It's not a Bolt issue, let's face it, harassment from security operatives in Lagos is way too much.

These things don't happen in Abuja. Of course, the rider mite feel the driver connived wt SARS but I doubt it.

The issue to b addressed is the constant harrasment of civilians by the police, don't we HV Bolt in Abuja, why is it always Lagos.

Sentiments aside, some drivers can actually do this!
That's not entirely true.

Since the partial closure of the 3MB, Adekunle axis, Oyingbo via Eko Bridge n Costaain roundabout has received a new level of traffic gridlock.

D SARS and d Panti guys just fish from the pool of cars in d traffic.

I have experienced it before, so it's not about any planned work. Once 3MB is closed, no other route to d Island except these places,

Ion think so, Bolt is surely going to lose some riders as long as this #EndSars continues>>

>>Most of there riders are usually Gboys so they'll try playing safe.

>>But what's happening in this country sef cry Twitter is on fire this morning cus of SARS>> God save me till I leave this country o cry
They won't even feel their exit. D boys shouldn't think they r impt. Wt d low fares Bolt is offering. They ain't going nowhere.

If you are in Lagos, and you want to do some serious movt. You need the e ride companies.

I really dont get why riders would request a ride. Driver gets to call and tell them his ETA. The driver gets there still have to wait about 5-10mins.. it's really crazy.

All my trips this morning na the same. Now I have to ask rider if he or she is ready before coming.
Kudos to Uber for that, you can't waste time without paying for it.

I'm guessing the dy r bolt riders, Dey seem so urgent Wen dey call you.
Alas, when you get there, dey keep you waiting.

@ weightless.

Sorry about d ordeal. I believe you are a new to the game.

There's no point in waiting for a rider that has refused to pick your calls nor return them. It shows indifference on d part of d rider, so you shouldn't waste your time on such.

You don't cancel, hmmmn, time is money in ride hailing, you can cancel but within d allowances given. Moreover, rider said, he/she trekked to d destination, so it was a short trip.

Always weigh d comparative cost analysis of your time vis a vis the destination of the said rider.....

Uber/ Bolt / Indrive, preferences differ, the bottomline is, are you making something substantial within the Nigerian context.

Mainwhile bolt is now the king... They've increase their base fare and I believe it same with the main fare.

I'd car b3 challenge last week so I requested and this angel came to my rescue, he said he needed the trip to meet up to his weekend bonus.

May God bless him and provide helper for him when ever he needs help.
[₦60 is not really an increase, it's too marginal.

The real increase shd be on d Km, cos that's when you earn as a driver.

Anyways, there is a new app onboard, if you like the price quote and the area, you go ahead, no threats, no reduction of ratings/ activity score, n no bullshit.

Good morning all ogas PL I notice if I calculate the fair with #65 per km #10 per minute my total money is still being shorted and some folks claim fair was increased below are some screenshots, abeg make una follow me calculate.
D computation is correct. Your fares are accurate.

For d first one.

#1000.

6.1*₦65- 396.5
39*10. - 390
Base fare 200
Total 986.50k ~ #1000 (approx. to d nearest hundred)

Calculate the others using their model.

I still respect guys that have been driving (UberBolt) for 2-3years. You guys are the real Hustlers.
Can they compensate a dead man?

Uber n Bolt should rather do the needful and demand a valid govt identification before allowing riders have an account with them.

Its just pathetic, with a new sim (₦150), you cud generate a new identity on Bolt n Uber.

This r part of d issues I was thinking d new guidelines will address, n not sticker, badges, tags,

Is this your main hustle or part time? If it's d main hustle, pick d corrolla...

As per brain box. Don't park in isolated areas, always park where there is a kiosk, an eatery or something. Caution as long as it's a side street .

At home, always park in a gated compound. Even if it means paying your next house 5k monthly to park in their compound.

Il start doing this as well, funny how theses drivers will beg for good rating but end up under rating riders..
As a rider, I don't worry much about rating. Esp on Bolt, I have picked riders with ratings of 3.0 and below severally.

So from a rider's standpoint, ratings from a driver is overrated, it doesn't carry weight..

As per rider rating driver low for no reason, that's funny,

Cos right now, I'm not scared of any dam rating from any rider... I don't allow any rider intimidate me cos of ratings. If you cross your line, I bring you back immediately...

If for over 5 weeks, during corona, I didn't drive n things moved fine...

Whatever happens, regardless, prolly means, its tym to step into something bigger....

I’ve heard some drivers say they reject trips from riders with low rating because they no want wahala. So if drivers keep dashing out 1 and 2 stars to riders for no justifiable reason, such riders might have a difficult time getting their requests honored. He fit dey go interview now, him no see ride, his potential means of livelihood has been compromised. grin cool
What about riders that rate drivers low just cos of the fare?

This has happened to me a couple of tyms, I just marvel at such riders, y force urself to use Uber/Bolt, when you could jump buses

I mean as a rider, you have an idea of the fare estimates before ordering, if you don't hv much money on you as a rider, there are always alternatives, why put urself under a burden n transfer your anger on d driver.

Bro, it's not about Coro or not. They ordered the ride so it can be any car and anyone. Na God's protection be the koko.
Its d app companies who don't put priority on the safety of their tools/drivers.

I was expecting them to ask for a verified Nigerian ID before allowing a rider to book a ride.

Seen some stupid names of riders like " fish" "Mr" on Bolt severally.

Even LASG disappointed me on this with their E hailing regulations, the focus was just on how to raise money.. embarassedHow can you miss such a very important part of the regulation, safety of the driver?

Shouldn't there be a system to verify the authenticity of a rider.

That is not a problem. There are a lot of car owners looking for people to partner with..

Question is can you drive properly? This is very impt.

Can you work long hours? Cos you can't predict how d server will give you trips.

Don't shut down your tailoring outfit, being mobile can give you a new class of clients, I just hope your skill level can match up to their demands.

Goodmorning Kings. I'm about to negotiate for a car (Toyota corolla) on HP for uber. Owner's asking price is 3.2 with remittance of 30k on weekly basis. I'm new to this Uber industry that is why I humbly succor your inputs as I embark on this terrain. Please here are few concerns I'd love to highlight:

Is 3.2 on the high or a bargain considering how hard the country looks currently?

Is 30k remittance weekly achievable? If yes, will I have some change left to take care of some basic needs?

Would you advice I leave my tailoring work where I make an average of 6-8k weekly for Uber on the conditions listed in 1&2(though the price is subject to negotiation)?
3.2M is a tall order shocked shocked shocked

Find a car on rental first..

Test your grit on the hustle for like 4- 6 months before collecting a car on HP.

Making money on Uber in Lagos is beyond just driving and knowing Lagos....

There is a learning curve, you can't b a rookie and square up HP

You will be shocked with some preconceived notions about the job.

Rental first....

Ok guys I want to ask this question. On Monday, I was at lekki and set destination to Berger, got omole estate wink we began the journey and I checked g map and gmap told me to go through Broad street (marina) as it is 22mins faster than Osbourne. Lo and behold, I took Broad street, before I knew it I found myself inside balogun shocked Google will tell me to turn left to a street that's not motorable or overtaken by market ppl.
We later spent almost 3hrs before reconnecting to 3mb via Adele adeniji.
Yesterday, I set destination to Berger, got ogba from lekki 1. Decided to face normal ikoyi to 3mb. Still spent 3hrs on Osbourn Rd alone. N:b the 2 riders weren't happy with the journey, thinking I intentionally drove them to traffic prone roads. So my question is, since this 3mb repair is on, how do you go to the mainland from the island from 5pm without offending your riders?
Bro. Forget those kind of riders. The riders r not serious... They will leave their house at the peak of rush hour n expect the driver to do magic.

Very unreasonable set of riders, you live in Lagos n you set out at Peak rush hour n you start complaining about the traffic,

I just totally ignore them.

Forget what Google says... if you don't leave V.I or lekki before 2pm, you will spend minimum 2hrs 30mins via the 3MB.
