PoliticsRe: Gana: Wantor Akwaza Demands 5 Billion Compensation From FG by Noblejay7: 7:03am On Sep 11, 2020
I think some politicians who he worked for as a thug connived with the military to silence him.

Recall that he once granted an interview to Channel's TV in which he accused those politicians of contacting him to do some killings in TARABA .

We must condemn extra-judicial killing but at the same time KARMA is always a bitch.

PoliticsOpinion : The Subsidy Had To Go By Ugo Egbujo. Do You Agree? by Noblejay7(op): 1:27pm On Sep 04, 2020
The subsidy had to go.

Let me not break tables today.

But know it.

Nigeria imported DPK- Kerosene.

And allocated it to marketers at one quarter of the landing cost in the name of helping the poor.

At some point Nigeria imported DPK to land Offshore Lagos at 150 -160 Naira per liter.

And sold it at 41 naira per liter.

Oya let start from the basics.

Many marketers paid One million dollars to grease palms and get allocations. It was routine stuff.

At some point it was one million dollars for 10 million liters.

If such a marketer sold 10 million liters in Apapa at ex tank price of 150 per liter then he would make

100x10,000,000 = One billion.

One billion then was over 5 million dollars.

So without breaking any sweat, beyond staying in a 5 star hotel in Abuja for 4 days, an average tank farm owner in 2013 would make at least 4 million dollars on a small allocation of kerosene.

Now let me tell you, some marketers who were TANning all over the place, got these locations for fun.

Then they would take a few trucks of kerosene and go to some stadia to share to the poor.

Chai!

But what about the big marketers?

The Big marketers took the kerosene outside bar,

Moved to Offshore Lome or Cotonou

Converted the Kerosene to Jet A1 and sold to West African countries.

Let's do the maths.

No that's maths will damage my calculator.

These guys took government kerosene at one quarter of the price turned it to JET A1 and switch it into another vessel and brought it back in to sell in dollars to airlines.

The subsidy was madness.

The country way throwing away money like a hushcountry .

All those guys in DPR and PPMC knew.

The Pepper was too much for them to remain saints.

The governments used these things to rase funds for elections.

Everybody was fvcking the poor in the interest of the poor.

Things have happened in this country.

And let me tell you.

Somethings are still happening.

That is why total deregulation is what the poor man needs now.

I hear some poor people shouting,

Bring back our subsidy!

Phew!

The Bible is right,

My people perish for lack of knowledge.

We were subsidizing the entire west Africa with cheap petrol through our porous borders.

sometimes the queue of trucks at our northern borders heading to Burkina and Mali would stretch kilometers.

And boats were everywhere around badagary shipping petrol westward.

Nna make una forget that subsidy thing.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Government Recruitment In Nigeria Is Scam: What Happened In Oyo State by Noblejay7: 10:46am On Sep 02, 2020
Job racketeering in Nigeria is no longer a hiding thing. In fact even HR guys in the private sector now syndicate jobs in exchange for money.

To get a government job now, you must either get a slot through a politician/big man in government or you are willing to pay for it.

Nigeria needs help !

Covid 19: NSCDC recruitment process is on hold

The attention of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has been drawn to the activities of some fraudulent persons using various dubious means ranging from text messages, social media platforms and forged letters to invite unsuspecting members of the public for job interviews in a purported recruitment exercise by the Corps.

In the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC, our top priority is the wellbeing of our country and community.

We are monitoring the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and are continuing to follow the latest Government advice.

To keep everyone as safe as possible, we have decided to put on hold our recruitment process but all shortlisted applications remain ‘live’.

In view of this, it has become necessary to state firstly, that the NSCDC is not currently conducting any form of interview, training or screening.

Whenever such an exercise is imminent, members of the public would be duly informed through the NSCDC official website, National dailies as well as on our official social media handles.’

Furthermore, the NSCDC recruitment process is devoid of recruitment agents, hence anyone who claims to be operating in such capacity on behalf of the Corps is a fraudster.

The Commandant General, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Abdullahi Gana Muhammadu wishes to advise prospective applicants to promptly report anyone who solicits for payments for recruitment into the Corps to the nearest NSCDC formations.

You can reach the NSCDC team through our online chat, which you can find on our website, or on social media, and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.

The NUJ also needs to take an action against him. They should demand for an appology and if he refuses, NUJ can order it members not to give coverage to that his useless tour.

Better late than never. The banking sector is a great place to learn especially if you have passion for entrepreneurship.

Why not leverage on your experience. Register a company and think of a financial service you can register. Consider the following

1.You can syndicate little loans to federal civil servants at a moderate interest rate. Compel them to give you standing instructions on their salary account which you can execute via remita platform.

2.Open and operate POS or mobile money shop
3. Start a company that can handle address verification for banks.
4.Start a finance blog
5.Start a loan recovery agency
6. Team up with a law firm and help customers review their bank statement with a view to helping them recover excess bank charges
6.Register a company and use your contact from the bank to hustle for contract.
7.Partner with a licensed BDC and trade FX or trade USD the mallam way

Joseph Inokotong, Abuja

President Muhammadu Buhari has renewed the tenure of the Commandant General (CG) of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Abdullahi Gana Mohammadu for another five years.

The CG broke the news while receiving a surprise fifth-year anniversary packages, gifts, cards and many goodwill messages from personnel at the Corps National Headquarters, Abuja, yesterday.

Gana urged the Corps personnel to be patient, tolerant and allow integrity to be their watchword while discharging their duties.

In a statement, the CDPRO, DCC Okeh Emmanuel said “the CG in appreciation of the gesture from the personnel revealed that Mr. President Muhammadu Buhari, through the Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has extended his tenure after successful five years tenure in office.

“He prayed that God will use the extension to bless and move the Corps forward, while further encouraging the personnel to continue praying for the Corps within this period of tenure elongation and all hands must be on deck to move the organisation to the next level”.

Gana maintained that he is proud of the Civil Defence uniform and vowed to do his best in raising the morale of personnel and the general fortunes of the Corps without leaving any bad legacy behind.

He said that the system can be cleansed of all unpleasant cynosures and indiscipline under any guise if all the staff rally round each other to actualize the vision of building a formidable organisation with highly trained and disciplined personnel with exceptional capabilities to navigate the security terrain and achieve results where others are failing.

The Corps helmsman reiterated that there are many reasons to thank God for the achievement made so far and assured that the coming days will be better than the previous because he is carefully putting structures that will stand the test of time and secure the future.

He assures the personnel of better welfare packages and condition of service as he is coming up with policy documents on personnel welfare and the Agro rangers programme where over 5000 well-trained personnel have been deployed to provide physical security for the agricultural sector.

He cautioned the personnel not to allow any in-fighting to destroy the organisation as any crack on the wall is capable of rocking the boat and truncating the collective interest of the organisation.

He assured that the corps under his watch will ensure effective execution of its mandate, most especially the new baby which is the Agro rangers.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: NSCDC Recruitment 2019: How To Apply For Nigeria Civil Defence Corps by Noblejay7: 10:51am On Jul 16, 2020
I think part of the reason for the delay is that federal government is yet to release funds to MDAs. Thank God the president has signed the amended budget.

Hopefully, MDAs will receive 50 percent of the budgeted funds by month end. All things being equal, if the funds are released, NSCDC should release and call successful candidates latest august.

In summary, apart from the delay caused by Covid-19 , funding was also a challenge bearing in mind that this is a major recruitment .

EducationRe: National Open University Of Nigeria (NOUN) Students by Noblejay7: 10:50am On Feb 16, 2020
I wrote my final examinations last semester and to the best of my knowledge I have written and passed all my required courses including my project report. Unfortunately my name is not on the convocation list (including the supplementary list ) .

A friend suggested I write a complaint letter to my study center another is telling me that may be I still have some courses still pending that I need to take or my name will appear in next year list as such I should be patient.

The idea of me having pending courses sounds likely but the Noun portal has no provision for viewing this until registration payment is made. What if I pay and register for this semester only to now discover I don't have pending courses.

I want t to appeal to the management of NOUN to make the portal more interactive for easy access to information. The study centers should also be forthcoming with information when students with this kind of issues approach them as so many students are currently having similar issues .
