If you are sure of your worth, you dont need people to address you with titles to feel important.
The quaity of a man's character/training should emanate from his/her interactions with fellow human beings and not from titles.

Most people brandishing titles about in Nigeria/africa are actually hollow from the inside.

I have seen people in their remedial yr (Law) in d University being called "Barrister"
And stark illiterates bestowed "doctorate" titles by our compromised universities.

And village chieftaincy titles? thats a free-for-all. Just make a few bucks (by hook or crook) and go back and shower the village head and a few kingmakers, voila! you now have "chief" to add to your titles.


It is all in vain.

The real achievement is how much you impact other people's lives positively.

greatdave: When i first got to my PPA(Place of primary assignment), i was like wtf?! No lite(No electric poles anywhre),No pipe-borne water and Flunctuating Network? Students in d school i teach-where 90% of ss3 stdnts cant communicate effectively in english-absent themselves for the flimsiest reasons:rain,market days/burials are unofficial public holidays. The major cases dealt with by d 'police station' in d village are goat/chicken theft,farmland trespassing,poligamy fights. Hoping to make some serious positive impact b4 i leave nxt year...pls feel free to share your experiences

mamikky: The Enugu home of Veteran Actor, Nkem Owoh, popularly known as ‘Osuofia’ was recently raided by armed robbers.

The star actor who was in Abuja as at the time of the robbery lost his Mitsubishi Montero Jeep with number plate BU 64 FST, alongside other valuables to the hoodlums.

Owoh, confirmed the robbery but maintained no life was lost, aside his property such as, Toshiba laptop and camcorder.

He revealed that the intruders broke into his house at Phase 6; Tran’s Ekulu, Enugu, sneaked in and had a filled day.

He said: “I was in Abuja last week Saturday when my neighbours called that it was like my place was burgled, that my gate appeared to be open.

“I asked them to check and they reported back that out of the three vehicles parked in the compound, the Jeep was no longer there.

“I called my driver and asked him to make a report to the police immediately, which he did.”

Consequently, Owoh returned to Enugu as a result of the incident and further confirmed that the robbers removed the burglary roof in his window, through which they were able to remove the laptop.

He said there are no suspects for now but noted that the police had been alerted.
