesn't speak well for those here and those that are yet to come.

Plz we shud try to give ourselves gud names, I felt bad when an interviewer wud say "I wish you're from Sri, Nepal, India, or even Uganda". Not bcoz u were not qualified but bcoz som1 else have dent our image.

Some of the employers who really love what they see in ur cv will take the time to tell that we Nigerians are known for problems, we thief, we fight, that we are not honest.

Honestly the way they are fearing Nigerians in UAE, no employer wants to employ a Nigerian. Even if ur interview is going smoothly, the moment u mention u're a Nigerian; that's the end of the interview. They prefer Filipino, India and even Nepal to us.

Please let's alwys try to protect our image. It's really becoming somtin of concern. If our govt doesn't give sh*t about us, why do we have to block our own ways with out hands...At the end of the day, it's still us (the hustlers) that suffers it.

This is about 7weeks time, please is this normal because it's a tourist visa

May 26 is 17 days from today and Yes, After paying 30k, u'll call the number to book an appointment for ur biometerics. But i tink in ur case u did not hear the date given to u very well, bcoz May 26 is on Saturday, except if UAE Embassy work on Saturdays.

No, it's not the temporary visa, if the temporary visa is not valid u'll not be given an interview date in the first place. I think it's the interview itself, juz like in the case of US Visa.

I tried speaking to some of the guys denied to knw the reason, but the were not in the mode to talk. So i'm assuming it was denied based on the interview they had.

After biometrics, u'll submit ur passport and go back the nxt to knw ur fate (either u're being issued a visa or u're denied). So, NO...u can't get it same day.

It's best you confirm from the embassy in Abuja. When my girl went for her biometrics she didn't require any medical report, although she said some pple had medical report from Garki hospital with them.

I don't really tink the medical report is necessary bcoz the company in dubai will still have to carry out their own test before issuing u a resident visa and emirate ID. But all the same, when u get to the embassy u'll be told if it's a necessary.

PLEASE i need some assistance here on something bothering me it happened that i traveled to UAE last year(2017) november on 3 months visa after i get a job this year january the Hr of the company told me that day that the PRO that will run around for my visa processing is not around that time that if they are unable to complete my processing before my tourist visa expirers i will have to exist and come back after they complete the process which i agreed ( though i still continue searching o maybe i can find the one that can do it on time ) but unfortunately when the pro resume and started the processing UAE introduced this PCC requirement on feb 4th but my visa remains only 6days that time so i dont have any option than to come to naija and get the stuff done but when an coming the company gave me 500aed to get the PCC(i have my offer letter and thump printed labour contract copy).
I arrived naija on feb 9 So when i finished the PCC ATTESTATION i scanned it to them as instructed by the PRO on feb 22, since i've waiting for my employment visa but whenever i called them they will tell me they are still waiting for it from the system at embassy but when the frustration is becoming unbearable for my innocent PRO he sent me the application number he used to process the visa and tell me to also be checking it myself but whenever i check it, it will show APPLICATION UNDER PROCESSING AT THE EMBASSY but this week thursday he sent me a document which contains UPDATE WORK PERMIT INFORMATION with my details and work permit number written in arabia and english but he said i should take it to embassy and and complete the processing
so with this will i need to do medical and biodata please i need urgent and helpful answers

I think with the UPDATE WORK PERMIT INFORMATION the PRO sent to you, u need to take it to UAE Embassy to Abuja, make payment of N30,000 for biometeric; after which u'll be issued a residence visa (in your int'l passport) from the embassy.

For immigration every desk they ask me where do you work? What are going to do in dubai. Those guys serious wella but I smile through some and bluff through some.
