yes 5 "countries" where crimes against humanity took place just like the Holocaust crimes. i still maintain the biafra he mentioned is the civil war biafra, and not an outright recognition of it.

you guess have right to watever you believe in, secession or whatnot, but i believe the whole issue is not been properly handled. you guess can protest ad infinitum, but until ur political classes actually stand up to the cause, sorry it's a lost cause.

Have any of you guys actually sat down to critically think of the protocols, the numerous beauracy dat will follow immediately say biafra is actualized.
he mentioned five countries, why did he subtitute nigeria with Biafra?

If you're making noise that "ikaki" is a Rukwo term found in ukwa dialect, I've kalabari and kirike dictionaries from which I can fish out thousands of Igbo terms currently in use. Maybe I can lay claims to those two tribes as Igbo afterall most of their ancestry was from Igboland.
When the time comes, the southern ukwa would rejoin their brothers in Abia state

PoliticsBiafra: Children Protest Namdi Kanu's Secret Trial by Noneroone(op): 7:10pm On Apr 23, 2017
The Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has adopted a new strategy of using children to protest against the secret trial of its leader, Nnamdi Kanu.
Children were used on the streets of Aba, Abia State to protest the release of the IPOB leader and to show displeasure over his planned secret trial.
In a statement by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, the pro-Biafra group stated that the new strategy of using children to protest would be carried to other parts of Igbo land.
The group urged women all over the South East to get ready as the next set of protests would be by women of the region.
The statement reads in part, “We commend the organisers and the children who came out for the children’s rally and peaceful protest against the secret trial pronounced by President Muhammadu Buhari against our leader.
“Children in Aba protested against the secret trial and illegal detention of our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and others who had been illegally detained since 14th October 2015 in kuje prison Abuja
“The children’s peaceful rally in Aba today is a lesson to the Nigeria Government and those who are sabotaging the struggle for the liberation of God’s people on earth which is Biafra.
“When our supreme leader and prophet of our time Mazi Nnamdi Kanu said it on radio Biafra, those who does not understand the language of heaven tagged it hate speech.
“The spirit of Biafra is now hovering everywhere around the world, arresting the good people for Biafra restoration and no man born of a woman can stop the liberation of good people of Biafra.
“The children’s peaceful rally today in Aba will soon go round the Biafraland in solidarity to our leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and for the restoration of ancient nation of Biafra.
“Also women in Biafraland should prepare for the women’s rally and peaceful protest against the sharia law and secret trial pronounced by Binta Nyako and for the restoration of Biafra.”
Recall that the Justice Binta Nyako-led Court had fixed April 25 to deliver ruling on whether to continue with its earlier ruling of Kanu being tried in secret or not.
Kanu alongside Chidiebere Onwudiwe, Benjamin Madubugwu and David Nwawuisi are currently standing trial on criminal charges before the Justice Nyako-led court.

because it is quite clear that with the level of development in the region as well as the presence of possibly competing groups like Niger Delta militants and IPOB, it's definitely looking more south Sudan.
i dont see any relationship between what u quoted and your reply. Btw, if you believe south east is beginning to look like south sudan it means you accept that nigeria is a zoo in the true sense of the word b'cos no region can match SE now in terms of development.

What do you think is the problem in Nigeria today?
How do you hope to resolve it when you get your Biafra?
What steps have been taken to eliminate the problems before getting Biafra?

These are questions that South Sudan failed to answer and landed them where they are today.
only illiterates use south sudan as example. Why dont you use singapore, israel etc all through the history of sudan the northern sudanese concentrated structures, wealth and institutions on the north. The only thing they bequeathed the south was forceful arabization and wars. It is natural that the northern sudan will perform better at least for now since al bashir who was the leader during much of the war is still their leader, using the same institutions and wealth.

Allann:
What exactly is your point? I don't seem to get you. Please don't be rude to me as I have not been rude to you. Let's address history.

My argument was not about who moved motion for independence first. Is it a bad thing for a people who is blessed with human and natural resources to demand for self rule /independence?

Agitation for self rule began shortly after the almagamation of 1914, and that was why the first political party (NCCNC) was formed. macaulay was the leader and Zik the deputy, because the entire south was a single protectorate. Then followed by series of conferences. All in the direction of self rule. In the same vain, 1946 Richard constitution broke the entire south into East and West. Macaulay died and Zik took over. What was their cause? As Richard constitution gave the signal that independence might come along ethnic /regional line, Action Group was floated in the West.

Why did they give self rule to the regions at diifferent times ?

So what is your point sir?
i should be asking what ur point is. You claimed awolowo's wanted the north broken into more regions as a condition for accepting indepedence but that is in contrast with what history says. Awolowo's party moved a motion for self rule while the north even resisted independence. Can a party run two conflicting agenda at the same time? Is there any formal action which proves your claims? Pls dont even hide your lack of point on the claim of rudeness.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria’s Breakup Is Inevitable – Senator Okurounmu by Noneroone(m): 8:57pm On Apr 22, 2017
Allann:
Enahoro moved for independence, and the north resisted because they felt they were educationally disadvantaged and might be oppressed. So Nigeria had to wait for 4years to address that concern.

Then based on this and other anticidents, Awolowo also felt that it would be dangerous to leave the north as a region(since politics is the game of number and the north had been unduly favoured by the British), despite the fact that they were not homogeneous in anyWay. He saw the danger of domination. Your people were too arrogant to see any danger. Rather they formed an alliance and blackmailed Awo into submission. Six years was too late for your people to wake up, and somebody was talking of One Ojukwu waking up in the morning to see what Awo didn't see.

Go and read history with open mind bros .
you just concured that awolowos party was the first to move self rule motion. They even went ahead to mock the north for not supporting the motion. What more nonsense are u talking? U think u can wake up and make unfounded claims.

The Igbos were the only ones Courageous? enough to take up arms and fight for Independence. And that was partly because it was Led by a Military Man with Billions to fund the War. Today, Nigeria has a Professional Military and Billionaires Love each others and might as well Kill their Families before lifting hand to touch each other. Again with over 500 Different languages, Tribes, people and Cultural how will the Country be shared? As we all know nobody wants any one Tribe to Boss over another. Not even a Single Village in Nigeria is United like that, they always see Difference and why that People shouldn't Boss over them. So how is this Break up going to come about? Ooopss I guess on the pages of Nairaland, Facebook, Instagram or Nigerian news papers. Make una they create una Illusion Countries while some bright youths are using the agricultural Revolution to become Millionaires daily.

I know you don't know that Nigeria could have gotten her independence in 1956 But for the fear of domination by other tribes nursed by the north. They held other tribes down till their fear was addressed.

I also know that you don't know that Awolowo insisted that Yoruba would not support one Nigeria independence until the north was broken into smaller regions.

My sister, go and find out the position of your people at the two occasions. Then you will know who woke up late, and claiming morning by mid day.
what is this one talking? Was it not enahoro of the action group that moved a motion for self rule when the north were clamouring for an extention of colonial rule? Yorubas are experts in history revisionism.

He only had problem with his ex-wife and not his family..
Let me brief you incase you don't..

Emeka and ex-wife were married for 16 years. Their union produced 4 children. The wife claimed that Emeka abused her physically. I think she was right. The guy looks aggressive( Just trying to paint a scenario). After that, there was a rumour out there that the wife had something to do with her pastor. Emeka decided to save his marriage, swallowed his pride, met with family, inlaws and friends to help pacify the wife. Even the ex-wife's parent pleaded with her but it was to no avail.

Ex wife remained adamant that she was going to leave. Even the judge that administered the divorce gave them enough time for reconciliation since the husband didn't want divorce. After a long tussle, the judge dissolved the marriage.

The wife is now with the Pastor or so I think after Emeka's Twitter rant some days ago..

Be the judge, What is left to be reconciled?
ok. Never knew

I'm glad you brought up the issue of Emeka Ojukwu joining the military as a Non Commissioned Officer despite being a Masters graduate. But there are some things you don't know that I will be glad to explain. See, when C.O Ojukwu returned to Nigeria after finishing his Masters from Oxford, he didn't join the Army immediately. He first worked in the civil service as administrative office for about 2 years. In 1957, he decided to leave civil service and join military because of his father's influence in his civil service career. He wanted to become a man free of his father's influence, and he believed the best way to go about it was to become a soldier. His father wasn't happy with the decision, and knows Emeka Ojukwu temperament wasn't good for a soldier. in order to discourage him, his father pulled string with the then governor general of Nigeria Macpherson to prevent him from being listed as Officer cadet which explain the reason why Chukwuemeka Ojukwu joined the army as an NCO. His father and Macpherson thought that he cannot withstand the rigorous NCO schedule and that he will later leave the army but Emeka persevered. He will however get commissioned when he was recommended by a british depot commander after he corrected a drill sergeant for mispronunciation of a word (element of boldness and pride he has always displayed). Sir Louis Ojukwu (Emeka Ojukwu's father) believed in one Nigeria and made his millions from one Nigeria. Many historians believe that if his father was alive, Emeka Ojukwu wouldn't have declared secession in 1967. His father died in 1966, a year before Chukwuemeka declared Biafra.
what do you mean his father made his millions from 'one nigeria'? How do genuine businessmen make money from one nigeria? The beneficiaries of one nigeria are the bastards in abuja and their foreign allies who you ignorantly support. Why do many so called one nigerianists reason like nusery school pupils.

If his father wanted one nigeria would he have stopped him from joining the army?

Whether it is my Yoruba brother forming Igbo or it is an Igbo lady in love with a Yoruba guy, my advice is valid.

I'm sure majority of the Igbo ladies on this forum either have Yoruba husbands or fiancees or they wish to marry a Yoruba chap.

Either way my advice is legit.
your advice is not valid. One doesnt have to learn a whole new language before she gets married if all were well. If you succeed what of your children? What language or culture should they follow? Inter tribal marrige should result as few personal exception and is never preached as u guys are doing inspite of its glaring shortcomings.

There are good and bad people in every ethnic group. Fact

marrying a good person from your ethnic group is better than marrying a good person from another ethnic group. This summarizes it.

All those saying they can't marry from another tribe, its very obvious their parents didn't do their jobs well in preaching to them about unity in diversity. It all starts and ends with the family. . if I as a father tell my children to embrace all tribes, I have don my duty as a patriot of Nigeria..
no parents go about preaching unity in diversity to their children instead of sound morals. Everybody is meant to marry from their tribes. It is even the Bible. Inter tribal marrige cause identity crisis for children. If anyone cant find someone to marry out of millions in his tribe, let him remain single instead of having to tell your children that their father's or mother's people live a thousand kilometers away or in another country.
