it has to do with a complex suffered by Africans in general. If you are sure of your worth, you dont need people to address you with titles to feel important. The quaity of a man's character/training should emanate from his/her interactions with fellow human beings and not from titles. Most people brandishing titles about in Nigeria/africa are actually hollow from the inside. I have seen people in their remedial yr (Law) in d University being called "Barrister" And stark illiterates bestowed "doctorate" titles by our compromised universities. And village chieftaincy titles? thats a free-for-all. Just make a few bucks (by hook or crook) and go back and shower the village head and a few kingmakers, voila! you now have "chief" to add to your titles. It is all in vain. The real achievement is how much you impact other people's lives positively. |
True talk my brother. Imagine somebody like OBJ that was a bull in a china shop whe he ran Nigeria for 8 yrs, still having the effrontery to open his hereditally ugly mouth and speak about politics and strategising for 2015. I wonder what he is still looking for. |
naptu2: Diezani Alison-MaduekeBiggest obstacle to corruption fighting presently. |

Let him resign from his postion as Senate president first, because he got that by virtue of his state of origin. |
Bicycle all the way!!!! I think we have became too lazy with the availability of okada. Advantages of a bicycle include: ->Near Zero Maintenance ->Thorough workout- you will gradulally see improvement in your health and appearance. ->No parking trouble-you can easily push it into your house and lean it on the wall. ->No fuel money, mechanics will not suck you anymore. ->LASTMA, police, road safety, VIO--- all of them will not give you a second glance. ->No number plate, MOT, sticker, radio tax, or whatever. I think its time for guys to consider Bicyles dealerships and allied businesses |
Elueme: Source pls. Stop feeding me with ruse. If it's a gossip news indicate so we know what category of seriousness we attach to the thread.Your statement is freakin' pathetic. Fashola is the CEO and the chief law enforcer of Lagos state. His agents have the right to impound any vehicle driven in contravention of gazetted state laws. Your kind of thinkong is part of what brought Nigeria on its knees: that laws should apply differently to different kinds of people. Let fashola auction the murafucking baboon's vehicle and lets see if heavens will fall. |
Jubal01: Al dis r d results of our systems failure 2 provyd jobs 4 d youths. God wil deliva us.Nope. This is a sing of boundless greed, abuse of talent and laziness by our youth. There are many jobless folks out there trying to make an honest living, and it is not got's job to provide jobs for everybody anyway. |
Even a 5 year-old can predict flood with the magnitude of rains this year |
naijathings: and now it is time to throw multi mullion naira of tax payers money parties and conferences in the name of welcoming the "first lady".And endless full page, color adverts in the print media, and prime time adverts on National TV, all on public funds by heads of ministries/parastatals, and sychopantic CEOs of private companies that feed on govt patronage. Not ot forget the various groups and associations that will be trooping to Aso Villa and Otuoke to pay "welcome", remember-us visits |

Too many members. Some only there to "chop" and maintain their relevance. The rainy season will have passed and the flood waters receded by the time the committee starts to work. GEj, next committee please. |
Politicians will bail them out |
He can only "monitor' but was unable to organise free and fair elections |
Achebe will forever remain my Hero for rejecting the bastardised National Award. That goes a long way to show that he is not an attention-seeking mediocre. His action is the kind of stuff with which great souls are made: reject the glitter and pursue the noble, no matter the consequences. I pray for more Achebes in this country. |
ilugunboy: Some of us like that shapeYeah, but too much fat can get freaky. |
Indians ke.... India too is going thru power cuts |
She is too fat |
Im don chop strong person money. Who be mugu now? |
Dede1: Local champions are always delighted with beer parlor-styled discussion. This goofy thread is no exception. If Nigerians in Diaspora are bitter about the state of affairs in Nigeria, one can easily conclude without malice that the alleged bitterness is drawn from series of conspicuous dead-end behaviors from Nigerians at home. In addition, the so-called Nigerians in Diaspora have grown to appreciate orderly environment stuffed with social decorum. You, sir, have summed it up. One cant escape being angry if you live in a civilised society and look back at our country and waht it has turned to. |
It is called the law of the land. That is why in the US, for example, you cant deny the holo cau st, and you cant be anti-semitic in Israel. |
shol: i think the CBN Governor is articulate, Bold and knows his Job, do you expect him τ̅☺ be Timid or timorous, or yellow in character? So he can be easily manipulated and the NA can always influence him τ̅☺ the Nations detriment?Yes, and the National Assembly members think their only jobs are inflated salaries/allowances and endless and fruitless summons/probes |
mamikky: The Enugu home of Veteran Actor, Nkem Owoh, popularly known as ‘Osuofia’ was recently raided by armed robbers. The quality of reporting here is apalling |
cheddarking: In case you missed it...I dont join issues with kids |
