CareerRe: Is It Wrong To Help Your Boss With His Or Her Bag? by Novice1(m): 4:50pm On Sep 13, 2012
@ TOPIC: Yes!!.. It reduces you to the level of a Biitch..

You should be appraised by your performance on the Job, not by how much of a butt kisser you are..

The only time you are allowed to give your boss a hand with anything not work related is only when he/she has too much on her hands that you offered to help.. NOTHING MORE, NOTHING LESS.. You are co-workers, not master and slave..

If you act like a biitch in front of your boss because you want to appear humble and nice, dont get angry when your boss treats you like one.angry
Yes, that works in the private sector. But in government, you cant afford not to be in good terms with your boss. AND EVEN IN THE PRIVATE SECTOR, ESPECIALLY ONE MAN OR FAMILY BUSINESSES, you have to play a** kisser or you have no career

Seun: If the punishment does not fit the crime, it is not justice. 1 year jail term does not fit this crime, and that's all there is to it.
When we read about Shariaists stoning girls for getting pregnant, we are indignant, because even though it works, it's not just.
The solution to petty crimes is not to make the punishment unreasonable and wicked, but to enforce reasonable penalties consistently.
And what brings Sharia into this?

TravelRe: Aviation-Minister Blocks Foreign Airlines From Abuja by Novice1(m): 10:36pm On Aug 28, 2012
oyb: desperate move to drive business in a civil service town.

typical abuse of position o drive a suspiciously ethnic agenda madness.if some other minister had ordered that airlines should land in ilorin the sma ekinsmen cheering would be crying foul.

pray tell, what industries or businesses are in enugu? just a move to force people to stay in cheap unsafe hotels - and to boost the enugu lagos/abuja/ph routes
God bless your life oyb

We will not be forced to go to that dusty, desolate, crime-ridden place just catch a flight. I will rather cross the border into Benin or Ghana and catch my flight.

This decision is dead on arrival. No profit-making foreign airline will fly to Enugu.

Stella can revive Nigeria Airways and force them to fly Dubai-Enugu.

giles14: Is she from Enugu?weather she is from enugu or not dos'nt define her directive,hw many northerns travel abroad apart frm dose on hajj.
We should remove puerile shenangians when posting in public forums.

It doesn't matter whether a Northerner, southerner, easterner, westerner, middle belter, or whoever travels abroad, fact is, the airlines have demand from Abuja and they want to fly from there.

We are cursed with people in National decision-making portfolios but are still localites at heart.

TravelRe: Aviation-Minister Blocks Foreign Airlines From Abuja by Novice1(m): 6:25pm On Aug 28, 2012
Very pedestrian thinking by the minister. I shudder to think of the calibre of policy makers we have in this country. When will they start to see themselves as leaders of a country and not a section? I bet if she has a chance she may want to have an airport in her village and force airlines to land there.

This is exactly the problem with Nigeria. and the Okoro brothers are having orgasms because she wants to force airlines to enugu.

Air traffic is always driven by demand. You can never force reputable foreign airlines to that glorified airfield that looks like a workshop.

Allow the airlines to land where they want, she should feel challenged to expand the capacities of the airports they want to land, and leave that as her legacy after she has stepped down, but banal sentiments are to deep seated to allow her make a rational decision.

O God, provide us with visionary and selfless leaders in Nigeria.
