@ Justwise, i can see you viewing this thread. Please help a brother.

Thanks

Nosyke:
Dear Just wise and co,
Many thanks for your help all these while. I just got an invite this afternoon from my office to attend a company meeting in Bath, Uk from 12-18th of December 2015. My office is fully funding this trip from flight to hotels and even per diem.
I had to rush to the visa website to apply, so far so good especially from the information I got on this forum. However, after confirming application, I am unable to sign the declaration link. I have put my name and today's dates came up. Nothing else, and I cant move to the pay visa fee section.
Looking Standard visa group, it seems the a decision should be made within 10 days. My questions are as follows:
a. Is there a way I could fast track my visa application to be able to come out fast being that I need to be in for that meeting( I know this is too impromptu), maybe is there a possibility to pay higher fees?
b. What should I do from my end
c How do I sign the 'sign declaration page/form' before I am able to make payment.?
Grateful for urgent replies as I am really freaking out in confusion here.
Many thanks

I pray medical breakthrough is gotten here really soon. Like someone up suggested, it would be good if foundations/groups are involved in this.
Fashion / I Haven't Cut My Hair In 35 Years by Nosyke(m): 4:13pm On Oct 13, 2015
Going to the hairdressers can sometimes be a chore but one woman doesn’t bother to get her hair cut at all - in fact, she hasn’t bothered in 35 YEARS.
Gu Meiying, 59, has been growing her hair since she was 24-years-old and it has now grown to a staggering 2.52 metres in length.
But Meiying, of the Miao ethnic tribe in Yunna Province, China, isn’t being lazy - she believes her hair to be a good luck charm.
She even turned down a £2,000 offer to give up her flowing locks - which are around TWICE her height.
Meiying said: “My hair is a treasure and my totem, my lucky charm.
“I also think that long hair is good for health.
"I will keep growing it and will aim for a Guinness World Record.”
Incredibly, her hair is so long that it can take a whole WEEK to dry and it can be wrapped around her body three-and-a-half times.
Meiying now wants to double the length of her hair - to over 5.627 metres - so that she can be included in the Guiness Book of World Records.
The current record holder is Xie Qiuping, another Chinese woman, who began growing her hair in 1973 from the age of 13-years-old.

Like others above have said, what of in cases of serious emergencies?

So NEMA, fire service, ambulances don't get to use sirens but deputy senate president and speaker get to use it. If I may ask, why?

What happens when you book your flight with airlines that are not merged ??

And how many times do you see people struggling to board like this?

When you already have your seat number written on your flight ticket,
It doesn't matter if you're the last to board the plane, you will still have your seat waiting for you.

I'm so sure this is their first time flying on an airplane.

Let me be civil with you.

Recently flights are being merged (example, one aircraft might take passengers for more than one destination with stop overs). Having said that, more than one person gets the same seat number and passengers are more than available space.

This leads to scampering whenever the aircraft arrives often after several hours delay.

I hope this is clear enough, as it's very much possible that they are not first timers as you wrongly asserted.

Okay, I get you now. Like you said and I agree with you, job satisfaction is key.

You are saying these maybe because you have not been privilege to work in that, most of them may appear wretched cos of the job ethics or rather mentality. But I put it to you that most are hotel eatery and church owners, some may drive old passat to work but come and check dem in evening or sunday with their jeeps, atiku and the likes started from government, even the police most are into sport, entertainment and church owners. Which private establishment apart from some well structured will even give you time to go for interview in another establishments not to talk of setting up business or pursuing your passion so that you should grow more than them? How many privates pays overtime, leave bonus and others, even most deprive their staff of public holidays. I imagine when u give a nursing mother one month maternity leave .

Hey Tigress,

Take it easy. You don't know me from jack so you don't know about my dispositions to 'government jobs'. Government job doesn't thrill everyone and i am one of such. (and this isn't for lack of opportunity/access to government jobs). Which kind of job will force one to 'form poverty' just not to attract attention. Sunday flexing, really? So Monday to Friday is for suffer-head?...No, i'll pass life is too short abeg.

People keep on screaming government jobs gives you time to do other things, my question is 'how many businesses do government workers have' how rewarding are they. With their plenty time, what have they achieved compared with their private sector colleagues.

Private sector all the way

Sports / Court Discharges Football Star Mistakenly Sent To Jail by Nosyke(m): 2:02pm On Jan 15, 2015
Hi Mods, I am not sure where to place this, do the needfull please.

A high school football star who was once one of the most highly-sought players in the country has had a rape charge against him dismissed after his accuser admitted it had never happened.

Brian Banks, 26, who spent six years behind bars in California, collapsed in sobs during a court hearing as a prosecutor quickly conceded the decade-old case and moved for a dismissal.

'There are no words in any language, no gesture in any culture that can explain or describe what I have been through,' said Banks. 'I hope my story brings light to a major flaw in the judicial system.

It came after the woman who accused him, Wanetta Gibson, added him as a friend on Facebook when he left prison with a tag. In a message, she explained she wanted to 'let bygones be bygones'.

Banks's lawyer, Justin Brooks, told KPCCthat Gibson and Banks met and she was caught on video saying there there had been no kidnap and no rape, and would help him clear his record.

Yet she refused to repeat the story to prosecutors as she feared she would have to return a $1.5 million payment she won after her mother brought a suit against Long Beach Schools.

She was quoted as telling Banks: 'I will go through with helping you but it's like at the same time all that money they gave us, I mean gave me, I don't want to have to pay it back.'

Banks was jailed after Gibson accused him of rape in 2002, when he was just 16 and being heavily recruited by a number of colleges, including USC, which had offered him a scholarship.

He was on the way to the school office to talk about his college applications when he bumped into Gibson, a fellow student, and they went to a stairwell to make out, Brooks told KPCC.

He explained that Banks said something to upset Gibson and they parted on bad terms. She later accused him of kidnapping her, dragging her across the school and raping her in the stairwell.

Investigators tested her but found no physical evidence of rape, Brooks said. Banks maintained they had not had sex and all sexual contact had been consensual.
Yet his then lawyer encouraged the promising student to plead no contest to the kidnap and rape charges, warning Banks he could get 41 years to life in prison if convicted.

Expecting he would serve just 18 months instead, he followed the advice and pleaded no contest. He was in prison for six years.

While there, his case was taken on by Brooks, a lawyer who head the California Innocence Project.

'Brian’s story is so compelling, and his case for innocence so clear, we knew we had to take this on,' said Justin Brooks. 'Brian lost a huge part of his life when he was unjustly sent to prison.

Brooks said Banks has remained on probation under electronic monitoring, has had to register as a sex offender and has had trouble getting a job.

After the exoneration on Thursday, Banks added: 'My only dream in the world is just to be free... For years, I felt like a toy with the switch cut off, sitting on the shelf.'

Banks continues to train for what he hopes will be a future chance at a football career in the NFL.

'This is a kid who was a superstar,' Brooks added. 'He would be playing the NFL now if this hadn't happened.'

Sometime ago, I informed you guyz of a guy disguising as a youth corper extorting money from people in the pretence that he has a faulty car. Back then, he was using some old looking Honda.

https://www.nairaland.com/1834264/experience-corper-abuja

In the month of November, I ran into this same guy again pretending that his car is bad on the road side and I pulled over and told him the next time I see him, I will arrest him...that was just a threat anyways.

Just this afternoon, I saw this guy again at Dawaki flyover bridge. For those of you familar with Abuja, I am talking about the flyover bridge you have to make U-turn if you intend going into Gwarinpa using Charley Boy/Galadima junction. This time around, he has changed his car to Toyota Camry with Reg Number DWG 194 AA

I had to find my way to park so I could take picture of him. On sighting me, he recognised my car from afar and then made move to get into his car. Immediately, I drove straight to him and parked in front of him. The next thing, he got into his car, reversed and entered into the service lane and drove off heading towards Kubwa. I trailed him from behind hoping I could get to a check point and alert police. On noticing that I was trailing him, he increased his speed. I wasn't in the mood to chase him and that wasn't my direction so I had to go my way. Please see pictures of the scene below.

We all should be watchful of this guy. This is xmas period and he is seriously hustling for money.

Cc: Supermod please move this to front page so that people are aware. Thanks

I have seen this guy twice...once on your way to katampe in the morning. He was holding a keg as if his fuel just finished, this was 2 days after your initial thread.

2 weeks back I saw him again, on my way from Kaduna if your are plying through Bwari close to Veritas university signboard.

That guy is a criminal and deserves no help. There are better ways of making money. I know people that do taxis on hire purchase that have families, wife and kids.... So I see nor Eason why he can't use his car to do taxi.....

Ordinary airport drop off from 3k and above so??

I've approached girls and exchanged numbers with them in markets, banks, under the sun, in the rain, and pretty much everywhere (except in a salon, cos I have no business there in the first place). In fact, one big booty girl I met in a bank (while queuing to deposit money) sometime in 2011 eventually proved to be one of my most enjoyable affairs till date.

As I see it, the most important conditions are that (1) You are comfortable, (2) she is comfortable, and (3) your looks/approach/something about you makes a good impression. It also helps to keep things light-hearted, with a whiff of 'no-big-deal' nonchalance.

The bottom line is that a confident man has the prerogative to approach any woman anywhere, anytime and the woman has the prerogative to cooperate or decline. If she is inclined, they can exchange numbers and see where it leads. If she declines, you simply move on with utmost indifference. One should never feel reluctant to take chances simply because one thinks that the environment/circumstance isn't conducive enough. You'd deprive yourself a great deal of wonderful experiences and successes in life if you habitually wait for only ideal circumstances to take action. If you ask, it might be given. On the other hand, if you do not ask, it shall NOT be given. It's that simple.
