I've read through your thread, and I must say the result obtained by your numerous clients is impressive (evident from the conversation between you guys as depicted in the chats and pix attached). I'm interested in your products but I need you to answer few questions first.
1. Why is it so easy for you to attach the screen shots of a conversation between you and your clients than to than to simply state the prices of your products.
2. Since you like to attach pictures so much, why is the picture of the products not attach?
3. Considering the fact the fact that you've been doing this for a while and since you like to share the testimonies of your previous clients, why is there no testimonies from registered nairalanders?
4. Can my order be delivered to me in Kaduna?

The Story is interesting but even as an Atheist(Oops, still evolving, not sure what to call myself for now) who have spent some time studying the Quran, its obvious that he quoted Quaranic verses out of context. For example, he quoted Al-Nisa, verse 24 as a proof to the fact that it is permissible for Muslims to r.ape Jewish women upon defeating them.
Why make use of words like r.ape and sex when obviously the verses is talking about marriage, And even if you look at the verses before and after it, they are both referring to marriage.

Please let review the three verses

4:23. Prohibited to you [for marriage] are your mothers, your daughters, your sisters, your father's sisters, your mother's sisters, your brother's daughters, your sister's daughters, your [milk] mothers who nursed you, your sisters through nursing, your wives' mothers, and your step-daughters under your guardianship [born] of your wives unto whom you have gone in. But if you have not gone in unto them, there is no sin upon you. And [also prohibited are] the wives of your sons who are from your [own] loins, and that you take [in marriage] two sisters simultaneously, except for what has already occurred. Indeed, Allah is ever Forgiving and Merciful.

4:24. And [also prohibited to you are all] married women except those your right hands possess. [This is] the decree of Allah upon you. And lawful to you are [all others] beyond these, [provided] that you seek them [in marriage] with [gifts from] your property, desiring chastity, not unlawful sexual intercourse. So for whatever you enjoy [of marriage] from them, give them their due compensation as an obligation. And there is no blame upon you for what you mutually agree to beyond the obligation. Indeed, Allah is ever Knowing and Wise.


4:25. And whoever among you cannot [find] the means to marry free, believing women, then [he may marry] from those whom your right hands possess of believing slave girls. And Allah is most knowing about your faith. You [believers] are of one another. So marry them with the permission of their people and give them their due compensation according to what is acceptable. [They should be] chaste, neither [of] those who commit unlawful intercourse randomly nor those who take [secret] lovers. But once they are sheltered in marriage, if they should commit adultery, then for them is half the punishment for free [unmarried] women. This [allowance] is for him among you who fears sin, but to be patient is better for you. And Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.

in conclusion, from the verses above; muslims are permitted to marry from what their right hand posses and not r.ape them.
verse 24 in particular is talking about Muslims not allowed to marry married women except married women captured maybe after defeating their husbands (who happens to be infidels like myself) in wars

I'm not in any away saying that the Quran is perfect or the above verses even makes sense, but lets tell the story as it is, because my rebellion is not just for the fun of it, but i want align with what i know its the truth, so i hate it when someone is quoting scriptures wrongly just to sell his idea.

So far nothing is different in my life, just the fact that my Sundays are free.

Congratulations on your independence!
I don't think you really need to adjust your life style as an atheist, this is because our life style is the most natural and default way of life (remember babies are born atheists).
Myself as a Muslim that dumped Islam for atheism (i've been an atheist for a year now) and i realized that:
1. I no longer feel guilt within me how much more seeking forgiveness.
2. I'm no longer scared of the imaginary hell fire our Imams have been preaching about.
3. I don't need to worry about where i am going to after death, as i don't even know where i was before my Mum conceived.
4. No need for repetitive and boring exercise they called five daily prayers
5. No need for starving myself in the name of Ramadan fasting.

Allah and Yahweh don't seems to know the meaning of some words, pride themselves as merciful god but still threatening people with hell fire. ever wonder what mode of punishment they would've dish out to unbelievers if they were to be harsh gods.

I've been a registered member of this forum since 2009 but hardly visit religion section, but even when i do, i only visits threads related to Islam(as i used to be a muslim). I remembered vividly how i was shocked to the bone the first time i read through some post with arguments against god but the decisive one was one thread by Avicenna. That thread practically made me to dump religion. My family members are expecting Ramadan in the next few months, i can't imagine how sweet it will be to eat all through the holy month I can never thank nairaland enough.

Even if God exists, he is certainly a confused being that doesn't deserve to be worship... NONE OF HIS RELIGION EVEN MAKES SENSE AT ALL.

Hello tbaba, i actually admired your competency with respect to Islamic Issues, I'm presently agnostic but as someone who had practiced Islam in the past but left it because i'm not satisfied with some of its teachings. Even though i'm no longer a muslim but will like discuss Islam with you, i'd like to give islam a chance to see whether you can clear my doubts. The discussions could be here on nairaland or we can take it else where, but let me get your response first.

The bolded above caught my attention. All these stories are without evidence/proofs to back them up. I live in the north, Kaduna State to be precised. I've witnessed incidents where churches were under attack, neither jesus nor yahweh was there for his people. From the year 2000 till date over a thousand churches have been destroyed by the jihadists, not mentioning the number of worshipers that perished along, why did yahweh failed to protect these people or are they not his people?

The word "or" is used to connect words, phrases and even clauses which represent alternatives. The bold in your post i.e the "or" is used to connect the word 'Atheist' and the phrase 'rather an Agnostic'. It can readily be seen that someone can refer to you as either an Atheist or an Agnostic according to your post and the use of "or".

1) Fallacy of hasty generalization:

Some people are either ignorant or/and insincere in some of their beliefs...
Some of this people are into religion...

2) Fallacy of false cause:

You sounded like an authority in religious issues,probably that's why you pronounce my statements as being false. Well, i was referring to Abrahamic religions because that's the one i know so much about.

Firstly, I am of the opinion that you are smarter than some religious people though not everyone of them but to believe that you are 'more sincere' than every religious person just because you feel the religion you practiced is fundamentally flawed is very incorrect. This is at most your personal view on the matter.

Sincerity has to do with freeing oneself from pretense. Just as you are sincere as an Agnostic, some of your peers are insincere too. Some practice Agnosticism for very personal and insincere reasons just like you would find some religious people who practice religion because they are not sincere.

So sincerity really has nothing to do with whether someone is into religion or not. One can be insincere even when the individual leaves religion.

Talking about sincerity, i don't mean in all aspect of life rather with respect to our believes. How can an Agnostic be insincere when there is no reward attached to being Agnostic (As opposed to Pastors & Imams that get salaries for instance). I really believe that there are two reasons why people still practice religion:

1. Ignorance (i.e. not knowing much about the religion)
2. Insincerity - i.e. Worshiping God with the scriptures you know its not from him

The person that falls into category 1 will worship God with all sincerity of purpose but those in category 2 are fucking hypocrites.

Well, personally as an atheist or rather an agnostic i don't think i am smarter than religious folks, but one thing i know for sure is that i'm more sincere than ALL theist, at least for accepting that the religion I've practiced all my life is fundamentally wrong, rather than to continue to defend the indefensible.

you are one of the people whose posts i really like reading whenever i'm in religion section but on a serious note today i'm a bit disappointed with your responses as i expected you to hold up your hands and accept the fact Islam is synonymous with violence. There is no point denying what is so obvious, do you think its a coincidence that Muslims are fighting Buddhist in Burma? what about the Muslims fighting Jews in Gaza? What about those killing Christians in Nigeria? Not forgetting what is happening in Mali,Syria and so on. I don't have anything against Islam as all my family members are Muslims but the truth is that you guys must accept the fact that there is a problem that needs to be addressed, i strongly believed that Islamic clerics have shy away for too long, leaving in denials instead addressing the problem.
