You friend should do his underground work in the company. He should get to know all that needs to be known by a manager in that position, policies, his role, deliverables, expectations. Use your staff carefully to carry you through, humbly learn and relearn, develope yourself at the same time.
It has nothing to do with a degree...it's totally self will and dedication.

Battling reoccurrent cough, cold and catarrh for 2yr old. Tired of going to hospital and be given more and more drugs, that seem not curr it completely,

Is there a surefire way of treating this in toddlers, note we dont use AC, and fan is once in a while.
Learnt pineapple+honey+ginger juice works wonders, but the toddler is a picky eater, hence runs away from the juice.

First of all, do you over dress your toddler? Like try to keep them warm always?
See, I learnt this from my mum. Sometimes when you over dress a toddler, they sweat but can't and won't complain. This sweat soaks their clothes and still stays with them as the move or play around making them constantly cold within meanwhile giving you the impression they are warm.

Secondly, you need to go to the hospital and ask your doctor if they can run a culture test to pick out the particular bacteria causing this and handle it squarely.

Thirdly, children especially toddlers have a habit of reinfecting themselves cos of the hand to mouth contact. Make sure your floors are cleaned properly( try adding bleach to floor cleaning if you don't use it) and surfaces are dusted too to reduce such. Also be careful of the adults that come around your toddler. Relations also are another source of infection we overlook.

Baba was just too dirty. I tried...The Lord knows I did. Plus he wanted us to date forever.
I would come for weekends and meet piles of plates stinking, some had maggots in them to tell you how long they have been there, dirty bathroom, dirty clothes etc.
At some point I felt he left them like that on purpose cos he knew I would come around to visit with my Semi OCD behaviour. We were both doing well and could settle down but whenever I bring up the topic, Oga would always promise next year.
I don't waste time in love matters ooo but I gave this nigga 2years...still nothing. I withdrew, stopped coming around, Baba started f**king a rich colleague and told me she was better and would give him a brighter future.
I was hurt but Karma Toh Nice!!! Chick gave him STD, and left the country. Baba called to confess, apologise and ask for a rematch thinking his hold on me still worked.
Told him while he was hitting her hard, I met someone and we were getting married in a week's time.
As at today, Baba is single. I don't know if his cleaning habit changed, don't care....but he still tells anyone he knows his biggest regret was breaking up with me...
Like I said, I don't care!

It's not too early dear.. Your body is changing to accommodate your baby. Your baby is also adding weight and your uterus is expanding thereby putting more pressure on your ligaments and muscles at your pelvic area hence the pain.
It's totally normal.

Yesterday i noticed I wasn't in the mood of drinking water nd I was even reluctant and it,i didn't take enough,later the kind braxton hicks I felt ehn abi na contraction be that one asif its time for baby to come..

Until i decided to take enough water nd it stopped..

If you can't drink sachet pure water try bottle water,put in your freezer let it cold well well..

Nothing is wrong in drinking cold water..

The idea is let water enter ur belle..

My sister eeeh...The matter tire me. I don't know why it's the things that we are suppose to do regularly that we get tired of in pregnancy....
I was a fish before I took in. Now I have to force myself and remind my self that my LO needs it more than I do before I can drink. If it's all these useless drinks now that come in different colours and sizes, if not for disciple and the fear of Our Lord, na for crate we for dey drink am but buy carton of water drop here now, e don turn looking competition..

this ur kind of matter happened to me as well wen i was pregnant wit my first child... Got a government job in ibadan wen i ws 5months preggy... Omo!!! Come n c thinking... I tink so teh my head wan blow, but it didnt stop me frm acceptin d job... I didnt resume immediately wen i was abt to resume, i gv birth n i was given 4months maternity leave, den corona lockdown began in january.. To cut long story short sha... I didnt resume office until i moved out of d country... But if i were stil in nigeria, i wud ve resume work n my mom or my sister wil come stay wit me.
I just got a call frm my mom to hire a nanny 4 my baby n start work... I told her i cant give my baby to a stranger to watch ova wen i am not around abegiiiii... I dnt trust dis oyinbo pipu n their fake smile.

Can't your office transfer you sef? There should be room for that unless there isn't a Branch office in Hubby's location.
Babes money matter can be tricky. If you don't have a reserve, don't pull out yet ooo....even the reserve, how long will it take you and the family?
Now is the time for your MIL or your Mum to save the day....

Form the habit of gently removing the thumb from his mouth whenever you catch him sucking. Don't just allow him cos he is a baby. They are humans too and with time, he will get the message.
Same thing happened with my first. I kept removing it and talking to her until she stopped. Then she formed another habit of sticking out her tongue from her mouth. I kept closing it whenever I saw it and kept talking to her, then she stopped too. She was also 4 months then.
Do it gently/playfully and say stuff like "mummy doesn't like that or Good boys don't suck their thumbs" Forget they are babies, they listen especially to us their mothers....

Meanwhile I was planning to resign from my work place by the end of July when I'll commence my maternity leave following the advice of some mamas here to take off from 36weeks. Now the funny thing that happened yesterday 29/6/2022 was that I received a promotion letter o with almost double of my current salary with effect from this July that's starting tomorrow. (Promotion I've been expecting since 2019 before I got married sef and it refused to come).
Right now, ayam confused o. Don't know if to accept the new position and enjoy increased pay or to re-unite with my husband from the maternity leave and enjoy my young family. The matter tire me. I have till 1st July to accept or decline the new position.

You can't be confused ooo....accept the promotion, don't resign yet...you can buy time using maternity leave....then you and hubby can come to a decision if you can resign or not and if he can carry the whole family bills by himself pending when you get another job.
Babies come with extra bills I must say...and there is no harm in making extra money but las las the final decision depends on you, hubby and you guys financial standing.

You are just 3weeks post delivery. It took your tummy 9 months to grow, give it time to heal and don't go doing funny funny things to make it come down within a flash cos everyone telling you your tummy is big has one solution or the other....
Remember your LO needs you more than these people.

Alot is wrong. If you have been lucky, Out of the say 10 people I housed, 9 were a bad idea. Just go to a pharmacy and buy ORS, nothing more...drink it till the running tummy stops and make sure you mix a new bottle after 24 hours that's if you don't finish it.
It's totally safe in pregnancy.

Cappo we're fine o. Thanks for checking on us. My level of discomfort just dey increase everyday. Like I'm just sitting down by this time of the day simply because lying down has become so uncomfortable for me. And I have to be up early to prepare for work.

I really have a little concern ooo. I reside far away from the hospital and state I intend giving birth in. My plan is to commence my leave at exactly 38weeks (2weeks to my EDD) so I can travel to the state I'll be delivering in (where hubby resides) I hope I'm not making a mistake. Because right now all my baby stuffs and all the hospital requirements that I've packed are in the state where my hubby reside. Is it possible for labor to start earlier than 38weeks for a FTM?
I really don't want to give birth here as I have no one to assist me if labour starts here.

StarryV dearie....I concur with other mums ooo...as a FTM, you labour is bound to start anytime from 38 weeks but at the same time, it's good not to over stress yourself cos you have no idea how your body will react.

One of us asked a Question. How are you making the trip? I won't even advise you travel alone as a first time mum. I'm not saying anything will happen but we have to be extra careful. Even if you want to take a risk, highest 37weeks to make the trip.
Mental health has alot to add to this our journey you know..

Lemme tell you how "they" use it .. "They" put the fallen cord in a piece of cloth and tie it, then put the piece of cloth on a lantern, test the heat on their cheeks to know if its suitable for the baby's skin before putting it on the navel. "They" say it helps it to heal fast.. My MIL couldn't do it to as we do not have lantern

It's as if you know what I wanted to ask today. I have never heard of lantern and baby before..
My whole mind was that MIL wanted to put the hot top of the lamp on babys navel.....

1. My baby cord fell off on the 6th day and since den, MIL do use hot water to press it because she can't find Lantern, I suggest cleaning with spirit and applying chroloxyl gel bt she said No saying it needs heat to heal fast. Now that she has left, what can I use to heal it fast pls because I can c it's not yt healed totally
2. My CS area has sumtin like pulse/boil plus swollen and it do burst itself attyms though I clean with spirit every time but not looking dry and healing to me though d swollen part has reduced abit now but still not comfortable wit it, what can I do to hasten the healing process
3. How will my tummy become flat back, av been drinking warm water but it has still not gotten down totally, still asif person gt belle.

No. 1...Thank God your MIL has gone cos I don't know what she wanted to use lantern to do to the babys navel. Pls continue cleaning with mentholated spirit and cotton bud and applying even common Vaseline will do the magic. The Vaseline is to help it not to become too dry and start bleeding too. It will heal off properly and close up. Make sure you clean properly to avoid it getting infected.

No. 2 Your CS area is infected. You need to see a doctor to ascertain it's level of infection to that drugs can be prescribed to help it heal. You also need to double up on keeping that area really clean.

No.3 You had CS, pls allow your body to heal gradually. It took you 9months and plenty hormonal changes to get here and it cannot and will not go away in a twinkle of an eye. Don't force yourself into strenuous work so you don't rupture your sutures or burst open your uterus from inside. That one go be another wahala altogether. With time, everything including the belle will go back into place but for now, it's still too early to start worrying about flat tummy especially with the beautiful way you brought forth your little one.

We are fine ooo By God's grace. The back pain, muscle pulls, pelvic pain, lack of appetite for anything I cook myself, tiredness...the list just goes on...but in the end, We give God all the praise...

Mama's pls be careful with this Agbo thing flying up and down. Our LOs digestive systems are too tender to be passed through that kinda acidic stress in the name of tradition ooo..
I have seen Agbo do some very nasty damage to LOs that made me swear no to even take it as an adult..
Some kids might escape being hurt, while some had to pay with their lives....
God made us mum's to be able to make the right decisions on behalf of these babies who can't do so for themselves right now so they can be safe.
