We welcomed our young master on 19 December at 40+1. Labour was for a few hours. Between confirming she was fully dilated and baby coming was less than 30 minutes (but I promise she'd tell you it was longer. Lol) I was just there like a literal zombie.

Everything still feels surreal looking back now.

Congrats Newest Daddy in Town. Pls send our love to wifey and baby..

My wife is pregnant right now but my one year and eight months child has been sick for the pass three days, in the day time he will be playing but in the evening his body will be very hot. I don't know what to do. we have taken him to the hospital there gave him some drugs and put her on three days injection still no improvement.

Pls take your LO back to the hospital for more tests. It might just be persistent malaria. These days, multiple treatments are needed but should be done after appropriate tests have been run such as malaria parasite, full blood count and presence of infection. Don't ignore or joke with fever in children. It's not good for them at all cos they can hardly can express themselves.

There is nothing wrong with breastfeeding while pregnant. The only thing you need to do is feed well because you will need alot of nutrients to sustain the baby growing in you and your LO you are still breast feeding. Also try to introduce your home made meals to your LO cos time will come when the pregnancy begins to have its toll on you, you might not be able to feed your LO as much as you want to. Then gradually try to Wean your LO also. Don't do this abruptly. So that he/ she doesn't feel pushed away.
Forget all those superstitious beliefs. They are all lies.

Just the doctor saying 3.2 is the peak for VBAC, that 3.5kg will be CS. That’s just the only problem

Babes two things are involved.
1. It's either after thorough examination, your pelvic isn't wide enough to carry on with a VBAC/ and or you already have complications during pregnancy that they are avoiding taking any risks hence the advice for CS or

2. Your hospital is one of those hospitals that use CS to generate revenue.

I have an aunt who has done 3 VBAC with babies weighing 4kg...all 3 Boys and they are all very fine.

Can you seek the counsel of another doctor to second this conclusion your doctor is giving you?

Good morning mamas, please I need your help. My 2 years and 2 months old toddler is yet to be potty trained. I've tried putting him on the potty severally, he'll stay for a minute and stand up any attempt to force him to stay longer will result in serious tears. He can identify his potty, he even carries it but he will never use it. I changed tactics and tried teaching him the words poopoo and wee-wee so he can say them when he's pressed but he still hasn't learnt the words. I don't even know when he wants to poo or wee as he hardly gives a sign, most times it's from the smell I know that he has poo. I stopped wearing diapers for him at home when he gets back from school and he goes on the floor without stress making my house a mess. Sometimes I just wear it for him if I don't have strength to clean.
I feel like I don't even know what I'm doing. I need help, he's a big toddler and the size 5 diaper is beginning to get small for him. Has anybody gone through this? How can I achieve a better result?

Pls Mums I'm having this same issue with my 2 and Half year old too....Help us out ooo...

Sometimes it's also not really good having so many people around in a house. Everyone starts expecting everyone to look after everyone thereby nobody is looking after anyone....that's what just happened in this case.

The couple had traveled for a family gathering to Ibadan yesterday and had left Ifeanyi with his minders who can't explain how he entered the pool without being noticed and drowned.

This is just too sad. He just had his 3rd birthday a few days back.
No matter how wealthy I am, having a pool on my premises when I have toddlers and children still growing up is a NO NO.

As much as you feel you have healed completely, pls be gentle on yourself cos 2weeks is too short to heal internally after an episiotomy. You are still a bit fresh on the inside so pls still be careful.

Great. Is it possible for babies to be overfed? My baby prefers the breast in her mouth all through the midnight, once she's asleep and I put her down, she cries looking for breast.

Yes, it's possible. That's why you feed on demand( when your baby shows signs of hunger by trying to stuff his or her hand into the mouth, tries to lick anything that comes close to it's mouth, cries cos it's been sometime ago he/she ate and or hasn't eaten in the past 2hours or less cos she/he is asleep).
Leaving your breast in her mouth all night isn't a good habit as she will or has formed the habit of not sleeping without it.
Try feeding her for a longer period before bedtime enough for her to sleep off. After about 20mins or more depending on how deep the sleep is, you will notice her lip has loosened from the nipple. Gently collect your nipple back or use your clean little finger to loosen the grip in her mouth by putting it in the corner of her mouth for the nipple to come out, then put her down in her cot for her to continue on her own.
I hope it works for you.

Pls do not stop or reduce the way you feed your baby (as long as you feed on demand). Your baby is perfectly fine and there is no health challenge attached to it. Babies on exclusive experience growth sprout and are also big cos they get all they need from the breast milk they take.
My LO is just 2months but if you see her eeeh, she looks 6 months and weighs above 5kg.
I'm not surprised. It's the magic in exclusive.

Countries too outside Nigeria are experiencing flooding too, so why is it Anambra's own that is your headache? My flask broke at the door of the hospital on the day I was in labour so DH dashed out and got this one and I must confess, this one is badass. Thank God that one broke sef...it retains heat for daaaaysss.....
