ogoamaka99:Yes . . . and morover, the scriptures also assert that "By their fruit you shall know them" Mat 7:16 The fruits of the above names runs parallel to the fruits that Christ sowed. |
dorox:I am tempted to say that ur comment is both IDIOTIC and unintelligent. . . , . instead of saying that, I would like to ask, on what basis do u say that God does not speak to anyone? do u know God? did He tell u that He does not speak to anyone? |
Ignatio:it does happen . . , .God speaks directly to those who genuinely serve Him. remember Christ promised another comforter who will remind us of all truths. God speaks . I hear Him very often, as such I personally testify that He still speaks, just as it was written the scriptures of His conversations with the prophets. Martian:I am tempted to agree with u , . . .but u just described FALSE prophets here. . . who fleece the flock with juicy promises unfounded in the gospel of Christ. So while ur above analysis "may be" true, it does not describe genuine Christians but refers to holy charlatans. petres_007:you are not the first person to laugh in tongues . . . .we have been laffing in tongues at pastor Jo's gospel for a very long time. Nice to see ur debunking of Jo's false teachings, , the question is what motivates Jo to twist the scriptures? |
ogoamaka99:did God ever tell u personally that any of these guys are His field marshall? of a truth . . , their works does not testify of Christ . . . . , neither does Christ testify of them. So how did u come to the conclusion that these fraudsters are of God? |
slap her buttom |
Joagbaje:his right is not in dispute here . . . . but the question is "are those utterances Christ-like? do they reflect the spirit in him?" |

^^^ There are many issues with this tithing doctrine. but looking at it from an insightful point of view and also assessing your example. . . .I can say that the general premise for tithing is wrong. 1. based on your example of the family practising the tithing, they do so in hope for some reward or financial blessings. there is absolutely no spiritual or physical proof that anyone paying tithe is better off than those not paying. like u rightly said, indoctrination is playing a key role. an average person worshipping in KICC london here, would think that the things of God including salvation is for sale considering the way and manner mather ashimolowo asks for seed for anything u were asking for. . . .the poser is, is this the same gospel JC taught? did Jesus charge anyone for anything? 2. I am not aware of any explicit biblical verse that commands Christians to tithe. the last commandment of Christ was that we love all just like He loves us. The interpretation of this commandment was what we saw in the book of Acts. . . .where the early converts sold ALL that they had and shared amongst themselves, taking good care if the poor. They gave ALL without any hope of an earthly reward. 3. why would any one who claims to follow JC expect earthly goodies in return? did JC emphasise this? The reward for being a part of His kingdom was to reap eternal rewards in heaven or afterlife and not a life of private jets and yatchs. 4. I am concerned about where the money actually goes. if the money is genuinely received on behalf of God. . . .then I would expect that Godly things would be done with the money. but Christ summarised it all. . .admonishing that "By their fruits we shall know them" |
^^^^ I agree with the above. Deepsight, do have a rethink. . , abdicating because of a nuisance is an acknowledgement of the vanity u are fighting against. Some of us would always love to hear ur opinions no matter what . . . , and come to think of it . . . . the OP was actually addressed to u. please do honour us with ur usually intelligent response. |
dare2think:Perhaps u need to understand what Jesus meant by LOVE. He loved everyone including the pharisees, but yet He never missed an opportunity to highlight their hypocrisy, sins and unrighteousness whilst emphasising their paths to destruction. Loving people is different from IGNORING evil. your post suggests that to love GAYS would mean to ignore their unrighteous path. while as Christians we are expected to LOVE everyone, as this is the last commandment from Christ, we are however not allowed to condone unrighteousness and sin. being gay is fundamentally and scripturally unGodly . . . . this does not equate to hatred. @ JoagbajeYour poser to Jo is the simplest poser that should serve as the yardstick to discern false prophets. Christ said that by their fruits we shall know them. unfortunately NONE of the prominent MOG on this planet today bears fruit that resembles that of Christ (the list includes Adeboye, oyaks, joshua, ashimolowo and their american counterparts) that they cannot even take good care of the sheep of Christ, like Peter was commanded to do. @otherswhile this might be ur personal conclusion, as u are entitled to ur opinion. The issue here is not what one is paying. . . .but on what basis is it being paid? why should anyone LIE to anyone that God said they should pay 10% of their gross income, hence they go to hell? did God say so? when? where? why? |
interesting discourse . . . , but the OP is not making any bold assertions other than what we already know. anything outside of the realm of the material or physical can be considered alien. the intervention of the spiritual if seen in the material can be described as alien or UFO manifestation, as in the case of Elijah and Moses. these facts in themselves do not change anything or present any knowledge to challenge the thoughts or belief system of genuine Christians. the return of Christ has always been portrayed in the scriptures as an alien invasion to wage war against unbelievers. the emergence of the antiChrist is also shrouded in his role in preventing or destroying this invasion. my point is that the concept of aliens or UFO is easily reconcilable to biblical concepts, in the context that these concepts elucidate a spiritual (alien) intervention in the affairs of men. what we have today is a satanic approach to twist this scriptural knowledge in suggesting that Christ is an enemy of man (an alien) when He returns to wage war against the anti-Christ. this is corroborated by biblical accounts that suggest that the beast was able to gather the kings of the earth to war against Christ. so depending on ur understanding and definition of the terms "alien" and "UFO" . . . . .the question is on which side do u belong . . . . . .Christ (the alien) or Satan (the antiChrist beast) |
^^^ I worshipped in mathew's church for quite a while . . .and never for once did he preach or emphasise on RIGHTEOUSNESS. why dont u ask him to run for president or seek political appointment since he knows so much about the economy and wealth creation? simply put . . , mathew is a gifted fraudster. |
abrahamzo:where in the bible did Christ mandate Christians to seek to financially dominate the world? |
@ OP the links to Jo's sins are broken, please provide the correct links. |

^^^^ stop being a lousy and ignorant clown. can u not notice the DISCONNECTION between ur beliefs and the title "pastor"? how many times has ur ignorance being repeatedly exposed on this forum? |
@ OP is AIO also not a fake/deceptive "pastor"? |
@ OP very sad . , a young child who has been possessed by a LYING spirit |
Joagbaje:really? u are just helpless dumb in Christian matters. what did Christ say about the source of the blindness of the blind man in the scriptures? was it he that sinned or his parents? what was Christ's response? the sufferings on earth, are largely as a result of man's original sin, which resulted in imperfection. for the wages of sin is DEATH . . . , ever heard that in the bible? that death is spiritual, connoting the removal of man from God's presence. satan is as helplessly powerless as oyaks is. they are both liars and manipulators. there is inexplicable suffering in this world because there is SIN. to the issue of Christian suffering . . . , the problem here is where did u get your brand of "microwave Christianity" from? Christ Himself was beaten badly with 42 stripes and later crucified. all the apostles died horrible deaths except John, the early church was lynched , . . , , so when did suffering become a big deal to true Christians? |
mazaje:ok . . . . I am qualified to talk about prayers just like anybody else. . . . .The FACT is that there is absolutely NO evidence whatsoever to show that those you pray to the God of the bible are better protected from harm or evil and sickness or recover faster from sickness or are richer or receive more favor than those that do not pray to the same God. . . . .NO evidence at all to show that those who pray to the God of the bible are in any way better than those who do not pray to him and that is the FACT. . . . . .this shows u dont understand the point of prayers. why should anyone pray n be asking God for protection? do they really know God? . . . .this is what Christ says . . . .mathew 6:25-34 25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[e]? 28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. I dont know where u got the message that Christians will not suffer persecution or evil that others suffer from . . .Christ Himself was crucified, peter was crucified upside down, Paul was beheaded, stephen was lynched to death, James was beheaded, John was imprisoned, Andrew was fried in hot oil. . . .the first church were lynched and killed incessantly. if the first generation of Christians could suffer this much. . . how much more latter day believers. The problem here is that u have been wrongly taught. . perhaps u attended chris oyakilome's church? Prayer works, how? About a year ago a friend of mine prayed before he embarked on a journey to go spread the word of his God in a remote village in Adamawa state in Nigeria, he prayed(I was there when he was praying) to God for protection and a safe journey but was involved in a car accident on the way, he has lost his ability to walk forever, if prayers work, he will NOT have had that accident in the first place, because the accident is of no use to him as a person, if his God existed and answers prayers he would have protected him from the accident the way a father always protect his children from harm, no?. . . . . .did ur friend read verses 5 - 8 5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. prayer is a personal communion between two persons who know each other . . did God ask him to go preach? was he doing this on his own will or based on instructions? I am not in any way passing judgement of ur friend, but the point here is, choosing to work for God is DIFFERENT from being called. is ur friend lamenting on this accident? Apostle Paul also had a ship accident on his way to preaching the gospel . . .that did not stop him from preaching. The point is thet tha Christian walk has NO earthly reward. I read not long ago of a bus full of Christian missionaries in Tennessee USA that was involved in an accident, some of them died, some lost their ability to see , other lost their ability walk and others were paralyzed for life. . . .Am sure they too must have prayed before the embarked on the trip because they were travelling to India but had an accident on their way to the airport. . . .No evidence to show that prayers works at all. . . . .People that pray and those that don't all suffer the same harm and misfortune and they all also receive the same share of happiness or good fortune. . . . .can u testify that they were all walking with God in obedience? remember that God sees and knows all things. |
mazaje:cant u see that u are not qualified to talk about prayer? its like a novice attempting to explain a medical surgery process and dismissing his ignorance cos he lacks understanding. prayer works. what is prayer? prayer is a communion to the invisible creator of all things. if u dont believe in a creator or superior being, how can u believe in prayer? |
Joagbaje:really? what EXACTLY in that verse suggests that He was referring to Jews and not believers? Its appalling the length u go, just to cover for oyaks. |
Yes I have read the bible from cover to cover and found it a very great experience. was and still remains very influential in my walk with God. |
this confirms what we all know . . .churches are entertainment centres. |
is sweetnecta the same old olobowale? |
@ OP quite an impressive narrative. . , but Christ said that by their fruit we shall know them. Oyedepo is NOT of God. QED. sleekymag:100m scholarship to go to his own schools? what EXACTLY did Christ command peter to do? Even John D. Rockefeller (not a pastor, but an entrepreneur), the richest man of his time, was a tither, from an early age. Four generations after, his family is being recognised as America's most successful family. And one of his favorite quotes is "If your only goal is to become rich, you will never achieve it." He ended up giving out most of his wealth, and this goes on even till today through the Rockefeller Foundation and many others.just hide ur ignorance . . . . .u know NOTHING about the Rockerfellas. |
mathew is a gifted fraudster. |
kreamstaff:so there is a curse on me because i expose a fraudster? where is that written in ur bible? who had the healed terminal disease? was it u? any proof? |
